ShowYourCertificate: Buhari's victory is not a popular mandate. He never secured massive votes from Nigerians. He failed woefully in the South East (couldn't even secure 25% votes there), failed woefully in the South South and won only marginally in the South West. He never got any massive votes from the South, infact he lost in the South. SO THAT MEANS IT IS GOODLUCK JONATHAN THAT WON MASSIVELY IN ALL THE SIX GOEPOLITICAL ZONES! |

bushdoc9919: Federal universities cannot do as well as covenant because they are not well funded.
After all...when you pay N45,000 per annum...you get a N45,000 education. When you pay N500000 per annum...naturally the quality goes up
If you want your federal unis to do well....pay higher fees for good facilities, and even better lecturers. Or get your government to find an extra N10 trillion naira in the next few years. Its not true bro. When a student pays N45,000 in federal university, it just means the government pays N455,000 if you think N500,000 is the ideal school fees in Nigerian universities. |

mikeansy: Once again Buhari is making ground sweeping statements he can not implement in reality
The Federal character law written into our constitution requires Ministers to cut across the Federation. What if certain states the ministerial nominees Buhari have to work with all defected from PDP? What will Buhari do?
Government is a continuum and for the progress of Nigeria there is nothing wrong retaining so Ministers. I think Olusegun Aganga is doing a fine job and should be retained to continue the diversification of our economy @mikeansy you are a m0r0n. No wonder you and your likes are so backward. Who will nominate the ministers for GMB? For your info, the APC caucus had been ring-fenced since before the election. No one can break into it, at least for now, until sometimes when the government and the APC is sufficiently stabilized. Once more, for your info, no one from outside will dictate any person for appointment to GMB. GMB will dictate those who will work with him and for him. |

Buhari is not an example of a committed party member he has jumped ship three times in his 13 yrs political history. He is not a yard stick nor a model of loyalty to any political party.
I will not be surprised if he joins a different party or forms a new alliance for the 2019 presidential election once the nascent union of strange bedfellows called APC disintegrate over the looming unchecked party chieftain egos that is already haunting the flickering union. falseman: Those figures are true. You can also check the one for previous years. I feel bad we all hold federal government responsible while the real thieves who are the governors are neglected. Each state get their allocation every year now for a state like Delta you multiply that by 8 years then you find out half of that money is likely to be missing. My friend, you are too shallow and myopic on this case. Ad all the allocations to the states and local governments it is NOT up to what the federal government allocates to herself. Now note that the federal government has no land area or people associated with them, safe civil servants and some specific property within the states. Even FCT collects one of the highest allocations amongst the states. Federal government is the biggest culprit in this scam called revenue allocation. Be wise. |

Litmus: It will be interesting to see if Buhari compels the military to free these so-called Journalists. Of course the journalists could be freed due to pressure from Buhari in a way that hides the fact but I'm not a fan of those paradoxes whose purpose is to justify our purpose.
An example of a paradox that justifies our purpose is the one from which neither Johnathan or the North was able to escape leading up to the election and which still persists now. This is how it persists - if Bokoharam continues to wreck havoc in the North, Johnathan supporters will argue that, Buhari and the North want to keep up the terrorism for a short time longer just so it wont look suspicious that they are the ones sponsoring Bokoharam. On the other hand, supporters of Buharri will argue that the terrorism continues because Johnathan is the sponsors of Bokoharam and wants to destroy the north and Buhari's reputation. If the terrorism ends, Johnathan supporters will argue that Buhari ended it because he had the power to as their sponsors.
The upshot is, Buhari should not intervene, let the military do their job. If Buhari intervenes he'll rightly be viewed as a puppet of outside powers and Nigerians should be sure that we're in trouble as a nation. If the military frees the journalists we should not accuse Buhari of applying pressure unless there's irrefutable evidence. Who told you Buhari wants to intervene? In what capacity dou you think Buhari should contemplate intervening? Is Buhari now the judge during on this case? Your ranting is as in coherent as what you want to insinuate. Leave Buhari out of this matter. When he assume the position of president of the federal republic he will do the needful. |

Ishilove: http://www.ladunliadinews.com/2015/04/nobody-should-celebrate-buhari-etcetera.html Would etc condemn this celebtrations if gej were declared winner and people roll out drums in celebration? This betrays your ill-feeling for the president-elect and his supporters. One of the problems of Nigerians is their relativity which turns them amoral and hence retard progress. As long as right and wrong are in the eyes of the beholder, there can't be agreement and there can't be unity of purpose and there can't be achievement Until Nigerians unite on right and wrong, commend what is right and condemn what is wrong, there can't be the revolutionary progress people are yearning for. People will continue to see right and wrong through the prism of ethnicity, religion, and other parochial considerations. This is a sure recipe for doom. |
