If you love yourself, you will know what to do and not take bull-shit from anyone. How can someone be insulting and disrespecting you and you still stay there like they tied you there.
Please start looking out for yourself and learn to be firm and don't take nonsense. Both guys are bad news. Move on please. |

Romance › Re: Why Do Girls Like Guys With Cars..i Don't Understand by ImaIma1(f): 6:45am On Sep 11, 2019 |
pocohantas: You are very correct, everyone likes convenience. At work, whenever we are going somewhere, they start asking me if I am driving. Sometimes once I start shutting down my system, they start doing same. I can't even have some quiet time in my own car again.
I find theirs more irritating because the guy amongst ladies automatically feels entitled to the front seat. That is if he doesn't ask for the car keys to do the driving sef.
When my bro got his first car, same thing. His friends always wanted to tag along. Look around at any comfortable guy with a good job and you will see friends squatting with him.Everyone likes convenience. Anyone that says otherwise is only lying to himself.
For me, being thrilled by a guy with a car would be more about how he handles the car, definitely not the car itself. Which car do they drive that should make one lose senses if not for lack or plain stupidity? at the bolded. I was going to add the office setting to my point...lol. In my office almost every one without a car(male and female) automatically attaches themselves to those with cars. This thing you mentioned about a comfortable guy caused big issues with my very close friend and her fiance then. He had a good job and was staying in a 2 bedroom apartment and he had a car. He had this friend that was squatting with him and was always tagging along. When my friend came into the picture, it was wahala because they will be going to hang out together and the guy would tag along and take the front seat. The babe had her own car but will it make sense for both of them to drive when they are going out? It was so annoying because they didn't have their privacy. Three on a date...lol. The guy didn't want to hurt his friend and leave him behind. One day the fiance said he was coming to take her out. When she came out and saw the friend in the car, she went back. She called his phone and said she's not going anymore. Things changed after that day. The guy caused plenty issues between them because he was trying to keep his front seat and space in the house. The guy had to move out because at a point, she said she would not step into that house if he was there...lol.Now they are married. Guys here always make everything about girls. Guys are also golddiggers, leeches, etc. These days it's even worse with the kind of mentally lazy mummy's boys we have now. |

NwaAmaikpe:

Your father is your father. Sometimes our fathers do what they have to do and we may never rationalize why they did what they had to do.
But we must do all we can do to show them that we have not forgotten that they are our fathers. But if you do what you think you have to do to repay your dad for doing all he did and for being who he is; then you are no worse than your father for not knowing any better.
I hope this makes some sense to you because it doesn't make any sense to me that you've been letting that leech milk you and confuse you to think you are Jesus the saviour.
Lalasticlala This gives irresponsible fathers the licence to wander, abandon their families and do as they please. When they can as well come back and blackmail their children emotionally with the sentimental stance that they are still their fathers regardless. Op that man deserves only monthly stipends. Cut down on the other "emergencies". He should send his children to Canada himself. Do not let him transfer the responsibility of those kids to you. |

That is why i say men and women are wired differently. Bothers me when guys think a woman can think like that. Lmao.
Waymehn are very very selfish beings who are the lookout for their own selfish interest. I disagree. I have seen guys that are leeches who always tag along with the friends with cars. Wanting convenience is not peculiar to ladies. Everyone likes it. |

Convenience i guess. Even you...of you have friends and one has a car, which one will you hang with more? Lol
But the car is not the most important thing. There are cases where a car owner loses against a non car owner. |

Despite the fact that the wife has more rights in the house, she should be more accomodating towards her MIL and treat her with respect. They can negotiate on programmes to watch and alternate. Afterall, the woman will go back to her house |

At least talk to your mum first about him and hear what she has to say. Tell her you are both dating and want to get married. Find out why she even has reservations about him. You need to tread carefully and think deeply before you make a decision. Because marriage is deep |

