A report has that the Lions retreated it had just finished eaten when the prophet came in.but when he kept moving towards it the animal pounced on him. Another thing about lion is if you meet suddenly and you become immobile without winking or shaking and you focus your eye on the animal after some time it will think you are a non living thing and move away from you.

smart1204: Hi everyone, I'm a 20 year old male student in college of medicine UNN, enugu campus. This is my problem.
I get aroused by close body contact with ladies. example:
Sitting beside a lady around my age or so makes me get an erection. Even though I have MOSTLY but not totally conquered this by fighting it in my mind.
The remaining ones I've sincerely tried and not being able to overcome are:
1. when I give a female friend front hug without any ulterior motive in mind, I start to get an erection (This has happened severally and made me stop hugging ladies).
2. when standing in a crowded place like 2 submit a script or enter a class. If ladies buttocks are pressed against groin and/or their breasts on my body, I start to get an embarrassing erection even though I actually hate it and have nothing in mind. This happens to the point I have to place my hand to cover it or prevent it.
Pls, I'm a technical virgin and have made up my mind to remain celibate till marriage. I try my best not to lust after women or sexual objectify them. I PLEASE HELP ME DEAR FRIENDS.
It is possible to experience uncontrolled urges sexually at 20 but as you are growing older they will be moderate .There is nothing wrong with you.
. There is a police station very close to the Bank .Yet they did not come out .Soon they will say the situation is under control.WEMA is the only functioning bank in Okuku which students use always. What a pity?
Maxymilliano: In other words, he will only serve a jail term of 2 years but won't change the fact that he's convicted and will remain an ex-convict till a superior court says otherwise or get pardoned.
The question is "will he still be allowed back into the hallowed chamber as an ex-convict after serving his terms
. Pleateau State will give him a state pardon ! First he has to belong to the ruling party in his state...Politicians know how they play the game to get their daily bread
Chuxx84: Good evening nairalanders. Please I need advice/opinions on this issue at hand.
I have been taking care of my mother since before I got married, I have other brothers older and younger but they are not financially buoyant. (So they claimed) I did not mind this but kept on caring for her ( house rent, feeding, other bills).
Although it's a burden to me, but she is my mother. Now my wife suggest that any money I want to give to her should pass through her (I will send to my wife then she sends to my mother) or she does the sending and I later pay her back.
Her claim is my mother is fetish with my money. I'm confused can this be true? Sometimes my mother will make simple money request my wife would say I should ignore her. She says she is taking me for a fool. I am beginning to get tired of this whole thing. Please help with advice or opinions.
Thanks.
. Give me evidences that the woman is evils then I can advise you. For now she is still Innocent and deserves your care always
Rugaria: They are always positioning the sultan first... Trying hard to make it look like he is the premier traditional stool in Nigeria, which is nothing but a fat lie. Both the Oni and the Obi as traditional institutions have been there before the Hausas surrendered to these folks from Futaa jallon few years ago.. Trying to make it look like the overdressed sultan is the highest "traditional deity" in Nigeria is not just preposterous, it amounts to a great disservice to history..
. After the meeting Ooni will Spaak on their behalf.
. I said on this platform that all of them will be released traditionally. That is how ethnic issues are handled in Nigeria regardless where it occurs. It is ways a sensitive matter.
Oyindamolah: Who is easier to work with; a male boss or a female boss?
. With due respect to the women's world. I think a male boss is easier to work with . At times you walk into a male boss office and sort things out but a female boss may insist on beaucratic procedures on them. At times they discuss what to do on some matters with their husbands at home. This is the nature of a woman. They are however appreciated in our lives always
garfield1: Home Other News Bayelsa West election: Supreme Court dismisses Sen. Dickson’s appeal Bayelsa West election: Supreme Court dismisses Sen. Dickson’s appeal Other News BAYELSA WEST ELECTION: SUPREME COURT DISMISSES SEN. DICKSON’S APPEAL written by Our Reporter March 9, 2021
The Supreme Court on Tuesday struck out two appeals filed by Sen. Seriake Dickson and the PDP against a suit seeking his disqualification from contesting the concluded Bayelsa West senatorial election.
