I'm sorry but this is a civil discussion, so please treat it as such. No insults pls

When you mean her child, do you also mean it's not his child too? Or by her child you mean, the mother owns the child more than the father does? Or perhaps the mother has rights to the child more than the father does??
No the bond between a father and child is strong also. I was actually looking at the fact that the child has been with her and suddenly she is meant to release him to stay with his dad.

Since the parents are not together, it is better for both of them to share custody but not one completely letting go of the child

Even a couple that are both working and have a child still need support support not to talk of a single mum fending for the kid alone.

As a mother; she cannot just release her child to Whizkid. It doesn't even make sense. Mother and child is a strong bond.

You are a patient and really nice person. However you should have drawn the line from the get go. Having a tv in her room is unnecessary plus even connecting dstv.

Calling you or coming to knock on your room door because she wants to watch tv is over the top. Calling you for a meeting is unbelievable. How did you allow it be this way?

You might have to ask her to go because cutting back on all the liberties you have given her will be a problem.

Have a bad day? You gave yourself a bad day. Did you see me insult you in all our conversation?? No. You called me hoe-ish, pained, ho, hopeless but i never for once insulted you.

And you seem to love my adorable baby or why else would you keep bringing a defenceless baby into the conversation? As a way to irk me? It aint working. One day you too will have a baby of a creature cheesy...or how did you put it?

In all of this, you ended up sounding like an emotionally charged person not able to control his emotions and converse like a mature man. And you managed to validate the topic of discussion.

Have a good evening.

Wiz is a deadbeat dad, like it or not. One is an accusation but two is evidence. Two of his baby mama are complaining of the same thing; not being there for his kids, no child support, and only their if he wants to play paparazzi. It’s no allegation but fact that the dude is a deadbeat dad and he’s on a self destruct mode.
His destruction won’t be from the second baby mama but the third. Yes the jada P. lady as she ain’t stupid to ignore what’s going on. When she see a sign of wiz sour behaviour or if she Catches wiz cheating then he’s doom and will pay bills that will send him back to Surulere.

Ps: look at the boy reaction on stage with his supposed dad. That will tell you that man ain’t a father. A kid of his age will even dance, hug, and smile sheepishly if he has a strong connection with his father but boy just smirked. SMH.

aunty there so many good guys, but very hard to see a faithful girl,i know how many girls i have dated and still sleeping with their friends as a game and these girls have boyfriends.
i have channeled all the love i have myself and i became narcistic.and i now have peace of mind.
I advice anyguy falling in love to be extremly careful because Almost all the women i have seen cheats but they only accept if you catch them red handed.ask guys that have made it in life and they will tell you how easy and cheap women are.
Bros you are a guy and you don't date guys so you cannot know. You are only speaking from your limited point of view and i tell you that they are so many many unworthy guys. So many heartbreakers that know they don't want anything serious but they string the lady along...so many guys that only want sex and dump her when he is ok.

You don't have monopoly of bad experiences as a guy. Let some ladies sit you down and gist you, you will understand that it is not just the ladies.

My former colleague dated a guy who borrowed a large amount of money from her and abandoned his studio and absconded till today...over 1m. Another colleague dated a guy for over a year only to discover that he was married and his family lived outside Lagos that is after she dated a guy that got married 2 months after they broke up.

That's just a few. Guys are also liars, cheats, gold diggers and gigolos. Let's not be bias here.

seriously i would never love a woman again in my life
You will never love another woman because of one woman? She is obviously still in charge of your life.

I never allowed any useless guy affect me that much. I always believed that there was someone good and i was right.

Everyone has a right to make their choice. Why are guys not bashing girls that want to be with "broke guys"?

You guys makeit sound like it is wrong to be with a rich guy but very right to be with a "not rich" guy. And not all rich guys are yahoo boys. Let's stop the beefing.

Is it everyone that will date a guy that doesn't have money? Who will date the rich ones? Even guys these days look for ladies with money to marry instead of the broke ones.

So let everyone marry who they want...poor or rich and face the consequences of their actions.

MY DEAR IM NOT RICH NOR POOR I EVEN PAID FOR WHAT SHE ORDERD AS A GENTLE . I COULD EASILY DECIDE NOT TO PAY . YOU GIRLS SHOULD REALLY STOP DEGRADING YOUR SELVES LIKE THIS ,
You guys will select a random girl on SM based on sexy pictures or whatever yardstick. When she now messes up, you come and cry foul. Do you know if she is just on FB waiting for a mugu to chat her up?

