FamilyRe: Can I Tell Him The Truth Now? by JJYOU: 3:03pm On Feb 05, 2009
@plap, sorry this is eating you up. they say it is easier to tell truth than tell a lie.

solution to this is very simple let them know you are not working and unlike some other people you dont have a dozen hookers making money for you in europe streets.

only your mum is important in this matter. you should help her along with the help coming from your sister and the rest. it should not be only you and your hubby's burden. all you women lib movement you see what you have caused? we never used to depend on daughters for feeding.

get your sister in europe to help out too.
your elder brother is not your responsibility. learn to ignore him and tell your husband exactly that too. he should be told to grow up and stop gambling like there is no tomorrow.

on the team plus 2 reserve bench, you are not their parents so technically not your wahala but i can see why telling now is going to create some problem. walk this rope carefully.

i normally charge for this but i will give you this free on this occassion. try being nice and go the extra kindness mile until you come out clean. by this i mean no matter whatever he does from now you will/ must ignore to the point he owes you a lot. it may be hard but knowing you neeed the bridge yourself walk it.

you may also need to talk to your people that you cant afford to feed them and your family. and make sure you wean them of his money. they survived without it before they will survive again. i cant understand why some people dont have respect for their kids
FBS:
one should not look at it from that angle that the guy is white or not. He is a human being that deserves to know the truth. end of story. Put yourself in his shoes, what would you have done, knowing that your wife lied to you?
she is not hiding her own child/ren for goodness sake. these are people she should never be responsible for in the first place. these people are unique. i dont want to say what i think of them.

putting a young girl under pressure should never be permitted
*Hauwa*:
poster should start looking for a job now, i know it maybe hard with you having small kids. in case you tell him or your siblings does and he leaves.

na wah! so oyinbo dey fear our large family? maybe if the family is stinky rich, oyinbo won't be afraid.
she shouldnt look for no job. her kids are young. she should cut off the funds they send home. she has another sister who can easily take that responsibility if comes to that.

on a day like this i thank God for my mum and dad.

You are right my sister, i wonder when women will have a right in their matrimonia home in  Nigeria, the most annoying one is when the husband dies befor the wife, it is always the wife that killed him, but when the wife dies first, no one cares even if it's the husband that killed her no one will suspect him it's crazy.
@ poster U are wrong to have said in ur topic women the cause, why? if u were to be a woman that got married to a cheating husband and a punching bag husband, would u keep him simply because u do not want to divorce?? if the men play a good role, i think the rate of divorce will reduce, its not a thing to pass blame on women only, as they are not slaves, women desarve to be treated tenderly and with respect, expecially the nigeria husband family thing, passing other to a woman in her marimonia home, what a nonsence.
it is this kind of not me guv non challant attitude that is ruining the beautiful land of nigeria. it takes 2 to tangle. majority of the men and women drinking pepper soup into relationships have no business being together at all let alone creating children that is barstadizing that land.

my granny used to tell us good people are creating bad children imagine what will happen when bad kids start reproducing after themselves.

BusinessWhy Banks Allow Robbers To Steal Their Money – Okiro by JJYOU(op): 3:37pm On Feb 03, 2009
Why banks allow robbers to steal their money – Okiro
By Olusola Fabiyi, Abuja
Published: Tuesday, 3 Feb 2009

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mike Okiro, on Monday said that banks in the country did not care about security in their banks because of the insurance cover they had taken on their cash.

Inspector-General of Police, Mike Okiro

Okiro, who stated this at a meeting with banks’ executives in Abuja, lamented that out of the 24 executives expected at the meeting, only 13 attended.

He said that their refusal to attend the meeting showed their lackadaisical attitude towards security matters in their operations.

The visibly angry IGP said that the bank executives believed that even if their money was stolen, they would always get it back through insurance.

But he wondered if the lives of policemen who were always victims during bank robberies would get their lives back.

Though he did not say what would happen to the banks that refused to send their representatives to the meeting, Okiro said he would get their names and take necessary action.

He said, “I am surprised that out of the 24 commercial banks operating in Nigeria, only 13 showed up, that is like half. That shows the level of commitment to security in the banks.

