NwaAmaikpe:

The security man is wicked and a coward...
See how he stylishly sneaked away. He deserves a very worded query for opening the gate to armed men, abandoning his duty post at a crucial point and not alerting his superiors. He was in the best position to engage the occupants of that car in a physical combat.
And he would have been celebrated if he died in the process....
But what do I know, Zenith Bank securitymen are only good in soliciting for tips. The bank security men are not usually armed. Their duty is to maintain order and coordinate people. It would be stupid of them to confront armed men and form James Bond. It's not part of their job description. Dont blame the man. He would have been caught in the line of fire for nothing. |

Reminded me of when i first joined this company and the culture was to call people by first name, even the MD/CEO. Omo mehn..it took time for me to adjust ooo but since thats the culture, i eventually adjusted.
In Nigeria, you will hear stuffs like Mama Brother Afeez because Afeez is way your senior and you cant call Mama Afeez to show respect for Afeez...funny Tradition Lolll... my neighbour tried to explain it to me. That as long as Afeez is older than you,you cannot call him by name even when addressing his mum. I was stunned. What?! |

trustyshoess: I find it ridiculous when people use superlatives like "most" when talking about a massive group of people especially when there isn't a study with facts and figures to back up the claim. Most of the Nigerian guys SHE has met have a bad body odour but that doesn't mean that most Nigerian guys have body odour. It's impossible for her to have met and personally smelt even a quarter of the men in Nigeria A lot of guys smell good. It doesnt cost much to smell good. This article is faulty. There are some guys that have bad smells off course as well as ladies. I met a guy that said he does not believe in using roll ons, sprays or perfumes. That he prefers his natural body smell. That natural body smell doesn't smeel too good. |
Romance › Re: If Love Is Not Enough For Marriage, What Is? by ImaIma1(f): 9:06pm On Jun 05, 2017 |
tobianthony: When it comes to marriage first things first you need to know yourself and you need to be painfully realistic with yourself .
Finances - very very key ... Ask your partner to write down at least five financial principles they believe in and practice . Nobody has enough money to do what they want all the time it's all about managing resources .
Spirituality - if you guys are not on the same level spiritually you need to resolve this .
Sexuality - everybody more than often cheats one way or the other ...do not let this bug you to the point of insanity just take it for what it is and respect boundaries . Make sure your partner is on the same level with you when it comes to sex . If you are a level 9 on the freak meter do not marry a level 5 or below . If you do be prepared to come down to her level or cheat .
Family - the average Nigerian woman expects you to take care of her family from time to time in one way or the other ...draw the line according to your capacity .
Life goals - Be clear about where you are going in life and see if they support you . if your partner is not an entrepreneur or more like a salary inclined person be careful and expose her to your world if it's the other way do the same . be open with your finances . Trust me the day you die you die you do not want her to start running around like a headless chicken looking for money .
Children - don't let anyone steamroll you into having children if you can't afford to ...we men need to stop this attitude of making babies we can't afford to feed . Make sure you are clear on how many kids you want and do not ...I repeat do not exceed that number . Three is the maximum .
Conflict resolution - make sure your partner is emotionally experienced and intelligent to say I'm sorry and move on . You must learn to forgive and forget . Your wife go do you many things that will make you want to run her over with your car and vice versa just forgive and do your best .
My dude it's an adventure many have entered and some failed while some people succeeded . Nobody has a perfect marriage .
If you think you are ready take your partner to justice Idowu's court at igbosherie Lagos high court and sit down and watch divorce proceedings and just note the mistakes that people make .
Even if you do all this still might not go according to plan .
Marriage is a Ponzi scheme and the best thing in life at the same time ...those who take advantage of the system will enjoy it .
All the best . Wow!! You have obviously attended marriage counselling...lol. But u missed out communication. |

Family › Re: 'it's Irresponsible For Married Men To Stay Out Late By 11pm'' - Nigerian Lady by ImaIma1(f): 12:09pm On Jun 05, 2017 |
FlirtyKaren: According to Facebook user, Victoria Onwuchekwa:
I don't think it's proper for a married man to be outside at 11pm in the night with the excuse that he is hanging out with his boys and he needs to de-stress. I don't know how some women tolerate it.....I can't.
Women stay at home after work even during weekends whether stressed or not...to be with their family. Since you have decided to be a Married man then you should act like one.
It's not only irresponsible but selfish and also very dangerous.
I know of men that went to hang out...were attacked when coming back and till today their wives haven't seen them. Some died through accident cause they drank and still drove and drove in the night for that matter.
The risk involved with night movement is too much. Once in a blue moon with permission from your wife...Yes but an everyday or occasional occurrence...its not acceptable at all...that is how extra marital affairs begin.
I don't know how some women do it o...I can't be in a marriage where it's only me that is living like a married person while my partner is still behaving like a bachelor.
Marriage comes with sacrifices, especially cutting off some social activities. If you can't do it then you have no business being married.
http://www.lailasblog.com/2017/06/not-proper-married-man-outside-home-11pm-nigerian-lady.html I don't think it is wrong for him to stay out till 11pm with his boys once in a while. I don't have a problem with it except it is a regular occurrence. Marriage is not a prison for both parties. It is a matter of understanding. Besides each marriage is peculiar...what works in mine might not work in yours. |

NwaAmaikpe:
NL members hate to read anything they consider lengthy.
And I wonder if there's any future for the Nigerian generation. Most of these people are students and undergraduates...they can't even read textbooks or handouts and that is why they 'block/sort' lecturers.
Back to the story....
89% of Nigerian women are opportunistic, they only stick around when the going is good...
If not why will a girl leave her university boyfriend who she dated for 4years in school just like that because someone who is ready for immediate marriage comes along.
What ever happened to true love, women? My lecturer used to say that guys should stop wasting their time dating their classmates. That if you are a 400L guy,ur wife is probably in 100L. A guy of 35 and a woman of 35 are not the same. A guy can decide to settle down at 35 and it will be ok. But at 35,a lady is already considered an old maid that should have had all her children. Even medically, ladies are at greater risk bearing children late. Dont mind all this my story. You sha understand what i mean |