Dickson is appealing the Court of Appeal ruling which set aside a ruling by the Yenagoa Federal High Court that dismissed a suit seeking to disqualify him from running for the senatorial election.
Justice Mary Odili, who led five-member panel of justices, held that the appeals lacked merit and struck out both appeals after Dickson and PDP lawyers agreed to formally withdraw the appeals.
The apex court agreed with the lawyer to the first respondent (Owoupele Eneoriekumoh), Pius Pius that, having earlier filed a notice of withdrawal, he could no longer take further steps except to withdraw the appeal.
“Once a party files a notice of withdrawal, the only further step such an appellant could take is to formally withdraw the appeal, not to abandon the withdrawal notice and seek to be heard on the same notice of appeal.
Dickson had earlier applied to withdraw the appeal, but later changed his mind and filed a motion, seeking to have the appeal heard.
Also while striking out the appeal by the PDP, the apex court noted that the appellant filed a notice of appeal without specifying the judgment of the Court of Appeal that was being appealed against.
However, the respondents objected the motion, arguing that, having applied to withdraw for whatever reason, he could no longer change his mind.
The Court of Appeal, Port Harcourt Division, had on Jan. 7, 2021 ruled that the disqualification suit against Dickson was not statute barred and should be given accelerated hearing by the Federal High Court.
The three-member panel disagreed with the Federal High Court’s decision to dismiss the matter, saying the judgment of the lower court was wrong.
The panel presided over by Justice U. Onyemenam, explained the appeal was based on whether by the provisions of Section of the Electoral Act and Section 285 of the 1999 Constitution as amended, the originating process of the applicant was statute barred.
He, however, said the suit was filed within 14 days beginning from the publication of the particulars of the candidate by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’’.
Justice Jane Inyang of the Federal High Court Yenagoa had thrown out the suit filed by Owoupele for lack of jurisdiction declaring that the suit was stature barred for being filed after the constitutionally stipulated time to do so.
xodyq: Good morning guys. Is it right for my landlord to give me 6months quit notice (on 8th march) when my rent will be due in 6months time (31st August)??
. The six months start on the day you are served the notice. If your six months is still in your tenancy agreement it means as you enjoy your money be preparing to pack out after the six month notice.
Why will such a suspected hardened foreign criminal be seating so relaxed in Police Station Ibadan after discharge from hospital without handcuffs and leg shackles as usual with such criminals when arrested in Nigeria ? Why are our OPC members that arrested him are in custody
. Regrettably he will not be prosecuted. vIf he is it is for formality.
Pristane: It appears MONEY is the only reason for this write-up which is very misleading. I left a Private University that's pays 25% above federal to a State. Let me tell you in clear term that there is no difference between State and Federal University salary. We use the same salary scale.
How can you be a serious lecturer, academician and researchers be comparing State University with Federal Polytechnic. That it is a Federal polytechnic do not give it any ground of comparison. Not all people will work I State University and not all we work in Federal polytechnic.
Qualifications, vision, and capacity will seriously determine your choice. What money are you talking about in Federal Polytechnic. Is it salary you are calling money.? Sorry.
Many State University lecturer are enjoying more than the Federal. Some of the Governor's behavior is not a reason to start think state University is less. Depending on your field there are opportunities of travelling, collaboration, grant that you can ever enjoy in the polytechnic. Couple with the fact that only few lecturers in polytechnic are motivated to do research and improve themselves academically and this keeps them behind. If you leave Polytechnic today as a Chief Lecturer, the highest position you will get in the university where politics or bribery is not involve is Senior Lecturer and that is even if you have PhD otherwise you will be place in Lecturer I.
