MrBrownJay1: Lol, so because I don't believe her story (that makes no sense) I must be a rapist....?! And it's with such biased state of mind that you want to judge this story?! Ok..... Where did I suggest you're a rapist? You either have a problem comprehending English or you read in a hurry and missed the meaning. And no. It's not true her story makes no sense. You and Omokri sound like those Chibok disbelievers who deem themselves "intelligent" yet go around asking questions a 6-year-old can answer. |

MrBrownJay1: sentiments aside: i have to agree that this rape allegation makes very little sense... raped by pastor in your home while family members are present?! Yea. She said the family members were there. Yea, the pastor couldn't have known the routine of that house given their closeness. Yea, she should remember something that happened years ago as if it was yesterday and tell a perfect story. Yea, you and Reno are too much with your knowledge of how rapists behave. |

daddytime: Everybody don turn to reactor.
That's a fellow Bayelsan speaking right there. I'm sure he didn't care to reach out to Timi to clear his doubt on how the news was reported but thought it wise to play the intellectual and father-knows-how-All-rapes go, how the victims and perpetrators should act in a real rape scenario.
The sequence in which the story was narrated might have sounded puncturables or senseless but heck, I'm not discarding or downplaying her narratives. It's been a long time gone and expecting her to tell it all second by second as it panned out would be very unfair.
I'd expect the Totoyinbo to come out and give a refute to these allegations, wait for Ese Walters to come to restate hers and the many more that'll be emboldened to step up to speaking up following Mrs. Dakolos boldness.
If this is indeed true, the dude needs to face justice with zero statutes of limitations.
Enough is frigging enough with these charlatans and idiots in power using their self-acclaimed high positions to abuse the "nobody's".
Reno is just trying to sound intelligent and be clever by half...I'm sure he's got daughters and sisters.. Karma no dey wear pant.
Senseless reaction and attempt at playing a detective.

lionson3: Timi shouldn't have allowed this because at the end of the day the wife will be at the receiving end. My wife (then my fiancee) was sexually abused by a Pastor but I urged her to let it go because I couldn't stand to see my wife answering rediculous questions here and there. Today, we have forgiven the pastor and life goes on.
Let's note the following; 1. Everyone will not believe you. 2. Why now? Why not when the incident happened? 3. It wasn't wise of timi to have taken this issue to the court of social media. What does he hope to achieve by this? 4. Even if Timi's wife goes to court, for want of evidence the case will thrown out of court because judgement cannot be based on her account of what happened because it will be her word against his word even if there was a third party, it won't count. So dead on arrival.
My advise is allow this issue to rest. Yea. Let the pastor go on to sexually abuse others - after all, that's no longer any of your business. Obviously, you don't know why people make these reports at great discomfort to themselves. |

Breaking of a PROMISE TO MARRY is actionable in court - the court will award damages for time wasted and all. The father who asked the young man to go to court won't know what hit him. |

We all thought it was safe until we found cockroaches feasting on them. @Dentalgist, I dropped some question on ur immediate previous thread. I keep mine in a plastic container but the brush is taller than the plastic so the head gets to be aired. I also don't keep the container inside the toilet. |

May be if he has pleaded gently the Man might just accept instead of offering him cash to buy his conscience and offer the seat in return which to the Man is corruption Nigerians can beg! Begging, or pleading as you call it, would have been inappropriate there since the man already told him why he's not giving up the seat. The best he could do was offer money to make it worth the man's while. If it was someone with a debt or some other urgent financial need, he would have accepted the offer. |

cococandy: After 20 years she gets to move into the street? Y’all jokers. How is it her husband’s house? It’s their marital home and the court should figure our a way to split it amicably. Simple It's his house if he built/bought it before they got married. If he bought it during the marriage, it belongs to both of them. If the former is the case, he should retain his house. If the latter, whoever the kids (if any) are to live with should get the house. In either case, he ought to "settle" her to enable her find a place to live. If she was a housewife without her own money, the court ought to consider this and impose an asset sharing formula by order. |

An ex DSS agent told me a DSS official is expected to sacrifice his life for his benefactor in an emergency or will be queried All bodyguard jobs require that you sacrifice your life if the situation demands it - jump in front of him if bullets are being fired or if a steel is falling, etc. If you can't do that, you don't take the job. Vote for you who like but when a group like Ohaneze comes out to say Igbos are voting for one candidate, they're declaring the other candidate an enemy. Oheneze's endorsement was not even necessary since nobody waits for them to tell them who to vote for but Ohaneze believes that noisemaking is a strategy. I said so here on Nairaland at the time but the response was predictable. I don't know who thinks for Ohaneze. |

deltateam: I should rather advice you to boost your comprehensive abilities.
There's no way you can determine how much the second hand should ost without considering the price of its new.
What I have been saying which you still don't understand is that most second hand stores slash their second hands goods so much your no 2 might not sail. This is because they intend selling off. Besides UK products are ridiculously cheap over there as they are just discarded. A phone company in jand can use thousands of its phones for test run only to decide to sell them off and the ready market is Africa. Some Nigerians even go there and tell them to manufacture substandard phones which could be passed off as original or how do you think cloned phones come about? Finally some whites buy phones on impulse just to sample it and sell off just 2 weeks later. You still don't get it. Courts are manned by human beings and all these facts you've listed are known and can easily be proved. A court will convict you of receiving stolen goods if you bought an iphone 10 FROM A GUY ALONG THE ROAD for N30,000. No court will convict you if you bought a UK-used phone 6 at a shop where UK used phones are sold for N50,000 since it can easily be proved that UK-used iphones are sold in Lagos for that price or close to it. Many factors will be taken into consideration. And no dealer will sell you an iPhone 6 for N5000 while selling the same phone for others at N60,000 because he bought yours from a white man who sampled it and sold it two weeks later. The problem is guys like you buying something for a ridiculously cheap price FROM A NON-DEALER and then trying to bluster their way through with - "I didn't know naa." The court will deduct that you ought to have known whether you knew or not. But do the right thing and you a have nothing to fear. You can either learn from this or go on with this mindset of yours. And it's comprehension abilities, not comprehensive abilities. |
