That is what their black mind call great achievement. Yet they die empty. Linda has done nothing idiotic. She only did her job by writing a story. Whizkid's response is childish and disproportionate. |

PastorAIO: Then biographies, I read a lot of biographies of famous people. In biographies you'll learn about the people in their historical context not just their work. You'll also learn what influenced them, what books they read and who taught them and then you'll get a flow.
I could go on and on.
There is a Radio Show on the bbc called In Our Time presented by Melvin Bragg. you can even download them for free as podcasts onto your phone. Everyweek Bragg discusses a topic from the history of ideas with a panel of experts. It really ranges from any subject to any subjects, from historical events to scientific discoveries etc. So far it is an intellectual idea developed at some point in human history then it can be up for discussion.

$2 Trillion?? You dey mind them? It's likely N2t. If someone makes an error in figure, the media will report it seriously. Sometimes it's the media, especially bloggers, who're responsible for the error. People have no sense of figures anymore. |

Doesn't it seem, if true at all, that government is actually trying to SHIELD these so- called suspects from public accountability ?
Where is the transparency? But they've come under serious criticism for the many names we have seen in the media so far. Actually, I am in support of naming and shaming. It's the closest we can get to the old method of shouting 'ole, ole' in the marketplace. In a system as corrupt as ours, it's the way to go. |

Myrolemodel: The Mercedes C- Class and Volkswagen products are very fuel efficient, even in traffic hold-ups. Toyota on the other hand is less fuel efficient if you have to move and stop frequently as often happens in traffic. But they are very efficient in long journeys on the free way Wow, thanks. Patented: I feel you totally, u made valid points. My comments are based on the belief that Nigeria must protect its own companies. Govt Patronage alone won't make Innoson start but that guaranteed market @ the beginning will help ensure the company stays afloat and has funds for research, development and improvements. Lets call it encouragement I agree. But I hope he doesn't rely on government patronage for funding. He needs to go to the stock market - he has established a good business and should be able to raise money from shares easily. There is really no way you can run a capital intensive business like IVM without going to the stock market unless you're Globacom backed by IBB's stolen billions or Arik backed by Peter Odili's stolen billions or Lekki Gardens backed by Akpabio's stolen billions. It's either that or you remain small forever, unable to compete with the Toyotas and the Nissans. |

Patented: cos Innoson does not repatriate funds out of Nigeria. The money remains in our economy. . Good point. But patronage can't be based on such sentiments only. I hope Innoson gets its act together and produces vehicles that meet specs. I'd even suggest they meet with those who buy large numbers of vehicles like the police and discuss their needs. More importantly, though, Innoson can't survive on government patronage only - that was the mistake Peugeot made. They need the critical mass of Nigerians. The way to get that market is to up their game and compete well with the Toyotas and the Nissans. For example, I'd like to see them export their cars and let's see what foreign regulatory agencies say about them in terms of emissions, airbags, breaking systems, you know the works. You see how they've been rejecting our beans and cashew in Europe? Low standards. I hope Innoson meets standards - I want to buy one of their cars myself. I hope you get my drift. |

raker300: The population of foreigners in the east is on the high side. The other day, a white man entered keke with me here in enugu.
Mexican restaurants are opening here in enugu.
One of the Chinese staff of 'lifemate' a furniture company is living close to my place here in enugu.
Foreigners are running the many drug companies here. They move around to sell their drugs becos of the competition they face in the east from local drug companies
My former company was bought by the Chinese here in enugu.
My last visit to ogbunike cave in Anambra were white people flooded the cave is something else. You need to go there and see the number of foreigners in that cave
People can say what they want but the situation on ground here Is different. Whites are more free in the east unlike Lagos where they always move around with heavy security Very interesting and good to learn of these activities going on over there. I myself hope to visit the Ogbunike Caves one of these days. But on your last paragraph about whites always going around with security in Lagos, you certainly aren't familiar with Lagos. |

When you see me very well dressed up and looking fresh, I probably need cash that period. 1000% correct. The richer I get, the less well-turned out I generally look. An intelligent lady who wants to know your economic status won't look at the phone like someone was saying. You can be a Dangote and carry a Nokia torchlight. She'd want to look at the wristwatch - that is something MOST men don't take, as they tend to wear something within their economic status. Note I said most. There are exceptions. |

macof: oh! another slowpoke who jumps to conclusions over what he knows nothing about get away you dumb Bleep slowpoke You like the words slowpoke and slowpoke. I challenge you to a mental contest, let's see who will crash out in round 1. How can someone who believes the gods wants us to kill our kind claim they are intelligent, to the extent of calling someone else a slowpoke? You can claim I know nothing all you want but you yourself admitted these murders and voiced your support for them. My message to you remains the same - you can bring about change. So the next time your oluwo instructs you to go ring a bell to tell the people that if their goat is missing they should look for it but if their person is missing they should not, preach to the oluwo. Tell him it's time to stop desecrating our great traditional institutions and embarrassing our gods, our ancestors and our people. When you sneak out at night to join the head hunters, instead of looking for strangers and people returning late from work to kill, preach to your colleagues. Ask them to go home and make love to their wives. It's not hard. Our people in Calabar did it. We in the southwest can. |
Politics › Re: Names Of Beneficiaries Of CBN Illegal Recrutiment+photos - Sahara Reporters by JuanDeDios: 6:12pm On Mar 17, 2016 |
AmericanQuarter: It is possible that most of the people from the North has "NEPA" bills as certificates, so you cannot possibly employ such people in a place like CBN, even though Buhari got such waive. Remember that Zamfara, Yobe among other Northern states are scoring 2 and 6 in order to gain admission in the Federal schools whereas states like Anambra and Delta had to score as high as 139 and 138 respectively to attend the same school. The possibility that there is dearth of qualified candidates from the North cannot be ruled out. Remember also that what you need to be qualified is Western education and not Arabic nor Quaranic education. Another ethnic chauvinist on the loose. |
