yungboss: i think the new optima is a 2.0 turbo...not too sure. I'l find out, i thought it also had over 200hp, ample power for the car...There's the 2.4 and the 2.0. Both are naturally aspirated reaching 100km/h in 9.5 and 10.9 seconds respectively. Am waiting for the new cerato/forte. That has a lower weight and also has a 2.0 l engine option |
Rooneyboy: Off point, my friend GEJ realized his mistake, hence his reversal, believe u me if it were by his powers he would have stuck to his guns, why do u think he reversed his decisionhe reversed his decision because of the following reasons: legal due process was not followed (note it was against the act establishing the university and not the constitution as you earlier quoted) the name change was intended to appease to the south-west by immortalising MKO, a renowned activist from that region, this backfired obviously there was no need to continue a non-rewarding fight....the people whom he wanted to please were obviously displeased. On the question of if he wanted his decision to stand, well...its possible. here is how: he would have sent an ammendment request to the legislative arm his peeps would have lobbyed and influenced the assembly peeps....ghana must go bags could have exchanged ownerships etc the name change would have been ratified by the legislature and pronto......MAULAG stays but doing a CBA, Cost to Benefit analysis, its evident it wasnt worth the fight.... |
Rooneyboy: And what did this "act of parliament" came together to doplease dont make me laugh. are you saying there is no difference between the constitution and an Act of the legislature? rooneyboy dont make me angry this morning o....i can make that 3G on your phone turn to half G o.....lol |
funky medina: bloody fisherman ..finally come to his sensesjust because he came from a fishing community doesnt make him a fisherman. dont you think your comments are tribal? how would you like to be called a bloody monkey by a white kiddo from texas? |
Rooneyboy: Frankly bro, it just goes to show that of them at the helm of affairs know absolutely nothing about our constitution.COnstitution? how well do you know the constitution? Unilag was set up by an act of parliament and not the constitution pal. lets stop this 'i sabi pass them' attitude the guy for once swallowed his pride and reverted a wrong proclamation and we all sit on our cushions and mock him? SMH |
this decision makes Jonathan more respectable. it implies that he listens to the pleas of the citizens. he could actually bury his pride and ego just to make sure draconian laws are not forced down our throats. he deserves some commendation. |
Bro, i wonder how people make more than 160 on these cars, wouldn't it fly into thin air?..I made 120km/hr with a Hyundai Accent and it felt like a feather, my blood ran stiff, i had to quickly return the car back to the owner
what year model is the accent? how long has it been used? do you usually drive beyond 120km/hr on other cars? the new models perform just like every other asian cars (if not more...though am sure japs would like to shred me on this) i had a test drive in a new optima in their office along apapa oshodi exp way last month and was thrilled.... |
lastround: I did 200km/hr in 1996 on christmas on our way to lekki beach along lekki roadguy, that road strip aint worth the risk....easy bro. At 200km/hr, you are doing an equivalent of 55 metres every second. fifty five whole metres..... |
i just got a brand new Kia Rio 2013 model.... went to ilorin recently. along that sweet strip from ogbomosho to Ilorin (best road section i have witnessed in nigeria. flat, straight and smooth) i maxed out the korean kiddo and surprisingly, the needle didnt pass 160km/h (*embarrased). i gave the damn thing all the gas possible but it wont go beyond the 160 mark. it was then i realised its possible there is a speed limiter on the car. for a 1.4l engine, i think 160km/h aint bad. i have done 200km/hr on that road section twice. first in a 2000 model acura legend and second in my untiring 2000 model BMW 323 Ci. i dont fancy speeds above this |
Keneking: What are in the other paragraphs that we hid from the public?good question. was hoping this would have been asked in the first few quotes....only the usual surmised conclusions. this post has reached two pages and no discussion on the remaining paragraphs? |
AdoreKIZITO: u are senseless, brainless and stupid, ur DAD can never be better than GEJ if any1 will evn agree to vote for himPeople like you should be carefully hand-picked, placed in a rocket and sent off to a cave in mars.... You sound so personal as if you are part of those crumb scramblers at GEJ's table. What did his dad do to warrant such a drag? Would you love to see your own dad dance naked to azonto on NTA network news? Grow up. Free internet does not mean free intelligence. |

coogar: nonsense....dear made-in-jupiter blackberry owner, what stopped you from leaving whatever part of the planet you currently habit just to 'at least take a picture' with your 200 MP camera smartphone? maybe you should open a training school so people can start learning how to use smartphones just like you... |

