@Uzoo, yes, I love egusi with bitter leaves. In fact, my fave vegetable to use with egusi is uziza. I also use uziza seeds. However, stella isn't from naija, and to be honest, finding the english names for irun, uziza, etc would have been a chore. This recipe is for the simplest form of egusi soup. It's really simple, but the taste is 'something like a phenomenon'. LOL I'm trying your method of balling the egusi next time though, thank you for that. |
@Stellasmeza, here's the egusi soup recipe. Will put up step-by-step pics on www.frostedbakeshopng..com later. 1kg of beef, cut into 2-inch chunks 1 cup of egusi 200g of okporoko (dried cod), washed soaked in hot water 4 tablespoons of blended atarodo (habanero). You can use less, if you like 2 knorr double stock cubes 2 teaspoons of salt 1/3 cup of ground dried crayfish 2 cups of chopped pumpkin leaves 1/3 cup of palm kernel oil 5 cups of water Method Put meat in a pot, add salt, knorr cubes, blended pepper and water. Set on medium-high heat and cook for 20 minutes. Remove okporoko (cod) from hot water and add to the pot. Add crayfish too. Stir and cook for 5 minutes. Add palm oil. Cover pot and cook for 3 minutes. Add egusi, stir. Leave to cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring at intervals (egusi might burn if not). Add chopped leaves, stir and remove from heat immediately. Enjoy!

@Udoka, my fingers are sooooo crossed too o! @Pink22, thanks for the prayer list, may God crown all your efforts with success |
@Stellasmeza, will put up step by step pictures and the egusi recipe later today. Will send you the link when I do. @Ogugua88, kai, that Oha pic...y don't we have a drooling emoticon on Nairaland? |
@Udoka, i have o. Both tubes are patent. Infact, i did the hsg less than a month ago. Thank u for asking. May God continue to bless you. |
@Mummyf, true, the day I found out, I wanted to run mad. For what now? I really don't know why o. Hmmm, Jam v Mayonnaise, I'm guessing it's mayonnaise- as per egg yolk, olive oil and a little sugar. I don't know sha ooo. @Joysolo, as Mummyf said, the location is important. I had 2 fibroids, the bigger one was about 6cm, and the doctors felt it was large. I removed it, and the very next month, I got pg for the first time, even though it ended in m/c. I removed them because they were located in my uterus. Also, I go for scans, and there has been no regrowth. I took the operation as a reset. I started eating right, reduced carb, starch and sugar intake drastically. I also do regular herbal cleanses, and I know that there never will be any regrowth. Just find out the location. Good luck |
@Alwaystrue, AMEN!!! Yes o! Enough food for them. But u go start with ur dh na as ur first baby. LOL |
