Mumu Nigerian Trump supporters dem, better go get that US Visa and be on a plane to go take up arms and join the resistance. Trump needs to be gone, he is a virus and a very wicked and dishonest man. The GOP will be fine as a party, but Trumpism (Trump's own form of leadership) needs to be dealt with once and for all. I agree with some of his take, but he is such a dishonest and acerbic character. With the Supreme court firmly in conservative cruise control, I know some of the unpopular federal laws will be overturned and that is a huge win for true conservatives. I have never liked the democrats style of trying to impose their will on the states, trying to spread California's way of life on Missisipi and Alabama. As much as the latter states are some of the most racist places on earth that you will find, still America is a republic and there is a reason why they prefix the United States... In 4 years, I am confident the GOP can seize back control of the White House, they need the right candidate, in my view a moderate republican and I am certain they have a number of good candidates. |
People keep saying Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a major figure in and for the Yoruba nation and I usually ask how? How? How?? How ![]() I do not ask this out of hate, I ask out of curiosity because in the case of Awolowo I can fully understand if you say he was a major figure for Yoruba people. However, for Tinubu I can never understand this. So I ask, what exactly has Bola Ahmed Tinubu done for the Yoruba people that makes him a major figure for the Yoruba nation? |
These are lies. In the states under contention, mail-in ballots are the last ones being counted. Democrats are more likely to use this means of voting than Republicans for a variety of reasons. And from experience, most of these type of ballots are from areas that poll in favour of democrats. This is why Trump is crying foul, he knows he has lost the election and he will try to head to court to ask that counting of these mail-in ballots be discontinued after today. He will allege fraud, even though no evidence of fraud from the democrat side. Infact the only evidence of voter fraud relating to mail-in ballot was for a Republican candidate in North Carolina. The person was charged. Trump is mentally unstable. Before the election, he had promised to challenge the results in court if not in his favour. If you believe that the elections are rigged because he is somehow no longer leading, then you are in the same mental place as him. GoodBoi1: |
I have predicted that soon enough we will ask Rwanda and Botswana for a loan. I was laughed at and ridiculed. That day will soon come. |

As much as Bode George of all people should not even be talking, did you ask if what he said is even true? Here you are talking about career auditor blah blah blah, dude, everyone and their mother knows Tinubu is a thief, don't come here trying to launder his image thinking we are fools. Yes he may do some of his stealing by the book, but that does not make it acceptable. Agreed he is an investor however anyone with half a brain knows clearly those companies are just fronts where he washes his dirty money. We know how it works, we are not moved. His dealings can never stand up to full scrutiny which is why the court where his recent Alpha Beta case is being tried was conveniently attacked by mob, documents related to his specific case burnt and/or missing. I always knew you were on Tinubu's payroll, you just pretty much confirmed it. Only a dumb person incapable of independent thought would post what you posted. TecM0: |
Anytime, and I mean, Any given time Nigerian politician (of any extraction and religion) talks about restructuring, I just yawn and go back to sleep. Everyone with a head knows El-Rufai would like to be President of Nigeria. It is his constitutional right to aspire no doubt and he will say these things aloud so as to identify with the people of South western Nigeria whilst assuring his kinsmen in private of the direct opposite. And Fayemi, seemingly has joined the ranks of career politicians hence his lending himself to be the useful idiot, the perfect tool to fulfill their aim, a Yoruba Christian. The only people who can demand and eventually effect restructuring are the Nigerian people, specifically of southern extraction. What has held this back has been the naivette of the average Yoruba man coupled with the disunity among southern nigeria tribes, do not worry that is all coming to an end very soon. |

