pocohantas:When Queen Elizabeth 1 sent British soldiers to invade and conquer Nigeria, I guess she was a man? Nations go to wars and for different reasons and women can also instigate wars. You can start your feminism by telling your father and his kinsmen not to collect bride price whenever you're getting married. I have opened car doors for my women on several occasions and I have also pampered them in many other ways. So, I wonder how you managed to know that I have never opened car doors for a woman. |
Mindlog:Perhaps giving your partner good sex is what companionship means Or what is your own definition of it? |
Mcslize:Are you married? I guess you're not! Most ladies expect you to prove your capability to provide as a man before they accept you for serious relationship that is marriage-bound. |
Mindlog:God forbid bad thing! I'm not gay and I haven't said that I'll not marry a lady. All I'm saying is that child bearing is very important to me. I also like women for good sex and the feminine warmth they offer. Not really companionship because I know that many married men don't rely on their wives for companionship especially when they have to work at a distant place from their family. |
Mindlog:As far as I'm concerned, it makes no sense getting married in the first place if one doesn't want to have kids. What would they be doing together? Is it the so called companionship which to me is useless to a man because there are a lot of things to keep a man company in this time and age. As a matter of fact, women don't make good companions to men because they usually have different interests from what men find interesting. |
Majesty2:Show us the "nonsense" built by your own senator. At least Tony Nwoye tried to build this one and the place would certainly help youths, especially sec school leavers to acquire digital skills to navigate through higher institution and through life generally. |
ogawisdom:This is one of the draw backs of women's education! They'll still hold on to the traditional family setting where the man is expected to provide everything for the family, but they carefully and selfishly discard the aspect that requires them to respect the man and submit wholly to him. Those days, a man's word in his house was law. No wonder marriage is no longer attractive to modern men. |
1Sharon:But what that guy is saying is actually true. Most ladies reject the cool guys and go for the so called bad guys who're nothing but players who give no flying fvck except having sex with the ladies until they get their fill and dump them afterwards. Then these ladies become bitter about men generally without minding that the fault was from her choice of men. As a guy, when you come to most Nigerian ladies with HONESTY about yourself and your genuine love for her, she'll most likely reject you. But when you put on the playboy attitudes with lots of lies and borrow pose, they'll accept you. |

If you don't want to have kids, what's the essence of getting married in the first place? |
iLoveYouToo:That's why people like us keep lamenting here about the state of things in our drug markets and regulatory agencies. The rate at which people consume drugs indiscriminately in Nigeria calls for concern. There is need for a more stringent measure to control drugs in this country. Other countries that don't allow easy access to drugs by untrained people are not fools. Drugs are meant to be used strictly upon prescription by a medical doctor and upon being dispensed and counselled by a qualified Pharmacist. But here even illiterates prescribe and sell drugs! It is wrong! That is why life expectancy in Nigeria is so low, because drugs kill as much as they can also cure ailments. NAFDAC, PCN and other regulatory agencies need to wake up! |
Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if women were stronger than men. Them for dey give us steady beating even worse than some men who beat their wives today. This evil lady must be thoroughly dealt with to serve as deterrent to other women of her kind. |
Sometimes I wonder how I'll be racking my head on being the best at my work so I can make money in order to keep my woman and kids happy, and at the same time worry myself on how to keep her. I believe that there are wise ladies out there from good homes with good upbringing who'll understand that she doesn't have to stress a man so much to meet her mundane expectations provided he's doing well in the aspect of providing for his family. |
Ohraykon:Forget that thing o. A typical Nigerian lady expect you to prove that you're capable of caring for her and her offsprings. While a few immature ones would be concerned about the infatuation which y'all call 'love', the majority of Nigerian girls would go for guys who are financially capable and generous. You just have to prove your capability to be the man and breadwinner of the house. |
Kingogbotor:Op I used to think like you until I understood that giving money and other gifts goes a loooooong way in getting a Nigerian girl. Try it and thank me later. |
What we have in Nigeria are pseudo feminists who like to think they're feminists whilst still clutching tightly to all the undue benefits patriarchy gave to women. If you claim to be a feminist whilst still wanting men to fight wars alone, provide for family alone, open car doors for you, pay your bride price, come out at night and face anything threatening the family etc, you're nothing but a confused human being and should go to hell with your feminism. |

EreluRoz:You and bedroom matter sef. It's okay though because I like girls who are sexually expressive with no inhibitions. RIP to the young lady. |
See as this girl smartly got married to Ned without listening to pseudo feminists who would have deceived her into believing that she had all the time while jumping from one d1ck to another until menopause catches up with her. No wonder she easily got pregnant twice and bore healthy kids. That age she got married (16 years) is the best time for any girl to marry and have healthy kids smoothly. Only those who are honest will agree with me. While those who are dishonest or just wanna be seen as 'woke' will disagree. Young girls! Please try and get married early enough if you don't want to have problem with conception. You'll also stand a chance to enjoy your children while you're still strong. A word is enough for the wise! |
Teeklef:You call us tribalists yet we voted Abiola, Obasanjo, Yar',adua and Atiku(2019). My friend, if you want to be honest with yourself you'll realize that Igbos are the most detribalised people in Nigeria when it comes to electing the president of this country. They always vote for the candidate they consider as better option regardless of tribe! Of course, every sane Nigerian know that Peter Obi was the best candidate in the last election but tribalism by the other two major tribes cost him the election. |
If that's the case then I'm proudly a weak man. After Yahoo boys have used your womb for rituals, and after you have mounted different shapes and sizes of d1cks, you expect an innocent me to come and carry your damaged self God forbids! |
