@idokojimmy I think you are confused rather. We have two distinct groups that you mistake for one saying the same thing twice. You have the highly regional Gujungu (Arewa youth forum) and Yerima group that is more liberal and nationalistic. |
Personally i think the federal government should have done some analysis on where the extent of this people reach and declare the SOE from this areas, pushing North wards towards Borno, sokoto,Katsina,Kebbi,Adamawa etc. That is to flush them out and possibly use the border nations to help plug border crossings.SO that as they push deeper. The local law enforcers and community can be organized better to resist there come back and roundup the small pockets that remain. As it is i feel the case at hand is like tackling cancer. If care is not applied it could spill to areas not expected.Contain them and flush them out.Ensure that the measures also taken to flush them out apart from Military force,Guarantees they never come back easily. That's flush occupy and build the community understanding towards jointly resisting there influence. May Allah help the Nigerian Army!!!!! May Allah forgive us where we go wrong. Meanwhile if they truly want peace the president was fair to leave the amnesty door open.So either die fighting or accept Surrender period. As i don't understand people that can't listen to reason or pleas from people older or more leaned than they are over religious matters. |
BAMILASSA is like a BH propaganda entity trying decieve people or youths to be dragged in to a justified escalation by the FGN. People should ignore him and be mindfull of people that want a total escalation.i stand with FGN and beg all northerns to support this drive. The BH has destroyed the little we have and driven us the northners frim our homes.they have created insecurity, disrespect to her elders and people. All pleas from respectible people of the north has fallen on deaf ears with this murderers and destroyers of the north.we shloud close ranks restore the north back to its glorious days when you visit or go home when you want.where people smile and not whisper the demise of a relative for even fear of being killed. BAMILASSA you are a shame.what has BH offered us. We are helpless and being ruined by this group without doubt. Is this what maiduguri was before BH,? Borno should be liberated from this murderers.north most be rid of this people. We should not as youth let them succeed in escalating this war against BH.the BH has brought as nothing but death and destruction. |
@bamilassa. Am from the muslim from the north and borno in particular.i suggest you keep that wild deceptive thoughts to yourself.have this bh people ever regarded anyone in the north.people and elders in the north appealed to them, they turned it all down.who the hell are they that wouldnt listen to scholars and elders or the cries of people for peace, dialogue or amnesty.even the devil would have given atleast a listening ear. They have shame us and even went further to disrepect all. I pray Allah protect the innocent and expose all this enemies of the people. you should also know the army comprise all faiths. you shoul also know even the bh never spared the youths or population, did you look around and see the damage done to my beloved state,? Last i check they were in same boat murdering the population with bombs, kidnapping, throat slitting and shooting people in there homes. Also using extreme ways to force people into conversion.there ways are evil,un islamic and disrepectful of the north people. I support GEJ and the military as long as they act professionally and target this extremist and counter development entities. FGN should please be mindfull of the innocent victims.they should be there liberators and defenders.they should avoid taking out revenge on the innocent population.intead use intelligence and community driven strategy to focus on bh elements. This war maybe, late, but better its done now than wait until it gets worse. May Allah helps us all . May Allah give our leaders wisdom. May Allah forgive and have mercy. Down with Boko haram. |
^^^@ The bolded: you're right.....the thread topic is misleading. Can any northerners in the house try and proffer some explanations as to why poverty is more rife in the north; inspite of the wealthiest individuals coming from there and inspite of the fact that they've held the leadership of this country for much longer than the south? Also, while they're at it, could they also explain why a region/zone like the South East for instance (that ordinarily should be worse off than them) has better performance indicators......and people of the region/zone aren't bitter, angry, bombing everywhere, murdering innocents in cold blood and generally causing havoc for the rest of the country in the name of religion or politics?
