Bleep! Not someone else again! ![]() What of our "dear beloved IBB" ? ![]() |
Na today? As an under-gee in those days, we see our female colleagues "enter solid ride on Friday, only to return around 9am on Monday morning"! Next thing is they enter with "very red eyes" and start sleeping in class and you wonder whether weekend was not for resting!! ![]() Yet they want to pass by all means? Now did l hear someone blaming Mr. Lekishurer? ![]() I just dey pity the kind "hardworking guy" wey go put dowry on-top these set of "expired prostitutes", dey yarn say im don marry wifey! Our society is really gone crazy, walahi! BTW: These shameful behavior borne out of greed is certainly NOT among all University females, there are a very "tiny fraction" of them that come from good homes and dont suffer from "aristomiasis" |
Lets all relax, its not a "war of class". First, whatever you "came out with" in your first degree, is what you came out with, thats what you DESERVE, given the "circumstances" at which you operated! Again, for a lot of reasons (diet, genetics, training, "resources invested by parents", environment, teenage exuberance, lack of focus, e.t.c), you may not be as "intellectually sound" as that other person you're comparing yourself with! Some people are, simply put, "naturally smart and academically brilliant", unfortunately, l dont fall into that category! . That you made a 3rd class in your first degree does not mean you're "finished" academically (Ask the Wole Soyinka's or the Bill Gates of this world). Challenge yourself, if you think "you're better" than that 3rd class you made at Bachelors level. I have seen a 3rd class mathematics student who enrolled for JAMB again and came out with 1st class Accountancy afterwards! But then, even though the "class" matters a lot and RESPECT should be given to those who worked hard and earned it, in the "Business World", performance is much more than just the "class" you achieved at the University! No beefing one another here, "ibi ori dani'si la'gbe! (it is where your destiny puts you that you should make the best of, literally speaking) @Duke4ever This is just for YOU ONLY: I also want to encourage you, as l can feel your determination! I am way into my PhD programme and l can tell you that l also finished with a 2-2! I lecture full time and part time students too as part of the Doctoral degree requirements but l have kept my job in the "industry" as well. What l did was to take a "good look" at my abilities and l came to the conclusion that "l could do better" than what l reflected in my 1st degree, (ignorance, truancy and football costs me a "better class" in my first degree! And l dey "mojoo" no be small too! ![]() First, l applied for a PGD programme to "mask" that Bsc qualification and really showed what l am capable of! The following year, based on an astounding PGD results, l put in for an MSc and rapped it up in standard one year. I took to some low-level jobs in the mean time, so that l can put food on the table (No marriage for me yet! )I then put in for an MBA programme as l wanted to fit in the business world proper. That too, l did within the two years and was a distinction student. I then secured a very lucrative job with one of the top salary private organizations in Nigeria (l am trying to remain anonymous as much as possible, you know ).After working for a few years, l enrolled for my PhD, using my "post-BSc qualifications and work experience". I hope to finish soon but remember, l was just an ordinary 2-2 graduate! If l can make such "progress", YOU CAN DO BETTER! Be focused, be ready to sacrifice for what you believe in and "sleep, dream and wake-up" to that your set goal. YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT SOONER THAN YOU THINK. Goodluck. Lastpage. I would have loved to send this message to you as a "P.M" but l have not been able to use that stuff here on N/Land! I dont feel comfortable discussing my private life openly like this! (Two FaceBook guys just got 4yrs for "advertising U.K Riots Every other person should please disregard the above message, its utter rubbish. |
^^^daddee has a very valid point o! All the same, it takes more than just cramming to earn a 1st Class; You still have to be good, even if its at cramming or is cramming that easy? ![]() I have noticed too that Second Lower people tend to be "all rounder" in later Life. Not brilliant but not too dull, they are very determined to "prove a point after graduation" and tend to buckle-up real good. Some fell to 2nd-lower not because they are not good but because they played-away during those early University days (and you know, G.P.A once destroyed in yr 1 & 2, is ten times more difficult to rebuild!). On the other hand, "some" 1st-Class" may take it easy, after school thinking their Certificates should speak for them! If l had to hire, which will l employ? 1st Class or 2nd -Class? I will judge them by their "present attitude" to work, keen-ness, flair and intuitiveness. The work place is a different ball game entirely! BTW: Those organizations that screen-out 2nd Class students dont really know what they are missing! |
