doyindamus:too late I already heard! what brilliant analysis from sir Doyin yeah that game was a freak of nature. . .but issall good we're 3-1 against them this season considering how they killed us last yr. If we meet them in the playoffs, we'll spank their butts back across the border! ![]() A-40 - I concur, I think last season was a fluke for GS as well. the playoffs looks tough to get into and I don't think they have the depth - the west is so much more competitive this season. If I had to bet I'd go Dallas too. . .they hafta regain some pride and respect after that shameful dismissal. No worries 'bout brady's foot, it's much ado about nuthin. Dude is fine and enjoying the attention I'm sure. And I don tell am before Gisele's juju is not strong enuff to shake tom terrific ![]() |
doyindamus:lol. . .well until I visit ye ol' country myself and see - Massachu still rules! I know I sound like a typical arrogant american . You know what I think you need a visit to Boston, it's much nicer here than you think. Then you'll convert to Redsoxism, Patriotism and Celticism - great religions.BlackMamba:Woe to those who put their hope in NY, for they shall be disappointed. ![]() |
Hurray!!! up Tsonga! down Nadal! those Capris are gone! thank God! ![]() |
banned? hehe what did you do to seun? and what do u mean academically pretentious? Massachu is the education mecca of america! a sentiment and fact widely accepted by all. and gisele's wiles will not work on Brady Tony Romo is a weak man. . . unlike that hunk called Tom. |
doyindamus: for the record, I like Doyindamus much more than 13 .You're right in that they are exciting BUT "exciting" is not what matters - it's winning that counts!!! just ask the Spurs. Besides I think the celtics will get more and more lively not less - this is only their first yr together. But guess will see. . . Now Blazers and NO get my respect. I like what they've done unseating the "western conference powers" and taking the lead- the NBA is unpredictable this yr and I like that. Wizards? not scared of them. We whopped them by 20+ points 1st game of the season. In a 7-game series, my husband Garnett will dominate those boards. so mr clairvoyant - check that crystal ball again- betting against Boston teams never turns out good- just ask the Red Sox. |
doyin13:don't tell me you're a fan of the warriors! you're only going to get your heart broken. Na only 3point dem sabi shoot - defence? no way, playmaking? nada, insidegame- kosi. Besides I think the Mavs have way too much pride to let GS beat them again in the first rd. Kai! last yr was an utter disgrace. Couldn't believe they still gave Dirk the MVP award. |
18-0 one more to go 18-0 one more to go
hehe now that's what I'm talkin' bout! |
I have no choice but to support the Patriots now.The Giants took out my two favorite teams so its Patriots for the superbowl but like the Giants have proved twice before they can suprise
Welcome to the winning side A-40, it's much nicer over hia . Join the chant now 18 - 0, 1 more to go! 18 - 0, one m. . . |
sweetie, it's not too late to join the winning side. . .common Doyindamus, it's okay, you can come on over to the dynasty. . .I promise I won't even rub it in anymore. . .the invitation remains open to you and to all ![]() |
SegunTX: they better strike that deal now abi? lol.At the end of the day I think the only way the dems can win the house of white is to have a Clinton/Obama ticket. That would be formiddable and almost certainly unbeatable like IykeD put it, this process increases his value and will win whatever votes Hillary doesn't already have. |
hehe, Edwards is a figure-head - that's why he's perfect for Obama! lol. Someone who can bring in not a huge crowd but just enough votes/support for Obama to win. He's influential in his own right. and frankly I don't see any of the other Democrats (besides maybe Richardson) "stooping" down to become Obama's vice, they all have monster egos with Hillary at the top. lol.But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Kerry to jump in as vice- he's been dying to get in the white house - here's his chance |
SegunTX:It's hard to say. If he gets the dem nomination he'll need a very influential person becos he cannot win against the Reps riding on his own charisma and draw alone. I think he'll stand a much better chance with Edwards vs Richardson. or maybe he'll fish out John Kerry to join him - since kerry has already given him his support. Now that would be intresting to see! |
from Jesoul:no be wetin I dey talk since that last thread? Anyways on to your questions: If Obama were to be nominated: Do you seriously think that America is ready for a black president? No I honestly don't think so but I could be proven wrong. Do you seriously think that Obama would be able to edge out John Mccain (my probable nominee from Republicans), Mitt Romney, or Mike Huckabee?Nope don't think he can edge out McCain or Romney but Huckbee is very beatable because of his religious beliefs which influence his policies and polarizes a good chunk of america. Who would become Obama's vice, Clinton?? NO WAY; Edwards?? Would be greatest mistake of Obama.Hillary will never say yes to be Obama's vice- over her dead body! There's way too much bad blood and she has way too much pride to settle for the vice ticket. It would be more likely Obama would accept the vice position but not Hillary. The truth of the matter is that Obama for president sounds good on paper, but I so much believe that he is best suited as the Vice president, by so doing, himself and Hillary would form a formidable force, and would have the votes of Independents and youths, whom I believe would play a vital role in who becomes president.Obama and Hillary will def win the whitehouse, both of them combined will be too much for any republican. Besides they would offer a stiffer opposition for the Republicans. I want the Democrats to win, and the only way is Clinton for President, Obama for vice.na wetin I dey talk since last yr oh my brotha, we go see sha. |
doyin13: hehe. If winning is a crime then I guess I'm guilty! lol. GO PATRIOTS!!! lol.