^^^^ greedy selfish leaders. All i can say is useless leaders, not all but alot of them.Even the wealthy are hopelessly useless. If not Argo-industries and solid minerals prospecting companies would have hit a new dimension.Even ICT/education. |
I see Obama winning!!! I mean if all the conflict starts, somehow we get colonized again. Now that UK can't do it i see USA doing it with ECOWAS!!!! Same case as in Mali with France and ECOWAS.Better still we get a proxy leadership headed by a Ghanaian general under ECOWAS piloted by the west, particularly America and UK. |

rawtruth: "Ombatse", as is being speculated, was formed by the Eggon ethnic tribe of Nassarawa state to counter terrorist activities of fulani herdsmen who have turned the state into a jungle-killing ground. Fulani militia/mercenaries, in spite of their dare-devil attacks on farming communities across the region, have been doing their best to avoid confrontation with Ombatse. That's why Eggon farms, unlike those of the Tivs of Nassarawa and parts of Benue state, have remained free from the trampling hoofs of cattle herds.^^^^ hmmmmmm!!!! Alot of crap going down it that story.Fulani again? In the past i thought TIVs were the ones having field day in Doma attacking at will.Things have turn again?anyway people need to think away from always blaming a boogy man. What happened to hoodlums and criminals.Lets not create sentiments and excuses for murderers abeg. The government security officials are humans.I also think your view of the Islamic caliphate and her concern,is born out of the usual rumors xtians pedal amongst minorities to keep the tensions, likewise Muslims selling same as in blaming CAN or xtian leaders. We need to put all this excuses and let criminals be called criminals. What has this got to do with all that story you are pedaling. Were this hoodlums armed? yes!Is it legal? No,they must have done something beyond the usual self defense to warrant the police raid.I know certain groups hold arms in the country today but hardly would Government raid them if they keep to there domain or respect the government officials. Now the question is what did they do for Police to think they need to clamp down on them? Why did this armed group see the arrest of one man as a declaration of war.I think the lawyers and courts are there and if they knew about this in advance he could make arrangements to counter them legally.I think they wanted to send a message that they are also deadly and have no regards for the blood they choose to spill.Period!!!!! sad times for the innocent and law enforcers!!! |
Surely is not ideal in the long run.As it is now somehow it is required to ensure story does not happen and people go on a killing spree or resort to violence over market small dispute.I suggest the healing gains momentum first before you begin to mix.last time some one went to renovate his burnt down house and the result was another round of crisis in the state. With people saying he didn't go to certain non-government people for approval to mix with his fellow xtians again.in this case lets allow this people heal there hearts more. Before crisis start again over someone fixing his shop or somebody insulting others. |

PIB: FG to scrap NNPC, PTDF, PPPRA, DPR, others jonathanFresh indications emerged yesterday that the Federal Government would scrap 10 federal agencies, including the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) upon the approval of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) by the National Assembly. Other federal agencies that would be affected by the passage of the new PIB are the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Petroleum (Special) Trust Fund, Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF), Petroleum Profit Tax and Deep Offshore and Inland Basin Production Sharing Contracts, Motor Spirits (Returns) and Associated Gas Re-injection and Oil Pipelines, among others. A member of the PIB Drafting Committee, Dr. Francis Adigwe, gave the hint at a workshop convened by the Senate Joint Committee on PIB chaired by the Chairman of the Petroleum Resources Committee (Upstream), Emmanuel Paulker. Adigwe said the passage of PIB into law would bring about the repeal of 10 existing Acts, adding, however, that not all laws relating to oil and gas would be repealed. He further explained that, “the existence of the PIB law would bring about creation of 10 new agencies that would be coordinated by the minister of petroleum resources, who is to be treated as an institution and not as a person. “The concept of the minister in the new PIB is as an institution and not a person because provisions in the bill make a sitting minister of petroleum resources to have sweeping powers such as powers of coordinating and regulating the critical areas of the oil and gas sector. “The minister will also advise the president on the appointment of all the chief executive officers of the new agencies, including the upstream petroleum inspectorate and its downstream counterpart, which is not available in the current Petroleum Act.” Meanwhile, an expert in the petroleum industry, Prof. Dagogo Fubara of Kariala Konsult Nigeria Limited, said the 10 percent of oil companies’ net profit to be set apart for the host communities should be reviewed upwards. Speaking at the one-day forum on PIB organised by the Senate Joint Committee on PIB, Prof. Fubara described the figure as inconsequential and called for full royalties from oil and gas companies to the petroleum producing