dadee has a very valid point o! |
The problem with LASU goes far deeper than just the Part-Time Programme! This is a school that gets shut-down for three-quarters of the academic year, every year! Its either they are fighting LASG or they are fighting themselves (Lecturers) or the Cultist have machete everyone in sight! A year ago, it was even "Juju" (Yes, Juju, in a citadel of learning! ) that was placed everywhere on Campus and a few people l know personally, died as a result (Ask any LASU student about these things).Mediocrity is the watch-word in academic appointments, only people with Political affiliation to ACN (Tinubu, Fashola, e.t.c., gets the juicy posts!). What do you expect from such an institution? I dont know if it is the "second/final term syndrome" but Guv'nor Fashola, as much as l admire him, is taking a lot of rash, ill-thought out decisions of recent! Why must it be the "innocent students" who have coughed out large sums of money, be made the scape-goat or are they entitled to a refund of money and time wasted? Like "funmeme" (l like that name sha ) and "Jimmy Boy" have suggested, you should not throw the baby away with the bath-water.Restructure the school. Put competent people in core-positions. Remove Politics completely from the administration of that school. Lets hope the Gov'nor will "sleep over' his decision and get sound advice from his people. BTW: What will happen to our likeable Deputy Gov'nor of Lagos now, who is a year 2 student of the Agege Campus of the same Part-time programme? Madam, abeg speak to Fashola on your own behalf naah or is it a case of O-Y-O? (On your own!) |
If you POOR! Problems!! If you rich small! Wahala!! ![]() Wetin dey happin for dis Naija sef? What about the "looting" Politicians? How come una never k*d.n*p them? ![]() BTW: Someone asked the Pastors / G.O's / Ministers / e.t.c to "see vision" and help us locate Papa Mike? Naaah, except you promise them a share of the booty, "Gawd has refused to speak to them this time around"! ![]() Mumu-cious citizens! ![]() |
Sexsinners, what you suffer from is a "complex form of insecurity". Your G.Friend is not the problem: YOU are the problem. You have a very low "self-worth and self-esteem"! Otherwise, your G.Friend should be the one worrying about a more beautiful babe, SNATCHING YOU from her! I would say focus on yourself a little more, live for something, develop core qualities in yourself, "achieve and succeed" in everything you do. Be a real man, a ladies man and you would even avoid it, when your girl wants to tie you down with marriage! Its proven and age-tested, believe me. BTW: You should feel a little shame, impregnating does not stop cheating on a lover, or dont you think they've learnt to "top-it-up" by doing it from behind? |
Whoever told you Privatization (is) did not work in Nigeria? ![]() Okay, Go ask Mallam El Rufai, He was the CEO of Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE) that sold Nigeria-off to OBJ, himself and his own Cronies! I bet he's gat a very good ANSWER for ya'll. |
All the years gone-by, OBJ did not write (about 4yrs now)! He could have written his "column" on Sahara Reporters, He could even have availed himself of the Nigerian Village Square (the likes of Pat Utomi, Abati, Wole Soyinka, e.t.c write there, l do too!) No, Baba wants to write in a Newspaper! How would WE then "appraise and critique" his write-Up? Please ask Baba to write in "Digital media" where "response" will be swift and fast coming! ![]() BTW: When you sit down and "tell a Story" like "Not my will or Nzeogwu, e.t.c" and some "paid reporter/writer" writes it down and edit it on your behalf, that makes you an "Author" (in the mold of the likes of Chinua Achebe, Wole Soynka, Reuben Abatti, e.t.c.), right? Well, everyone on Nairaland is then qualified to be called an "Author"! |