Tony Romo's vacation did wonders lol.I am switching allegiance to the Green Bay Packers although i have this funny feeling that the Patriots are just too focused
you should listen to those feelings n it looks like you have to switch allegiance again- but this time switch to the winning team! a grp called the NewEngland Patriots! |
prof ade:abi ke, I was shocked to find out Blake is still alive, but his reward is a match with the FedExpress, too bad. My money is on Roger. and Roger vs Djokovic, I'm drolling at the possibility and maybe he can do some of those player impersonations too- that dude is great for tennis. How about Tsonga huh? I liked him since last year and now all my rooting is paying off , I hope he moves on so I can watch him kick Nadals butt in the semis. Those capris need to go! |
wooohooo!!! The new slogan in Boston today is 18 - 0, 1 more to go!Sorry Doyindamus and Blackmamba looks like Dibia's juju no dey work on Patriots. Be like say Rivers and LT no fit trash talk anymore, and what happened to mister lights out merriman? it was like he wasn't even playing, lol. But I am mad Greenbay lost Brett Favre deserved one last trip to the SB, though not win, but at least get there. Now its up to Brady and Moss to offer a spanking on Eli for spoiling Favres season and the perfect SB everyone was hoping for - NE vs GB, Brady vs Favre, youngun vs. maverick. |
why can't Roddick win anymore? American tennis is just going down the drain. Blake is prob going to lose in the next rd too. He's always "close" but disappoints in the big moment.Anyways the FedExpress rolls on. dayokanu:yeah I know Federer is as serious about tennis as it gets. He will surpass Sampras' record and become the greatest ever. |
olabowale:ROTFL, how gullible do you think nairalanders are? do you really expect us to believe this tori? Poster, this is a pointless question. Like one person said God's word is what is powerful, not the paper it is printed on. if both books are made of paper- they will both burn! Unless they were made of fire-resistant material ![]() |
doyin13:LOL, my brain is telling me TO will become TO again - only a matter of time. You hear the shot Micheal Strahan took on TO? He said something like "T.O. could make some popcorn and sit in his home theater and watch them play next weekend" - that was funny! |
BlackMamba:hmm even though the patriots tape was confiscated in the 1Q of the 1st game and did not have the chance to use any tape ppl are still crying for asterisks even though taping is legal from anywhere just not the sidelines and every team does it?My brotha, deal with it, the patriots went 16-0 legitimately whether you like am or whether you no like am. |
doyin13:nah that was a good ol'fashioned loss not sure why they let Wash go on a 16-4 or something like that run to end the game. But no tears yet, no team goes thru an 82game season without struggling sometimes, Doyindamus, not so fast yet, yeah it would be 'nice' to see Eli vs. Rivers but not this year my brotha. Not this year - Pats are destined for 19-0 - can't you see that in your crystal ball? eh, Doyindamus? ![]() I'm not sure which QB I'd pick over the other, they both have serious question marks but have shown some guts these past couple playoff games. Even LT might have warmed up to Rivers, after the way he dissed him couple weeks ago during a game. |
oh common now be sensitive ![]() Yeah I admit I was laughing at first cos I was suprised at what I was seeing, but it seemed genuine which is not what one would expect from TO. I think he was just really disappointed they lost. Athletes cry when they suffer a really bad loss. Didn't you see Kobe all red-eyed crying when their 3peat was over couple yrs ago at the hands of SA? But maybe TO's a changed man. The way he kept mentioning and thanking God in every other sentence. Looks like he went to deeper life with Randy Moss, abi? ![]() |
Iyes, There's no place for "pastoral blessing" as a pre-requisite for a valid marriage!I have been reading all the posts and waiting patiently for someone to say this clearly, THANK YOU JARE!!! But I will also add that for a christian, marriage needs to be legal in the eyes of God as well as in the eyes of the government, so yes you need those certificates when applicable. And also about parental consent, it's not always as clear cut as some people have demanded here. One of my best friends (a christian) wanted to get married but his parents are not christians and not really involved in his life and not really in the picture. Her mother was not a christian and her father not really a part of her life. So what was he supposed to do? not marry her because he did not get "consent" from both her parents and his parents? what if her/his parents who are not christians oppose the marriage for no 'godly' reason? are they supposed to break up and call it quits? Every situation is unique and a christian should use God's wisdom and the holyspirit to discern what the right thing to do is. |