This is why I always advise guys never to pity any lady or look back when they want to dump a lady. Men are always guilt tripped by even fellow men when they want to dump a lady after years of dating. But ladies usually don't pity any guy when they want to move on with other men. Guys, don't listen to anybody who would want you to marry a lady at all cost just because you have dated her for long! Always remember that if tables were turned that same lady would dump your assx without pity regardless how much money you invested in her. |
Catapault:You're actually the airhead here, because it is on record that we had the best of education during the colonial era with university of Ibadan being a campus of the university college London. Many of our professors and professionals today were educated by the colonial masters. Then Nigerians didn't need visa to travel abroad and many were offered scholarships to study in choice universities abroad. Infrastructures done by colonial masters were of high quality. Those roads and bridges constructed by the British colonial leaders stood the test of time. Our people got the best of healthcare as British doctors were the ones in charge of healthcare. Same British doctors were the ones who later trained our people on orthodox medicine which then replaced our crude and ineffective traditional medicine practice. The list goes on South Africa is much more developed today than Nigeria because the colonial masters stayed longer there compared to Nigeria that hurriedly got Independence only for our evil and selfish politicians to start looting our common wealth instead of developing the country. Sometimes, I wish that the colonial masters stayed longer in Nigeria. I'm sure the country would have been better than it is today. |
I wish the UK lawyers could even go further to take over practice of human rights laws, electoral laws, criminal laws etc. It'll be so interesting because I trust the white man to do the right thing no matter whose ox is gored. Unlike our corrupt charge and bail lawyers, the UK lawyers would not be taking bribes from government and wealthy individuals to pervert the course of justice. |
Beuberry:Run your own life first ![]() |
Beuberry:Can you even run in a pitch for just 5minutes Agbaya! |
Catapault:Nigeria is endowed with more natural and human resources than Ghana! Agreed we are populated but we have more than enough resources which when properly explored and the proceeds judiciously utilized can put Nigeria in same league as the wealthy Arab nations such as the UAE. We shouldn't be measuring d1ck with small Ghana if not that our leaders have failed to develop our country. |
cremedelacreme:We suppose send them o Isn't it disgraceful that a country we once mocked for their economic woes and even made "Ghana Must Go" bags for is now thriving in all aspects and doing better than us Their power supply, education, healthcare, road infrastructures etc are much better than ours today! What a shame!Check the average life expectancy in Ghana and you'll see that it's far above Nigeria's. Too bad! |
Nigerians should cut Iwobi some slack! The guy gave his best in the tournament. The coach should be blamed for yesterday's loss. |
ClearFlair:That's the major problem here! We encourage crimes like fraud (Yahoo boys), drug peddling, brutality by the rich and affluent against the poor and downtrodden, killing of ignorant Nigerians with fake drugs by quacks etc. Until we stop encouraging these crimes, Nigeria can never be better. |
AIDSnCURE:The powers of herbs and roots belong to the black man yet same black men were dying hopelessly until the advent of orthodox medicine. They were dying and getting labelled "Ogbanje" and other such unfounded titles until orthodox drugs came to our rescue. That's why your ilks can now run your mouth with the false claim that the so called traditional medicine is better than orthodox medicine. Them no dey tell person o. If you like go to those quacks claiming to be herbalists. Las las, na nephrologist go chop your money when kidney failure comes. |
Dem no dey tell person o Anybody that wants to use his or her life to play gambling should not blame anybody for whatever fate that befalls such person. Herbal medicines as it is in Nigeria are mostly practiced by dubious persons who know next to nothing about herbs. I'm aware that medicinal herbs exist but the truth is that what we have in Nigeria are scammers who claim to know herbs. What some of them do is to mix some plants with orthodox drugs and sell to unsuspecting Nigerians just to enrich themselves! Besides, even if some of them know medicinal plants, they hardly know the exact ailments such plants can cure, hence they'll claim that a particular plant can cure thousands of diseases! Also, there is the problem of dosing! Every medicinal substance has a specific dose that the body can handle without problems, if such substances are given in high doses, they cause organ problems, especially kidney and liver failures. So many Nigerians have died untimely from kidney failure due to use of those herbal concoctions. Before now, I in particular, has continually lamented about the nonchalant attitudes of our leaders towards developing our pharmaceutical sector. We keep churning out Pharmacists who would later migrate to other countries to help them develop their pharma sector. Why must we continue to rely on India and China to meet the needs of over 200 million Nigerians for drugs? When we have trained Pharmacists that can make these drugs if provided with the enabling environments? Why can't we endeavor to achieve self sufficiency in drugs manufacturing such that we also supply other countries and earn forex to grow our economy. We need to be proactive and not just reactive as a nation. Covid-19 provided an opportunity for us to see and understand the need to have a thriving pharmaceutical sector but after the pandemic, we went back to slumber! Now, the decline in value of naira against dollar has made the prices of these imported drugs to skyrocket, and instead of us to think of how to develop our pharmaceutical sector, some people are now claiming that traditional medicines would solve our needs for drugs. The same traditional medicine that could not stop people from dying in large numbers prior to the coming of orthodox drugs! Let's pressurize our governments to pay attention towards developing our pharmaceutical sector! That should be the way forward! We have the manpower! All we need is for government to create the enabling environments by revamping our power sector, providing loan facilities for our pharmaceutical companies and cut down on taxation of these companies. Apart from growing our economy via forex earning, it will create jobs for the teeming unemployed Nigerian youths. Let's channel our energy and priorities towards growing our pharma sector and not towards some ineffective trado medicines! A word is enough for the wise! |
Brendaniel:Protests ended SARS, and I'm sure that if intensified, the current protests across the country can get the government change some harsh policies that led to the current hardship in our country. |
