PoliticsRe: Boss Mustapha: Nigeria May Break Up, It Has Cracks by kayjay69(m):
Brother, you need to realise this one thing if you have not already.
Every single leader, to a varying degree, we have had since the inception of this so-called country played a part in ensuring we got to where we are right now.
I am not a supporter of the present leader that occupies Aso Rock but to let one (Obasanjo) off the hook while villifying another (Buhari) is a tad hypocritical. Obasanjo may have not had an ethnic lopsided cabinet, but I believe you are old enough to remember how he consistently thwarted the rule of law, how he ensured his party, the PDP, rigged elections in states not under their control using INEC, the police and the army in some cases, how infact the two elections that brought him into power were massively rigged, how he engaged in corruption himself (Power Projects, NNPC, I can go on). You can argue that he did some good in some regard, but you cannot argue that the many wrongs he did paved the way for men like Buhari to emerge.

You are totally right about these useful idiots we call leaders calling on prayers knowing fully well that faith without works is dead according to the bible. They know what needs to be done, but like all men spellbound by the wanton lust for power and money, they are afraid to lose that which they think they have. I have consistently maintained that Nigeria, and by extension, Nigerians as it is presently constituted has no business being together. We all need to start adjusting to that reality. We need not wait for the leaders thieves who have looted the country dry to come and tell us what is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.
Racoon:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/present-cracks-may-lead-to-nigerias-breakup-osinbajo-warns/%3famp=1

See the wicked hypocrisy of the so called leaders in Nigeria? This nation has ever been a failed experiment & thoroughly divided entity from antiquity yet they keep on lying & deceiving themselve that Nigeria's unity is not negotiable.

Imagine them taking of prayers.Even God's word said "Can two walk together, except they agree" -(Amos 3:3) and "How blessed it is when brethren dwelleth together in unity"(Psalms 133). Developed nations of the world didnt evolve only via prayers but peaceful separation e.g.former USSR, Yugoslavia-Bosnia, North & Southern Sudan & now the UK etc.

OBJ was called the "divider on chief".Meanwhile the sitting president is simply the most bigoted & parochial type Nigeria has ever had. When ordinary Nigerians said this, the govt will tagged them as enemies of state or proscribed them as terrorists. So since there are more irreconcilable differences than what unite us,then it is advisable to breakup in peace.

@ Garba Shehu, Femi Adeshina & all the hireling zombies of the govt, what has changed now? Are Osinbajo, Boss Mustapha now wailers too? The worst thing that can destroy leaders is refusing reality or telling them what they only like to hear.Abacha fell in this category.

PoliticsRe: Obaseki’s Edo Victory: Tinubu Failed To Learn From History - Premium Times by kayjay69(m): 5:31am On Sep 22, 2020
A few days to the election, Mr Tinubu made and circulated a video wherein he called Mr Obaseki a dictator. He appealed to the Edo electorates to reject the governor at the polls. He also described himself as the leader of all democrats in the country, an appellation that angered some leading politicians and political observers in the country.

The loaded hypocrisy in this statement could last a thousand lifetimes, and still there will be some hypocrisy left over.
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Youth Forum (YYF): Tinubu Has Sold His Integrity On The Altar Of Politics by kayjay69(m): 4:11pm On Sep 21, 2020
Agreed, he is all you said he is and even much worse.
But I will never support or celebrate PDP, APC or any political party for that matter.

Look the sad part is there is really no difference between both parties (u may disagree and then I'll conclude you are benefitting from one of them or you are ignorant) and this is the main problem. We started as a burgeoning democracy with multi-parties which meant the people could choose from an array of candidates based on their manifesto. Atleast in theory, this was how it was meant to be. Today we are a one party system, never mind the iterations in alphabets representing the acronyms of both parties we have, they are one in the same.

The Nigerian party system are made up of individuals who have their own agenda which usually is not in tandem with the agenda of the Nigerian people (sometimes I also ask myself if the Nigerian people really have an agenda). So my brother, PDP, APC or whatever else they bring next, it is all the same and I would not be so fast to celebrate.

