I think a married woman should not have to work. Your wife stands to be treated as a subordinate and even disrespected by her bosses. Some may try to make advances. A man should make enough money to a point that his wife does not have to work too.

You're point of view---no offense---is not realistic. As the standard of living becomes higher and higher and salaries aren't matching up, it's becoming a necessity to have a two-income household. Moreover, did you ever consider that maybe your spouse might not want to be a stay-at-home parent? A lot of men and women gain satisfaction from being contributing members to society and being able to have a role beyond just being a parent or spouse.

What's the point of being in a relationship when people are going to behave this way? Smh.

It takes a lot for an African to win a Grammy award. There are very limited categories for African artistes and only a very unique and revolutionary artiste can bag a Grammy. American artistes can get away with singing cliche songs but not an African artistes.


Here are the reasons why Davido will never win a Grammy.


1. He only sings about sex, women and money. Compare that with burna boys songs that bite deep into issues ailing Africans and paints a very artistic representation of the typical Nigerian society; our culture, attitudes and lifestyle, with his music.

2. There is no revolutionary or powerful message in Davido's songs.

3. His songs don't really cut across genres. He only sings the same stale afrobeat songs that thousands of artistes are singing. Only that he does it better.

I think artistes like Fireboy, Rema and Omah lay will win a Grammy before Davido.

There are many factors why women might choose(yes, out of their own volition) in such marriages and societal expectations does not top it.
One major reason is financial dependence, another is because it's not always easy for divorced women to get married especially if said women are older (this proves to be consistent in all societies, even the wokest. It's just one of those differences that readily exist between gender). This doesn't make it alright though, but it is what it is.

Of course, you can. People do all sorts of terrible things to the people they love. But the issue is that people and this topic are focusing on love when that is not the problem. Cheating stems from a lack of respect and regard for your partner and the relationship.

Generally speaking, women are encouraged to forgive because Nigerian society expects women to stay in a relationship/marriage no matter what. Men, on the other hand, are not given that same expectation but are permitted to leave or "send the woman back to her father's house." Most will deny it but this is the way they reason.

Edit: I wanted to expand. Love is the feeling. Respect is the rule, meaning that when one enters into a relationship with another, they are agreeing to the rule: to be faithful and forsake others for that person. When one chooses to cheat, they are breaking that rule and therefore demonstrating their lack of respect for their significant other.

Some of the excuses the men are making for cheating should clearly show you their lack of accountability on this topic, OP.
