Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Thousands Of Churches Differ In Doctrine Yet They Read The Bible - Freeze by InvertedHammer: 6:03am On Jan 11, 2018

Why has Freeze chosen to make himself the accuser of the brethren?
A person's understanding of any book is dependent on several factors. Every student cannot get the same score in an exam even if they read the same textbook. No two children of the same father has the same DNA.
At the end of the day what we consider and fight for as most important (tithes, G.O, denomination etc) may be completely different from what God looks at in judging who is fit for the kingdom and who's not
.
/

That is the confusion he is pointing out. So it is human misguided interpretations and not God's will all these while.

Who decides which doctrine is right?

E be like say there is something about being 'a school drop out' in advance countries. In Africa, you automatically become a street urchin in most cases.
Africans especially Nigerians do not understand education. The main yardstick for measuring the quality of education in Nigerian remains one's ability to read and speak impeccable English. Great nations like China, Germany, France, etc do not speak English. Britain taught English to Nigerians to bridge the communication gap while Nigerians turn around to make it the center point of education. Engineers turned technicians, doctors turned technicians, lawyers that cannot write ordinary contracts. Yet everyone speaks English well.
The foundation is weak. Throw in sick government and conniving religious leaders who sell miracles and picking calls, then you get a perfect stagnant nation.

Why would a graduate in Nigeria be poor? It is mental laziness. Bible is not that expensive. Buy a bible, sharpen your tongue and there are unlimited supply of people who
will feed you and your family forever. And the most beautiful part is that they give willingly and happily.

It may seem like IPOB is having the last laugh.
Buhari was able to convince the zombies that Fulani herdsmen are mere criminals and they welcomed them with open hands.

Believe Buhari and Lai Mohammed at your own peril.
Taraba, Borno and Benue indigenes are now paying for their gullibility with their blood.

It is too late for the dead to listen to IPOB.

TribesNG:
Daddy Freeze as you all know him is popular on this "tithe" payment issue and is specifically calling out Adeboye and RCCG on the tithe issue. Late last year we saw a video shared by Freeze himself that shows Popular Nigerian Pastor, TB Joshua supporting his comment on the to tithing issue where he said "it is better to give to the poor than to pay tithe".

Have we all forgotten about TB Joshua's 2016 Prophesy About Hillary Clinton winning the Election? Why is daddy freeze not attacking TB Joshua as being fake and deceiving Nigerians?

Because TB Joshua shows he helps the needy doesn't mean Those not showing it are not helping the needy. If you ask me, I'll prefer being prayed for to Prosper than to receive #200k or #500k to help myself in this country. And You all know TB Joshua Video tape each and everyone he helps, Whether you're a president or not, or a man who was rich before or not. Even if Dangote becomes broke he'll still decide to let the world knows that he helped him.

Come to think of it, When Jim Iyke gave his reasons for appearing on Emmanuel TV, Daddy Freeze didn't react. But if it is someone who was unknown said the same thing about RCCG, he would be the first to react.

Please Nairalanders what do u have to say about this?
It is funny how you sit at home and point out your expectations.

Freeze has picked his marks. You can pick on others.
Does Freeze owe you any explanation?

Do you think all the 30+ single ladies had not been dating? They were waiting for the perfect time that never happened. Then they end up in Shiloh.

Abiola was no saint. He was a friend of the military, was a past sponsor of coups, a conduit pipe for corruption etc etc but the issue I mean isn't really about him as a person or whether he would have succeeded (though I think he would have done well). Abiola's victory was quashed because he was a southerner. The June 12 elections would have been the first time a southerner would have been elected president.

It divided Nigeria very badly between north and south and led to a lot of bitterness and tribal jingoism. OPC is an offshoot of that crisis
True.

But the aftermath was that a Southerner OBJ was handed the Presidency on a platter of gold through an election.
He still failed woefully. And here we are today.
GEJ won an election even though he is a Southerner as well. I believe there is more to it that region of origin. It is a class war between the elites and commoners. The elites are united by lootocracy while the commoners find solace in wailing (after selling their voting rights for N1k and a few cups of rice).

