edoman2016:
You ladies are very funny. What give the OP that the three guys have intentions to marry her but not just to have sex with her? I hate ladies that scrutinize their relationship like examination and experiment. I just broke up with my holier than thou girlfriend recently. She is just like the OP.

She was scrutinizing our relationship like examination instead of enjoying it and give it all. She always think she is a very good wife material even though she has her own weaknesses. She is boring and self centered. Despite that, I overlooked it because no one is perfect. When I got tired of her constant scrutinization, I broke up with her. And I had intention to marry her cause I am 31.. Why date a man, if you know you will still be on a watch out in the relationship?
Everybody scrutinizes...ladies and men especially when it comes to choosing a life partner. Though we should not forget to enjoy the relationship.

But if the person has flaws you cannot live with, you move on.

Well, guys are different... In as much as a lady doesn't ask doesn't mean one should just relax... At least i should be able to know when she needs to make her hair and also when she needs pocket change... At least it's something...
Most guys here would say "Am I her father?" cheesy

Good to know you would care about her needs.

I used to think like you, until I got married, woman dey drive man crazy, na only God fit hold you from giving her correct beating
And have you used a machete to beat your wife before?

No matter how crazy a woman gets, a man should be able to control his rage and temper to avoid spending some years or the redt of his life in jail.

I cud remember vivid when my father gave me a very well propelled comfortable beating of my life years back...

Reasons:I suddenly woke up,jumped down from the bed, opened the door by 12.30am in the early hours of the morning when normal beings were asleep.

I ran with speed towards a primary school close to our house and climbed the tree cry.
My late dad yanked me down and gave me a well deserved proportional beating.

Funny enuf...i didn't feel any pains I was sleep walking all the way back home.i woke up to funny stares from my siblings and body ache.
Village people...lol cheesy

Reference:
What is the problem about representing an issue in a different light. If the lady could drag her elephant to the streets of global media she should expect differing opinions. One man's joke is another man's insult. There is liberty on the net. Folks just want to express themselves even if it is tangential to the target. And its not a Nairaland or Nigerian phenomenon alone.
How about they see things relating to women on a positive side for a change?

It does not always have to be "ladies are useless"..."ladies are foolish" everytime. It is becoming a cliché.

I feel bad for everyone on this thread who don't know a simple joke when they see it

The mature folks on Twitter, where this comment was originally made, saw her post and made jokes of it, even the babe follow dey laugh, but these sad people on Nairaland will use any avenue to insult a woman on top joke.

I bet most of you just saw the sensational headline by this mischievous blogger and jumped to comment, nobody read the actual post to understand

I really pity a lot of you
I keep saying that it was most guys on NL know how to do best.

Most of them that bash ladies are either children or immature. A real man will be able to separate the chaff from the wheat and understand that not all ladies are bad or whatever they keep accusing us for. Thank God we still have a few here.

So what you are simply trying to say is he should rebel against his mother and travel to Lagos where he knows know on except a friend that promised him 50k blogging job?
The job is not sure and probably not secure. The tailoring would have been a better bet if he had the interest in it.

He should talk to his mother and let her know what he really wants that is if he is sure he knows what he wants. And they can go from there

You again. Why do you always have these intense logic deficiencies?
How is that thought process working for you?

You nigerians are just so DAFT.

Sowore is EXACTLY what you need to change things up in that country and bring it up to standard.
Someone exposed and clear about how sad it is that Nigeria is still where it is now compared to others (only a diasporan can truly understand this. Nigerians in Nigeria are too used to the smell of living in a stinky house for decades).
Yet your stupid bush thinking will not let you see past "He is younger than XYZ".

How old was Obama when he became president of the USA?

If you vote in PDP or APC again, you all deserve the deaths your leaders will bring upon you.
Shebi you like suffer? Continue.
I can't even see past how pompous, arrogant and self absorbed you sound.

You should try communicating without so much insultive words. It will help you more than the person you are directing it at. And get rid of this bitterness that you carry around like a banner.

