PoliticsRe: Deletion Of Section 84(12): House Of Reps To Appeal Judgement by fubsy: 3:37pm On Mar 23, 2022
Nice move by the Reps. I think one man wants to tweak the law because of his selfish ambition. Meanwhile, the NJC should deal with the judge, and the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee should deal with the lawyer or lawyers that filed the action.
PoliticsRe: '10 Reasons Osinbajo Will Ignite A Religious Civil War' By Farooq Kperogi by fubsy: 11:24am On Mar 23, 2022
Farooq, I don't like abusing people. But I think you are getting on the nerves of reasonable people with your ill-contrived, petty and irresponsible analyses. You appear to be a paid mouthpiece of persons who are threatened by the profile of Prof. Osinbajo. Osinbajo has not even declared his intention to be president, you are threatened by his personality. So, when he declares what will you do?

Laugh and say, "I do it to keep fit and keep clean". Then you turn and face your work.
TV/MoviesRe: Multichoice Increases Prices Of GOtv, DStv Packages by fubsy: 2:34pm On Mar 22, 2022
Why not "PAY PER VIEW"? Just because of Aljazeera, CNN, Channels Tv, Arise Tv, Football and Tennis on Supersports, somebody is paying for DSTV through his nose. Why must I pay for channels I know exist but I don't even tune to?
CrimeRe: Lady Thief Caught, Beaten And Stripped In Benue (Photos) by fubsy: 12:42pm On Mar 21, 2022
Why is it that in Nigeria, poor thieves are made to strip while rich thieves are elected into government and given chieftaincy titles?
PoliticsRe: Electoral Act: Deletion Of Section 84 (12) ‘A Great Error’ - Falana by fubsy: 11:26pm On Mar 19, 2022
This is where this executive plays the god, and some judges allow themselves to be used. The court is supposed to know the law, and question any case with ulterior motive. Section 84(12) of the Electoral Act is here to stay. Malami and his cohorts should resign and contest (if the want to), or sit tight as appointees and watch events through their windows.
PoliticsRe: Taribo West Prays For Tinubu's Presidential Ambition (Video) by fubsy: 11:20pm On Mar 19, 2022
Our footballers we respect and cherish so much. Do they need to be selective in their support? So, if Atiku, Osinbajo, Moghalu, or Saraki invites them for the same purpose, will they attend? If they don't, what if one of the names I've mentioned becomes the president instead of Tinubu, how will they be viewed?
PoliticsRe: Electoral Act: FG May Go To Court Over Rejected Buhari’s Request - Malami by fubsy: 1:23pm On Mar 17, 2022
The Electoral Act 2022 does not prevent you from participating in any election. If you are interested, resign from your appointed position. How is that a deprivation of your fundamental right? Resign and contest or stay as an appointee (if you want to), and look from your window.
PoliticsRe: Ebonyi Assembly Declares Seats Of Three PDP Members' Seats Vacant by fubsy: 1:55pm On Mar 15, 2022
Persons who constitutionally and by the order of court are not supposed to be in the House are removing Honourable members that are constitutionally recognized. Time will tell.

When will Nigeria get it right?

Everyday news of insecurity, killings, unknown gun men, bandits, terrorists tormenting and frustrating the common man.
Nigeria will get it right when we elect people that mean well for the country rather than people that mean well for themselves and their cohorts. The power actually lies with us, but it depends on how we use it. It's a pity that we may perpetuate the wrongness by our votes come 2023. Once we get it wrong in 2023, then forget it. Nigeria's wrongness will be infinity.

ManirBK:
After this coming world war 3, Believe me Africa are going to rule the world. My Naija first to break even by the grace of God.
Hope the much talked-about 3rd World War does not materialise. If it does, and Africa has to rule the world, you need incorruptible, forthright, forward-thinking leaders. For Nigeria, if you vote for a person that cares less about you but for him/herself, and his/her family, as your president, then forget Nigeria's leadership, and possible survival.

I've got nothing good to say about this report. Permit me to say "it's a shame".

PoliticsRe: Buni, Malami, Emefiele To Confer With Buhari In UK by fubsy: 2:43pm On Mar 11, 2022
Instead of a governor of a state to be in his state and govern, he is busy globetrotting just to be vice president, Chairman of APC, or what!! He claimed to have gone for medicals (medical check up) overseas!! Shame, he does not have a hospital in his state that can check his vitals. As for Malami, Emefiele, and co, the Electoral Act 2022 does not violate the constitution. If you want to contest, resign in time, otherwise, forget it.
PoliticsRe: Inside Human Parts Market In Lagos. by fubsy: 8:43am On Mar 09, 2022
Disrespect for human blood. How can a man/woman take another human's life and be cool with him/herself all in the name of wealth, protection, visa, etc. Our relevant criminal laws are indeed sleeping giants.
PoliticsRe: Dolapo Osinbajo Attends Reps Plenary On Constitution Amendment by fubsy: 3:49pm On Mar 01, 2022
Why will the Representative say Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo should not be admitted into the chamber? The wife of the No. 2 man in Nigeria. A decent lady with kind heart. A lady that is loyal to the nation and poised to see that things work in Nigeria. Thumbs up for the Speaker who allowed decency to prevail.
PoliticsRe: Again, Buhari Asks National Assembly To Amend Electoral Act by fubsy: 3:41pm On Mar 01, 2022
In my opinion, the provision should be left as is. Any political appointee that intends to seek political elective positive should resign from the appointment and seek his elective ambition. It has been done in the past. I think Gov. Fayemi did it. So, why say the National Assembly should amend it?
I do not think that the provision negates the provision of the Constitution. My only concern will be the office of the Attorney General, which the Constitution recognizes. May be if the Attorney General is interested in an elective office, he/she should resign, and the President/Governor immediately replaces him/her so as not to have any vacuum.