But come to Nigeria we have herdsmen as Chief justice we have herdsmen as president cattle ranchers in our senate and touts leading our various states

Observe Nigerians abroad they try to abide by everyday benign rules but the Nigerians in the Nigerian society hmmm

Make Una use Una eye and ear see well oh look at poverty rate in Nigeria and standard of living and education in the herdsmen area Vs The Other Nigerians area

Look at the value placed on life in the herdsmen area Vs rest of Nigeria

See it is bad everywhere but make we try keep herdsmen out of our Government offices and back in their ranch where they belong.

I think it goes without saying really, if these foreign countries want to help us (though I know to help us is not in their thinking), they can do two things for us

1) ban any Nigerian politician complicit with fraud and corruption even whilst rejecting their ill-gotten wealth (this one go hard),

2) this travel ban and in addition placing them on some sort of blacklist or criminal list.

But then, I know I am dreaming.

YESTERDAY WAS THE D-DAY!!

We look back on our post for the past 90 days about this election.
We cannot help but smile, relax and be happy that the election went peacefully and Edolites truly voted wisely yesterday.
Now, we are all relaxing and waiting for the FINAL RESULT/OUTCOME of this election.
May the best candidate that will bring progress to Edolites win.
May the person that will bring happiness and smile to the faces of every indigene of Edo State become victorious.
Overall, we thank God that it was a very peaceful election and no life was lost.

God bless Edo State.
God bless Nigeria.

Reminiscent times..........

THANKS y'all for all coming out to vote and for taking our wise words to heart.
Slow and steady Nigeria will be great again
A better Nigeria all around is all we want.
Peace out!

******* ********* *********
******* ******

Even as we wait for the final Outcome of the result in TOTALITY.
Let us say in addy,
Congratulations Edolites,

Let us expressly say that Obaseki didn't win this election based on his performance or love for the PDP.
APC played into the hands of the opposition and 3 major things we think played against APC:

1. Oshiomole already dented Pastor Ize-Iyamu's image seriously and praised Obaseki to high heavens in 2016 so the PDP didn't invest so much on PR or Image laundering.
Oshiomole already gave them what they needed to campaign about both candidates.

More of the reason we chose not to support either of the candidates from 'Day 2'.
And there is nothing outsiders support can do anyways. We can only type online,
It is what the indigenes want for themselves that really matter.
Not what outsiders are saying.

2. The election was painted like a power tussle between Godfatherism and the people of Edo.
This was emboldened by obvious influence of Oshiomole and the viral video made by Asiwaju Tinubu.

3. The hardship ocassioned by Covid-19 which was magnified by the ill-timed increase in pump price of petrol and electricity tariff.

We pray the people of Edo get rewarded with better Governance by Gov Obaseki but as
We said earlier,
this election more of a statement from the people than a victory for PDP.

Good Edolites have chosen who they want to lead them for the next 4 years.
All the very best guys.
A better Nigeria all over is what we want.

We finally Rise on Edo election matter.
Strolling to Ondo.
See you guys around.
God bless Nigeria.

It is a always good and refreshing to see that we have a President who does not intervene in the rule of law.

From Corruption, down to politics, Our darling Daddy always allow the rule of law to take charge...

Memory lane........
Elections In Nigeria now,
There is no need to fear.
Why? Because the will of Nigerians will not be subverted. Never! A President once told us in this country that the coming polls would be do or die.
Not with President Buhari. Fair is fair. No foul play. Under his watch, his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa(now twice), Oyo State, Zamfara state and Anambra states..... and still loading loading Maybe Edo state(still waitingfor the FINAL RESULT from INEC).
At the last Council of States meeting, Gov Willie Obiano publicly registered his appreciation to President Buhari, for the level playing ground he made available during the election in his state. With do or die apostles, and a certain political party in power, such would never happen. Not with their garrison mentality. All states are territories that must be conquered, willy-nilly.

