GTBank is working this morning. I have paid out money severally to various other accounts and third party banks. GTB is the bank jooo, O super!!! |
Its a phase, i am certain they are working round the clock to fix it. In Nigeria, it is GTBank and the rest. They have my most important accounts and i have no intention of dumping them yet. I actually effected a transfer seamlessly yesterday, so if they are challenged today, it will also come to pass. |
A youth corper in my office kept telling me she had to go to church and pay in all her allowance as a first seed offering. I told her in plain language that i hope she would not be relying on me for her lunch for the rest of the month, it became clear in her head that she will so starve if she took that step. On the sunday scheduled for that scam, she stayed away from church. She keeps thanking me for the insight. I keep giving them reason why taking from the masses and giving to one scammer in the name of man of god amounts to imbeci.ility, but their brains wount ever comprehend, Gawwwdd. Dummies in Nigeria, loads and loads of them, honestly |

There is nothing new about the fuel situation joo, its been fairly scarce over a period of time. In my area, they have stopped selling for more than 2 weeks now. All i do is get into teh island early and there are at least one or 2 stations that will be dispensing and i spend less than 10minutes and fuel up. All i do now is fill my tank to the brim at the earliest opportunity and keep topping up whenever opportunity comes up. I also try to fill up a spare tank which i hardly use except in emergrncies (like when my i drove my regular into a ditch on Friday morning (i was high the night before) and needed to take another one to the office ![]() |
Reps do not speak for themselves, they deliVer seeches supposedly written by the person being represented and journalists quote the real person not his rep. That is what i had been taught. |

She warned that any person found selling or sewing police accoutrements will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly. She also called on individuals and organisations with such accoutrements to surrender them to the nearest police station in their interest. www.vanguardngr.com I thought we had a MALE IGP |
We are usually quick to put the blame on the judiciary, especially when our expectations are not met, and this inspite of the fact that our expectations may not be proper or legit and if legit, the process of meeting those expectations are flawed. In the extant case, defence counsel only exploited the loophole provided by incompetent prosecution. it is elementary knowledge to most (if not all lawyers) that there are processes for amending charges. If there is a flaw in the process, it becomes a technical basis for the court to throw out that case. However, we must note that because it is a curable flaw, EFCC can (and should) redraft the charges and then file them again so that the matter can be heard on its merits. The truth is we should be blaming the EFCC lawyers for either doing a shoddy job or having been settled to ensure they do not do the right thing. Naturally if the same set of mistakes are made in an english judicial system, the same results will be achieved, this is not a Nigerian factor except to the extent that the prosecutors need to do a lot more to tighten all the knots so that the defence team of lawyers do not explore a technical flaw. Indeed, even if a man was to be charged for murder and there are overwhelming external evidence tying him to the act, if the legal process of trying him is flawed, he will be exonerated. And that right can be explored up to the supreme court (the final arbiter). I am sure we have all heard at some point in time or another that the law is an 'as.s'. The judge did what he was bound at law to do. In criminal cases, you have the obligation to get it right on your own, if it were a civil case, the court could try to help a perceived wronged party. This is not my opinion or perception, IT IS THE LAW |
It is a pity about his demise, i hope his folks bear this irreparable loss, but wait a minute, did they say this guy is 45? Nigerians, u guys will never stop baffling me, haba. |
@ CRETIN.S All that Tu Berculosis Joshua does is what in corporate parlance we call Corporate Social Responsibilty. The Companies, after making stupendous money from the host community becomes 'legally compelled' to give a little back in return. I am not excited about what y'll claim the guy is doing, like the rest of them, he too is a scammer. Period. And by teh way, I am not an atheist, I believe in God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. THese guys do not represent the truth i have known from infancy. |
@blank Right on Point!!! |
Making these orders are just an aspect, enforcing them is what matters most. How is that guy going to get his money? It is such a lawless society and if he insists so much on executing this judgement, he might be framed up or pick up a stray bullet from an accidental discharge. ![]() |
Pray for them to have change of heart? God forbid. They should keep bombing. When there is no more North, we shall occupy our own part of the country and lay Northern Nigeria desolate. We will live happily ever after. Shikenah |
@Sam Milla, If you are able to stay out of trouble till you are due for renewal, then do not bother with them. Some years ago (about 4 or 5), i was driving back after xmas in the villa and the FRSC stopped me and identified that my brake lights were not functioning. They seized my drivers license and directed me to go and pay at some union bank around ihiala ( I live and work in Lagos) and that was on a weekend, I happily left the license with them. When it became due at the next time, i simply renewed my license. THose guys do not have records and they would not do you jack, except you fall into their hands again. I have even given then coloured photocopies of the driving license severally in Lagos and i have never had any body suing me to the courts. @poster I haven't read that law but i have been told that there is a law (maybe a bylaw or something) allowing RHD vehicles on the road for 3 months or thereabouts. Interestingly, it was my FRSC girl friend that gave me that hint, so obviously they have some jusrisdiction, be it inherent or expressed legally for teh FRSC to enquire into the RHD issue. Do not sit on a high horse, ask to find out what you are paying for and how best to remedy it, it might just be that you will then get a formal approval to use it for a limited time until you effect the change. It is a pity about any embarassment you might have faced, it is our Papa's land. |