“I do know that banks insure their money and that has been the problem. They insure their money and they don’t care even if the money is stolen by robbers. The insurance companies will pay.

“But the question they are supposed to ask themselves is: no matter the amount paid them by insurance, does it cover the human life lost? Does it cover the lives of police officers? What of the lives of bank workers? The lives of customers who come to banks to transact business? The insurance does not cover them.

“The turnout here shows the kind of interest they have in providing the security in the banks. It is unfortunate that banks will not care about their security. They want to make profit, they want to make money.

“Even if they do not care about security, if a particular bank is open and prone to regular attacks, definitely customers will pull out their money from there.”

Security is everyone's business and as a professional auditor, I know banks have a lot to contribute (not just money!)to ensure safety in their premises.Police have always maintained that many cases of bank robberies have always been possible by informantion supplied by insiders. Banks should learn to be responsible corportate citizens.

well this is the was the issue i was trying to raise yesterday. development is a totally encompassing word and unless african government and people sit down and decide what is their development piorities, they will never be developed. most development you see in africa today hardly impacts on the lives of real africans, because like development of the colonial era it is still mainly focused on extracting resources from the continent. i belife that real development of a person, a group, a region or even a nation is what that unit decide to do that would lead to that unit being really productive to its self first of all then to the larger society(globe) as a whole. in most of this country that are being mentioned the people really feel disenfrachised from the so called development.
101% right

Must you always be so reasonable? You have a very valid point. while i believe that sex is vital in a relationship (at least at the onset) the other elements you listed are also vital too. There's nothing as good as leading a balanced life but as humans we are imperfect and we always tend to have a bias for certain elements over the other. I guess striving to achieve that balance should be the goal of both partners in any relationship.

Exactly! smiley

That magical word 'balance', it's very difficult to achieve and maintain but we should all seek that. It is so much more easier to find a good sexual partner than a god partner for life. Maybe people have given up complete hope on finding true love and companionship these days. I don't blame them, but if there is a 'best' out there i.e. great partner (with many great qualities , including sex) then aim for it. Don't settle for any less, I'd say.
always the tops as usual. God bless you

@ OP, as you are in Benin if you are serious to learn i can send you to my uncle in okoh central to learn how to live with deaf and dumb people.  he is a medical doctor. has been married to one pretty Ibo lady for almost 30yrs now. they have 4 boys and 2 girls all in their twenties.  she still cant talk proper but i think she is the most lovely person God created. she came to that city as a house help today she has her own degree.

by the way all 6 kids talk. i had the privilege of hosting the senior girl in UK for 4yrs. she is so well brought up you wont know her mum cant talk. me and youth she assisted in church were crying when she left.  disability is a mind thing. there are many talking and hearing disabled people about especially in that naija of yours.

i know the trouble my uncle went thru becos of her thanks to narrow minded people like you.  majority of those people dont have marriage today yet the deaf and dumb they say is no match for their brother is keeping a happy home.  you never hear her complain always smiles. wish i can post her girls graduation pics for you to see how beautiful the mother is.

there is nothing love cant build on. there will be challenges but love will ALWAYS conquer all insurmountable mountains.

hope you learn to leave the girl alone and not spoil her joy with your silly remarks.  you definitely know talking people who cant express themselves.

After reading the responses - some of you were privilege growing up. For us, eating in the bed room was a “no-no” and we were not allowed to have a TV in the bedroom.

The one thing we all agree on though:- it's important to eat together

1 love
that is very obvious. we never had the luxury of seeing a parlour as they called it then let alone eating together in one. my mrs on the other came from such a home and keeps the religion with military precision. though she wont cook she does know how to set the table and dishes that you cant resist.

i think it is a good idea. it gives you opportunity to bond, relax and talk.

Siena:
I was affected, yes, but positively.

Had a client who had booked me for 3 days, carrying out a conversion on his car, at his home.

I was able to bump up the price, it's a 130-mile round trip, not worth doing on regular hourly rates.
Bad weather = more ill-maintained cars breaking down.
