I thought they said Obas were a diety, a spiritual being. Wonder why he did not wait use his made to conjure the protesters like Harry Potter. I read somewhere that they snatched the mace. This same Oba was the one saying Igbos can perish in the lagoon if they refuse to vote for Sanwo-Olu. Well I hope those youth toss that mace into the lagoon. |
It's like asking the cat you kept some fish with to look into why the fish disappeared. Even as you see fish remains all over the cats mouth. If they could abandon Sudan, Rwanda, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Congo and Angola, mschetwww, then I am I they'll just grab popcorn and watch us tear ourselves to pieces. The day we realise that we are black people are alone in this mess and all these meaningless petitions we sign online will never help us, is the day we start to set ourselves free. Which is easier, to prosecute SARS officers or to prosecute the soldiers responsible for yesterdays killings. I can answer, both are easy both nothing will be done. |
Can this guy simply just shut up. The more he opens his mouth to reel out these scripted lies, the more worse things get. We do not need empathy of any sort from any politician, We will sort ourselves out and be fine. But be rest assured that Karma knows everyone's house address and kindly extend this message to your overlord, Ahmed Tinubu. |
So in other words, the reason for the protest is because of disgruntled Yorubas, unsatisfied with Buhari's government. Poor reasoning on your part. You forget that Lagos is the most cosmopolitan city in Nigeria, there were Yorubas, Igbos as well as other tribes involved in that protest. The average Yoruba does not care how Buhari has chosen to run the country and the Yorubas within the APC in his government are quite satisfied with him from all indication. If this is your way of saying Yorubas deserve what they got because they support crocodile smile in SS and SE well Yorubas were not the only ones killed yesterday. And the Yorubas that supported crocodile smile were either ignorant or paid people who come online to spew rubbish. Either way, now is not the time to post such an insensitive statement. An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. I am Yoruba, when this was done to Shiites I protested in my own way. When it was done to IPOB members I protested in my own way. Now more than ever we all need to stick together and not allow the wedges, such as your statement, in between us. Cassandrax: |
The last set of people we should be hearing from right now are politicians from both parties. That things have deteriorated this bad is a clear indication of failed leadership at every level but leadership has been failing us over the years, it did not start with Buhari (I am not a Buhari supporter, I despise him for all he stands for) nor did it start today. We need to agitated for restructuring, with a view to eventually splitting. It is the first step in the right direction. Anything short of this is only a scam that will be short lived before things go back to business as usual. |
The idiot really thinks that useless divide and conquer tactic will work as usual. Trying so desperately to pit Igbo against Yorubas. You see clearly that these faceless commenters are paid henchmen of these useless politicians. In the coming days, watch out for how they will spin this. First they said Hezbollah was sponsoring #EndSARS. Now its IPOB in Lagos because they hate Yorubas and Hausas so much. Then they will say it is the fault of the opposition party PDP. They will keep shifting blame around but they will never take responsibility. Nigeria is a failed state because of the useless leaders we have and it is not going to change unless the people take a firm stance. Restructuring is the only real first step in the right direction. Kestolove: |
So bode george paid the protesters at lekki to be gunned down. Then he orchestrated the events that have followed? That is your own submission in all that is happening. APC vs PDP abi Cyberterror: |
He gave his consent no doubt, but the order to execute came from Buhari. They are both complicit in the matter together with Sanwo-olu. jerseyboy: |
Brother, he was most likely ratted out by his colleagues. FEGEITOK: |
We need to raise money for him to afford him good legal representation. He did no wrong and we cannot clearly identify he is the one in the video.