communities. “The quantum is inconsequential for the purpose of the fund of the host communities. It is the practice all over the world that rents and royalties from oil and gas are paid to the host communities. “All royalties and rents from oil and gas should be paid to the state, local government and communities where the oil and gas is extracted at a rate similar to what it was before the 1969 Petroleum Act. “Having a single fund for all the communities as proposed in the bill will be unwieldy, unmanageable and cumbersome to administer transparently, openly and expeditiously with accountability. “Having distinct host community fund will be more definitive and enable each of the communities benefit maximally. It will also enhance peace and harmony between the companies and host communities.” The speaker also kicked against the power of the president to grant and lease oil blocs in special circumstances as stipulated in the new oil law. According to him, such power was inconsistent with the objectives of the bill and as such, should be expunged. “It is inconsistent with the objectives of the bill and leads to continuation of a lot of entrenched corruption and abuse of power, negating all other commercial processes established in the bill.” Various experts who delivered papers at the workshop expressed the opinion that the powers given to the president and the minister of power and in respect of the oil and gas industry were enormous and might be abused. Unlike the extant Petroleum Act, which PIB sought to repeal and which gave the power to allocate oil blocks to the petroleum minister as an institution, PIB sought to reside that power solely in the president. Earlier, Paulker reminded the experts that the Senate Joint Committee on the PIB had an open mind to the new petroleum law, which was why the lawmakers invited the drafters of the bill to elucidate and educate them on the provisions in the new oil law. Paulker said the workshop was intended to give update information on the bill before the scheduled public hearing. “We are engaging services of professional to enlighten us on the bill once more so that when we go out for public hearing in various locations, we would be versed in everything concerning the bill.” http://www.osundefender.org/?p=99401 Culled from The Sun |

Jlow2: Wat d ibos saw since 1966,ask gowon 2 tell u guys wen he sold out 2 d hausa/fulani,I was born n bred in jos,but its painful dat jos has bcome a burial ground, gowon made a great mistake wic innocent women n children are payin dearly 4 it 2day,gowon was used n dumped by d hausa/fulani,dat was why col dimka killed murtala mohmd,n later d likes of jd gomwalk n oda plateau men includin dimka faced firing squad,if senator gyang dantong with all his security can be killed by dis fulani hellsent, den who is safe? I witnessed a lot of brutal killings in jos,so I knw wat am talkin abtPlease help us with information on the killings of the Muslims,Hausa and Fulani people too. As I live there and know exactly what the Beroms do to any vulnerable Muslims not even Hausa/Fulani they can find around. Especially in there remote villages. They have being matched on the violence scale that is why all this crying. Initially when they had a field day non of them said a word. Not even the governor or Gbong Gwom. If not tell me when did the likes of Gbong Gwom and Jang ever visit Hiepang, Kuru-Karama, Farin-gada, Tim-tim, Bukuru Low-cost, Abattoir road or Bauchi by pass to commiserate with Muslims family that were evicted and family members/property destroyed. This were massacre on grand scale that the media and government continues to hide? Do you also know that during Dariye despite the ethno religious crisis he still towered as a better crisis manager. Why is that? He showed he was a father to all that were on the plateau. He listened and condole even if he didn't act correctly. Jang will out rightly show he is bias and hates the others. How in God's name can you then later seek dialogue or reconciliation amongst all the people under your care. when everyday its becoming obvious you are a covert supporter and instigator of the violence. It is also fact that even the Berom know there people always stir up the trouble with the fulani. Just that when it gets to the media the story change. But they know amongst them that they most often than not provoke the Fulani actions. This is by killing Fulani herdsman or cattle. Again I ask have the security people tackled any complains of attack on the Fulani? Its rare. Rather after such incidence the Berom chiefs & JTF promise compensation or investigations and pollicise everything until the fulani decide to act violently. So fairness and Justice is what is required. Why also is it that only Berom casualties are emphasised. How about the other side? what is there story? Did they just choose this path after many years just like that or what? May Peace return to the Plateau. May TRUE reconciliation and forgiveness stay on the Plateau. |

What horror!!!! What is the world turning into? |
kettykings: There is a very big difference between a Government Ministry and a parastatal , While the Ministry of transport is in Abuja NPA is in Lagos , while Ministry of Agriculture is in Abuja , Cocoa headquarters is in Ibadan and the Ministry of solid minerials is in Abuja Coal Coporation headquarters is in Enugu.^^^ As for me am in total support of spreading out federal establishment around states and even ministries. I also support resource control and regional government. Decentralize the whole thing shikenan!!! while I think treats and intimidation will not get the desired results. SNC is needed urgently |