whatnext:nope. There's no reason to expect Federer won't take it again. Nadal is shaky going in, maybe Hewitt will go far cos he's on home soil but I bet my money on the FedExpress. As for the women's I think that field is more wide open, seeing I'm already US biased, I'm rooting for Venus. |
doyin13:lol, yeah yeah. If those officials hadn't messed up the 24-violation call and given Wash. back the ball we might have stolen the game, I was so mad. But it's alright, the Pats won so a celtics loss didn't hurt too much. Now hope the chargers can upset the Colts so that I can watch LT cry again when the Pats destroy them again. |
doyin13:uhmm what was that about a Celtic loss?! sorry I couldn't resist.McNabb has made it all the way to the SB, I felt sorry but not sorry he lost cos it was to NE. I think he's a better QB than he has shown so far, it's those injuries that are killing him. I hope he does well next yr. And if he goes to a team that encourages him to better his rushing game, he'll be able to develop it. Philly is such a hard city to play in, they're brutal to all their stars, even if it were favre playing there, they would not love him as much as GBay does. |
doyin13:lol and they can't jump either. ![]() True he's not nearly as athletic as most players but who needs athelticism with that arm of his? omo he don make im millions and set them records carry go without breaking a sweat (or an ankle). I am though getting tired of his hundreds of cmmercials on tv. Favre is loveable, but prone to so many interceptions, it takes the wind outta the sails of his team when it happens. but the QB I want to see make a comeback in '08-09 is McNabb on another team stick it to the eagles - the ungrateful lot of them. |
doyin13:Nope, proud Independent! lol common now, you're not going to hold on to the whole spygate thing? that was the first game of the season! and the cameras were confiscated in the first half so they couldn't even use whatever they had already taped! plus taping is legal, just not from the sidelines. Teams tape from the endzones, crowd, top etc, what belichick did was not that big a deal as people made it out to be. But looks like ur mind is made up - you hate the Pats and I don't blame you, I'd hate them too if I wasn't a fan- they win! and beat everyone else's team. Why now again? what did Peyton do to you? lol. |
Seun:lying to federal investigators is. Barry bonds is also in that hot water. toshmann:haba it's not like she killed someone! 20yrs ke? she took drugs and lied about it! She was sentenced to 6mths in jail and 800hrs community service and I think that is sufficient. She's returned the medals, had her records wiped off the books and will forever be subject to public disgrace and debacle, what more do you want? |
doyin13:oh hell to the NO!!! If the Pats lost, I wouldn't mind any team winning but Dallas and Jax. Their arrogance is just too much. Plus Jax has been talking non-stop since they beat the Steelers, like they just won a championship or something. I hope NE beats them gooooooood! |
bawomol:lol, the good thing about being an independent is I pledge allegiance to no party. So no I don't hate democrats at all. Hillary wants to provide "universal healthcare" to all which will be at the expense of hardworking taxpayers, provide a "path to citizenship" for illegals already here, which will be rewarding criminal behavior and a slap in the face of those who waited years, paid fees and did it legally.etc, Frankly I don't think it matters if she wins or obama wins the nomination. America will not select a "half-frican" american (like one radio talkshow host put it) or a woman, not just yet. When it comes down to it, america will show her true color, you'll see. Now one intresting scenario would be if Hillary won the nomination and Obama jumped on her ticket as the vice-president candidate, that combination might pull of a victory. and then in 4/8 yrs Obama would gun for the presidency, it's a win-win scenario for both of them- maybe not for america though. |
doyin13:ROTFL, be like say u be comedian. It's the NE philosophy and that's what makes them so successful. Players come here, plug into the system and leave with superbowl rings - it produces results and 99% of nfl players would love to come just to win like that. Seems you prefer the oakland raiders version of Randy Moss? why now? I used to like LT, until he started complaining and whining about this n that. If you still like the Giants they're prob going to lose to Dallas, Eli Manning will succumb to the pressure. So you sef, who you dey pick to win the SB? |