Abiola would have been equally as bad as every Nigerian President. What trumps 1). An ex-President supposedly humbled by jail. 2). A peasant with no shoes 3). A meek man with no sentimental attachment to materialism 4).A weeping General that tried multiple times in order to fight corruption in Nigeria.

Their stories were uplifting but they all failed as Presidents. Abiola's narratives wouldn't had been any different. It would have been a litany of broken promises. He was a member of the cabal that'd been milking Nigeria dry. Imagine what would have been said of PMB if he dropped dead during 2015 election. Some would say that he was meant to be the messaiah that Nigeria never had. Oh well, reality gives hard knocks.

Romance › Re: How I Caught My Cheating Fiancee During The Christmas Holiday by InvertedHammer: 2:24am On Jan 08, 2018
wisdomguy4u:
My fellow nairalanders, pls you guys should follow me digest this my matter. Una fit learn one or two things.

Around 23rd of Dec 2017, i travelled from benin to my hometown in Anambra state for the Christmas holiday. While on the way i called my fiancee who stays in Onitsha with her parents, i asked her if we could lodge in a hotel when i get to onitsha so i can continue my journey to my hometown the next day. She told me she can't sleepover as her parents won't let her ( as she was expected to cook the next day). So we agreed that when i get to onitsha i will come pick her up and drop her back in the evening.

So when i got to onitsha i went straight to her house. And with the permission of parents , i went out with her (her parents
knows me ).

We went to a nice hotel in onitsha where i booked a room #9,500 (lodging). We relaxed have some drinks and food. We talked about how our wedding will be. I wanted the wedding to hold around June this year , but she wanted it early. We had a nice time together as it has been months since we haven't seen.

After some hours together, she said she has to go as her parents would be expecting her. I told her i will drop her and from there head to my hometown. She asked me what about the room i paid for lodging... i told her that we would have to return the key as i cannot sleepover in the room all alone when i know i can still reach my hometown if i leave now. As a smart girl (which she feels she is), she told me that if the hotel workers finds out that I'm leaving, they would just put someone else in the room and pocket the money to themselves (in my mind then i was like that's their luck then).

As we were about to leave the room , i wanted to return the key, but she suggested i leave the key inside the room and just jam the door so they wouldn't know that we have left until the next day. I asked her why didnt she want the workers to make gain from it; she said the workers didn't attend to us well, that they were forming big girls. I did as she suggested,  jammed the door and we left. I dropped her up in her street and left immediately for my hometown (that was around 6:00pm).

While on route to my hometown i met a heavy traffic jammed around nkpor junction. After an hour or so in traffic, i decided to go back to the hotel and spend the night , and continue my journey on the early morning of the next day, so as to bypass the traffic.

When i got to the hotel (around 8pm) , i walked straight to the room i earlier booked. But when i tried to open the door...i found out that it was locked. Angrily,  i walked down to query the receptionist on why she should put someone else in the room when i never told her that I'm done with it.

But to my astonishment,  she told me she didn't give the room out to anybody. She called one of the security guard to accompany us to the room to find out who the intruder is.

When we got the door, the receptionist knocked . A young boy on his underpants opened the door and asked what the matter was. The receiptionist asked to find out when and how he got the room. The young boy went in and brought out the receipt of payment bearing my name .

At that moment i sensed what could be up, so i pushed the door open and got in, nobody was in the room . i tried to open the bathroom, and noticed it was locked from the inside (In my mind i prayed to God let it not be what I'm thinking).

After several knock on the bathroom door, the person behind the door finally opened it. Behold it was my fiancee (ex-fiancee now).  I was shocked .

I was so furious that i felt like giving her a sound slap. She was just crying and couldn't say a word (what would she say? She was caught in the act). I called her mother that night to inform her of what happen, she was shocked too. She said she call her on phone and told her she would be spending the night with me as we were setting plans for our upcoming wedding.

Some girls have fish brain, you met a guy who love you and even got engaged with you. But yet you still mess around with your street boys who couldn't afford to pay for a hotel room or even get his own apartment. This should be a lesson to you girls.

As i enter the new year , i enter with the watchword "trust no woman , fear every woman".  In this new year , may we find our true love. Fake love will not be our portion.

Come to think of it...

9 months from now you could be doing child dedication of that dude's kid. All should embrace DNA test. What's love got to do with it?

