I have finally gotten my stuff but it still leaves a sour taste in my mouth. CVM's customer service is sub zero, and they don't seem to be bothered. I can't believe that a young freight company chooses to ignore its customers. There are other things about them I am struggling to come to terms with, which I won't mention here.

If your customers are in a different time zone, that is the time zone you work with! You want your customers waking up at 2am to communicate with you? How many Chinese customers do you ship to? You better wake up. You can deliver my stuff within a day if you like, but your customer service is wack!

Respond to emails, call as you promised, send agreed emails, update your website information, etc. People don't like being ignored!

@Bizman, save us those sermons as we are not kids. How would you feel when your very critical stuff is delayed and nobody is telling you anything? You send emails and nobody replies? They are only interested in sending you bills!

It is a shame! May heaven help them if they demand additional payment from me if I dont pick up my shipment when they wish.

Chrisvicmall: ......Our New Shipping shipping might be
Normal Shipping of Product Without Battery (7-10days delivery) 99% guarantee that the product will be available within 14days
Normal Shipping of Product With Battery (10-14days) 95% guarantee that the product will be available within 14days
Special Delivery -- For Product with batteries ( 5-10days) 99% that the product will be available within 14days
What is the difference when every method boils down to 14 days??

Chrisvicmall: Maybe when you guys called Victor or Elena, they will say that the product is already in Lagos. No one likes delaying you guys and what do we gain from keeping your goods when we have receive it. You will be notify as soon as possible
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When we started this business, our goal is to provide an affordable shipping rate as low as possible despite the difficulties. Customers like Kashif, Ujawissy, etc, your products are already in Nigeria for some time now. The question is, if it is in NIgeria, why haven't you receive it. Here is a breakdown;

When we said normal shipping takes 10-14days, we should say it is 99% true. The truth is that it takes between 5-7days for the product to reach Nigeria and another 2-3days for clearance. Our agent will go to the forwarder port to pick the goods and each time we have to spend between 15-30k for transporting the goods from the port to Alaba depending on the weight of the product not including police and area boys harassment fee. But if the forwarder brings it to Alaba, the charges will be avoided.

When we started this business, we used to pick by ourselves and pay the charges and everything seems to be between 10-14days. But spending 90k and above each month in transportation is not proper. In other to cut expenses, we allow the forwarder to transport the goods to Alaba but that means sometimes it will be 14-18days.

Now, we are thinking of doing it by ourselves the way we used to do it before but this means that we have to increase the shipping fee which means all normal shipping should be $13 per kg for normal shipping, $10 if your product is above 10kg, $8 if it is above 50kg, and $7.5 if it is above 100kg.
Also for customers that purchase product that contains battery, we are considering 5-7days delivery service but the price will be $20 per kg.

Another option we have regarding the normal shipping is to inform customers that the product takes 14-18days which means we are 99% sure that the product will be available before that time.

We would like to hear you guys opinion

Chrisvic,

There were changes in your logistics and you never bothered to update your customers? We placed orders based on the modalities you supplied, and have been on the waiting line. From your post below, it is obvious this did not happen this month so, what took you so long? People like me take agreements very seriously, and have a very tight tolerance. It is better I know what odds I am against, and weigh my options carefully.

I was willing to pay ANY amount to have my tablet delivered in good time. I spoke with Elena on phone, had a chat with her, sent emails, all in a bid for her to ship it quickly. I never cared how much it would have cost but she simply got back later to tell me DHL would not ship with battery. No amount compares to what you guys have put me through, and I hate to think what am thinking.

When was the last time you posted here? Two weeks ago!! You are nothing without your customers, and abandoning them does you unimaginable dis-service. People have been complaining, and you show up now to ask for a belated solution?? Not good!

Go ahead with your proposal, I care less. You may also seriously consider centralizing your office in Lagos. I cannot imagine myself going all the way to Alaba to pick my stuff, or being asked for additional payment to get it closer to me. Just an advice.

Eghosa1: One wrong customer service attitude I've come to notice with ChrisVicMall is that when you want to purchase, you're treated as a King/Queen. But once purchase Is done, getting your product now leaves you in the lurch as to what is going on or how things are faring. I agree things won't be as easy as the big guns that ship but determination and thorough motive to surpass hurdles is required from you guys. Several people are complaining at the moment and its out of frustration. People purchased items since October and haven't gotten it till now. Its up to you guys to apologize and work on your lapses. Haven't gotten my goods till now but I'd still chose to culture myself as I wouldn't want to write wrong stuffs on your business. Please, up your game. Thanks!
With the way they are going, survival beyond 2014 will be a miracle. Their customer service is distasteful and most appalling when they default. Nobody gives you any reliable info. Never bank on their 10 - 14 day delivery, its a sham!

Ujawissy: 4 Godsake i'm fed up with cvm.it is 24days using normal and they have nt call tried their customer care bt keep ref me 4rm ifeanyi to victor to...
I have just been genuinely disappointed by cvm. I cannot imagine that a budding coy could be this callous. I was told that my shipment would arrive this Friday but here I am! Elena, Victor and the worst, Ifeanyi were not picking calls anymore. When he did pick, he hung up! This is so incredible!