Thank you for providing the much needed insight. sooperrescue: |
I know Nigerians have amnesia, which is what our leaders rely on and correct me if I am wrong but was this road not awarded during Fashola's tenure. It was a tenuous topic during his 2nd term debate where Dr Dosunmu raised the issue that they awarded the road at 1billion naira per kilometre. Anyone with relevant info, kindly update. |
I can understand why you believe what you typed but to think the Trump Administration is a force of good vs evil globalist forces out there is to admit how limited your knowledge horizon is. I will suggest you read more, learn more and have an open mind rather than spend all your time on white supremacist websites who are masquerading themselves as well meaning christians. There are advantages and disadvantages to Globalism as there are to Nationalism. One is not necessarily better than the other. I could even argue that globalism is responsible for some of the things you as an individual enjoys today. Are you aware that corporations run the USA, and I mean both parties in the USA. Please how do you think corporations became so rich and powerful, you think it was by supporting nationalist ideas? It is sad that you cannot see Trump for who he truly is; a conman and a racist disguised as a populist and nationalist. If he did believe in his nationalist ideas, please tell me why would he be trying to setup hotels across the world and sub-contract some of his own company's manufacturing to china? Before you label me an anti-christ, go and read, learn and keep an open mind while doing so. Now I get that you are in love with all things Trump but then every once in a while it never hurts to understand what you are supporting. Do not just listen to what is retorted, read and make up your own mind. Righteousness89: |
Ofcourse it is his inalienable right to contest, just as it is my inalienable right to choose not to vote for him. His candidacy is DOA - Dead on Arrival Nigerians do not need an experienced politician, a political godfather, a corrupt and morally bankrupt individual who will stop at nothing just to access power. Nigerians need a revolutionary leader who will lead the call to restructure the country, not somebody who utters the word restructuring when it suits his narrative but says nothing when it does not. |
Before you criticise, read carefully what the man said. Capacity being the keyword there. More like saying this is what we can produce but it does not mean we are actually producing it. Even if we do produce it, looking at our transmission and distribution capacity, you can see clearly where the problem is. This statement by the Minister of Power may be factually correct but it is the typical speaking without saying anything. The average Nigerian does not care about generation capacity, the average Nigerian cares about available power within his household and business. |
Curses no dey catch crowd, only individual. missionmex: |
But sir, in condemning the evil, we have to criticise them. Since afterall they are the vessel that the evil is using. Righteousness89: |
I agree, they were kept for the rainy day. |
Here is what I know, if the Lagos state government do not have anything to hide, by now the actual footage as recorded by the CCTVs they claim were never removed should be released to the public. It has been roughly a week now and no footage. Or did the cameras not record because there were rumours of a backup generator. Unless ofcourse they intend to edit the footage or doctor it. I guess we will wait and observe. |
Revenge is a dish best served cold. No worries Mr Tinubu, we await you at the next election cycle. |
These sort of curses only work if the oba is a good and an upright man and if his hands are clean. Otherwise, they are just blowing hot air. |
Lagos needs 1 trillion naira for reconstruction and will be spent as follows 500 billion for Tinubu 100 billion for Lagos APC 100 billion for Alpha Beta 100 billion for Sanwo Olu 100 billion for Oba of Lagos 100 billion for the businesses that were looted |
Time to play the blame and witch hunt game where many innocents will be hunted down and used as scapegoats. |
That just goes to show you that power is transient and nothing lasts forever in this life of ours. Rebekah029: |
It is true we should not encourage this. But it is also true as Newton's 3rd law of motion states, to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Politicians loot the commonwealth of the people, the people take back what was stolen from them. Nothing spoil. Omoluabi16: |
Bros as much as I don't support the on-going chaos, I think you are quite harsh with your words. Are you saying ALL the palliatives across the country or are you referring to the one found in Edo. Kindly shed more light, thanks. Jones4190: |
Again kudos to the Lagos state government for taking the lead where it can. No blame shifting. Now the government needs to embark on reforms within it's own power and ensure they are genuine and honest. Kazim88: |
I get you perfectly. I actually know a friend whose recently retired in-law had his security door business burgled during an IPOB protest in Aba. They stole over 50 doors and left just 2. This was 4 or 5 years ago. The man a retired customs officer decided has since been diagnosed hypertensive. I am sure there are many more of such cases. My point is in every country and society on earth, you will always find miscreants and criminals. They usually take advantage of genuine protests to create chaos and loot. This is wrong and must be condemned whether it is happening in Kano or Calabar or Ilorin or Ibadan. But I still insist that these events are a symptom of the much larger problem we face and until we restructure Nigeria, I am afraid these things will always be there. mekaboy: |
No one brought tribe into the discussion, you did. You are the person making it about one tribe versus the other or one tribe being better than the other. Everyone can read what the governor's Twitter handle says, no one needs your interpretation. Commendable on the part of the Lagos State Government however I hope they do not use this as a means of further looting public funds. Do what needs to be done but do not forget, there are a lot of other areas that need attention, particularly the roads in inner lagos. Restructuring Nigeria is the only real solution to most of the problems that face us today. TecM0: |
Unfortunately, I do not believe in Nigeria or its election process. We need to restructure the country not try in vain to make it work. Nothing is working, nothing will work. It is systemic not because of anyone politician. If you like put Jesus or Prophet Muhammed in that seat in Aso Rock, the resutls will be the same.

|
You are right, it is the never do well in society that are responsible for this. But guess what, Nigeria is a country of 200million, these never do well you refer to are atleast 120million strong spread across the entire country. These never do well you refer to were not born from their mother's womb as never do well. They are people who society has given up on and there are a lot of them. I am not excusing violence and chaos. I abhor it, I condemn it in the strongest terms but we need to ask ourselves how did we get here. What can we genuinely do to fix this. I think restructuring Nigeria is the only option we have because clearly Nigeria is not working. elohim24: |
Before you know it, they will say he is igbo. Then when they find out he is truly Yoruba, they will call him a bastard. Hehehehehehe. Unfortunately we are wiser and will not fall for lies. Say no to looting and violence, Say yes to restructuring. Eriokanmi: |