Ishilove: It's quite shocking that people are actually taking the words of a mysoginistic, male chauvinistic ego maniac at face value. It makes me wonder about their relationship with their female relatives.
Do you know the amazing thing, these people aren't married and a large percentage of them don't have children, yet they come online to proudly spew ignorant drivel.
Proclaiming themselves wise, they have fallen into deep folly (they have become fools). Romans 1 vs 22. What you should know is that these guys are all bark and no bite. All they can do is insult and belittle women behind their devices...that's probably the only thing that makes their existence worthwhile...women that they cannot ordinarily approach in real life. Insulting women here fills the void in them and makes them feel important online. You'll understand how lame and shallow they are with the way they follow someone blindly without thinking for themselves because it makes them feel like a part of something. They don't actually realize that they are victims of the same brainwashing that they are talking about. Don't take them too seriously. They will get wiser with age. |

Regiomontanus: So if I write the following : As Albert Einstein said "imagination is more important than knowledge", does it mean that I don't have a mind of my own and I am emotional and unrealistic? Does it mean that I am Einstein's boy?
Sorry to say, you are not bright and you are a bit daft. Maybe it's genetic or you are being emotional. Good bye and this time, I mean it. See who is saying someone is not bright . You are so petty and touchy. And things trigger you easily. You are quick to throw jabs and insults. Is that your definition of being bright. Remove the plank in your eye. It seems this is one of the teachings of Ubunja. His followers always call everyone daft and they see themselves as the brightest. Sorry to break it to you...you are blindly daft. |
Family › Re: Children Of "Deadbeat" Fathers. Time To Think. by ImaIma1(f): 4:29pm On Sep 08, 2019 |
Regiomontanus: Lol. Face the truth. Martinez39 was right, having the expectation of females being reasonable on an issue like this is unrealistic. Like ubunja said, don't expect the sun to rise from the...
Good day. As I said if you can't be sensible, please don't quote me. You are already being emotional and unrealistic. You that don't have a mind of your own..you have to call Ubunja's name first. Please I am not ready for Ubunja's boys today. |
Family › Re: Children Of "Deadbeat" Fathers. Time To Think. by ImaIma1(f): 4:24pm On Sep 08, 2019 |
Regiomontanus: 1) Most fathers are away from home most of the time hustling to cater for their families. 2) Mothers therefore have all the time in the world with the children. 3) Never underestimate the power of brain washing. In addition, most mothers subtly make it known to kids that "it's either your father or me." 4) During marital dispute and in the case of separation in which the mother keeps the kids, the father is helpless against the brainwashing because the father will usually have to go through the mother to see the kids. The mother then has the privilege to regulate and manipulate the conversation between father and kids and the mindset of the children towards the father. 5) When the mother forbids the kids from giving the father their contacts and only permit calls through her phone, what can the father do? When a brainwashed child blindly by hate doesn't want to see the father, what can the father do?
More deception from ladies. Martinez39, the critical thinker and red piller, has exposed these wicked and petty mothers. Good day. I understand all this. My husband is away at work a lot and even travels. But the time he gets to spend with his daughter is very important to him. It's a joy to watch them. If I were to be the kind of wife that badmouths people, it will be hard to make her hate her dad. That's what I mean. This kind of comment up here from you is why I say this thread is another female bashing thread. |
Family › Re: Children Of "Deadbeat" Fathers. Time To Think. by ImaIma1(f): 4:14pm On Sep 08, 2019 |
Regiomontanus: Are you trying to say that there are no mothers who poison their children's mind and alienate them from their fathers? Anyway, let me not waste my time arguing with a woman. Forget I asked. Now this here is a major problem on Nairaland. If you cannot be sensible and civil in your communication, please don't quote me. |
Family › Re: Children Of "Deadbeat" Fathers. Time To Think. by ImaIma1(f): 4:00pm On Sep 08, 2019 |
The problem with this thread is that it takes another form of a female bashing thread which has become a norm on NL.
It's only a man that is not actively involved in his child's life that will be a victim of such a woman's influence on the child. |
Family › Re: Children Of "Deadbeat" Fathers. Time To Think. by ImaIma1(f): 3:49pm On Sep 08, 2019 |
addictiv: OP has raised valid points, a lot of children have been fed lies about their fathers by their mothers, who did so out for selfish gains. The ultimate looser is the child who is deprived of a father figure. The fathers should get close to their children and stop using the excuse of "their mother is poisoning their minds" to cover their negligence. |