Thank you V-E-R-Y M-U-C-H Coogar I was just about responding to Okunoba's post, when l saw yours. Well-put! It is wrong to equate "violence" with "discipline", especially when it relates to child-upbringing! The difference is the "intent". Discipline does not intend to inflict injury, it is not out of malice or hatred, it is not done with excessive force. It is meant to be applied "sparingly, mildly, with love, as a "re-inforcer" of some admonition which has been verbally-repeatedly administered without success. And when you administer the cane (on that rare occasion), you need to first explain to the child why that "extreme measure" is the only option left NOW and even more importantly, after the "mild caning", as a parent, you MUST bring the child back into your "Love and Confidence" by soothing him with sweet words and encouragement, letting him know how much you love him and how you also feel his pain. At this point, even the child knows the caning is not violent otherwise, l guess we would all have loathed and hate our parents who spanked us when it was necessary but as you would observe, most peeps are grateful to their parents, for such discipline! Now, we cannot escape the few parents who abuse this method (mostly due to their own ignorance of what discipline actually entails, but up there they have it, its free wisdom ), it is those sort of parents that need to be educated.Cheers. |
I've often heard it said that "Beauty is in the EYE OF THE BEHOLDER"! What this means is that l may consider you ugly but someone "who loves you can ONLY SEE THE BEAUTIFUL SIDE OF YOU"! Or how do you explain a "very poor guy" who gets to marry that beautiful babe that just refuses you? She sees the guy as the most handsome human in the world, irrespective of his financial state! Again, with time, l guess we will all come to appreciate that "physical beauty" itself, is ephemeral! Its like a flower, bright and sweet smelling in the morning, in full blossom in the afternoon, wobbling and wrinkling in the evening, dead and fallen-off at Night! If you must marry, MARRY BASED ON CHARACTER, that way, what you appreciate in your spouse will always be there (all things being equal sha )Like some would say, "Monkey no-fine, im Mama like am"! ![]() Such is life! Now, this has nothing to do with Frank or Kate or their new found lovers, l was just wondering aloud! ![]() |
^^^^^my comments were based on her previous vulgar diatribe, at my previous comments. But then, l do see where u'r coming from, l need to maintain a higher moral code and not get dragged down to her level. Noted, Thanks. |
I hope to review the "sentences" at the end of the day, in line with the offenses committed (most are looting/Stealing destruction of public property). Could there be a possibility that: 1.) The dark skinned looters are being sentenced FIRST? 2.) Could it be they are being handed a HEAVIER sentence that their "Caucasian" co-looters? Lets hope there is fairness in dispensing Justice. By the way, if l were the Judge, l would not make a "Criminal" out of these girls/boys who just have a "moment of madness", judging by their "previous record" of good behaviour and promising future. No need to kill a fly with a sledge hammer, am sure the "message is well understood. |
@Shy-one I am going to "rock his socks off" as soon as I get to Nigeria - ONE MAN ONLY FOR SHY-ONEFrom the way you sound, the excitement of your tone, l have a very strong feeling that he must be a good guy! No need to worry about Fashola in any way! ![]() Not one of those "abandoning" mofos! Rock him gently please and keep an eye on him! There is Man-Shortage (l mean responsible men o! )Cheers |
@MrbrownJAY. I bet u did not read it in that same post where l said: Domestic Violence or battering, is NOT GENDER SPECIFIC! Meaning it can be perpetuated by both man and women! I condemn it but l also think it makes sense to look under the hood, tackle the problem at the source, like "Pro01" has suggested! As for Frank, l agree with you that we should just let the guy (and his former wife) live their lives, as they deem fit. For all l care, they can decide to make-up, sometime in the future! It is these frustrated young gaals that run their mouth over other men, without good justification except as an avenue to vent their bile and display poor upbringing! and they are so quick to label every man a wife beater! Look at that Outstrip and her alter-ego, (check ALL their previous post when it concerns men) you can be assured that they are both products of a failed marriage and single mother so, what else would you expect from them than to inherit the same failure their "single mother" has put into their head? Like Mother, Like Daughter! |
Crime like looting is very bad! You do the crime, you spend the time, simples. ![]() Lets stop putting "a color or race" to the riot, brown people (whether African born or British born) took part in the looting. Caucasians (whites as they like to be called) also took part in the looting so, what the heck do we need to identify them by "color or race"? Why focus "excessively" on the "brown-people" part? or was it a brown person that opened the bag of an INJURED MALAYSIAN STUDENT, pretending to help him while lifting property from his backpack? That guy was as whitey as any Caucasian can be! But l dont see him as "white", l just see him as a criminal, like any of those "brown skin" that a took off with a Plasma!