Someone says that there's nothing in being a Professor. That is a very poor knowledge of academic career. Prof is the peak of your carrier. As a serious researchers, you won't need any political appointment to have money because you already have more than what you can cope with in collaborations that brings real money.
The reasons why many Professor in Nigeria run after political office is because majority of them were accidental and political academician. It is so because our laboratories have nothing to write about because monies allocated for equipment were never used but shared and spent. I can seriously tell you that some of the government effort of equipping University were squandered and rendered those lab empty or with equipment that never works.
So, I don't see ground for comparing State University with Polytechnic at all.
. Universities and polytechnics are not the same in terms of funding and research and they can never be the same. Their goals are not even the same . Even Tetfund grants given to both of them are not the same. However as indicated in your post corruption has eaten deep into our educational system and it is affecting guality of teaching research and funding in universities. and polytechnics. While both polytechnic and university lecturers have access to tetfund and other grants.more money is given to the universities for researches. The grants in universities are even politicised in allocation while many laboratories are just like secondary labs. This a serious concern in Nigeria. Thus when educational sector is corrupt the best is for lecturers in Polys and universities to make do with their salaries...The way they run many state universities is disturbing with diversion of fund in all areas. So in our Nigeria of today your take home is primary while other benefits are additional which only a few are benefitting. So it good to decide well when taking a job in Nigeria.l
Mario1989: Please help out with reasonable contributions.
If given two different offer to lecture in a State University and a Federal Polytechnic, which one should one go for?
. Your choice and interest will determine what you will take. However let me say this as a guide too.1 Federal institutions are better than state institutions 2 Federal institutions pay better than state schools 3. Salary packages of the federal polys are almost the same with federal universities or one is slightly more than the other. That is why many lecturers don't want to leave polytechnics even if they are PhD holders. 4 Federal polys salary is more than that of a state university. 5 If you are a professor in a federal university your salary is a little different from that of a Chief Lecturer in a polytechnic owned by the federal government. 6 The enjoyment in federal polytechnics is more than even in a federal university in some areas.7 Do not be deceived by the title Professor there is nothing in it .What have many professors in Nigeria achieved apart from travelling out with TETFUND grants which federal polys have access to too? 8 In polytechnics you can go for your PhD and get more opportunities in many places including academics. 9 Nigeria today is about money not title 10 Think about comfort and satisfaction in your life which goes beyond academic titles any where. 11 Finally if you don't want any regret in your life run away from any state institution even university. From a federal polytechnic you can still go to a federal university if it is your dream to be a professor. 12 May God bless any decision you take on this matter.

001spice: I get u beta now.so it should continue in that way abi. Clap 4 ur self
. Regrettably it will continue that way! How many Hausas have been sentenced because of Hausa and Yoruba clash in the north? How many Yorubas have been sentenced because of the ethnic clash in the south ? Nobody! That is the system in our country because ethnic clash is very sensitive. So when there are ethnic clashes one should protect one's life.
001spice: Who is going to pay for the bail? Who is still on the lossing side. Abeg think b4 u talk
. The Yorubas will bail them and vice versa.About five tears ago Hausas and Yorubas fought at Ile Ife , about six suspects were arrested and prosecuted for murder and arson.About ten Yoruba lawyers defended them including SANS.The six were released on bail in Osogbo and the case ended peacefully. That is the system in Nigeria especially on ethnic issues. When we talk we know what we are saying ..
. There is nothing to worry about on this matter.Nobody has ever been sentenced for ethnic clash in Nigeria because of any reprisal consequence .Expectedly some people will be arrested justly or unjustly but they will all be released after the tension has been doused .So they will still grant them bail and the case is over for life. That is how the case is usually handled in Nigeria. So when there is any ethnic clash in Nigeria protect your life by yourself.
jesusjnr2020: Why Did Jesus Ask Simon Peter, "Do You Love Me" Three Times?