LOL. Go for Thanksgiving for dodging a bullet.

And the traffic jam? Some disappointment are blessings in disguise.

I believe that the God that created Africans are different from the ones that created the rest of the world. Other races have used science and technology to make life worth living on earth. But Africans especially Nigerians are so hopeless about life on earth that they take solace in preparing for afterlife which explains why corruption, ailment, disease and other indices of poverty is domiciled in that God forsaken continent.

Other races lead while Africans are comfortable at the bottom of the barrel. The saddest part is that Africa is home to all the natural resources that other races need to survive. But like morons, they cannot adequately evaluate these resources until other races assign value to them. Very pathetic.

Family › Re: My Marriage Has Finally Ended by InvertedHammer: 6:51am On Jan 06, 2018
kunleajaye:
Hello peeps. It's with a heavy heart that I have to say that my marriage is on it's last legs(or so I think). Sometimes last year I made a post asking for advice and things actually got a bit better afterwards (https://www.nairaland.com/3415462/dont-feel-attracted-wife-anymore), but alas, it didn't last.

My wife returned to her cold self and it just went downhill from there. We started arguing again over the tiniest of reasons. Some of the reasons for our petty arguements was the issue of her engrossing herself in school activities that sometimes took her attention from home duties. I told her a couple of times that i wasn't against her doing things like what she did and wasn't in the way of her achieving her desires and goals, but she shouldn't forget she's a mother and wife and one of her primary duties is her family. Sometimes she'd spend so much time in one fruitless meeting or the other, and when she gets home, she'll be too tired to do anything. It got to a point I had to do alot of cooking for the house so that the kids won't be hungry. It's not that she didn't do her duties. It's just the inconvenience of it all and the way her outside activities affected us that really got to me.

Another thing that got on my nerves was her attitude to her degree. Agreed, with all the things she did, she still maintained a very good GPA and was one of the best students in her department. Her lecturers would at times request she take their classes for them while they attended to other pressing issues. It was a good thing and i felt proud, but in her mind the main thing she wanted to do was business. Buying and selling like she did when we first got here and before she started school. She wanted to set up a store where she'd import and sell african prints. There were days during the summer when I'd plan on doing Uber to supplement the little I brought in as a paycheck, only for her to tell me she'd registered for one event or another to display her wares. I'll just have to stay back at home with the kids till she returned later in the night. It really did get me upset and I once asked her what the point of the degree she had studied for if all she wanted to do was sit in a store and sell stuff? We had this argument several times on end.

What eventually broke the camel's back was something she said that I'll never forgive her for. One evening, after putting the kids to bed, she approached me and said she wanted to apply for a loan. I asked her what she needed the loan for. She said for her shop. How much does she need? Ten thousand dollars. How does she expect to apply for ten thousand dollars when we have no way of paying back? Besides, where does she expect me to get the collateral from? She said someone would stand in for her. I told her I don't support the idea and she should be patient. At least after her graduation, she would be able to work full time and earn a better pay which she could then channel to doing whatever she wanted. She said no. She doesn't want to work, but sell her stuff. We started bickering back and forth about this cos I was already fed up of the whole issue, and at some point she screamed, saying I do not support her as a husband, and maybe she would have been better off marrying Awwal.

***
Awwal was another guy who fancied her when we met during our youth service in camp; she had once told me that back then she loved him as much as she loved me, and if she had to choose, she would have picked him instead of me. I asked her why she then chose me, and she said her late mother had advised her "don't make a future husband into an ordinary boyfriend, and don't make an ordinary boyfriend into a husband." In other words, don't confuse lust for love.
***

She realized what she said and immediately began to apologize. I don't know how I kept my cool, and I walked away quietly. It only got worse after then. We no longer talked liked we once did apart from the necessary exchanges. I let her do whatever pleased her. Our arguements continued and sometimes we wont speak for days. I started keeping late nights, staying more in the lab after school or sometimes driving to a bar to drown my sorrows. I tried getting a marriage counselor, but the damage had already been done. Our sex life became virtually non-existent. We just remained together because of the kids.