If you like, be in the safest country in the world, you will die first since you are wishing others death.

Go to bed and lose the attitude before you wake up

You are pushing him to embark on dangerous adventure. If he were to be your brother would you advise him like this?

What if something bad happen to him would you be there to save him?

Please don't push him in to doing something he'll end up regretting.
Pushing him? Is he not an adult? What is dangerous about wanting to go to school instead of doing tailoring?

Can't something bad also happen to him while he is learning the tailoring thing?

This is usually the problem with parents...feeling as if their way is the right and only way. It is the boy's life and future. Shouldn't he have a say in it?

If he is my brother, i will want to know what he has a passion for and help him achieve it and not try to derail him.
Career › Re: . by ImaIma1(f): 11:07am On Oct 02, 2018
Avedonn:
You better listen to your mom she knows better.

You are about to make a costly mistake by accepting that job that's if the job is even genuine.

Focus on your tailoring apprenticeship and keep begging your parents to reconsider their decision. Besides, I know she meant well for you and will never do any thing that'd ruin your life. So you need to calm down and stop running faster than your shadow.

Please don't destroy your life young man.
Sometimes parents get it wrong. His mum cannot be right all the time. She may be doing what she thinks is best which might be wrong. Mums are humans too...not above mistakes.

If he wanted to go back to school, she should have encouraged it instead of forcing him to do tailoring that he has no passion for. If he were to be in school, he may not consider leaving school for this job because he wants school and not tailoring.

Parents should stop forcing careers or businesses on their children. They don't always know best as we used to believe before. Many children are hopeless and frustrated because of their parent's interference in their lives. Parents should only guide and not impose.

You see. As if i was there, they end up being their wives first born, and the eldest child of their wives... grin

You will be amazed at the percentile of men of this generation that have never started and finished a project. This is what makes a man, the insigght, then the pursuit of purpose, and turning ideas into reality, when all these exist in a man, even if he's down he'll rise back up again. You can't find this in many men thesedays, even if you do, it ends at lip service with no energy to back their enthusiasm up. They speak posh grammar, look neat, spotless, but the grits and wits of an intellectual hard working man is completely inexistent in them, Unfortunately, it becomes too late to do the re-wiring of their cognitive proccesses as their default setting is built by the process of lazy and bad upbringing that they were subjected to. I feel sowwie for the ladies..Very sorry, men ladies will end with boys in men's body grin
That is why you see men these days looking for a wife that would double as a maid because they cannot do anything for themselves.

Recently I heard a father complaining about his son in the university not growing up and being responsible. The boy is in his 2nd year. He finds it difficult waking up early and has missed chapel many times (private uni wahala), he keeps losing his clothes and is just generally still a baby.

This boy will be a baby and burden to his wife eventually with the way it is going. I don't subscribe to a university where my son will not be independent and free to become a man.

There are too many guy these days that don't know their left from their right but just try to cover up with swag and packaging

A lot of men in this generation are this way actually. I've seen some of my childhood friends run to marry in such scenarios and i can't help but feel sorry for them. And, then the lady they pretended to with posh grammar.

To attain sustainable success, hardwork is the way, the only way, i hope they learn. You can't hide all the days of your life by trying to belong where one doesn't belong, at some point, exposition occurs and shame follows suit. Like i tell my colleagues, if many of our parents had done the work of good parenting, there would have been plenty healthy men and women enough to go around.

Why we have complains here and there is just the aftermath of bad upbringing, absentee fatherism, ungroomed adults that have stunted lives, their moulds and body parts are that of adults, but deep down, these entities remained stuck in their childhood.
Very true. Upbringing is the culprit here especially for this particular guy. He is the only boy in his family and his mum over indulged him and pampered him and was even doing his laundry till he got married.

Sometimes parents think they are helping their children and trying to make things easy for them and giving them a better life but they end up making them a burden to people they meet later especially their spouses.
