emmaodet: Singing Fela - Palava u dey find, Palava u go see oooo
I think you have seen what you are looking for now, freedom. Freedom, to live your life, see any man you want to see, go in and out anytime you want. But you forgot one thing tour parent know which is the problem most youths have - Freedom is not cheap Freedom is not free after all Freedom comes with Responsibilities And the last which is the mist Important for you - With More Freedom, comes less Commitment.
Because when you have freedom, there is No accountability to anyone which leads to people becoming more and more loose. When under a guardian, you become accountable to them be it your parent, uncle, sister etc You can't just go to a party or a date and come in at night without them calling you, warning you or threatening you thereby putting you in check. Also, on average and on statistics, the average lady staying alone is more loose sexually, more promiscuous than the one under a guardian. Most men want loose women and women staying alone for their sexual desire but will opt for a woman who is under a guardian for marriage. And you also know it deep down that the number of sexual partners you have had as increased astronomically compared to when you were under your parent. You can deceive me and deny it but not yourself.
If you like double date or multi date, ti a ba so ada soke ni igba igba, ibi pelebe bayi ni o ma mu lele. If you throw up a cutlass a thousand times, it will always come down and settle in the flat position one thousand times, Never the pointed area. In other words, you will face similar challenges year in year out whether a single date or multi dating. Call them insecure, weaklings who can't handle an independent lady staying on her own, low self esteem guys, na u sabi. Nature is nature and won't change bcus of your opinion or your fellow ladies who are languishing is your similar state. There are more homely grown women under their guardians who can be married so why give myself headache on a woman who is not accountable to anybody? A very big recipe for disaster. Am sorry, if i have a daughter, she won't stay alone and if my wife had stayed alone when we were dating, am sorry i won't have married her. Call me uncivilized, weakling or insecure, na u sabi. Will a woman under a guardian guarantees been faithful? Of course not but the chances of her not been faithful increases astronomically when staying alone, not that she will anyway. If what you want is marriage, i think you made a wrong move but if what you want is independent and live your life the way you want it, then you are on the right track. |

TonyeBarcanista: The emboldened is pure nonsense (with due respect sir)!
A strong man is the man that lives to his conviction. He is not conditioned to accept things because he needs validation of people to be called a strong and real man.
As for the OP, I believe that she is economical with the truth. There is something that is missing in her story.
She can't expect her bf to trust her blankly without earning it. I suspect that he must have seen some conversation on her chats; and this promoted him to further investigate her. I also think that her action and "friendship" with other guys fuelled his action more.
I don't care what people think but I don't see what the man does as evidence of being insecure! In fact, any action taken by any man to safeguard his mental and emotional wellbeing is welcomed as long as it doesn't infringe on the right of the other party. It is left for the woman to clear his doubt (if indeed she has nothing to hide) or ship offfffffff!
Finally, no REAL man would allow himself to be blackmailed with "Insecure" tag This is the best comment so far........ People use ego to to blackmail men that is trying to stay true to himself........I won't lie I have been in the op's boyfriend scenario before......I dug because of inconsistences in her stories......and I thank God I was ahead of her disjointed stories/lies/excuses The op is not saying the truth.....and this days people justifying waywardness of females too much........ The op moved out of her parent's house to for what ? Meanwhile her boyfriend found out she had relationship while she is in her parent house back then from her Facebook chat...so why did she have to move out to be free ? Sometimes the standard these ladies are setting does not conform with their way of life. |

fuckpro: Wrong on the instrument part After getting your ppl (private pilot licence) You train for commercial pilot licence which involves instrument flying mainly and others
You may get a fixed wing non instrument commercial pilot licence but you won't be marketable no airline would hire you
So instrument license is not an option especially in fixed wings,I have seen commercial helicopter pilot without instrument license but not fixed wings
ATPL (Air transport pilot licence) is one earned after flying a number of thousand hours in a company and you are within reach of being a captain, you now go for both the written and flying test usually in USA
For some schools like 43rd air school in SA You can sit for an ATPL EXAM but the licence is frozen until you get the number of hours while working or building hours
ATPL is never an initial licence is for those who have the commercial flying time and experience As have said...instrument rating is not for novice as portrayed by the op......PPL, CPL, ATPL, type rating et al I know what it entails to get an ATPL You can only fly private with PPL I don't see what difference from what you quoted and what you typed...... |