APC has won gubernatorial positions under Buhari in Kogi, Ondo and Edo states, (Now losing same Edo again) The victories were fair and square.
The party lost in Bayelsa (twice), Zamfara, Oyo, Anambra etc.
This President would never manipulate victory for anyone, not even his own party.
And you ask us not to trust him?
We will, and no mistake.

God bless our darling Daddy President Muhammadu Buhari.
God bless Nigeria.

This above is for the kids that for the past few hours have been shouting about US, UK ban affected the results, all the states that was lost by the ruling party in recent times before any threat on sanctions (rightly so anyways) and the president accepted the People’s vote, was it also the US, UK that made APC lost the elections?
Gone are the days that we have mature men and women discuss politics on Nairaland in mature ways, but now, the politics section of the forum has been overtaken by kids and touts!

EducationRe: UNILAG Crisis: Babalakin Resigns, Faults President Buhari's Action by kayjay69(m): 2:00pm On Sep 18, 2020
As usual in typical Nigerian fashion, bunch of stupid individuals have come here to celebrate the removal of Babalakin, even though he was suspended and opted to resign.

Very few took the time to read his letter and to find out if he was on point, in typical Nigerian knee-jerk reaction fashion.

Some have even gone as far as to defend the removed VC labelling him as a child of God.

Rather than find out if the VC was guilty as accused, Rather than find out if Babalakin and the other committee members followed due process, as usual we have chosen to take sides in typical zombie fashion without even knowing the truth of the matter.

We forget that the real victim in all of this happens to be that institution of learning and by extension our education system. A very sad day for the entirety of Nigerians, a very sad day.

Tinubu has the experience in playing politics the Nigerian way, in my view, True.
Tinubu does not have the experience to lead Nigeria to where it ought to be, in my view, also True.

Leadership and Playing Politics are often mistaken as the same thing, in my view they are very different. I agree that being politically adept is a skill one needs in leadership, I contend it is not the only one.

Most Nigerian leaders, on all levels, are very skilled politicians but as we have come to witness that has not translated into any tangible result.
Being a true leader is much more than having henchmen that sing your praise and pocketing the entire resources of a state for yourself.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu: The Blood That Runs In My Veins Is Same That Runs In Every Nigerian by kayjay69(m):
In fairness to this very corrupt politician, he does make a good point.

If we were to take a step or two back from his statement and analyse carefully, there is alot of truth in what he said.

The average nigerian leader is a reflection of the average nigerian. The same blood of corruption, ignorance, wickedness, short-sightedness, wantoness, reckless abandon and selfishness that flows through the veins of Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu also flows through the average Nigerian. The only difference is the former is a man in power while the latter is a common man with no power hence his excesses are hidden from all.

We are who we are which is why we in our own ways continue to excuse away our leaders. It is why we are yet to fully demand change on all levels and why we continue to stomach them, take from them, praise them and secretly admire them, believing in a better tomorrow even as they steal today away from all of us.

This is my view of the average nigerian, not all nigerians.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Paul Enenche Responds To Daddy Freeze, Calls Him A Mad Dog And A Bastard by kayjay69(m): 1:45pm On Sep 12, 2020
I did not say whether Freeze's teachings were right or wrong. I only said if he has a difference in opinion with the Bishop he needs not insult him in the process.

To the best of my knowledge, Freeze is not an ordained minister of God or a pastor.

MiddleDimension:
You see, you need to understand one thing:
the mankind is on a journey. The journey is becoming a realized being. If you look at the history of the world and of Mankind, you will see this very clearly. The knowledge he has, not just the accumulation of information, brings him to a batter state of existence. Sometimes, the stumbling block could be religious or cultural teachings. So we need the likes of Daddy Freeze to help us break away from that miseducation peddled around by faith leaders. That is the job he is doing. Mention one of Daddy Freeze's teachings which he wasn't right on and show why he is not right.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Paul Enenche Responds To Daddy Freeze, Calls Him A Mad Dog And A Bastard by kayjay69(m): 10:59am On Sep 12, 2020
I get everything you have said my bro. I just feel like we all can have discussions such as these without having to resort to insulting one another.

