Romance › Re: Girls, How Easy Is It To Totally Love A Broke Guy? by ImaIma1(f): 10:36am On Jun 03, 2017 |
cooldood: I have said this before and I'd say it again. Guys face your hustle so the gal of your 'size' will follow you, stop coming on nairaland to argue with gals. For the umpteenth time, gals ain't wired to hustle like guys and so they naturally drift easily towards guys that can meet their needs, now needs are relative. Don't fight it, just double your hustle and cut your suit according to your size. There are beautiful gals across all levels, find your size if one rejects you. These gals are actually giving you clues on how to get them but here you are calling them all sorts of names. How will you feel if you tell people the type of sexy, beautiful gal you want and gals start calling you names too? The gals have spoken,if you like keep fighting it. Very true. What is the point of dating a "broke" guy? Who is a broke guy anyway? Is it a lazy or unambituous guy? Whether or nor we accept it,money is important in a relationship. When u love you give. The lady could be giving the guy from her earnings but for how long? There will be problems...his pride and ego will set in. And a poor man has bigger ego. And his love might be dependent on his situation. If he hits it and makes money, will he still love? Or he will forget all the suffering they both went through. I have concluded that it is not worth it especially when it's the kind of guy that is like a wall gecko...always at home. |

There is this obsession with men and their mums. I loved my mum a lot but I am a woman and i know how women can be manipulative when they want to have their way. It is even worse when the person they manipulate is their son because he feels indebted to her forever and ever. In an altercation between wife and mother(although i would never side a woman that can hit an elderly woman, mother inlaw or otherwise ) it is very important to treat it very sensitively. Both are women and are supposed to be important to you. You should even be the one to blame for being short sighted and foolish enough to marry the type of woman that would have the guts to hit your mother. So maybe you should beat yourself first before facing them. I still believe that issues between husband and wife should be settled without beating. |

Brugo: Hasty conclusion.
If you must infer anything at all you should notice that nairaland guys are quite touchy when it comes to their mothers. Most have said they'd overlook those reasons except one. Many guys would risk incarceration to protect the honour of their mothers.
Also, I believe it is quite simplistic (and unwise) to be so absolute enough to state that men should never hit their wives for any reason. Let naïve men post their lofty comments on self control. The day they meet the woman who would torment their souls, they'd sing a new tune. There is this obsession with men and their mums. I will still send my children to boarding schools. |

BeautyBaebee: yes, you heard me right! Forever Sex
I saw a post on front page about a girl asking for more than 2hours sex and Nigerians were bashing her. Some men were saying it is not possibleto sex for 2 hours without being on drugs or somthing
duuuh! says who? I have a friend who keeps complaining to me that Her Boyfriend can go forever in sex, he neva gets tired, he can do it 20 hours non stop..and the funny thing is that hes allergic to drugs or any form of enhancement. trust me, HE always have sex with her naturally.
He stops whenever the girl is tired and crying after 2,3 hours or more then he will have compassion on her and roll off. (smtyms with orgasm, smtyms without). After letting her rest 4 sm minutes, he will still ask 4 more.. If the girl question him on his performance, he will just say it is his nature.
They love each other sooo very much but to me, the relationship might not work as their Sexual life is not compatible.
My Questions Is the guy normal or suffering from some sort of disease? Is there anything he or she can do to make him cum quickly? Is there any possibility he might b cheating to satisfy himself elsewhere? Will d relationship last? (8 months relationship now) Is marriage built on Love or Sex?
Romancelanders pls answer these questions and help a Friend in need.

Christianity Etc › Re: My Pastor Ordered Me Out Of The Church During Sunday Service by ImaIma1(f): 12:03am On May 29, 2017 |
edidiongmichael: What Happened To Me On Sunday Service In Church
What's your candid view on this?
Recently I joined a church, I know how to play piano but not really well. The church has a standard pianist that plays literally on every church's event. When they discovered I knew how to play, they gave me the opportunity to be playing at least 2 times a month. Honestly, I didn't see myself as a church worker because I've never been to their meeting before. I only play when they tell me to otherwise I stay at the congregation. Last Sunday, I wore a shirt with a suit trouser and a sandals to church, then I wasn't expected to tuck in my shirt with a sandals. When I got to church, the pastor ordered me out of the church to tuck in before coming inside and instructed the ushers to not let me in until I tucked in my shirt. The church was still on and I got so ashamed and embarrassed. Everybody's eyes were on me during that time.
As confused as I was, I angrily left the church that moment to another nearby church.
Then I started thinking, Do we really have to tuck in our shirts to show how holy we are in church? What do you think had prompted the pastor to order me out? Do Christians have a dressing code? Will I be judged on the final day for letting loose my shirt to church? What's your view on this? And you came to NL to ask their view where you know pastors are condemned by a large percentage of people. Did you come her to get the truth or to get a pat on the back and to be congratulated? |