So all this while them they catch people for all sorts of road offence them no even get school to show themselves to drive. No wonder VIP just dey die for car crash any how. Include air force and Navy pilots to. |
treats and intimidation o yo yoooo !!!!! Ministry of Education shall go to ? Agricultural headquarters shall go to? defence head quarters shall go to? FCT shall go to? Industries shall go to? All of una na jingos!!!! Why the war worry una? Its simple the world is sick economically no one would want any serious conflict now. Especially with the economic crisis and population nations hold at this moment. It could be catastrophic and not worth it.Nations dangle between economic melt down and chaos. Anyway north Koreans are ideological and fanatically attached to there government. If only the government is targeted and weakened then things could quickly take a spin. The frictions amongst its leadership and the struggle for people to liberate themselves if only they know what its about. US can take out NK. The questions is time and how much damage would have being done before the NK army or leadership is brought to its knees. Last I saw NK showing off obsolete military hardware. MIG 21,poor artillery batteries, RC Planes! The greatest armament for the NK is the medium range missiles. If an effect missile defence system such as the IRON DOME of Israel is in place, Nk will become less effective. Already is known fact the missiles are less accurate. I see a suicide run war by NK and gradually people changing there minds and betraying the NK Junta. As no matter what they wont keep dying forever to protect the greed of there hardline leaders. |
Thanks for the heads up mr masaob. We shall be vigilant and ready. Anywayz eat kola for now ![]() |
liberty300: Mehn...its true igbos are jew descendants. One feature of this is that they conquer where ever they step there feet on. Its also known that they(jews) are hated by many but despite all the hate, they still strive. So many people can't work or function outside there comfort zone...but not for an igbo man. God bless that tribe. Go and make Africa proud by conquering the united states.^^^^ Until the racist folks turn there hate beam on una before things go make sense for you . |
Okay how about every Law abiding Nigerian get a gun and protect himself because as things are you don't know where the danger will come from. We all need guns for protection. Don't worry it shall be for self defence and anyone carrying it will be made to account for his own!!! I dey laugh in Igbo. Just maybe when people begin run mad enter schools and cinema gun down people then we shall all come back and tackle proliferation of small arms differently. |
The Perception is wrong, the senate did not say so but rather David mark suggested so!!!!! |
When you live with a coursed people, demonic in every sense of it,whose only reason for existing on earth is to destroy, then this is what you get! They fulanis, just like their cows are so debased in nature, that the only language they hear is 'Ka kashe'ie just kill!what a people, how can a man from the south or middle belt co-habit with this dirty, stinking, wicked, savages called Fulanis!Nigeria may never work with this people around us,we insist on break-up!so that all this axis of evil, Niger,Chad,Mali,Northern Cameroun and Northern Nigeria, can become one indivisible country of Hausa-Fulanis.
from you utterance you sound a lot more racist and even hateful than they are. So what does that make you? Good, bad or evil? |
maasoap: Why is it that we only hear these killings when Fulanis attack? Do they occasionally wake up without provocation or any reason, and say let's go and kill some people? I advise that all forms of injustice including media bias should stop in Plateau State so that peace can reign. That's the blind spot!!! have we ever had a report on the Fulani casualties or an attack on the Fulani? Have the Fulani ever being allowed to air there position on happenings around them and what triggers there response? I think all we hear is the one side story. Is it today or recently this violence suddenly became pronounced or its always being there? My take,is that the issues are plenty and they cut across states and affect a lot of people. No other reasons can be said but the years of neglect and mismanagement of our diversity and the exploitation of people for selfish political/religious gains on both sides. At many meetings between the Fulani & Berom issues that cause the attacks are identified. Mostly is cattle rustling by certain locals or farm trespassing by certain nomads. Now people suddenly pick to violence than choose to see local chiefs as was done before or report to authorities for redress. In the north its being a long culture, that all tribes,Fulani inclusive report incidents to elders before even any anger builds in to retaliations. Are these elders amongst people using wisdom to resolve issues on both sides or they exploit the mayhem for economic-political gains and cheap publicity? Where is the wisdom to call the followers and have a strong voice on fair judgment? We are not honest to ourselves and our actions continue to make it even hard for peace to stay. I can tell you on both sides miscreants are having a field day looting at the expense of peoples life. At the same time pretend victims. Sad I say, very sad!!! |