PoliticsRe: Assent To Electoral Bill: No Need For Sabre Rattling - State House Press Release by fubsy: 4:25pm On Feb 21, 2022
This is shameful. It is anti-people, and anti-electoral reform. Must the president wait to exhaust 30 days in view of the exigency? Has the National Assembly not done what the president (one man out of over 200 million people) wanted (though generally distasteful to people)?
I think this delay is strategic, and it's not for the good of the majority.

todaynewsreview:
The more you look, the less you see. The intrigues are unimaginable.
True. It's looking like an abracadabra. I feel the not-yet-signed Electoral Act Amendment Bill may be because APC is not ready, so as to force INEC to adjust the election timetable. I think INEC should not shift its election. It should use its constitutional powers to conduct a credible election whether Buhari signs the Bill or not.
SportsRe: AFCON 2021: Ghana Vs Comoros (2 - 3) On 18th January 2022 by fubsy: 10:01pm On Jan 18, 2022
I think the referee was unfair to Comoros Island. Comoros scored a goal, and it was called offside, whereas the player that got the ball, got it from his own half. At least the VAR showed it. Then, shortly before the ref blew the final whistle, Comoros was well-placed to top their goal level with another one, but the ref again!

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Bathes Female Church Members In Basin During Crossover Service In Ghana by fubsy: 3:55pm On Jan 02, 2022
This is not Christianity. This is an ungodly ritual by persons parading under the guise of "pastors". These men need to be arrested and questioned for this inhuman treatment on gullible "church" members.

Car TalkRe: Man Sets Porsche On Fire While Driver Fills It Up At Petrol Station In China by fubsy: 4:52pm On Dec 22, 2021
The action of the workers at the fuel station justifies why you should have the right and adequate tools. See how these guys fought the fire to a standstill. But wait o! Man can be wicked o! How can someone just approach a car at a fuel station, and just ignite it?
PoliticsRe: Uncertainty Over Electoral Bill As 30-Day Period For Buhari’s Assent Ends by fubsy: 9:58am On Dec 20, 2021
Anti-people leadership. In my opinion, the president is preparing the ground for corrupt elections. The other concern is that the National Assembly will follow the same route.
PoliticsRe: Lawan: We'll Support Buhari To Fulfill Campaign Promises by fubsy: 9:55am On Dec 20, 2021
A rubber stamp cannot complain when its owner wants to use it, even when the owner is obviously of no positive value to the larger society.
PoliticsRe: 'Now We Realize Jonathan Was Nice, Buhari A Failure' - Protesting Northern Woman by fubsy: 9:50am On Dec 20, 2021
Buhari has failed the entire nation, not only the north. He promised security, to fight corruption, and improve the economy. But he did (he's doing) exactly the opposite of what he promised. He has plunged us into a potentially irreversible economic state, as Nigeria now smells of debt, and people are groaning (except his faithful political party member who are part of the corrupt bunch) of hunger. The state of insecurity now was unthinkable. So, generally, I pity all faithful Nigerians for what befell us from 2015 till date. What we'll do in 2023 will determine whether we are willing to get out of this mess.
PoliticsRe: Osinbajo, Atiku, Tinubu: Who Would You Prefer As President Among The 3 In 2023? by fubsy: 11:09am On Dec 15, 2021
My concern is that Yemi Osibanjo is a part of this failed Buhari government, and he's unable to break loose from the antics of the government. Secondly, Tinubu brought him. So, he may be dependent and possibly kowtow to Tinubu? I'm not sure. I WILL STUDY OSIBANJO
Tinubu brought Buhari's government which has come to put suffering on the table of the majority instead of putting food on people's tables. I don't trust that Tinubu will be better than Buhari. Does he have boys waiting around the corner to be the new herdsmen? I'm not sure.
On Atiku, he seems to have the experience among the three listed ones. I have the feeling that he would have been a better president than Buhari. But will I vote for him if I see these three names alone on the ballot? I'm not sure. Why, because I don't know if he has people waiting around the corner to be the new herdsmen. But surely, he'll be better than Buhari. Unlike Osibanjo, he was able to make impact as a Vice President. He will be people-centric.
If I don't see better candidates, for the first time, I will sit in my house and not vote except to void my vote, and vote for the national assembly members.

Music/RadioRe: When Last Did You Listen To Radio ? by fubsy: 5:07pm On Dec 06, 2021
Today,

Start listening to 99.3 Nigeria Info, and your life will never remain the same again. I was not a radio person but the day I mistakenly tuned my radio on independence day in 2010, I got hooked to it.