Family › Re: Men That Do House Chores For Their Wives (Photos) by ImaIma1(f): 8:12pm On May 26, 2017 |
CreamyMoltenLar: To be fair you're asking them to do something that will likely cause them ridicule from their peers, families and even members of the society. I remember reading a lady's comment once, where she said she walked in on her elder brother sweeping his house while his fiancée was sleeping and she was threatening to 'report' the issue to her mum. You need to see the way girls were insulting the guy and accusing the girl of witchcraft. It goes way beyond simply telling guys to change their mentality. The society itself scorns men caught doing domestic chores when there's a lady present. Have you ever looked at a guy and said "what are you doing in the kitchen?" or "heyah, you really need a wife so you can stop patronizing mamaput?" That's the ingrained notion that such things aren't manly coming to play. What if one day your man says you should relax and watch African Magic while he sweeps the house and cooks lunch and your church members pay you a surprise visit? I'm pretty sure you won't put your feet up and invite them to join you while your man 'slaves' away. Its a societal problem. I understand it will take more than a mindset change. I have enjoyed such treat ment but I do not take it for granted. May God help us all. |

Family › Re: Men That Do House Chores For Their Wives (Photos) by ImaIma1(f): 5:30pm On May 26, 2017 |
CreamyMoltenLar: Yes I would. There's nothing belittling about preparing food or cleaning one's environment. I don't understand why people have this backward mentality about chores. Yes, if I had my way I'd rather fix a light bulb or troubleshoot a computer malfunction or fix a car problem, but that doesn't mean I'm incapable of cooking or keeping a clean environment. Both sexes instinctively gravitate towards certain tasks and I guess doing 'female chores' is considered demeaning because we perceive all things feminine inferior to all things masculine. That's why a girl wouldn't be derided for wielding a spanner and getting grimy working under the hood of a car while her guy is busy watching movies, but the image of a man rolling amala while his wife watches telemundo is enough to induce trauma. I don't subscribe to the whole male supremacy crap, I believe everybody should do what they're most comfortable with. If the woman is a mechanical and technological guru and the guy is a wizard in the kitchen, then I say live and let live. Enough of this 13th century ignorance Who is this guy? If not that I am off the market, I would have gravitated towards your side. |
Travel › Re: How Hotel Attendants Scam Customers by ImaIma1(f): 5:14pm On May 26, 2017 |
mascot87: I will be very brief and I am sure we all can learn one or two things from this. I hope also that I construct this well. I do travel out of my location here in Lagos very well to other part of the country and it's normal that I get an hotel to lodge. On arrival to an affordable hotel, I pay for the hotel room and check in. Take my bath and relax a bit then I check the hotel menu list for breakfast, lunch or dinner as the case may be.
I do observe something for the past two years but didn't really take it serious not until when I travelled to Aba and Port Harcourt around March this year and same thing repeats itself.
After checking the menu list and the price of the food u want to eat. You call the restaurant and place your order but as soon as your order was delivered, the price is always more than what is on the menu list. Sometimes it could be has high as a thousand Naira.
I do pay all the time and didn't read any meaning to it but when I was at Aba around March, I protested when the same thing repeats itself and I said to myself that if such repeat itself anytime I travel and lodge in any hotel, I will only pay the charge as indicated on the menu list. Fast forward to today, I travelled to Abuja and as usual lodged at an hotel in town. Now this evening I ordered for my dinner at a fixed price on the menu list only for the price of my order to be far above what was written in the menu list. I told the lady that brought my dinner that I will only pay the cost of the dish in the menu list but she insisted that I will pay at #500 more than I was expected to pay giving me excuses that the price on the menu list was the old price.
I request to see the manager and within a second, she disappeared but I still went ahead to see the hotel manager but on my way, I met one of the hotel attendants who was listening to my argument with the lady and he told me that I shouldn't go to the manager cos there is nothing the manager can do and that they are working on the new price list but I ignored him. When I got to the hotel manager, i told him what happened and why customers cannot pay the exact cost of dish in the menu list but have to pay far more. He was suprised cos I saw the shock on his face. He sent for d lady that do serve dish for customer but not to expose her in my presence, he told me to go and I should pay the exact price on the menu list when she comes around to collect money.
When the lady later came around to collect the money, I saw the anger on her face which confirms my suspicion that those people generate income for themselves through such disgraceful means and it as become a common trend in some hotels (I don't want to generalize).
Don't know who else have noticed such but next time you lodge in an hotel and observe such, insist on paying the exact cost as seen on the menu price list.
I love honest people and sometimes give extra tips to them of some few cash even after rendering services to me but trying to play a fast one is a no no for me.
Let us be observant.
I think lalasticlala can also read this and add to his knowledge of snake Are u sure the extra charge is not room service? I thought they charge that |
Crime › Re: Young Man Killed By Angry Mob For Stabbing Woman To Death In Kogi. Graphic Pics by ImaIma1(f): 4:56pm On May 26, 2017 |
PrettyCrystal: A young man was killed on Thursday after allegedly stabbing an old woman to death in Ogaminana, Adavi local government area of Kogi state. According to a report by OgaWahab, the old woman on Wednesday evening, mistakenly poured water on the young man which she immediately apologised for.
But the young man on Thursday morning, returned to the woman's house, demanded to see her which the old woman's daughter in law told him the woman is yet to wake up from sleep but he insisted on seeing her. He then asked her to pour that same kolanut water on him again, but the woman said "it was a mistake my son."
Abdulmalik then stabbed her to death. He was, however, also killed at the spot by angry mob.
Source; http://www.nationalhelm.net/2017/05/young-man-killed-by-angry-mob-for.html He was probably brought up to see women as being beneath him and having no respect for the women folk even if it is a woman old enough to be his mother. |
