Jokes Etc › Re: No Reception! This Wedding Invitation is Trending On Social Media by ImaIma1(f): 7:13pm On Aug 31, 2019
Wedding reception is not mandatory and it is expensive; hall, decoration, caterers setting up, MC, etc. They can distribute take away packs at the church and scratch reception.

XhosaNostra:
Yeah, that could be one of the reasons.
And someone mentioned being tomboyish. Maybe that could also apply because I remember a girl made a pass at me thinking I was swinging that way probably because I was very active in sports in school and always around guys.

Yes!!!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one that has experienced something like this. What do you believe is the cause? I've tried avoiding eye contact because I thought that maybe I'm giving people "Come hither" eyes, unawares lol. That didn't work.
I even dress sensibly but weird things still happen despite my best efforts. I've resigned to the reality that I must be a crazy magnet. Plain & simple.
I think one reason could be if you are a not a judgemental person; you are open minded and objective in your thinking. So they feel free with you.

XhosaNostra:
Lol, I have this thing...I'm not sure what to call it (an aura perhaps?) that makes people do & say weird things.
I cannot speak of social media experiences because I'm not big on that. However, I could write a book on the craziest things I've seen & heard in my waking life.

One time I was having a random conversation with a tattoo artist in my area. Out of the blue, he asked if I wanted to see his penìs tattoo & before I could grasp out a response, Jack was already out of the pulpit. It was just bizarre. I didn't find that particular incident annoying though. What I find annoying is the fact that people seem to feel (free?) enough around me to say & do inappropriate things. I'm not talking only about people I'm acquainted with (like the tattoo guy), but also random strangers I don't know from Adam. I've seem more penìses than a whòrehouse wench. Strangely enough, this didn't start now. We moved from my early childhood home because my father beat up a neighbour for exposing himself to me. I believe I was 8 or 9 at the time. It has happened so often that now I almost expect it & that's the annoying part of it.
I can so relate. I saw a lot of "those" from guys I never had anything to do with. I had to start begging them at a point to behave.

Plus people tell me things...deepest secrets that they should not be telling. Like in school, a guy told me how he was a paedophile but retraced his steps and even attempted going to a monastery as a means of purging himself.

Till now, people confide in me even if they haven't known me for long. So I feel you to a large extent.

Family › Re: Please Have Mercy On Your Children by ImaIma1(f): 6:43am On Aug 30, 2019
Antinatalist:
Life is too hard Sir. There's no reason for me to kill my fellow man or wish them suffering. I help them whenever it's within my power to. It's not me who is a psychopath but people who see that life consists of sufferings and death and still proceed to impose it on others out of their selfish desires to be parent.

Also. Antinatalism is a growing movement. It will take time but we'll definitely succeed in our efforts to save the unborn from unnecessary sufferings and death.
Who did this to you?
Family › Re: Please Have Mercy On Your Children by ImaIma1(f): 5:30pm On Aug 29, 2019
Antinatalist:
You do not even try to address the vital points in my arguments. You just pick a single line that suits you and that's all.

Well. I'll address whatever argument or question you pose to me.

I guess your view on people being happy is that they have a job, stable and sufficient income and they smile often. But in all honesty none of these guarantee happiness and we've seen countless stories of high income people and celebrities committing suicide due to unhappiness.

Secondly. While it is true that they are people in this world that are happy with their life. It's also not a reason to want to bring any child into this world.
This is because you cannot guarantee before-hand that the kid you're bring into this world is going to be happy with that life you're going to impose on them.
It is possible that the kid might even get sick only to suffer before he/she becomes an adult. .
It's also possible that you may even die before that kid becomes an adult leaving them prey to both physical and emotional abuse by people around them.

I could go on but I know you really have no interest in my arguments but rather you're hell bent in trying to show me how wrong I am. If you look at the negative aspects of life and still insist in creating babies then you're actually gambling with someone's life. It's best to leave that child in peace than force life on them.
There's no need dissecting your comments. I am already repelled by the pessimism, despair and negativity that seems to be your anchor and I don't want you dragging me along into it.
Family › Re: Please Have Mercy On Your Children by ImaIma1(f): 5:19pm On Aug 29, 2019
Antinatalist:
Yes you can. By observing this world and seeing that it is too hard, you can out of sympathy spare that child the burden of existence.
We spend almost 20years of our life getting education. Another stage is wageslaving and paying bills, excluding the possibility of being sick several times and suffering emotional traumas. Plus the anxiety of maintaining a job. At later stage we get old and suffer other complications before dying.

Having witnessed these things associated with living you can have some sympathy for your unborn children and spare them this tragedy called life.