Thank You Explorer. Explorer tried this time but some information are not totally correct and the procedure are not as listed....yes you can be a pilot without being a graduate......Nigeria is just certificate crazy..,..the ideal age to start a pilot career is 16/17....... instrument rating is not for novice, it for pilot with ATPL. Also it misleading to include geography as a needed subject..........as I have seen a boy that applied for geography during jamb registration as a prerequisite for his life Dream (becoming a commercial airline pilot) Its engineering course one needed...mechanical, Electrical et al To get employment in Nigeria is hard as a pilot, airliners prefers whites To get sponsorship by airlines is harder....however, Bristow is doing great in that regard. |

Crispels: ON A FINAL NOTE:
Dating abroad is totally different from dating in Nigeria. There are lots of cultural differences and you must really understand these differences before shooting any shot - otherwise: you will make terrible mistakes that may ruin your reputation, mental health and growth. You may even be hated and ghosted by certain people. In America for instance, dating apps is a big deal and things happen so fast - compared to Nigeria where on the average, things take longer.
If you are a Nigerian guy and you think it is the sole responsibility of your girlfriend(wife) to cook and take care of the family - then your stupi**d patriarchy mentality will fail you big time abroad. Most Nigerian - American girls dislike some Nigerian guys (particularly those who grew up in Nigeria) due to this kind of patriarchy and “male dominance” mentality. Many Nigerian - American girls as a result of strong upbringing by their families can cook really well(even our egusi and other Naija food) but they will hate you if you make it look like it’s their responsibility to cook for you all the time. You must also get to the kitchen - do the dishes, wash the meat, clean the tables and even cook some food as well! Everything is 50-50 in America!!! Your wife(or even girlfriend) is not your slave and it’s high time most Nigerian guys(even those based in Ibadan, Uyo, Kano and Enugu) start realizing this.
WE NEED TO TREAT OUR WOMEN LIKE QUEENS, JEWELS AND SUPPORT THEM IN THE KITCHEN, THEIR CAREERS AND IN EVERY OTHER AREA. The first thread is the reflection of the actual reality of Nigerian female home and abroad.....the fact is that; things have really changed....Nigerian men have always been responsive, responsible and committed but our women are becoming more entitled crazy, they want what they can offer themselves...... From personal experience with ladies in Nigeria and abroad (Canada precisely).....that why I understand what the first thread was talking about even beyond the text......but trust Nigerian women.....always defensive The truth is both genders in Nigeria always compare and contract what they have/situations to their perception from foreign movies........a system that is bias to marriage.......foreign TV programs is what is driving us mad in Nigeria.....hence the disappointment to our mental expectations. The Nigerian women are judgemental, rude, entitled, don't want to do anything for any guy, those that do must be sure you're up to a certain standard, to top it up, they perform below expectations, they give less value of what you invest in them and still be entitled on your aspiration.......on the other hand, Nigeria men also see what other foreign women does to their men as well..... The fear of Nigerian men is that.....considering our cultural expectations for men to be responsible for everything from start to finish in a relationship to Nigerian women....if we allow all the overseas law that support women against men........our society will become a disaster...... Even the equality in these developed country does not even make sense........imagine....the law protect women against any kind of assault........every sexual relationship between two adults is presumed to be consensual by law as far as there is no report of rape. at the same time considered one gender to be vulnerable......one expect a union to be dissolved/resolved without one part badly affected.........for example....a marriage that produced two kids should be shared to the spouse without one been indebted to the other party....... Nigerian men cooks, clean, wash dishes, pet kids even for a complete full house wife...... |

