I hate this. Why waste lives like this? They should have been handed over to the police or to the Oba. Those that kill or set armed robbers on fire are capable of murder under ideal circumstances. The women should have been given chance of defending themselves or exposing their other accomplices. That's how crimes are solved oversea but here, our savage attitude wont allow good reasons to prevail. We have wasted a lot of souls in this country - both innocent and guilty ones. |
BeLookingIDIOT:You are not far from the truth. I am a fervent Christian. A staunch catholic but sometimes, I reminiscence on the whole story of the bible, the Christendom and somehow, how the stories tended not to add up to my understanding. Millions of people around the world do not believe in any religion, especially in the developed world and some parts of Asia. They believed that once you die, that's the end. Just like the way animals die and nothing more. However, as a Christian, I am still holding unto the notion that there is life after death and believe in the resurrection, which is the backbone of Christian faith. As St. Paul said, If Christ had not risen from the dead, then our faith is in vain. Our believe in Christ is to rise with him after death. However, once in a while, I look at the whole story as if they were fake. |
My annoyance is that they hardly arrest those danfo drivers that constitutes these nuisance. They will focus more on private cars. I am not exonerating private car owners. Law enforcement agents are known to be sympathetic to commercial bus drivers but when the see private cars, they vent their whole anger on you as if you are the cause of their problem. |
Women sabi marry rubbish wey dem go de call husband. A whole medical doctor, marrying this ordinary reporter. I wonder how the man was able to woo her |
This government and Niger republic. I am sure most of them have mansions in Niamey going by the way they are constructing rails there, importing petroleum products and building school. |
Toks2008:Prudence and being a minimalist are my core values. No need of wastages. My ogas in the bank then used to by all those Zara suites at cut throat prices but me de go yaba meet Efosa wey they import used ones from Italy and my dry cleaner, Idris, will do justice to the material. ![]() |
Replicas for me, anytime, anyday or at worst, go and get original tokunbo. All my suites are first class Zara original tokunbo at less than 20k, while the new ones are going for more than 200k |
All these wanna be entrepreneurs and motivational speakers - some are actually scammers. Ask them what they do, they will tell you that they are entrepreneurs without any tangible source of livelihood. Living large, appearing in celebrities and choice magazines, conferred with one title or the other, wearing exotic suites, driving big cars, living in exotic flats, attending seminars and dishing out speeches. We know them. Behind closed doors, some are big time scammers and G-men. Go to Lekki phase 1, there are many of them there. One even asked my wife to bring her CV but when I followed up with the guy and found out he was just a predator, forming "highly-connected' person. My dear youths, in as much as things are hard, don't fall victim to the antics of these scammers. Use your head. |
demanuel:My brother, getting clients directly by marketing yourself or your company is very difficult. People love to work with people they know. My clients came mainly through referrals and speaking to people who referred me to companies. I am into audit, tax and international development. |
I am always pissed with what the citizens sees as development - We are too ignorant in this country. OP, I spit on your bald head ![]() |
He should have appointed someone from Edo state or Cross river. |
My client has concluded plan to exit 19 of his staff by December 31, 2020. He did the first retrenchment in August, laying off 22 of his staff. After the December exit, he would have only 15 staff left, with 6 converted to consultancy position. Things are really hard and all his staff had been on 30% of their salaries. Even some of us that runs our show ourselves are struggling to sustain current clients talk more of getting new ones. I have been thinking if going back to paid employment is an alternative as I left paid employment more than 6 years ago to establish myself but yet to surpass my former annual emolument as when I was in paid employment. The only advantage now is the freedom and ability to do things I want without hindrance. |
beamNIGERIA:But is it more expensive than using tiles? |
Very good points. I have been saying this for a long time. Those without means of living shouldn't have business with giving birth. They are causing more problems to the society by bringing kids they are not ready to train. The parents of those children should be arrested and charged for parental negligence. |
Thank God I left paid employment just for the sake of my sanity. Though I prefer to join staff bus because of the comfort and time to sleep to driving. However, the thought of waking up earlier to meet up with the bus that passed through my bustop was always dreadful. Now that I am on my own, I sleep and wake at my own convenient, attend functions at my time and do other things without giving a f*k Though the hustle never begin pay like my former salary, I live a far better fulfilling life and happier. |
Obinnau:There are many dishonest Nigerians overseas, who shipped stolen cars to their families to sell in Nigeria and repatriate the proceed to them or use for other things in Nigeria. Don't underestimate the level dishonest Nigerians could go and do illegal businesses abroad. They will always call it hustling. In the Nigerian parlance, de guy de abroad de hustle. |
My father's age mate. My dad was born on October 31 1946. However, Atiku is blessed with good health. Looking far better than my Dad. I pray for healing on you, Dad. Sickness is bad |
We are too backwards in this country. I fully agree that development is all about the quality of people and not just physical infrastructure. The quality of human beings inhabiting Nigeria is far below average. We behave like savages in this country. When I see how animals are being rescued overseas, I shudder in absolute disdain for my fellow country men. Honestly, poverty have had a devastating effect on Nigerians. |
see how they were looking at the burning corpse |
She must have been hypertensive. This type of people are always kept away from bad news. A moment of high blood pressure is enough to cause seizure, loss of memory and eventually, death RIP |
PresidentAtiku:Bro, E shock you also/ I gave my maid 500 to buy two tins of sardine make we use chop Indomie. She came back with one asking me for additional N200 for the second one . I weak. The last I bought was in October for N200. Inflation is going out of control in this country. |
RuudVanNisteroy:People did not know this account of history. This is the accurate account of what happened. He had kept so much of Nigeria's money in London. After his overthrow, he wanted to lay his hands on the money but the British government cornered most of the funds. That's why I always say that the West are accomplice in corruption in Africa. Most of the funds are not returned back to the originating country. |
To churn out unemployable youths!! They should collaborate with City and Guilds London or the German Technical Institute GmBH for vocational and technical education. |
Graduated in 2003 and already a professor??. Nigeria would want you to stay 30 years and grow bald or white hair before conferring with professorship. |
Badgers14:You got it! I trust Spyder. He would do justice to this. Be it contemporary or regular design, the guy is good. Since say na Anambra man get the building, money won't be a problem. ![]() |
Whitelookq:I would have supported you just that I have reservation about Amajo pinik. I don't trust that his mouth that is bend somehow. As a Nigerian, he would be monitored for corruption and chances of him falling for the trap is high. I don't need anybody to shame Nigeria. |
Apologize:Like Nigerian politicians. After stealing, they will wear and go to Mecca to stone devil imagine the hypocrisy. |
OfficialAwol:Is that why the two appointees are Catholics ? just asking |
Bro, well done. Excellent design but this is not your usual kind of building design ![]() Flat/ shade roof kind of roof without pillars is unusual design for you. This is a fantastic design. Looks so contemporary. I can't wait to see how that L-shape cantilevered shade over the balcony would look like. It is not in my original house design and I saw it somewhere and it looked beautiful. I am incorporating it on mine but not yet time. |
n3xt:We are still spectators - I will love to see the finished product when you are done. I would love to see how the work will look like. The picture there is superb. |
This country is finished. See the thinking and mentality of leaders of tomorrow ![]() You now see the importance of adequate data and record. This is the reason US government, under Donald Trump banned Nigerians from immigrant visa category. We don't have record of our citizens and the stages they passed through. See how people were shamelessly advising the OP to go to one school, obtain one and back date it. Corruption is taken as a way of life. ![]() We are all corrupt. We shout corruption and blame people for corruption when we are not a direct beneficiary. |