John 21:15-17 (KJV)
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
I'm sure Peter would have wondered what was actually going on when Jesus who knew him very well and that he had forsaking everything to follow Him, would still be asking him, "lovest thou me?" And not just once but three good times, because if anyone should know that Peter loved Him it should be Jesus Himself.
But Jesus very well knew what He was talking about because His sheep meant everything to Him. That's why He would lay down His life for them as a good Shepherd would.
So Jesus already knew that Peter loved Him, but the question was not if Peter loved Him, but how much Peter loved Him. If Peter loved Him to the extent that he would take His sheep as He took them, and love and care for His sheep the way He did, because He had given His all for His sheep, and was going leave them in Peter's care, so it mattered a whole lot to Him that who He was going to leave His sheep with cared for His sheep as He would.
If Jesus could yet ask Peter who had proven his love for Him beyond any reasonable doubt, if He loved Him three times, I wonder how many times He would ask most of today's church leaders that same question. Because even the love Peter had for Jesus, most of them do not have, so how much more the love Jesus had for His sheep?
Moreover Jesus saying "feed my sheep" to Peter repeatedly on this occasion doesn't mean just giving them food or any kind of food, but the right kind of food, even that which the good Shepherd would feed them with if He were there with them - the kind of food that would lead to eternal life.
May God help us with leaders who would care for the sheep as Jesus did, and do everything they could to ensure that they're not lost to the enemy but preserved til the day the good Shepherd returns for His sheep. Amen!
. Do you love me more than these? This event took place after trial death resurrection and appearance of Jesus to many people including Peter himself after his resurrection The setting was beside river Gallilee.Jesus once gain came and saw Peter who was catching fish.He asked him three times Do you love me more than these? THESE refers to fish he had caught before Jesus arrival.Jesus asked him three times because he knew he had huge tasks for Peter after his ascension to heaven. Peter must be willing to make sacrifices and forgo the fishing business so as to concentrate on the work.Indeed Peter later became a strong member of the christian congregation in 33CE and later a Governing Council member in the first century CE .
. Some people on some countries use Bitcoin for their transaction yet it is not an official legal tender. As long as it is not an official legal tender it is subject to ban as it is in a Nigeria.
In this video, I discuss CBN’s (Central Bank of Nigeria’s) decision to ban cryptocurrency. In February of 2021, the CBN issued a letter stating that banks are prohibited from transactions with companies that deal In cryptocurrency. This has led to massive devastation and huge losses for businesses. This is my summary of the situation and my recommendations. What are your thoughts?
The First CBN Letter in 2017
The first circular on Cryptocurrency by the CBN was a letter in 2017 which they referred to cryptocurrency as Virtual Currencies. The concern of the CBN was that Crypto is untraceable, anonymous and hence can be used by criminals to launder money and finance terrorism.
The SEC Notes on CryptoCurrency
The SEC, which is the Security and Exchange Commission in Nigeria whose main duty is to regulate investments and securities in Nigeria called cryptocurrency an asset. A digital asset.
The “Ban” of Crypto Currency in 2021
All of that brings us to today, where the CBN issued a letter in February of 2021 that dealing in Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency for that matter by banks is prohibited or in other words, it’s been banned forbidden. More “details” also came out about how the FBI tipped the CBN that some Nigerians were using bitcoin to target stimulus packages from the US and the west in bitcoin, this was on the front page of ThisDay Newspaper.
The Numbers
According to a Quartz article, Nigeria, in the last 5 years, Nigeria has traded over 60,000 bitcoin or 566 million dollars which is second only to the US on Paxful.
Not just that though, there was a report by Stears that Nigeria traded as high as $200 million dollars in Bitcoin per month aka over 95 billion Naira way more than the Nigerian Stock Exchange did in the span of 3 months in the 2nd quarter of 2020. That is crazy! The BuyCoins CEO on Medium stated that in Nigeria they traded more than $141 million dollars in 2020 alone, that’s over 67 billion Naira, similarly, BitSika on Twitter posted that they also transacted over $39 million dollars of which Nigerians deposited $18 million dollars, that’s a total of almost $200 million dollars in a year and that’s just 2 companies.
