You christian are very bad! My mum destroyed my sis relationship with a good Muslim brother. cheesy funny enough if she bring anymatter to me I use to remind of her decision that were bad!

I hate religious bigot , they're all foolz . I was in a canteen some years back when one deeper life brother came to buy food and couldn't pay completely.

The guy sitting close to me with triple sag jeans paid the meal do the deeper life brother.

I just laugh , after everyone left I told the food seller , had it been the deeperlife brother was the one eating with a lot of money on him, while the triple sag guy was the one broke, the deeper life people I sabi will see it has a punishment from God.

Most of you bigot will commit a lot of sin unknowingly .
Whatever the case, my preference was a Christian because I am a Christian. I didn't want to complicate my life and children's life with religious diversity.

That is not to say that there are no worthy Muslim men.

I met this guy in my final year in school, we almost shared the same view in life, he possesed all the qualities I need in a man.

He's so caring, kind, handsome, a good pay Job n from a humble home, I can't deny the fact that I Love him.

But the issue is that he's a Muslim while am a christian lady.

Pls house does religion matters in marriage
I was in this situation once. Man of my dreams but muslim. I just badged in on him praying and it changed my mind. We won't be able to pray...agree in faith together.

It matters.

That would be wonderful. Men would sit all day watching football and chatting with their ex girlfriends; barking an occasional command at the houseboy. Maybe by midday, we can spend ten minutes boiling rice and about ten more minutes warming last week's stew. We can then branch off at ShopRite mall for a beer with our buddies before we go and pick up the kids from school, serve them the rice and stew, help them to do their assignments, watch more soccer until late evening when our wives come back from work, then demand for money for haircut, complain that our car needs to be serviced and the tyre changed, ask them to change the burnt light bulbs, and check the kitchen plumbing. They can then go and put oil into the generator and switch it on before we go to sleep. If our wives ask for sex, we will claim we have been working all day and are tired.

I can't keep them for myself but I don't fear them. My neighbour's son has about 6 of them. My only concern is them crying by my window at midnight and disturbing my sleep.

Imagine me waking up to a cat crying and I raise my head and see it just sitted on the net of the window. I chased it away.

Some people cannot think beyond their favourite "simp" idea. Any little thing, "he is a simp". Like they don't know any other word or their mind cannot accommodate anything apart from it. It's a pity.

And these are people that have not achieved even 1/12 of what the people they are labelling have achieved.

nops . Iz just dat as a psychology in masters holder, I know how people think at every point in time. All pastors at some point, studied or Will study psychology. These pastors are hiding the real truth from Bible that God wants everyone to be aware of ,since it doesn't support miracle and prosperity teaching....and they need thithes, offering, seed sowing e.t.c from their followers.
Sometimes education is a barrier when it comes to serving God or understanding spiritual things. We think we can explain everything logically with premises and conclusions.

God cannot be confined to your knowledge. Even medical practitioners cannot explain everything when it comes to human life. They are aware of a higher power that can chanhe things that medicine cannot.

So take it easy.

If no, then I'm sorry to say your marriage will not last.

Parent's blessings are very important in a marriage.
Very wrong. Especially when the parents reasons are selfish and baseless.

I'm sorry but none of that makes any sense. What you've done there is make the MIL out to be the victim when she isn't.

1. The brother was right to have recorded the mother because it would've been difficult for the OP to believe him without that proof. I reckon the OP is aware the mother didn't like his wife before this situation but he would've still had difficulty believing she would make such statement towards his wife, especially after losing her baby.

2. I doubt the brother set out to record the mother for any ill intention. He was probably pressing his phone at the time and for him to have gotten those words recorded meant the mother must've said them a couple of times beforehand /before he started recording.

3. He (the brother) was likely in shock himself at what he was hearing their mother say, hence the need for him to record her, kinda like, "Did she just say that?".

Idk why you're blaming the brother when he did absolutely nothing wrong. I bet if the mother had said she wanted to kill the wife, you would still blame the brother for recording her. The brother is not the problem here at all.

When I was a teenager I had an Italian neighbour who kept having miscarriages. The husband's mom would sometimes visit and I would see her embrace the wife and they would gist outside. I actually didn't know about the miscarriages until the wife told me. She ended up giving birth towards the end of that year. I'm just recalling this story because the MIL never showed any animosity towards the wife, ever, and because what any loving MIL should do in this situation or least upon hearing about the wife losing her baby, is to ask how she's doing and feeling, if she needs anything ― anything to console the woman ― not utter such hateful words. As a woman herself, she should've known better.

Yes, the mother should've apologized to OP. Idk why that's even up for debate. Her refusal to do so shows she isn't remorseful and that this was an intentional statement. It takes a hateful heart to wish someone dead, especially after such a traumatic experience. It's like kicking someone when they're down, which is no surprise because according to her own words, "she is not an hypocrite, she never like my wife and she can't pretend".
The Nigerian respect factor will come in here; parents cannot be wrong and cannot apologize to their children. That is what they will use to cover it up.

First of all.. I am really sorry about you loss and the whole pain.

But do you actually realize that the real harm came from your brother!.
You ought to disown him if at all you want to disown anyone.
Your mother on receiving the news has two blows... One loosing her grandchild and two knowing the pain her son was in.
People can say allot of things in pain and shock!
I habe actually heard people say thebwishbitbwas their father that died when their mother died.
That was really very wrong of your brother.
I wonder how sorry he felt for you and how pained he was at your loss that he had the mind to tape that conversation and then go back to you to play it to you.
Was it right to confront you with that added pain?
It's obvious that your brother has no love lost for your mother!
It was very wrong of him.
When you confronted your mother on the phone what did you expect?
An apology? You know that parents aren't used to apologising and secondly her apology at that stage wouldn't have meant anything to you.
It was the will of God to take your child back home. The ways of God are not known to man.
In your pain it seems better to feel anger than hurt. I guess anger makes us feel the pain less.
But if your wife is aware of what happened she will only be hurting the more.
Please give yourself and your wife the time to heal and don't project your anger on a mother who lives you but said something stupid.
That your mother does not like your wife could have reasons..
Now you knew this all along but you omitted to correct that issue.
It is often the case that mothers are extremely jealous of loosing their sons to another woman.
May God give you the strength and wisdom to solve this issue
Not enough to wish her dead. If it were the wife that wished her MIL dead, I doubt you will make excuses for her.

You caused it from beginning . You thought you could help them financially. Humans are insatiable. My advice . Stop giving them money. Your wife is responsible to her family. You are responsible to your family. If there are special needs like medical, you can provide specific for them.
That is my point. Some families believe that once their sister/daughter gets married, the husband has to adopt her family and take over all their responsibilities. This is wrong. They want to live off the man because he happens to have some money.

A good wife will advise her husband not to indulge them and make them dependent on him. Whatever she has at any point, she can give them but make them understand that her husband doesn't owe them.

Your parents in law become your parents as well and there's nothing wrong with sending them monthly stipends.

If you're buoyant enough to do it, there's absolutely nothing wrong in it.

I just don't believe it should be an obligation or that the in laws should feel entitled to it.
Yeah they do. But we should know our responsibilities to avoid people being entitled. Once you start something, they see it as their right. But when you do it once in a while, it is appreciated. They become our parents but they have children meant to care for them. The man also has his parents to care for.

The fact that someone is buoyant doesn't mean they should spend anyhow. For me, I don't believe in a man giving his FIL a stipend. The father inlaw collected bride price and all the requirements for the marriage. Should his son inlaw also be his pension plan?
