n3xt: you know the city very well. I visit there regularly. The church there is about my pastor is bigger than yours and more miracles happens in my church more ![]() My church is where the miracle happens. A lady in one of the clients I consulted for told me in one of our informal conversions that her pastor asked her to help him get not less than 15 working class young ladies in a reputable organisations to join the church. |
dongc:I appreciate. But I have eagle eyes when it comes to finished works. I have seen this thread before. 99% of doors in that picture are all Internet pictures except one or two, which are the usual Nigerian wood doors. The thread owner even confirmed it. It is for you to select the design of your choice and it would be made. Selecting the design is not the problem but artistically getting it up to the standard displayed in the sample pictures. It is not that our people are not good but they lack the necessary finishing tools, detailing required and the kind of materials used overseas. Nice attempt. I know Dubemcapital anyway, the owner of the thread. He is a well known builder on Nairaland. |
The zoo is a reflection of Nigerian society. Bad maintenance culture. We don't care a bit about things under our care. Same if you see PH zoo. You will feel sorry for the animals. |
See how everybody is attacking the Governor while their own various states are paying ex governors 300% of the salary of the current governor. |
EgunMogaji2: ![]() I trust you. The maker should come abeg. I am also interested. I be kobo kobo o |
generationz:Big shame and so disgusting. The same house designs with two useless pillars in front and they will be selling it for N150m. Don't they know what is called contemporary house designs? Go to Accra, Kigali and Abidjan and see fantastic homes. Our architects are simply not creative. Same design format. No attention to landscape and beauty. That's why no matter how a build or surroundings looks so beautiful in Nigeria, you will still see a Nigerian factor there. |
As a career adviser to the youth, I usually tell them to select courses that offers the opportunity of seeking for employment outside the shores of Nigeria. Make no mistake about this, the Nigerian labor market is saturated and overflowing. Graduate unemployment has been projected to reach record high in the next five years except drastic economic reform is taken by the government. I will rather encourage my niece or sister to read nursing than going to waste his/ her time reading any course. I will prefer to read social work or community development and have opportunity to work with international development agencies and abroad as conflict has been projected to increase in the years to come. Those in the development sector and humanitarian assistance will have that opportunity. if you check recently, most NGOs have been advertising and recruiting people because of the violence. Finally, study course that you have chances of making first class or 2.1, even if the course looks stupid. With that, you can sit for graduate aptitude tests of some multinationals, seek for overseas scholarship as it has been shown that scholarship exists for almost all categories of courses as long as you have high GP. |
n3xt:That picture looks so foreign. I doubt if the build itself and the door in question are Nigerian. Most locally hard wood security/entrance doors in Nigeria, that are well designed and made, usually does not exceed the design and make you posted one time. If you remember that entrance door you posted in front of brown brick wall. I stand to be corrected by the OP. That door is a usual European design. |
Nevertheless, his standard is far higher than what we see here. I give it to the architects from other African countries. Nigerian architects have a lot to learn in design and aesthetics. |
My sympathy to Nigerian youths. Unemployment should be tackled as a matter of national emergency. It is not about flyovers, roads and mundane things. It is about human capacity development and jobs. That's has been the hallmark of governance overseas. Governance is all about job! Job!! Job!!! |
Ok. May be in Nigeria. In December last year, a friend called me from Portland, US that he just finished his final interview with Google. It was a whatsapp video call and I could see him. He was wearing nice fitted blue Jean and zara top white shirt with sneakers join. I was shocked but he told me that Google HR told him to wear any thing he likes and he wore what I saw him with, likewise other interviewees. They all dressed down. |
This kind of person looks troublesome. Imagine commanding a lastma officer to halt traffic for him to pass. |
EgunMogaji2:Nice. Love the craftmanship |
EgunMogaji2:Oga, were these blocks laid by a Nigerian bricklayer? You sure knows how to get the best out of these crafts men assuming if this blocks were set by a Nigerian mason. Neat and beautiful. For those of us that likes cottage and antiques building, no need plastering the exterior. Just plaster the interior and mount your gigantic french windows. My former school in Scotland has lots of buildings with exposed blocks that were well laid without plastering like this one |
See his fine house. Not all these uninspiring designs Nigerian architects draws and put up Anyway, RIP |
I am not a Trump supporter but let us wait for the supreme Court. What happened in 2000 is still fresh in our memory. Al Gore had already won and was heading to 270 with 266 already before the conservative dominated supreme Court upturned it. I hope that the Trump appointed supreme Court Judges won't do the same |
All these 150k per annum endorsement ![]() |
Trump will surprisingly win this election. Supreme Court is on his side. |
WandaMaximoff: |
See how people tear race - run for your life my people. You have family at home |
Trump will still win this election. He is an expert in arm twisting established institution. He may force a recount that will likely favour him and if supreme Court is to determine the winner, the court would give it to him. |
OriOko88:Well analysed. This man will retain his seat. I have already placed a bet . Supreme Court will mess up the Democrats. Trump said it he could only accept the result of the election if the margin of victory is so high. But in this case,it is narrow, with irregularities.Biden shouldn't rejoice yet. There are a lot of legal loopholes that trump will capitalise on and win. |
God, please keep protecting and guide us. I nearly hit a school child yesterday. I was driving jejely and all of a sudden, this child just ran across the road in Lawanson, Lagos. Thank God my braking system was top notch. See the sound as I matched my brake. Mehn, I said God thank you. It would have been another story. My brother, it was so close. |
This is Nigeria, Africa. People don't read here. If it was to be abroad, people would be waiting for the book and even preordered. So, don't waste your time, I don't know the hungry publisher that will agree to publish your book. |
This country's infrastructure is the worst in Africa. Very decrepit and yet seen as normal by our leaders. Our government travels abroad and see roads and other infrastructure but will come here to continue in their stupidity. |
Trust me, government won't allow this ENDSARS anchors go scot free. They are currently being secretly tracked and would be charged for causing public disturbances. |
E don be. I have nothing to say now till I see my lawyers. |
Stupidity of religion - Honestly, religion has done great damage to the psyche of humanity, Africans and Nigerians especially. What has president Trump got to do with the Shithole called Onitsha> They must have been brain washed by one pastor or priest, believing that Trump is for Christians. How foolish they are. Ignorance is the worst affliction. Quote me anywhere. May be, one ignorant catholic priest, full of sentiments must have deceived these ones. |
No wonder my sister is doing great things recently. |