I don't think Freeze should have insulted the Bishop and I don't think the Pastors should have responded to Freeze insulting him in the way they did. I also don't think the Pastor should have insulted the Gov of Kaduna although I would say that I would much prefer if Pastors traded blows with our leaders if it translates to meaningful change.

MiddleDimension:
My point is that they cannot stomach the insults they dish out to other people when it is dished out to them.
listen to this same Enenche attack El Rufai calling him a "demonic agent"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzx-V1PCccs
lastly, do you agree that enenche got it wrong when he said Daddy Freeze failed in marriage therefore, he knows nothing about marriage and he should not be giving advice on marriage?
Jesus was not married, neither was Paul and the Popes and Reverend Fathers who solemnize weddings. yet, they give advice on marriage.
Oyakhilome and Okotie are divorced. Does Enenche mean that these pastors should not advice anyone on marriage?
with this that i have said, do you agree that enenche was in fact wrong in this attack on Daddy freeze?
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Paul Enenche Responds To Daddy Freeze, Calls Him A Mad Dog And A Bastard by kayjay69(m): 9:46am On Sep 12, 2020
I agree Oyedepo is not a saint but remember neither is any man. I totally agree that the Pastors should not have resorted to replying Freeze not only because Jesus did not respond to his detractors but also because it is the more mature thing to do.

I am a christian, sometimes I have issues with how certain men of God preach or promote their brand of the gospel but it does not mean I will resort to insulting them. We must remember and the bible is pretty clear on this, even when men of God backslide or make mistakes, it is not for christians to insult them.

No one is above mistakes. In the end, everyone will answer to God and him alone. And mind you, these men of God we sometimes vilify have actually made positive impacts on the lives on a lot of people. So as much as they tend to make mistakes sometimes, if we balance it with the good they've done, I think they might get a pass.
MiddleDimension:
Let them bring on the fight!
the pastor doesn't read his bible!
most of his mentors in the bible all insulted the pastors and priests of their time. Jesus, Paul, Stephen etc, all did. so what is Enenche saying again?
Oyedepo is also not a saint. he doesn't waste time to lay curses upon those he perceives as anti christianity. he insults authority many times. he insults Buhari and the head of the CAC.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Paul Enenche Responds To Daddy Freeze, Calls Him A Mad Dog And A Bastard by kayjay69(m): 9:12am On Sep 12, 2020
Two wrongs have never made a right.

What Freeze did by calling Bishop Oyedepo the name he called him was wrong and uncalled for.

But everyone knows who the Bishop is and by now I believe most know what he stands for. You may or may not agree with his brand of christianity but it is what it is. Resorting to insulting the Bishop is unnecessary and uncalled for, he was only preaching the word to his congregation as he understands it. You agree, fine, You don't agree, all well and good.

As Africans we are raised to respect the elderly even if we do not agree with them. I still follow that code to this day.

This is where I fault Freeze and I fault him totally.

Pastor Paul and David really don't need to respond on behalf of the Bishop. It will further create more controversy than necessary.
Leave Freeze alone, ignore him sooner rather than later he will come to his senses.

As an african, sure I dislike Donald J Trump but his policies do not affect me directly because I am not one of his constituent. American intervensionism across the world has created and continues to create more problems than it can solve. These are facts, go figure if you care to learn.

As for being a christian, yes I am but unlike you I am not a blind one masquerading as a bigot. Christianity is more than a religion, it is a way of life however religion has done more harm than good to humanity since its inception. Men such as your daddy Trump will say anything and do anything if it keeps them in power for longer.

So my dear brother if being a christian is supporting a racist, lying, serial philanderer such as Trump, then I would rather be something or someone else. And if you still do not understand the message I am passing across but think I am this or that, then I humbly rest my case.