|
^^^^And please for Gawd's sake, l hope you are good at "identifying any of those irresponsible men" on our streets? Better still, please come-around with "Bags of Protection"! ![]() If everything fails, (like Customs/immigration stealing your bags of imported "protection" , Please do the need-ful! ZIP-IT UP TIGHTLY! ![]() Wish you a safe trip down to our beloved country. BTW: There is this story of one rasz-guy who impregnated two ladies (i did not say Tuface o! ) about the same-time, abandoned them to live at Sagamu (Ogun State) and NOW, he gat to face Fashola twice! The story is that each of the two ladies wants to have a go at him FIRST, using the law while the latter fears once imprisoned by the first, she would be deprived of her own sweet revenge! The guy as l understand claims he is "living-in with another pregnant lady" at the moment, in Sagamu and therefore cannot be accused of "abandonment"! He suggests the other two come down to his house in Sagamu or else, he would sue both of them for desertion! What the heck is this? Where is our in-house Lawyer on this one? |
@MrbrownJAY there is a HUGE difference between DEFENDING yourself aka self defense while attacked AND having a wrak ego and therefore battering your wife because she came late from work/ or because she hang out with her single friends.Thank you for the above post, at least you do agree that “abuse or domestic violence” is NOT GENDER-SPECIFIC! Both genders have that “ability and capability” to abuse the other spouse. What l find very hypocritical is when we don’t know the ”facts” (as in when you listen to one side of a story, the wife in this case) and then pronounce one of the parties, the guilty party, especially when it’s the man! It is simply stewpid and imbecilitic! Concerning the ”bolded” in your post, why should l think of a “sister, daughter/Mother” and NOT a “brother, son/father”, when l think of this type of battering? Or are you implying that l don’t care about the latter simply as a result of their “gender” (Males!)? Would such thinking qualify one to be considered as being narcissistic? @Outstrip Why are you trying to reason with fools. I read her interview and what struck me is that she never denied hitting the man, She actually said that he would hit herand she said she grew up amongst boys so her natural instinct was to fight back. That is not to say he did not inflict injuries on her.Its very rare that l reply someone like you but l will make an exception just this once! As for the “bitter and loveless", men-hating-cretins like “Outstrip” and Typia” whose life are devoid of “sweet love”, l can only feel sorry for them on one hand but then, you reap what you sow! Not my worries in any way!. ![]() I know you gaalz have gone through very bitter experiences in your love-life, if there was ever one but l appeal to you to let the past go and stop poisoning your system with this hatred for men, when fellow sisters are finding love EVERYDAY! If you hit someone, expect to get hit back and don’t come whining back, expecting some sympathy simply because the other party was a male and therefore stronger than you! Right now, its only two of'ya that has crawl out of the wood-works so far, l still expect more of them creepy things to come up and abuse me! We all know them here on N/land, their life is so miserable to the extent that “every man” is their enemy! Shame!! Frank has a life to live, likewise his former wife, l wish they both find love and live fulfilled life going forward, while the men-hating vermins are developing a bust pipe in one of their major arteries! ![]() |
^^^^"Its not the lineage of "Hens" that would attend the burial of a "Fox", even a dead one"! ![]() @amblors: Please avoid reading them, l dont, myself! |
