This is absurd to say the least, if the story is true. Is the assembly an arm of the executive?

brojero: Just wondering.. 80k at 2006 prices vs 150k at 2013 prices. Are you really better off, given the rate of inflation?
The value was affected by the financial crises.
I feel disappointed today...so disappointed that tears rolled down my eyes!

Buhari established that line of politics by avoiding south east and south south zones during his presidential campaigns with the exception of Port Harcourt. He also went further to ask that muslim vote muslim while other adherents should do same for their respective brethren. He also enjoys keeping quiet or as some people would say he sympathizes with religious murdering fanatics.
Where did you get the quoted information from? Please stop fanning the embers of discord with your mis information. Where were you when some states banned some political parties from campaigning? Where and when did he say muslims should vote for muslims? if he said that I bet you would have seen the clips all over the internet. Stick to the issue and stop peddling rumour. Thank you.

If the committe were there to get peoples views about the proposed conference, why are they averse to opposing views? Is adams Oshiomole not entiled to his views? The conference has not even started and others are not allowed to hold opposing views, that to me points to one thing - FAILURE!!!

omiobo: Walahi many things are wrong with this nation. In my unorganised coy where I work, the damagers are withdrawing a certain percentage from our salary for pension but they refused to pay it into our RSA. The last time I had alert last was last year. It is a private org. We have done all we could but no damn result. Infact I will like to stop this nonsense called PFA.
Guy, your employer is stealing from you and you are taking it easy. Do you know it is a crime for your employer not to remit your savings? Please meet your HR team and discuss the issue with them before reality dawns on you in your old age.
My personal opinion: I think IBTC pensions is the best of the lot. Stopped contributing about 7 years ago and my about 80k contributions (Worked in a private firm for 6 months) is now worth about 150k

This is morally wrong. At a time when more than 50% of Nigerians live below the poverty line, spending N255m to buy luxury cars to ferry foreigners is immoral. Are their lives more important than that of ordinary Nigerians?
2. Notice that she did not say the supply of the cars were competitively bidded for. Could that be deliberate? Otherwise she would have stated the date and the newspapers that the "invitation for expression of interest" for the supply of the cars were advertised. Does that explain why only coscharis submitted a bid for the cars? Could it be that they contacted coscharis directly and asked the company to submit a quotation? Questions and more questions. Sadly we may never get some answers.

Sincere 9gerian: We know Tinubu dogs will not accept the above FACTS put forward by NCAA DG. But whether they accept them or not, these FACTS are now on the table.

FACT 1: The vehicles were budgeted for.
FACT 2: Due process was followed.

If Tinubu dogs want to sustain this debate any further than this, they should PROVE that the above 2 FACTS were not the case. Otherwise, it is CASE CLOSED.
Please be sincere to yourself and whatever you believe in, is this purchase necessary? if it is, is it justifiable given the cost and is it morally right? please answer these questions.

Stegomiah: Mr local government chairman, please answer the questions below;
1. Whose money are you using to do those things aforementioned?
Definately not your own hard earned money cos you are a politician and we all know politicians are theives

2.You are wise enough to state what u've done for your community which i do commend only if it were true, kindly state the local government where you are serving and if possible your name, so we can confirm.

3.Stats don't lie, over 80% of Nigerian youths wants to leave this country cos of your failure, you said you are fixing lights, do residents enjoy 24hrs light in your area? How good is the road? water supply? Education? Job opportunities?... In your community and Nigeria at large?

If you follow this thread you'll know better that no one is trying to preach another man's land, no one will desire to leave nigeria if it is well developed enough, naija is a failed country. Since i was born, even before i was born we've not been able to acheive the primary things like good roads, electricity, quality education, good leadership...
Its still this same thing our politicians preaches when campaigning, same they will preach come 2015, a country with no realistic hope for the younger generations, many corpers released into the labour market with no realistic employment, cos we have a failed leadership, and you are part of them if your claims are true, and you have the guts to brag of your various sojourn to europe here. Next time before you type think with your brain, but what will you expect from someone whose IQ is the same as his shoe size?
Now go back and read his post again and apologize to him. He never stated that he is a politician. He meant he provides the basic amenities for himself.
@Justwise . . same goes for you too.

naijaking1: Where are you coming fromhuh
What do you gain from manufacturing, publicizing and spreading rumors/innuendos, and falsehood when you have nothing against the minister. Her ministry bought BMWs ? So whathuh

When your FFK boasted of filling all the ministry positions with 70% of people from your side of the country I did not hear a word from your ilk.
Yes, it says donated, but company would donate luxury cars to Nigerian airlines, and meanwhile what would a minister do? This is a simple reminder that there might have been very genuine need for the armored cars, your myopic out cries not withstanding.
Now when you discover that she bought the cars for her personal use, let me know, I will join in condemning her, until then go take some anti-psychotic medications like FFK.
Your morality is questionable. By the way what do you mean by the phrases in bold? All I am saying is look beyond your nose.
Politics › Re: Minister Forced Aviation Agency To Spend $1.6 M On Two BMW Armoured Cars(Pics) by dustydee: 7:19pm On Oct 15, 2013
naijaking1: Thank for being clearly objective.
Saharareporters, FFK, and company should quickly show that the purchase was outside normal ministerial oversight and procedures, not publish receipts and deceive us into thinking that the minister bought these vehicles for personal use.

Next, they will show us receipts way she take buy underwear, handbag, and a phantom house in Switzerland!

Blind sighted tribalists who are here ochesterating FFK personal agenda against Oduah have never heard about high value flight customers. Yes, such as customers who may not want to visit any Nigerian airport, because of fear of being shot. Providing armor protected transportation simply helps. It's simply logical, and maybe one reason for purchasing bullet proof vehicle.
Checkout Delta airline with porsches for high value customers who want to dash into the plane.

Instead of driving a baggage tug, Adnan Tikvesa gets to race a Porsche around airplanes, fuel trucks and luggage carts on taxiways and gate areas at Atlanta's giant airport.

Mr. Tikvesa grabs top-level Delta Air Lines frequent fliers from lines of deplaning passengers, runs them down jet-bridge stairs, loads them into a $66,000 Porsche Cayenne S and drives them across the tarmac to their connecting flights. Changing terminals in a 400-horsepower luxury SUV takes but a couple of minutes, and customers bound up the stairs used by pilots and ground workers and slip into seats without riding trains, fighting crowds or waiting in crowded boarding lines.

Delta is using Porsches (donated by Porsche) to surprise top-level frequent fliers making tight connections in Atlanta. Scott McCartney has details on The News Hub. Photo: Raymond McCrea Jones for The Wall Street Journal.

Sterling Towers: Why I arrived at 100'k as the 50% of 250k is because I had factored in professional fees ordinarily you would file with like 30k and stamp duty in that range also for 1m share capital. You can't save more than that if a professional is registering it for you forget the 125k. Now CAC is looking at a larger pix here, if 1000 people save that much such fund can be channeled else where pro tem to yield fund to further grow your business and not that it will enable you to sustain your staff. Nah!
In conclusion, the assertion that I can use the savings to expand my business and hire more staff is erroneus. Thanks for the explanation.