If you are doing any time-critical shipping, stay away from these people! angry angry angry They have no idea what they have just done.

arkonpoint: Hi there,

I just came about your service recently, I've done through your page and must I say, I'm impressed with your service.

Ive ordered with the free shipping service from aliex and with the time of delivery, I don't think I can have a second trial.

I want to use your service in shipping from China using Direct purchase method, but I'll like to be clear on some certain areas

1. 1kg is $13 using express shipping option, is that the overall shipping fee? no customs, no duty?

2. I stay in Ibadan, is there a way I collect my product here or must I come to Lagos, if so, can I send someone on my behalf

3. The process to get the item shipped to you in China, I understand I'll have to give the seller my username. I'm yet to register but will do so soon, do you charge a fee on registration?

I'll be awaiting your response soon.

Salam
I have shipped through them so, I may be able to answer some of those questions to an extent.

1. Apart from the $10 service charge, that is all you pay. You can collate all your packages and pay just a single service charge

2. You can send somebody; just make sure you tell them about it, and supply the person's phone number.

3. You don't pay for registration.

Hope those help.

einsteino: do we strike you as illiterate? please do a proper research before commenting, banks have a profit margin of 2-3% per usd. hence when the official exchange rate is 160, they sell at 164. lastly aboki exchange rate is always better off than bank, that is why people have a preference for them.

i know of another shipping company whose exchange rate always matches with the current mkt rate, wouldnt mention their name cos i am not here to advertise.

all we are saying is that the exchange rate should be reasonable
What has literacy got to do with this?? I dont argue for the sake of it. Today, the USD buy rate is N169 at the paralled market. I think you will do well to ask around.

I am not holding brief for Chrisvicmall; just being rational.

uuspace: Hello Kashif, question for u,assuming,u get 30% in 3 months for ur 1 milla, wat next?Speculation is the same thing as gambling.
The point Maine is making is assuming u want to create substantial wealth using ur 1 mill,u will not achieve that using the approach u are using now.i might be wrong
Bros, if you call speculation gambling then am afraid you are greatly mistaken. In stock, you gamble when you buy junk stocks hoping to make quick gains.

I have held stocks since 2008 till date. Have they appreciated? Pathetic no! Holding junk equity over years does not turn it into gold. Smart 'investing' is not about how long you hold your position, but the yield. What shall it profit you to hold a stock for two years when it has never moved in the last 18 months? It does not make sense to me.

Pull out any fundamentally strong stock and look at its technicals over the last year. You will never find a straight slope.

To answer your question. If I make 30% (or less) on a single stock, what follows depends on what I see on the charts.

You all seem to miss part of my last post. I do not have need for the money in January, but I cant hold any one stock if I buy now, past then, unless I see room. The fund is there indefinitely, with the intention of increasing it even.
Elai147: Oga Kashif, abeg make we no let our angry grow annoyed... Oga manie forget say everybody pocket no be the same. Abeg no vex.

Oga Manie, not everyone can sacrifice 1 million Naira just to build portfolio na. Some speculators prefer to trade with the money until it gets to N5 million which is not far from possible in the NSE... with faith though...
Vex ke? for my oga? You want make he sack me??

I am here to learn from the gurus, but I am not a novice.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Kashif(m): 3:27pm On Oct 17, 2013
manie: It is not discouraging, a speculator called Kashif said he has N1 million to speculate in the market. I advices him to invest in his financial education, invest regularly and invest in good company for the long term. He said he does not do long term investment, he wanted to invest for just 3 months.

Anybody that wants his money in 3 months will save himself a lot of stress by investing in TB. At his stage it will be better if he works hard at building his portfolio, rather than think that the stock market is a casino.
manie, A speculator is by no means seeing the stock market as a casino. Gamblers do! There are millions of speculators out there, and they make money.I still do not see anything wrong with not wanting to keep any particular stock beyond three months. All stocks do not move at the same time; timing matters! Being able to buy near valleys and selling near peaks is what am looking at. I don't need the money in January so, I can keep turning the funds there indefinitely if opportunities keep presenting themselves.

There are many investment styles, and none is superior to the other; it is just subjective. I have sub-zero idea about TB BTW undecided.

Thanks again.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Kashif(m): 12:49pm On Oct 17, 2013
manie: your success in this venture will not be determined by how much you have, but how prepared you are to learn, your level of financial education, patience and the God factor.
Thanks for your comment, and advise noted. I am good at technicals, with a little fundamental blend. I am not interested in long term investment(the dividends I still get is not up to 20k).

The reason I mentioned the fund at my disposal was because it would aid my prospective adviser. I have penny stocks with weak fundamentals. I have learnt my lesson and now know that patience is a virtue. I would rather sit on my money than repeat those errors.

Thanks again.

Please, I will need help from gurus here on broker and stock picks, to be held till January next year. 1M is in fallow. Many thanks.