Frank is a "Wife-beater"? Really?? Is his wife a "husband-beater"? ![]() I have never seen a situation where "one person" (even a mad person) hits another and the other one "calms down" and refuse to get aggressive, and the first one will keep on doing the hitting! Its just against the natural law of how events unfold! Now hear these: Did l hear someone say "harsh words stir-up anger"? Did l hear someone say "Two Capitans cannot command the same boat"? Did l hear someone say "in a relationship, if one is the Bull, the other should adopt the stance of a sheep"? Did l hear someone say "A wise woman keeps her home but the FOOLISH WOMAN scatters her home with her hand"? We've all seen Frank on TV and we know he is not mental, he is also very cognitive! Thus, this image of a "mad-man" that some Nairalanders are trying to drill down our throat does not wash one bit. If you are a wife and you think you're strong enough to "physically fight and subdue" your husband in a "show of force", lets be honest, that's your decision and the outcome (as predictable as it is) is your choice! I have heard "wise women" say when my husband is blowing hot, l will calm down and will not engage him in a show of force but with SURREPTITIOUS WISDOM, l will still get him to do my bidding, just by massaging his ego"! NOW THAT IS WISDOM OF OUR MOTHERS! I cannot blame either Frank nor his former wife; only stewpid fools take sides in a relationship breakdown! Both of them contributed to the failure of their marriage! What really goes on between husband and wife is never open to the public! We dont even know 1% of the "issues" at stake. Lets wish them well, going forward and lets encourage them to give extra thought to the kids! Thats the best we can do. BTW: I have observed on a lot of thread on NL that a certain group of women are very vitriolic whenever issues of men are mentioned! These same group of women are on the attack here, calling Frank all sorts of unprintable names! One cannot but wonder what their "love life, if any" looks like but from the way they write you can bet my nuts that they are very bitter and a product of failed relationships! Their system is so poisoned with hatred that l can only pity them cos, they are dying a very slow and painful death, every day! ![]() Just watch them as they reply to my post, l dont need to mention their handle! ![]() |
@Sagamite What these women need to do is close their legs to irresponsible men. If you can't, use contraception and only get pregnant in wedlock. Women always want rights without responsibilities or accountability.Told them please! ![]() If its not "despoil" then its consensual and why would one party be punished for the "result" while the other benefits? WHY CANT WOMEN JUST CLOSE THEIR LEGS to irresponsible men? Or use protection? That can be that difficult naaah! Okay, maybe its because of the "shine-shine effizy" that they so too focused on! |
@Kandikane @last page, why do people have to always compare themselves to others if they are doing bad? If someone looks at the bad things you do you quickly jump and say "oh, but I am not the only one." Is that how people are living their lives? "Well, the whites are doing it too."Well, l might also ask you this: Why do you have to "generalize and stereotype" black peeps? Doing wrong "has no color" and everyone is capable of doing wrong! In summary, harping on a few blacks that did wrong (and ignoring the whites that do same), just so you can "color-me-bad" is an outdated mode of thinking! Ofcourse, EVERYONE's got a plank in their eyes except that some use their fingers to "point at blacks" instead of using it to remove the log in their eyes! ![]() Just my ten cent on this. |
You know their is this misconception that "men are the violent spouse in any relationship", just like people call 'women the weaker sex"! Everything is gradually falling into place! When we have run our full circle, may be the current "system of civilization" has outlived its usefulness! Women acting like Husbands, Husbands brow-beaten into submission, using state laws! Result: Things like a 7yr old stealing a bottle of Alcohol during London riots! ![]() What a "family" life! ![]() |
@kandiikane: Dara nayah, dama pissed off ak xaleh yii. .If you are civilised the you are not included, ok?While l agree totally with you that l too, have seen "blacks" do all the above, l want to ask YOU: Have YOU not seen "Caucasians" (whites as some call them) DO ALL THESE THINGS ALSO? I have, so l can say its not unique to "blacks" alone! Infact, all you need do is go through the Police Gallery of looters photos that was released and you will see how diverse, the race of the looters are! |
