Dear OP, if she loves you and believe in you, the marriage is doable as no condition is permanent. Both of you should definitely be working on how to improve your lives as self development is key as an individual that seeks growth. I was on the same income level with my hubby when we started courting. I am the career oriented person, I was also seeking better opportunities. I got a job that pays twice my husband's income few weeks to our wedding so instead of me fighting him for an instant change, I hustled for myself as he has other areas of core competences beyond white collars jobs. Please focus on you and you'll meet someone that will grow with you and propel your growth. |
Osamedee:100k for a foreign degree holder, it's poor na. Even local degree sef no go gree like that except say na desperation. |
Yes some of us do. I didn't want to be in a relationship because my income wouldn't let me add meaningful value value if I was. My younger sister is in a private university and I'm responsible for her upkeep. I told my husband when he came in 2018 that until she graduates before I'll be in a relationship telling him my financial commitments. He insisted that he doesn't mind. We started our courtship in 2018 as we were both choristers on campus between 2010 to 2013 meaning we had known each other but as colleagues in the vine yard. I didn't want a wedding till this 2020 for me to finalize with her but he no gree. He said 2019 mustn't pass us by. I was also trying to change career then. I got a better job few weeks to our wedding in 2019 that has now made everything better not knowing Coro was in front to spoil plans. She hasn't graduated due to Coro, imagine if he had not insisted. |
joliefille:Thanks for the enlightenment and to those that advised earlier. I'll do as advised. |
Good evening fruitful Mamas here. I've treated PID twice (once this year) and was just diagnosed again of the same PID. I've been married for 10 months now and no show. I was supposed to see a gynaecologist but it's not covered in my health plan with my employer being that I'm not pregnant so I suspended that till I'm buoyant. Being that I know I have this issue for years now as it started as far back as boarding school, do I just respect myself and plan for IVF than to do series of test and taking drugs? I intend doing the necessary test on paper but deep down I'm contemplating IVF or surrogacy. I need advise. Please help. I don't mind being recommended to a good hospital around Ikeja axis. |
Good morning @upmanagers, I want to register my parents for the NHIS but I work in the organised private sector, am I eligible or I should ask my dad to do it for himself and my mum? |

I don't support disturbing the peace of others in the name of prayer. Honestly, it is common with low income earners whether Pastor or member. Can they try it in highbrow areas? Even Daniel didn't disturb. Jesus went to secluded places to pray. They can go to a church and keep vigil instead. I'm a Christian, I wake up 4 am each day prior to the lockdown to beat traffic and if my neighbour were these couple, I'll talk to them, and if they're adamant, third party will be involved. Even if it were to be secular music, I'll complain and if to no avail, I move to somewhere better. Those in support are either guilty or haven't experienced it 1st hand. |
Is the question for pastors only? Adoption even not expressly stated in the bible falls under the charity we are told to practice I.e KJV. Some adopted children have better lives than their biological counterparts e.g Zenon and Keke Ighodalo, Joke Silvia.... if a couple wants to give it a trial, why not. Must a Pastor tell us what their perception is which may not be proven by the word. We have full access to the father and need no priest anymore since christ. Careful study of the word will answer your question better. |
Dear OP, I'm not sure it's your gap tooth that's responsible but have you tried to evaluate your performance if you did well rating yourself objectively. I have a poor dentition, visited dentists in Lagos, Enugu... My teeth is too big for my mouth as diagnosed. They overlap themselves, my molars is at the back of my canine.... But I'm a banker, I work in the front office in operations..... please work on your delivery during interviews. It is well. |
BlackSpanner:They (Lagos) didn't test as they ran out of testing kit but it wasn't made public as my cousin that works in a hospital that was closed due to a confirmed case wasn't tested on Monday till yesterday. |
Dear OP, sorry about your predicament. Are you saying that only a biological child will give you fulfilment in your overall journey of life? Are you saying that you can never adopt out of benevolence? Is your wife's offense unforgivable? Are you saying your siblings are fulfilled with children and nothing more to give them fulfillment? Are you saying you've never lied that it imparted someone negatively? Are you saying the new woman will not lie to you for any reason? You haven't told us your effort in getting children beyond testing for your eligibility. All the best but if she's a good person, you can help her in different ways and yourself too as someone mentioned that you confirm the motility of your swimmers. All the best sir. |
Shugavee:Mind you, I never said I feed my man. You're the one assuming that from my post. You don't have to be rude to express yourself regardless that it's a faceless forum. |
Shugavee:If it irritates you that bad, you know what to do than telling me dear. |
Shugavee:I didn't write to motivate you Madam. You have the right to react to it and no need to tell me dear. Have a great day and stay safe. |
Dearest OP, your concerns are valid as a woman that has a standard and know what she wants. I courted my husband for a year and have been married for about 4 months, I never visited him till this Friday as we live apart due to work. When I got to his place, it can't be compared to his parents place I stay in Lagos but I told myself that that's my matrimonial home and not where I live. We discussed plans to grow especially the cost-benefit analysis of getting a better apartment when we have no children yet. But when love supersedes everything, you'll be optimistic about your growth together as it's a step at a time. Does he have a vision, dreams and you see his effort he takes in making them a reality? Never underestimate a man with dreams that gives you peace of mind and makes you a priority, with your emotional, moral and financial support he'll go places. The choice is yours to make dear. Happy Sunday and endeavour to stay safe. |
2Ballz:I prefer here sir and will answer all questions asked swiftly. |
Good evening doc, I've been married for 3 months plus but sex has been painful since I got married. After the 1st round, I feel severe pains around my genitals but I have no infection. We use lubricant to no avail. I've spoken to different medical experts and they I'm fine but it's my mind or libido. What do you think could be the problem? |