The Nigerian army through their official Twitter handle claims to have apprehended the masked soldier who made a video to warn his colleagues not to harm citizens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNMAa1RdAeY https://twitter.com/HQNigerianArmy/status/1318804121739251712?s=19
|
I advice lagosians boycott this stupid, irrelevant election. Leave Tinubu to vote for himself. |
The wretched soul is in France presently all the while denying he owns LCCI (the company that operates the Lekki toll gates). Also, he denies knowing anything about soldiers or giving the order. Saying people do not understand what they read on social media and believe everything. I call BS on this. Tinubu can kiss whatever is left of his presidential ambitions goodbye. I have known this all along that he had dictatorial tendencies, I am glad it has been laid bare for all to see. Yorubas have seen clearly what he is capable of and we will not forget. I am not disappointed with Buhari, because he is who he has always been, an animal in human skin, in the words of Fela the great. This is the beginning of the end for the Nigerian project. Let's all continue to pretend that everything is normal. As it stands, even restructuring will no longer be a viable option with the way things are going. |
The last person we need to hear from or listen to are politicians who will try to use this sad event to say "hey, vote for me, I'll be the better alternative". There is no better alternative, restructure this joke of country that is the only solution to what we have on ground. |
Exactly my point. QueenNemesis: |
Bros, the truth about what happened will be eventually exposed. Buhari was not the only person involved, I am certain Tinubu and his henchmen were. SalamRushdie: |
Brother, with what is on ground there can be no bloodless change. I do not subscribe to your idea of making this about 2023, please tell me what is in 2023? Vote for PDP, Vote for Atiku? Atiku abi as an alternative to Tinubu? So that same of same can continue same with little or no real changes. Perhaps you are too young to remember, or your memory fails you. Look Nigeria's problem will never be solved at the ballot, Nigeria needs to be restructured. This your statement "na who dey alive fit restructure" is exactly what we have lived by and has held us back for far too long. The fear of the unknown is what has killed and continues to hinder Nigerians by the numbers. Do you think if 50 million Nigerians took to the streets across major cities in Nigeria to demand change, there would not be change in this country. You really believe the police, soldiers, NSCDC can kill 50 million people. I laugh. You better look around Nigeria, there is barely nothing worth living for. Absolutely zero. I salute the courage of those who stood for what they believe in and I will continue to say it is only through this we can achieve any meaningful gain. ecolime: |
I hope the british follow suit, if they have not already. This mess started long ago with the useless country they decided to create. |
Bros, I don't subscribe to your solution sorry. This issue is not political, you are implicitly asking us to vote for PDP and I have said it severally on Nairaland and for all who care to listen, anyone who makes this about APC vs PDP is an enemy of Nigeria and as bad as Buhari and Tinubu. You want me to vote for the other useless political party that is simply lying in wait to continue what the present party is busy doing. I am not dumb bro. Nigeria's problems are structural and we must push for restructuring not some BS about voting for some candidate who is as useless as the present government (maybe to a lesser degree). We are tired of empty rhetoric, it is time for real change not incremental negligible gains. iddonla: |
Forget the past, let us focus on the future and restructure the country in a bid not to end up with useless leaders that are not representatives of people's wishes. einsteino: |
Bros, it is too late for your preaching. It is now or never, if we retreat we lose momentum and we gain nothing. This government has no intention of reforming the police. This government has no intention of changing anything. But I don't put it on the present government alone, i am a student of history and I know the main problem is with how this country is structured. The only solution to what is on ground is to restructure Nigeria. And that is what we all must press for. ecolime: |
You are a useless person. 360degreess: |
I trust my igbo brethren, always on standby to stand for what they believe in. God will continue to help you guys. Stand against oppression, Stand against bad governance, Stand so that your children can have a chance of a better tomorrow and God will bless you. We cannot pray our way out of this, this is what will end Nigeria eventually, it will not be peaceful but in the end it would have been worth it. Not for us, this generation is gone already, anyone above 20 may not live long enough to see the rewards, but atleast the younger generation can have a chance of a better tomorrow. Stand well my brothers, whether we live or die, God has our backs. |
House Neegars dey go meet Massah dem to give situation report. Kindly deliver the message and deliver it loudly, this is the beginning of the end to all of your BS. INTERNATIONAL MOTHERF_O_R_K_E_R_S! |
You are a typical symptom of the typical problem of what it is to be a Nigerian. Did you read your own statement? "Sanwo-olu has tried" implying he has stomached the protesters abi, normally if he did not try he should have unleashed security apparatus on them to forcefully remove them nevermind the fact that they are exercising their constitutional right. "They have been tolerated" meaning the idiots, the riff raffs have been tolerated abi, they are overdoing it abi, they have tried the government has heard them abi. I guess the people have not tried enough by enduring police brutality, corrupt government upon corrupt government, bad infrastructure and steadily being lied to. I guess they are just stupid people who don't know what they are doing. You are a problem unto yourself and unto your generation. And I hope your evil statements catch up with you eventually. bolaayenimo: |
You best put this one on Buhari and Tinubu, in that order. |
F_c_u_k_i_n_g clout chaser hahahahahaha |
I have said this before and I am saying it again for all who care to listen. What we should be agitating for is an end to bad governance and restructuring the country. The minute you make this about APC vs PDP or Buhari must go, you have alienating alot of people who you need to be on your side. I dislike Buhari as much as the average Nigerian but Buhari did not cause all the problems we face today, he did amplify them no doubt. But if you like sack Buhari and put Atiku, even bring back Jonathan, the end results will still be the same. The main cause of our problems is the ruling elite taking advantage of the rotten Nigeria system, restructuring or splitting Nigeria is the only real way out of the conundrum we face. |
Bros, this protest is not about Buhari. If you ask Buhari to go, you risk alienating well meaning protesters. I dislike Buhari even more than you do but the problem Nigeria has cannot be localised on one leader alone. If you like put Jesus or prophet Muhammad in that seat, the results will be the same. Restructuring is what we must clamour for or a split. If you say Buhari should go, I assure you anyone you have in mind for President of this rotten country will achieve same results. The problems are systemic, the issue is with the way we are structured. gregyboy: |
If you believe this cock and bull story, then you can believe anything. |