@mithel hehehe, lastpage na confirmed weyray, see in last reply wan make ppl around me tin say sometin dey worry me.i just dey laff.yeye boy.Heen, old man like me na yeye boy, abi? ![]() Okay, l apologize (and this apology is not to some "winches and winzards"!) to everybody, l must have been "staying too close" to those peeps drinking too much Sheepeee, on the Island! Me baad! I think the Govt needs to take a second look at "Feeder Roads" as this, in addition to what have been said, will unlock the misery we endure on the 3rd mainland. Some years ago, returning from work in V.I. towards 3rd Mainland, l would pass through Osbourne road but when it gets too tight, l could change to the Obalende- Osbourne road and link the same 3rd Mainland at Obalende. If that does not work, I would snail through Central Lagos and link Idumota, pass through Otto, Iddo, Oyingbo and then through M/Mohhammed way, link the 3rd mainland at Adekunle or Ebutte-Metta! If that fails again, l could just go the other way via Bar beach, link the 3rd mainland through Awolowo Way (around the Nursing school) or l could just feel like slugging it through Apongbon, to Costain and from there, link Oyingbo then 3rd Mainland! The Other option is to go towards Stadium and do a detour to Yaba or Onipan and from there, l could link the 3rd Mainland. Why have l gone through all this elaborate, "conductor-style" explanations? I am trying to show that if Govt invests in "rehabilitating Feeder Roads", it would ease pressure on the main artery which the 3rd mainland is. People can link it at various places if the feeder roads are well repaired! And we can call the bluff of the darn ![]() |
I cant believe what l am reading on this thread! You people need to have your heads examined thoroughly! I would suggest all you "ethnic warriors" fix an appointment and meet in an open field and slug it out with your fist, like "real men" who wants a fight, rather than all these ethnic posturing! And "each of them" keeps using "We" this, "We' that! "We" my foot, you're on your own (O.Y.O) Abegii, discuss something more intelligent jare. |
@Totfulguy! Very "thoughtful" of you to have written so "thoughtfully"! Let me quote a few things you said please! @All: This tread is getting interesting. I am not a Yoruba user, but what I can glean from the response to the post by L.A.J is that there is a 'spiritual' nay nocturnal underpinning to the traffic on the 3rd Mainland Bridge. That is very interesting! It would seem that every phonomenon in this part of the world has a 'spiritual' or rather 'spiritistic' or 'witchy' explanation. That is the bane of our civilization. This attitute has implications on our collective consciuosness and also affects our reality. It is rather sorry that a trend like the traffic on the Third Mainland Bridge, that should otherwise be the subject of serious discuss in academic and enlightened social circles is left to the realms of spiritual innuendos, emotional quips and explanation. It is the same spirit-inspired psyche that explains why accidents, armed robbery attacks, exam failures, power failure, looting of the national treasury, violation and child abuse are given spiritual explanantions. Thus when an accident occurs, it is not a drunk driver but an old woman in the village, a witch, that caused it. When a child or anyone for that matter fails an exam it is not a lack of preparation but a neighbour who does not want his progress. When our treasury is looted the witches and spirits are responsible not the looter (and the looting spirits discriminate because they never come my way). You mean you know all these things and you still claim you're NOT YORUBA? I hereby confer you with YORUBA identity henceforth! Receive it NOW!! One of the poster suggested that the spirits are angry because of their loss of accomodation arising from the Attention of the bridge. Nothing could be more humourous. That statement suggests that the spirits in this water lost their home and obviously could not find an alternative accomodation and so create the traffic situation that we see on the bridge. This will imply that the spirits do not have the adaptability or knowhow to find alternative accomodation. Such untested and baseless assumption is nothing short of native intelligence.Dont misquote or misrepresent the spirits please. They do NOT want to relocate ANYWHERE! Did you not read that a "free of rent" Plaza was being constructed for them