Family › Re: Why Do Most Men Die In Families And Marriages? by ImaIma1(f): 6:46pm On Feb 27, 2021
yeyeosoronga:
They die earlier because
1. Health seeking behaviour- they avoid hospitals and Drs as much as possible till it's late, unlike women who also take their children to hospital quickly. Women tend to over estimate risks while men tend to underestimate
2. They take bigger risks like drive like maniacs disobeying traffic rules and causing accidents, drink driving after 10 bottles of alcohol and still getting on the wheels ( road safety will confirm this, and the ratio of their offenders favour males)
3. they are more violent eg like stabbing bottles on themselves over woman matter, fighting with cutlass over land matter. Thanks to testosterone, I guess
4. When they are tired of life, they actually are successful with suicide and will just do it like Nike swoosh, unlike women who are more attention seeking and would just hurt themselves but not kill themselves
5. Men have a higher risk for cardiovascular diseases like hypertension, heart attacks because estrogen in women confers some protection, while good ol' testosterone increases the levels of bad cholesterol in the body
6. They take up riskier jobs like military, construction, armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism etc.
7. Etc

Those are proven stats up there, and not some beer parlour gists of men working so hard to cater for their family hence die earlier. Women do more and still live longer.
Very well said. Bad choices and reckless living.

Op was subtly trying to put the blame on women. According to him, men in marriages, relationships and not exactly the single ones without women in their lives.

Romanoff:
It's your wife you have to talk to.

Set boundaries to her. Tell her if you choose to support her dad, it's out of the goodness of your heart and not an obligation.

Tell her how much you're willing to part with for her dad every month for upkeep and let her know that she or her family must not ask you for a dime else, she'd be ruining her marriage.

Ask her if it's her wish for her older brother to keep being jobless or if she's willing to support his irresponsible life style cause you don't plan to support him.

Tell her it's time to choose between building her home or going back to her father's house.
I don't believe it's his job to send monthly stipend to his father inlaw. He can send him money as a gift once in a while. The man has his own children who are meant to do that. And I guess the op has parents too.
Science/Technology › Re: Pictures Of Mars Released By NASA by ImaIma1(f): 5:30pm On Feb 26, 2021
saaron:
Bunch of CGI pictures. They're all fake. No man made object can land on the moon talkmore of mars. The earth is an enclosed system. Nothing comes in, nothing goes out. Yes Nasa's claimed Apollo moon landing NEVER happened! It was staged.
Stars like mars are embeded outwards on the glass ceiling covering the entire earth.

Modified
To those quoting me, you're free to believe what Nasa want you to believe. I know what I know.
You know what you know based on books you have read that were written by others. Have you explored like these people have? It is not enough to sit in your room and discredit their work with only "I know what I know". What do you know?

Career › Re: What Made You Resign From A Job? by ImaIma1(f): 11:35am On Feb 26, 2021
I left because I was being micro managed. Plus everyone would come and chook mouth on how I should do my job including the boss's wife and family members.

Another one I left because the boss was a slave driver and used to talk down on people. I couldn't even deal. If you just talk down on me, I make you understand that it is not standard practice and should not be so.

2) As soon as you begin to consider the possibility of being married to the person you're dating.

Proposal and marriage no dey run.

Honestly. If you stays in Lagos. You’ll understand what am talking sis. Even if you check those pure water inside coolers in shops. You’ll see a leaked pure water of about 2month on top of the cooler. It’s simply meant to display market.
We are not talking about the ones being displayed as sample, not be sold. We are talking about products displayed on the shelves or on promo to be sold. I stay in Lagos and I know what I am saying. People sell expired things.

So when he kneels to propose, you tell him to wait while you go pray first before coming back to say yes or no?

Or at what point are you supposed to do the praying?

It’s just for display na. These guys should take a chill pill. That’s one thing I don’t like in Lagos. The government agencies overdo things. Just as one agency came down to my axis few days ago and were charging a house owner for improper electrical wiring. Damn. I love the man’s approach though. And now at ogba: those products might jus never there for adverts and display. But these agencies will love to cash out first.
Just for display? When it is displayed, it is to be bought by unsuspecting customers. These shops don't want to incure loss and they wickedly put put people at risk by selling expired products.
Family › Re: Blessing Oko Ikpor: Bank Manager Husband In ‘Secret’ Wedding Saga In Rivers by ImaIma1(f): 7:13am On Feb 26, 2021
trailblazar:
Marriage demands a lot from both sexes. Many men cannot, do not, and will not sacrifice their sexual satisfaction on the altar of having offspring. Sexual Satisfaction ranks very highly in many men. As a woman if you cannot estimate a man's libido then do not settle. You will probably be settling down for future trouble. A man that sees sex as a gratification that can be delayed is a very rare man indeed. Act like a woman, think like a man is easier sung than done
In other words, the man is free of blame and justified since his sexual satisfaction is his folly, it controls him. While the women are to carry all the blame.

In the first place, what will a single lady doing with a married man if she's not so desperate and hungry to destroy a home?
You do know what it will mean for children coming from such homes and the society at large.
Build yours and resist to destroy what others have built.
What will a married man with 4kids be doing chasing a single lady when he has a wife?

Have you looked at it from that angle? Or is the man without blame?

What real story, you women should close your legs.
No point joining issues with a narrow-minded chauvinist that will only see wrong in one sex and be blinded towards the faults of the other.

People that have no business getting married just jump into it for flimsy reasons.

For every 9 men complaining about their marriages, there are 9 others thanking God that they married right.

The result of our choices are waiting for us in front.

I'm not a catholic but I don't see anything wrong in that....best man role is usually for a single guy and most catholic priests are single.
Married people too act as best man and maid of honour. You don't have to be single.

It could be possible. My heartbreak never lasted long. I would cry hard for 4 days and listen to all the heartbreak songs and reminisce. After two weeks, that person has been purged from my system.

Romance › Re: The Number One Reason For Heartbreak and how to prevent it. by ImaIma1(f):
We might tell our hearts not to love too deeply so that we can dust ourselves and move on quickly when the need arises. But does the heart always listen? I don't think so

While we are busy falling and loving, the heartbreak just takes us unawares. At that point, some move on quickly while some are too hurt to let go. It is what it is.

Recently you've been talking a lot of nonsense. I'm sure you don't have a child that's why you can just say whatever.

It takes but a min for children to dissappear. She could be pooing or bathing or. Whatever.there no bulgary or net there

Don't sit down there and judge.
If that child had fallen and died, no one will care that she was pooing or just took her eyes for one second, including the mother herself. There will be regret on why she didn't take better precautions.

Children can be very fast especially when it comes to exploring or doing what they shouldn't.

on a curious note, are you saying the reason NL guyz bash ladies here is becos they're disrespectful wink
They bash ladies because they are prejudiced towards them, because they have preconceived notions, because they feel the ladies are inferior to them. They go about with this overestimation of themselves. And they seem to check for the sex of someone before they quote the person and dish out belittling words if it is a woman.

I just feel it is out of some complex and insecurity from their part. They feel lifted up putting women down, and that is sick.

I am curious to know your moniker. Pray tell.