Why did the CBN Ban Crypto?
The CBN is most likely worried about 2 things, one is Fraud. Nigeria is kind of infamous for the word 419, there’s the case of the “yahoo boys”. The other is the reason which would have made CBN ban Bitcoin is the strain on foreign exchange. The CBN has been making a lot of moves to help the Naira and stop more US dollars from leaving Nigeria. So last year, they banned the use of dollars for food and fertilizer imports, they reduced the spending limit on many many Naira cards, I think the limit is like $100 per month
The Result So far (How we are Affected)
Immediately after that announcement was made, cryptocurrency companies like Quidax, BuyCoins, Binance, Patricia and the likes have issued similar statements. They mostly mentioned that now you cannot fund your account with Naira anymore. What this simply means is that Nigerians cannot buy Bitcoin with their Naira, which cuts off cryptocurrency exchange platforms so you would only have to trade with someone you know who already has bitcoin one on one.
Solution: Way Forward
Speaking of solutions. Going back to the roots of trading bitcoin by P2P or Peer to Peer trading with individuals on platforms that power it. Right now on almost all these platforms, you are able to send and receive bitcoin into your wallet so you’re covered. One major platform that works is Paxful. Also, If you’re a freelancer who mainly receives foreign exchange, or you still want to keep trading bitcoin and/or just want to secure your finances, work on creating a Domiciliary account in Nigeria.
What are your thoughts about what’s going on? Would you say the CBN was right by doing this? Could they have done something better? Just let me know what your thoughts are in the comments.
. With due respect to everybody in Bitcoin business, I want to ask : Which country uses NBtcoin as a legal tender in the world? Which country accepts virtual currency as a. legal tender for business? Answers to the questions justify the ban placed on the Bitcoin business. It is indeed a shady method of transaction of businesses
garfield1: The legal battle over the Cross River North Senate seat has been put to rest by the Supreme Court which on Thursday ruled in favour of Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe.
In a split decision of four to three, the apex court dismissed the appeal filed by Senator Stephen Odey challenging the judgment of the Court of Appeal, which declared Jarigbe as the valid candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The majority judgment upheld the preliminary objections raised by Jarigbe challenging the mode of service of the notice of appeal.
The PDP won the December 5, 2020, rescheduled elections held in the state.
. Litigation must end somewhere. In Nigeria it ends at the Supreme court. With the 4. 3 judgement yesterday the wrangling over the validity of the person who was the PDP candidate in the senatorial election was confirmed .However the legal contest should have been avoided if the PDP had tidied its house before and after election. All party candidates must be together for a candidate to emerge among them.Congratulations to the winner as declared by the legal oracles yesterday.
Kiddo01: Good morning dear brothers and sisters in NL, I know this may be funny but I decided to bring it here. I'm 30 years old now. When I was growing up as a young boy, I discovered that other boys of my contemporaries, my peers had two scrutal sac (talking about the two ball hanging down from the male genital) but mine is just one. I dated a girl who once told me I impregnated her but I don't know if she lied to me.
I've carried out research in the internet but with different answers though I've not gone for medical check as to know if a man with one scrotun can impregnate a woman. Do anybody here have similar situation? Have anyone amongst us heard such complain?
Please doctors in the house, what is your take on a single scrutal sac? Have you come across this problem? How did you handle it? What is your advice? Can it produce a child?.
Advice please.
. Answer is YES. You have one by nature .As long as it functions well you are a man and can impregnate a lady. With your one sctotum you can produce semen .So you are father in the making. Do you know that some people by nature have only one fallopian tube and one kidney? Yet they function well.So relax you will be a father soon