A man has needs, and if he wasn't getting them at home, he'd start looking outside. I'm not proud to say this, but during some of my late nights out, I'd visit a discrete gentleman's club. It was on one of these outings I met one of the girls who danced there. She was a young college kid in her junior year. Over the next week or so she gave me a listening ear and I poured my heart out to her. She invited me over to her place one evening (she shared a three bedroom house with two other girls), one thing led to another and she was giving me a full n@ked massage with her body. We didn't have penetrative sex, but she gave me the sexual release my wife had denied me for such a long time. I offered to pay for her services afterwards, but she told me not to, as it was just her way of showing she cared. We ended up making similar arrangements a few more times, and each time we took it a bit further. The furthest we went was the time we had a 69 on her bed, and she came all over my face while I splooged her mouth. I always had to wipe myself off properly and take a shower once I got home to rid of all the oil and smell of pheromones on my person.

I guess my wife suspected something was going on cos she asked me one day if i had been seeing anyone. I asked her why she asked, and she shrugged, murmuring something to the fact that it was unusual of me not to have disturbed her for sex in such a very long time. I told her since she had decided to control when and the frequency we had sex, I had accepted my plight. I told her if she wanted sex, she knew where to find me. That night, I woke up to her snuggling up to me. It was the first time in a long while she would come to me. Try as much as I could, I just couldn't achieve an erection. My time with the stripper girl had taken away the sexual affection I had for my wife. She noticed this and started crying, saying i don't love her anymore. I simply told her it was just the stress. The following day, she was back to her normal self.

Last month, she finally graduated. I was happy that at least she would get a place to work and earn some money. But what she told me a few days later came as a shocker. She told me she wanted to go back to Nigeria. Her plan was to fulfill her dream of setting up a clothings line and since i don't want to support her, she'd rather go on without my support. I asked her if she was joking, but i could see she was dead serious. I asked who would take care of the kids if she leaves, and she said she intends going with them. infact, she had already told her sister to start looking for a nice school for them at home. I just couldn't believe it. Why make that kinda decision without consulting me first? She just told me her mind was made up. I tried changing her mind, but she remained adamant. Unknown to me, she had already booked their flight back home a long time ago. I had to call my parents to talk some sense into her, but afterwards they just told me to let her come home, that she may just need the change of environment for a while. I called and asked her sister why she didn't tell me about the plan knowing how close we were, but she simply said it was her sister's decision.

They left two days after Christmas. To date I'm yet to receive a call from her. I've sent her several emails but she hasn't responded to even one. She told my mum she hasn't had the chance to get a line yet, but I know that's a lie. It doesn't take you more than a week to get a phone and a line in Nigeria. Sadly, I may have to accept the conclusion that my marriage is over.
/

Let her go.

Find time to go and do thanksgiving in a church.
Try to force yourself back into her life? She may use knife while you sleep. Don't be a victim.

The decision she took is not drastic; it was well-planned out.

Persecution did not deter the disciples and apostles from spreading the gospel.

So your pastors are in it for money only. The road to salvation is not littered with milk, honey and comfort. So the use of private jets for missionary journey is just for the comfort. Statsocial:
The Faith theatre 100,000 Stadium-like Auditorium which was designed by Students/Graduates of Covenant University has now been TEMPORARILY put on Hold as the Church waits for clear Divine Instructions on the matter. According to Bishop Oyedepo, God hasn't given a "go ahead" for the Construction to begin.

About 1,000 Hectares of Land had been initially reserved for the project at Canaancity and the Project reportedly ought to have run for Three years maximum and commissioned in 2019.

Right now, according to Leke Beecroft, the Church would now focus on expanding Faith Tabernacle(50,000) to accommodate hundreds of thousands of Worshippers. According to 2015 statistics Canaanland currently hosts about 400,000 people per Sunday over several Services-hence it is imperative to either build a new structure or expand the Faith Tabernacle.

What a bunch of losers!

Buhari should come down from Aso Rock to defend you suckers?

If they cannot defend themselves, they deserve what comes to them.

How can a few Fulani herdsmen run over a whole town and all the able-bodied men are sitting ducks waiting to be slaughtered?
They will wait till eternity and Buhari ain't gonna do squat.

Until they take proactive steps to defend themselves or better, be on the offensive against the marauders, then
they will continue to end up 6 feet under.