Jonwesley: I like reading ur piece as it speaks my mind about Blackberry phones. Your diction was on point and I like the choice of words. Great write up.You should not have quoted the entire script. |
The bible is explicit in these matters. We should have no other gods....we should not bow or worship any graven image. We should honour The Lord our God.... These were the basics. Idolatory worship will continue to exist as a source of comfort to those who desire it despite its obvious fallacies. The very simple verse of john 3 vs 16 surmises it all. "....whosoever believes in Him will not perish...". Christ also said that 'He is the way, the truth and Life. Nobody comes to the Father except through Him'. If your 'paganic theorems' support many gods, what basis does your belief now stand on as The God christians serve forbid associations with idols? Remember a house against itself cannot stand You quoted so many different forms of idolatory worship with diverse cultures, practices and ideologies which in many situations conflict with other idol-belief. How does these add up? In answering questions, please refrain from misquoting and twisting. Its either you ignore or you attempt. |
Denn: pa·gan/ˈpeɪgən/ Show Spelled [pey-guhn] Show IPA |
pa·gan/ˈpeɪgən/ Show Spelled [pey-guhn] Show IPA noun 1. one of a people or community observing a polytheistic religion, as the ancient Romans and Greeks. Synonyms: polytheist. 2. a person who is not a Christian, Jew, or Muslim. Synonyms: heathen, gentile; idolator; nonbeliever. 3. an irreligious or hedonistic person. 4. a person deemed savage or uncivilized and morally deficient. polytheist pol·y·the·ism/ˈpɒliθiˌɪzəm, ˌpɒliˈθiɪzəm/ Show Spelled [pol-ee-thee-iz-uhm, pol-ee-thee-iz-uhm] Show IPA noun the doctrine of or belief in more than one god or in many gods. source: dictionary.com in line with the above definitions, it can be surmised that for reference purposes, a pagan is deemed to be an individual who has diverse beliefs in many gods, each for a specific purpose...so there is a god for fertility, a god for rain, a god for good health etc... it takes a deep understanding of the way a human mind works in order to understand THE NEED for gods. the human mind is evidently bigger than his body and wanders in thoughts, ideas, postulations things that follow basic natural laws are understood by the human mind and are acceptable in generic our thought process- we understand pain, love, etc. all these stem from the natural flow of human thoughts it gets complicated when certain events occur, the basis of which is not understood in our flow of logic. Events like death, drought, floods, famine etc which are not recurrent events are viewed as extra-ordinary. Humans attribute these events to supernatural beings, hence the desire to appease them and worship them. belief in pagan gods is an evidence of a lower sub conscious thought process and not explainable in this present age of scinece and innovation. The superior belief in God (very different from the belief in the man made gods) is totally different and not dependent on our thought processes |

the world would be easier if ladies were allowed to propose to guys they like.....it can be proven that this will actually reduce divorce cases globally. |
2. single ladies should stop the rate of eatery intake Vice president, single guys assoc.Nig / Canada.
i love this quote on 'eatery intake'. You need to see the way some girls now download catfish peppersoup as if they are on unlimited bandwith...and they would limit drinks intake to just smirnoff ice and power horse, yet these brands cost more than a simple bottle of lager. ![]() |

Lady Winona: I don't see where the doctor had erred. He had simply explained d situation in the way that any layman can understand it. If he had said that her PCV was static at 18L/L despite 40 pints of packed cells been infused due to possible aplasia of the red blood cell evidenced by lack of erythrocytes query cause, would you have understood him? Let's be fair here.i will tell you the doctor's fault in my own "layman's" view. the doctor checked and found a low PCV, administered blood and despite this found even lower levels, he decided to administer more....and more and more....... its like saying a car engine has a low level of oil so you add more, you check and it has a lower level so you add more and more..... why administer more fluids when the problem hasnt been found. please note that there was no mention of the ailment from the doctor's statement. this implies the doctor did not conduct the proper tests or did not refer the patient to a specialist on time. i expected to read something like 'Bisi was diagnosed of an acute case of XXXXXXX after several tests. this resulted in her having a low PCV despite administering 40 pints of blood to her over a YYY period. This is the main issue with some Nigerian Doctors and the way they handle ailments....am very sure she would have first been treated with malaria, then thyphoid then more blood and more blood |
Eko_ole, you should change the topic to; IGBO MAN ACQUIRES ANOTHER LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT PROPERTY; SET TO TRAIN YORUBA AREA BOYS TO BECOME MECHANICS.
@Sunny_Bobo, in twenty years from now when your kids are grown to surf the net, would you be happy to let them see your tribal rantings on the world wide web? Igbo man this, yoruba man that.... are you aware those guys in down south africa drive cars made in SA, Ghana has uninterrupted power supply, China's economy is now core to the world's survival, dubai was just a sandy section of the middle east 30 years ago, india has their own manufacturing plants for vehicles, tricycles and has one of the best health institutions world over? all these happened because they looked beyond tribal sentiments and embraced people from other regions..... permit me to ask, how wide is your horizon? |