Yes, and I have already forgiven my mother for giving birth to me. I plan not to repeat this mistake she made.
I can see your mind is set on the issue. Allow others the privilege of also making their decision on the issue also instead of trying to force down your idea/opinion.

Antinatalist:
There are several reasons to have children but it can never be for the sake of that child. If you truly love your children and wish them happiness and rest of mind then you not bringing them to this world is the best love you can offer them.

You mention healthy children, being healthy today does not guarantee that one will be healthy in the near future. I need not give too much examples, they're countless stories of people that are healthy and happy today and become bed sick and unhappy for the rest of their lives. ...

I'm not focusing on the negatives, all these are potential harm that can befall on anybody Born into this world. The only we can love our children is to not give birth to them in the first place.
How can I love what I do not have or intend to have?

I guess you wish you were not born. There are also countless stories about people that were healthy and happy and still ended up healthy and happy. Put your focus on those ones.

Peachbloom:
From all these you have posted, and from your replies to me, I see that you are a man who will like to eat your cake and have it!

Roles reversed, can you take half of what I stated happened to the lady?

No, you can't.

I don't subscribe to staying when things are abusive. Many women have lost their lives. I also don't subscribe to divorces either, which is why I tell the people involved, what is your heart telling you to do? Whatever it is, you will be fine.

Marriages aren't rosy agreed. However, some are from the deeper pits of hell, so why stay when you can't go on.

In this lady's case, the following were quite obtainable (kindly note that this is with medical proofs) :

Physical torture and abuse.
Emotional bullying.
His family also started bullying her family (which I am a part of)
She was made to quit 2 jobs in the space of one and a half years all in the name of "why is your wife richer than you." by his family.

Who doesn't pray that his or her child be successful whether male or female?.

He turned her into a shadow of herself. Through all these, she was loyal.

Now things have got better you want to ruin it again?.

Her new mother in law has been so so supportive and prayerful, and the backing is beyond what I expected.

I am happy for her, but your comments are quite disturbing.
The way he or she attacked your comment initially; asking if you were married and all sorts already showed the mindset and bias
Family › Re: Please Have Mercy On Your Children by ImaIma1(f): 3:04pm On Aug 29, 2019
Antinatalist:
No. You're wrong Sir.
Just because you're rich doesn't give you the Right to bring any child into this world. Here's why . .

Your money cannot save that child from disabilities and other medical diseases they may be born with. .
Your money cannot save that child from accidents that might render down motionless for the rest of their lives. .
There's no guarantee that your financial situation won't change in the far future. Therefore making your child suffer.
Your money cannot save that child from anxieties and other mental health issues due to having to run a business to sustain income. .
.

The reasons not to have children are endless. It is better not to bring them at all than to bring them to suffer for nothing.
The reasons not to have them are endless. What about the reasons to have them? What about the healthy children who are mentally intact? You are focusing only on the negative aspects alone. What about the positives?

Why not tell him how much it cost to fix the screen?

Samsung is a good phone with expensive parts i can never use Samsung phone again after my experience with Samsung A9pro
So should he go for a substandard phone just because the parts are cheaper? Ultimately he might spend more on a substandard phone because of the problems that come up often.

i JUST bought a good itel phone for 13,500. can do whatsapp, instagram, good camera. our youth need sense. why willl our youth be buying phone of 50,000naira when most of them are struggling to eat, some of them dont have a good paying job. my phone of 13,500 wil do 95% of what phone of 100k will do.
Your priorities and income are quite different. A 100k phone for some people is the way your 13,500 phone is to you. Your idea of expensive is another person's"cheap".

Besides, there are still people that will tell you that 13,500 is too much to buy a phone when they have not eaten. So enjoy your 13,500 phone and let others enjoy what they can also comfortably afford.

You were probably the rebound guy. She broke up with her boyfriend and was in emotional pain. You came along like a a Knight in shinny armour and showed her so much love and she was swept away. But she probably failed to deal with the reality of her break up and get over it. She thought jumping into another relationship would heal her of the former. And then the ex came along and everything came rushing back.

This is just my theory. It happens a lot. She still she messed up. It would have been better if she had told you about the boyfriend and breakup saga.

But then again, the fact that you had to persuade her for so long before she finally agreed to date you is a red flag that you failed to see

Your age is obviously not a reflection of your intellect. The fact that you are in your 30s and still think like a child is quite worrisome.

And you have to resolve to insults and tantrums instead of responding like a man that you proclaim to be.

The fact that the ladies you mingle with lack substance doesn't mean you should make ignorant conclusions. If you were really in your 30s, you would have been wiser
