Stop attacking the person, stick to his point. The phone he is using is not the bone of contention. Apple has all these you mentioned but the point is that thier recent release doesn't offer anything extra and yet their prices keep going higher.

Instead of seeing this as an Apple vs Other Brands contest, see it as an Old Apple vs New Apple contest.

IBM is still the largest IT firm in the world in terms of spread and employee base and the 6th largest tech firm in the world in terms of market value. It's a bit unfair to lump them up with these other firms.

Your content is awesome but your title is misleading. The post is nothing about Nigeria vs South Africa. It is an internal issue. I guess that's what your first paragraph goes to clarify but then, not everyone would even open such a seemingly fruitless thread. Such title would only attract xenophobes.

Back to the issue at hand, I agree with you. I've come to learn that most people here who support outsiders to trash talk Nigeria have never left the country. They have no idea what life is like on the other side and therefore are misled to believe that it's greener everywhere else. Fact is, every country has its problems. Nigeria is heavily populated so everything is somewhat accentuated. The number of rich people will be high, the number of poor people will be high, the number well known names in the academia will be high, the number of criminals will be high, the number of musicians will be high, etc. This isn't an excuse cause there's really no excuse for crime. However, when you travel across Africa, you'll be glad you're Nigerian. While our government has become synonymous with corruption, we still have some level of stability and outlined power transition policies. Majority of other African countries still have power drunk dictators who have refused to leave the seat; some have handed over to thier sons. You think that is not a form of corruption? Talking about country-wide poverty, have you been to Central Africa? Like my friends here would say, Central Africa is the Africa the white man sees on tv. Even here in the Western world, we have serious racism to deal with. But people from these other countries remain patriotic to their country while fighting their leaders.

I think we can also put up a patriotic front while we fight out leaders internally for better leadership. Our actions should be geared towards positive outcome and I do not think any country has ever made serious progress in the past by joining outsiders to trash talk their country. In fact, you'd only be stigmatizing yourself and your country people. Funny how we turn around to complain about how we're perceived or treated out here.

Lol... You see, singing is an art, the artist is the god. While the audience is allowed to have preferences, you don't usually tell the god how to create. I don't quite agree that songs are meant to be just poetic or addressing social issues. That will be clipping the wings of art (creativity, diversity and ingenuity) but I totally understand the fact our musicians are overly and annoyingly into the girl, boobs and as.s matter; but thrb again, they do so based on popular demand. They know their market, they know their audience. Talk about girls and as.s and mix it with great beats, and Nigerians will be there for you. So business wise, they keep supplying that which sells. It has come to be a type of music prevalent around here and in many parts of the world (especially South America, theirs is far worse). But it's paying them and so far, there's been no reason to stop.

Knowing that people will always not have the same taste, I don't bother calling out musicians whose style of music I don't like. Instead, I just listen to those I like and let others keep enjoying their beats.

I could feel the emotion behind this writeup. You're lucky to have such a great a dad and he's lucky to have an appreciative child. Regardless of their shortcomings, it's mindblowing how far parents can go for thier children. My father still managed to charge against a young able bodied cab driver who threatened me at the airport. Lol, it was so funny and touching as well. Sometimes I feel like taking the next flight to Africa just to hug my aging parents and come back.

For those whose parents are still alive, this is a call to show them all the love, care and affection you can afford. They won't be there forever.

I never brought anyone down. I am fair and so are my siblings. I said being fair is not necessarily beauty. I didn't say being fair is not beauty. The word "necessarily" simply implies that being fair or not is not a judgement for being beautiful cause people can be beautiful regardless of complexion.

Replace the word "necessarily" with its contextual synonym "automatically" and you'll have a better understanding of that sentence.