Since the beginning of this whole thing the pastors have been at the receiving end, most especially in Nigeria. Even the Chinese who are the most affected never see it as occasion to crucify the pastors among them.
n if I may ask you people, are the pastors the cause of this epidemic ?
What would you have them do
To go from street to street and be hunting for coronavirus patients so that they could heal them? Or, to bust into the isolation centers without formal invitations from the authorities in the name of wanting to prove the doubters wrong?
What do you want them to do exactly?
Are pastors your problems ?
The government made an order to stop large gatherings of people and these influential pastors choose to lead by example, and all you could do is to demand their heads.
Pls what is their sin excatly, bcs I don't understand ? Bcs I'm very disturbed about the rants all over NL against the pastors most especially, on any coronavirus thread !
Pls free these people, they are not your problem, neither are they the cause of the virus.
If the government needs their help, they will be invited and if they refuse to show up, then that'll be a different case....... Actually they are part of our problems They encourage wishful expectation and promote mediocrity Only if we could team up to build the nation the way and manner we do to build religion houses, atleast....our economic problems won't be this much. |

cheango: *Below are submissions of three professors of radiation physics in UI copied from Science Faculty platform to debunk the narratives in the trending audio on 5G*
*Dr Popoola*
The man who made this audio message can be likened to someone who is interpreting a strange language he has never studied. He does not know what he's saying. In a simple language, the so called 5G (fifth generation) is a transmission at far higher frequency range than 4G. This feature implies transmission of greater quantum of energy (signal) per time, hence heavy data (such as images) will download faster and will be transmitted at higher resolution. Meanwhile this may require more booster antennas at closer ranges in order to travel very far because high frequency signals get attenuated faster than low frequency signals. In short 5G will be able to accommodate larger data than 4G. Generally, people have always displayed some fear each time a new technology arose. The fear attributed to mobile technology is that the signals (waves) are injurious to humans. Meanwhile all mobile signals most fall within microwaves (extreme end of radio waves) which are non ionizing radiations. Ionizing radiations like x-rays and gamma rays have far higher frequencies and exposure to human body may be injurious. However are not used for mobile telecommunication. The man's use of the word 'radioactive' reveals that he is completely ignorant of what he claims to be explaining. The word Radioactive is from Radioactivity which is a completely different phenomenon from radio wave. Technology is more than speculation. It is a product of basic scientific theories.
*Prof Farai:*
I remain proud of you Tunde. Just look at the confidence with which he was talking nonsense. I was just wondering how I would present a rejoinder in a language that we will all understand and without sounding know it all. You have captured all with the appropriate words. It is now up to anybody to allow him/herself to be misled. God bless you richly, my brother.
*Prof Jibri:* I really don't understand over stretching of a simple scientific matter. Simple basic physics which our Prof. Farai has laid to rest for us as a guru in Radiation business. Use E = hf from modern Physics and the frequencies or the wavelengths of the regions for the G's what amount of energy do you arrive at. Just like Prof. Farai said, mixing up non-ionizing radiation source to be Radioactive is a simple QED ignoramus!!
*Prof Farai* I hope we will all understand the nonsense in this video from this simple explanation. Communication networks of whatever G, for now and in the near future, are generally in frequencies of the order of Giga Hertz (GHz or 10⁹ Hz). Thank God the video revealed this much. Meanwhile, the bulk of energy from the sun (solar radiation) is in the UV frequency range (i.e.10¹⁵ Hz). Now I ask, how can mankind, who has been bathing under the shower of UV radiation from the sun over the ages, now be under any threat of a radiation of energy over 1 million times less energy than UV radiation? That is one point. Most importantly for us on this platform, there is no application of a technology that is not under any regulatory control by international bodies made up experts from all parts of globe. Most of us have one thing or the other to do with such bodies as WHO, ICNIRC, UNSCEAR, etc. If they are unaware of the fears expressed in this video or have been compromised, then we are all guilty. We should stop attending their programmes. |

Those referring to you as an ingrate knows nothing and has experienced nothing of such.......they are probably team of bandwagon for gender equality advocate who justifies woman actions with unreasonable reasons and downplays it ripple effect in the long run.......ignore them.
