parki:How old are you ? |
You don't have a man yet, what you have is a boy... a little boy! That's if the reasons are genuine; Otherwise, you have a completely different problem to deal with. |
Sometimes it gets annoying when people think the next thing you MUST do is "get married"; Like a sequence. I think, until you feel deeeeeep within you, with a strong conviction that marriage is the best next thing, then don't! Must everyone get married ![]() I was at the office today, and a colleague's husband called her an "oponu", just because she cldnt find a set of keys early enough. I was like, is this what marriage is all about If he could call her an "oponu" in public, God knows what he calls her in private.Again, marriage is not for everybody. The benefits of marriage can be achieved without a wedding. People should stop making a big deal out of it! |
This man has apparently refused to stop living in bondage. Cool! |
Some of the responses I've seen here are either childish or not helping @ all. The poster was clear enough to explain his predicament for you to help, not cause more issues. Someone even suggested passing the wife to him to marry... To prove what, perfection? No one is, cause you'll always get ur own fair share of challenges. Abeggi! Back to OP. Like some pple opined, trust is important in marriage. Infact, more important than love itself for some pple, like me. That being said, its clear that some people respect honesty and ability to build trust than others, including me. It once happened to me, but for breach of trust, I couldn't continue with the relationship, cos I knew the unfortunate incident will keep causing issues in the future, like ur case. I forgive, but don't forget easily. My take: You shouldn't have married her. But now that you have, both of you should go for very sincere counselling, with the hope to get better. |
In addition to what every other person has said, I'm quite lost as to why ur husband hasn't noticed the continuous attention u're receiving frm the man. If he hasn't, then he has some work to do on observing, paying attention and deciphering. |
adewasco2k:Exactly! Adewasco. You took the words from my "fingers". $700!!! |
Read this carefully, I don't comment on NL unless I have something reasonable to contribute. Now, from experience, since you're the male, its better for you to marry the woman that loves you sincerely, and not the one you love, but doesn't give a damn! Don't worry, time has its way of sorting things out for which ever decision you make. |
FUNAAB is one of the most underrated universities in Nigeria. Save for some university living on past glory. |

What a coincidence! I actually just watched Alakada last week and its still very fresh in my memory. Alakada's storyline is good. The point they were trying to drive home was clear, but... The actresses?? For me, didn't do justice, especially the lead, Toyin and ofcourse the real ajebutter girl. Toyin was funny, no doubt, but no continuity @ all, sometimes she acts like she's clearly faking, like Jenifa, other times, she acts like a real ajebutter. The ajebutter girl, sometimes, you think she's being sarcastic, when she's not. Overall, the actresses brought out an unreal situation. Technically, the film is below par. Jenifa 1 (not the sequels) is awesome, technically n otherwise. So technically and delivery, I go for Jenifa. Story-wise n comic, I go for Alakada. |
Clearly, this isnt in the joke section, so, it isn't expected to be funny. |
CONVERSATION BETWEEN I AND THE POLICE POLICE: Hello, Mr Man, Why are you driving against the traffic? ME: (Looks around and notice my error) Errm... Against what traffic?? There's no sign to show i'm on a one-way. POLICE: (Shows me the obvious sign) Well, as it is, you are under-arrest, and we are taking you to the station. ME: (Knowing that my game was up and the possible outcome of arrest was a big bribe, i began to act) Actually, i'm very confused right now, i just received a call about the demise of my Dad (true, but happened a month ago), that's why i didn't notice the sign. If i was your brother, would you still arrest me, after hearing about the death of our father ![]() POLICE: (Now looking confused).. Errm... You know, when we arrested you, we were three, now we are two. You see, the person that left is our boss and there's no way we can release you on our own. But anyhow, find us something to deliver ME: As you are looking at me ehn! shinshin i don't have, except you'll buy me pure water. POLICE: (Picks up the phone and calls superior) Errm... Sir, that guy just lost his father o. ASSUMED RESPONSE FROM SUPERIOR: Ehn! Collect anything from him na POLICE: Is it somebody that just his father we should be asking for that kain thing? ASSUMED RESPONSE FROM SUPERIOR: Anyhow. free him, but shine your eyes wella next time. Na bad market be dis one. POLICE: Okay you can go. ME: Issorait (Zooms off) I'm not sure of how much i would have paid, but i'm certain i wouldn't have been comfortable paying it. Somebody shout halleluyah!!!! |
Truth is, that degree can never get you that kinda money. People with such are usually entrepreneurs or living off family wealth. But then again, your certificate can earn you a kind of recognition, respect, and integrity you can never get with $5milla. @topic, considering all the variables now and in the future, i would gladly pick the popular option. |
Been driving a Mazda Xedos '98 model for about 5yrs now. Smooth ride, although mechanics complain of its tight engine area. |

Ideal scenario: Never snatch anybody's partner, if he/she is in a serious relationship. There are too many ladies or guys out there for you to now start snatching partners. Whats wrong has no other name. Life always has its way of balancing evil/good, which is KARMA. For some, you tactically incite hatred into the relationship, such that it now deteriorates to an extent where you now come in as the "saviour". One question, what if you were in the guy's shoes because u ain't perfect yourself, neither is any relationship. Please allow the relationship run its course independently and when they are done (and if they are), you can now come in.If your partner has ever been snatched, let it go, it was never meant to be. If u've been snatching, there's a likelyhood, s/he'll be snatched (or something similar) from you too, married or not. |
From experience: The deflowered before marriage tends to know all d strategies, diplomacies, cunny and mischievous ways of satisfying their husbands and trust me, u need all these skills in marriage (especially when dealing with in-laws) to survive. The husbands usually know their schemes, but its usually presented in a way he just can't refuse. They are strategists, unlike the virgins (inexperienced). For me, I think they are better lovers to the non-conservatives, and i realise the longer a lady stays without sex, the tighter the vagina is likely to be (virginity theory). |
From experience: Being a virgin is an awesome achievement for most ladies, so dey ALWAYS expect that fairy tale, perfect marriage, which if the husband cld provide, good! Virgins have tight vaginas, but note, soon after repeated sex (even after marriage), it will eventually turn out like every other vagina (if not worse, cos of lack of knowledge on vagina maintenance). They usually xpect too much, as dey feel with their virginity, dey've practically bought ur soul. However, dis is not to discourage ladies from chasing chastity, but a reminder that virginity is just a plus, that could even be ignored by a spouse who doesn't know its "worth". |
SONKOko: Ok thanks but no thanks. If you guys think answers given here are wrong, kindly open an official account on Nairaland so you can give your informed answers. Nonsense!Sorry, I was actually referring to bonafide students of NOUN, not you. |
"I don't nid a fellow man, I need a vulnerable lady whom I can pet" The problem with the above is that she won't be able to handle/take care of issues in your absence, especially when children come into the picture. I view her as an overly dependent lady, which is a turn-off for me. My better half should be able to handle briefs in my absence. |