If you are a working class person, look to that circle and pick a serious minded lady that you have something in common with and not an "i never chop".

This trend is not peculiar to "Nigerian ladies"...even the guys are looking for ladies to scam. Ladies that would put their jobs on the line and collect loans for them and then they disappear.

Family › Re: Is It Advisable For Boys To Be In Boarding Secondary Schools, please Advice by ImaIma1(f):
meobizy:
If you like your children I suggest you keep them close to you at all stages of their development. A word is enough for the wise.
Since most of the people you know sent their kids to boarding house I will advice you pay attention to the amount who return back home and pick the day-student option.

The fault here is still his parents.
I hate it when people see children playing with younger ones being a crutch. In the real world our friends come in different age ranges. My friends who are 31+ have friends who range from 26 - 40 in age. I will open a thread to address this issue but this anti-intellectual forum will only watch it sink into oblivion.
The main thing is your nephew has friends, his parents should encourage it and stop trying to make him a loner.

Why don't the parents then commit suicide since it will create the ultimate test of independence?
Teaching a child independence is easy. Having his own room which he maintains himself will do more for him than any boarding school.

At what age did you enter?
My younger sister went at 15 and enjoyed the experience because she begged to go there.
I went because my father saw boarding house as a big deal. It influenced my thinking. On getting there at age 10 I saw it wasn't all my old man envisioned. The African americans who were sent there to get hard by their Nigerian parents likened the setting to juvenile detention centres [prison]; a place known for instilling anti-social behaviour in growing teens.
The independence you keep preaching, when you see the child comes back and detaches him/herself from you emotionally you will regret it in the long run.
I entered at age 10 and i learnt to cope and it turned out to be a wonderful experience.

I love my children and they will go to boarding schools. I don't need to keep them close to make sure they develop well. A child that will be wayward and rebellious will still manifest it in day school. It changes nothing.

There are so many children in day school that didn't turn out well even with their parent's imput. I believe in bringing them up well and instilling the right things in them and allowing them be themselves while i pray for God to look after them. If i notice that it is not doing them good, i will withdraw them.

I remember some neighbours i had when growing up who were kept under close watch from primary to sec school while we were sent off to boarding schools. By the time the two of them entered Uni, they just turned lost it and overused their freedom while it wasn't new to us.

The suicide option is not necessary...well except you want to explore it since you brought it up.

About my nephew...there is nothing wrong with playing with younger kids as long as he doesn't start behaving and thinking like them and forgetting his age.

We have differences in opinion and that's ok.
Family › Re: Is It Advisable For Boys To Be In Boarding Secondary Schools, please Advice by ImaIma1(f): 6:26pm On Sep 19, 2018
meobizy:
Everyone has their opinion. I will advice you not to choose the boarding house option.
The only person who can teach a child independence is the parent. One can't force it on the child. The six years of primary school is not enough, the children can still pick bad habits even at the age of 16. For female children it can go as high as 21/22 but that's a story for another day.
I honestly thought I was the only one with my view until I joined a Whatsapp group comprising of my old classmates. 90% or a little less of them [~88%] share the same view.
If as a parent you don't/can't teach your child something then neither can someone else.
I still know a lot of people that will ready choose the boarding school option. Infact, my nephew resumed on Sunday and a lot of children from friends and family friends choose the option. And i even intend to send my boys to Nigerian Military Sch in Zaria wink

For my nephew, it was inevitable because he just refused to mature...always playing with kids half his age and acting so dependent on his mum especially. Parents teaching independence is not as effective as them learning it on their own.

I am a lady and i went toa boarding school alomg with my sisters and it was a learning experience for me
Romance › Re: Lady's Reply To "What Would You Do If Your Husband's Mum Slapped You?" by ImaIma1(f):
HazzanTazzan:
What if the wife called her mother a slut and she slapped her... there are very extreme things a wife can say to provoke her husband and a MIL...

No one is saying the slapping is right... But what if it was done based on a reaction to a very extreme statement made by the wife ...

Or you just don't care what the wife did? And whatever she did doesn't matter ?
But why do you guys imagine the worst from a wife? Why would she call her MIL a slut? Why don't you imagine the worst of your mum?

What could your mum do to your wife that would make her be called a slut? Or don't you think your mum is a human being that can provoke someone? Or she is given a free pass because she is elderly?

Slapping will still be termed as domestic violence and if reported, the MIL will face the law.