I just couldn't bring myself to read this long essay. ![]() |
Ok so, now taht she has gone and the young banker has lost out what are we expected to do? Mtcheeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwww, busy bodies. ![]() |
I hated Maths because of the poor background my teachers imbued us with. I simply avoided maths and went on to study a course that had nothing to do with Mathematics.(Law actually). Interestingly, I went to enrol for MBA and was able to learn a lot of calculations, statistics, differentiations, even courses and topics in econometrics and calculations in elasticity (advanced economics) that i started wondering why i never managed it in my younger days. I guess it was because i felt i had a choice. That crazy course (mathematics) reared its ugly head again when i was writing one yeye professional course. (Financial Management for Decision Makers). I wrote that course 3 times and finally got the 'excellent' grade. In truth, maths is simple, sweet and straight forward, it just requires regular studying and if you have strong fundamentals, the better. I encourage all especially the younger generation to embrace and be serious with it, you will always need it sometime someday somewhere somehow |
@ OP None of them comes within my definition of a Diva, perhaps you can now rephrase your question if you want my input. |
^^^^Define a war criminal and what usually happens to war criminals. Juxtapose your definition and assessments with what is now happening to Ojukwu even in death and thereafter call youself an appropraite name. lilliputians in the brain will never stop parading their idioc.y |
^^^^by the way, as at today, i am not just an egg head, i define other people's future as a member of top management in my organisation ![]() |
I have been laffing all the way reading posts here, with knowledge that quite a number of these things are pure lies. Anyway, i was a slow starter and never really picked up until the Uni. I never came 1st. my best position all through was a 2nd, and that was in my secondary school days. I honestly dont recall how i fared in primary school, but i tend to think i never really came out tops, i gues that is why after my first degree, i want to amass all conceivale degrees and i have been doing that in style (u wan try my array of degrees, I am pursuing the last one in the very distant future (RIP) |
@okija juju, you are a D.O.L.T. Only bastardiz.ed igbos have moved on. you just open your dirty trap and spew rubbish. I have been watching you with rapt attention and reading the balderdash you have been posting. I have come to the conclusion that you are either not of Igbo extraction or you are the son of a military man that was delivered when the Northerners were fighting the Igbos. since the man can no longer be identified, you know what that makes you? Posts: 175 Offline Re: Ojukwu Was Forced To Defend His People, Says Tinubu « #52 on: Today at 04:58:51 PM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In kindness, I asked yoruba brethren. Which one of your people was killed by biafran troops led by banjo towards lagos that stopped at ore? My uncle was still in lagos at that time working for the newspaper and knows many events that occurred at that time. I know some elder igbo men that were part of that invasion. Their purpose was to catch the nigerian military off guard by seizing the capital and military munitions that were held in lagos. Most of the nigerian military was mobilized in the north. Ask delta people if their people were killed in the midwest when the biafra army went through their land. Remember that biafra declared independence and nigeria declared war before these events occurred. @ Above My uncle who was part of the so called invasion told me the same story. I recall him saying that the error of judgement was giving Banjo some form of leadership. Even my uncle's wife (a briton) who had stayed long in Nigeria with the yorubas wept upon hearing of that appointment because she correctly predicted what would happen, and it came to pass. He sold out as teh typical Yoruba man will ANYDAY (reference point? MKO Abiola) |
I am in the wrong part of Nairaland again. How did i get here ![]() |
^^^^ You are a massive D.U.N.C.E |
Is this 'Chinko"? |
Let me think through this and i will get back with an opinion. |
Great write-up and incisive reasonings by all and sundry. I will sum this whole argument up by saying that although i scalled down on my property investment, i still regret developing any ppty in Lagos. Yet Lagos is a lot more metrpolitan town. My point? Any investment in property going forward will ONLY be done in Igbo land, except money market and securities. History has thought me that when greed comes up as a result of success of the igbos, the 'brotherly' Igalas will very quickly forget that we were ever bonded. I am not in a position to discourage anyone wIshing to accept the offer, however, to b forewarned is to b forearmed. Generations unborn will refuse and or neglect to appreciate the bonds when they get enticed with the possibily of chasing our igbo brothers away and turning their properties into abandoned property. Use ur head. In my place we say nwa Aro iche, nkpo ola iche. |
Re: Police Inspector Shot Dead By Patrol Team-turning The Gun On Themselves! « #11 on: Today at 10:03:24 AM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two ways to look at this: 1. Its either they are lying. They must have fired before asking questions and later discovered he is one of them. OR 2. Mr. Clement is using his service pistol to rob people on that infamous area and on sighting his colleagues fled so that he wont be identified. Its either of the two. I cannot agree more |
Blame this on Boko Haram. It is Boko Haram again. THose boys have infiltrated families and homes ![]() |
Let our Northern graduates serve their motherland in those areas. what is this man's problem sef? In short any Corper from the southern part of this country that accepts to go and serve there will not have my sympathy when the expected and anticipated happens, because it will SURELY happen. Let those who have ears hear |
