I personally wouldn't be okay with this even if they were siblings but these children are cousins so I don't think this is right. Okay, we all want this but healthy people understand that in reality this is not possible. Do you understand and accept that it is not possible?

It's like wanting to grow wings, it's okay to want it but we have to understand that it is impossible and we settle for the next best thing which is sky diving or paragliding lol.

You could use this need to motivate your dreams and aim to succeed. Aim to be better than yourself yesterday and ignore other people's successes. If you can't be happy for them, that too is fine just don't hate them or yourself because of their success. If you can't do this then you might need to see a psychologist to overcome the issues before you develop some sort of personality disorder.

Lol. That's another way to look at it but we can't play armchair psychiatrists and diagnose people as psychopaths. I think we should offer solutions to his problems and validate his feelings because we are human and we are prone to negative thoughts and feelings.