and they refused the offer? This "Irunmoles" are stubborn o! Recently, the Chinese government unveiled the world longest bridge over water, the Jiaozhou Bay Bridge (Pictures attached) this bridge is known to be earthquake and typhoon proof. With the sheer size and length of this bridge, one wonders how many Chinese spirits, witches and demons were rendered homeless and had to relocate. Am saying they relocated because there is no hold up on that bridge that is reputed to have the capacity to carry 30,000 vehicles at a go. Is it possible that the Chinese witches and spirits are smarter than their Nigerian counterparts? Could that be why we also open our borders to the Chinese to bring in their substandard goods because their people are smarter than we are? It probably also explains why they are in a hurry to develop their country while we are sitting back and seeking spiritistic explanations for our failings.Hmmm, omode o'mogun, on'pe ni Salad! (A small child does not recognize Shigidi, im dey call am Salad! I am not referring to you o!)Now that you mentioned the Chinese, their own Aje and Emere are even worse! When they built the "fastest Rail" recently and the "Chinko Irunmoles" said it was too fast, as they could not do their "hop-on and hop-off", at will (thats their method of causing confusion on the rail-flight!). The Govt did not listen and within two weeks, they caused a very deadly head-on collision on the hi-teck train! Nice peoplelike you called it "Signal failure" but do not know that "awon Aje" are signaling expert! Or how come the slower speed Train did not crash within two weeks of commission? Look, our own Witches are even nice, except when they are too drunk to be nice to anybody! It appears too that the witches are responsible for the potholes on our roads and the blackouts that we experience on a daily basis; Witches are possibly responsible for the poor governance that has been our portion in this country. Why are you acting like you have never seen these Aje's, Irunmoles and Emere's before, when you actually encounter then every day? Ask yourself this: if Potholes cause accidents, accidents kill people and spill blood on the roads. If blackouts make people buy Generator and make thieves have a field day (stealing and killing). At least, all the above combined, spills about a thousand innocent blood daily! Government knows this for the last twenty years but refused to even fill the Potholes, refuse to give us "NEPA" with all the "fake, Up NEPA" we use to shout at them, and even more, we have been having the bad governance since 1973 When OBJ became Head of State! And he came back again 23 years later! ask yourself: WHY? Answer: The Aje's, Emere's, Irunmole's and their cousin, Iyemoja's, needs to drink blood regularly! Thats why! And for good measure, we will NEVER have good government that will put a stop to all these things because the Aje's, Irunmoles and Emere's have taken over our governance! THEY ARE THE ONES RULING US! Look at Abacha, Look at OBJ, Look at Yar Ardul just before he travel to Saudi Arabia (he wanted to show us his true semblance o! ![]() Why do you think Nigerian Youths are so helpless (unlike their Tunisian counterparts) against this "level 19" witches and Irunmoles? Dem too wicked faah! Look, if you live in the U.K, tighten your girdle, some imported Chinese Emere's and Aje's are setting that place on fire for Nine good days! We are just on day 4 abi? Just count for me (I told you not to mess with Chinese Wizard and witches! Did l not?) My take on this spirit and witch psyche that we have all embraced as a nation (which I reject) is that until we begin to explain our failings, problems, ineptitude and poor judgement from ourselves before pointing fingers at non-existent courses, solution will forever elude us.See what l am saying, how can a man know he is doing something WRONG and is helpless to correct himself? The witches and Aje's are making you helpless! Just correct the darn "errors" instead of apologizing! This Witches dont take sorry, walahi! Or have you ever seen Irunmole accepting ordinary sorry, instead of some very tight "Seaman Aromatic Schnapps with bitter Kola"? ![]() Please pour some Ogogoro on the floor and carry go, God be with you, Walahi! |
@Proud-Igbo Simple really. The answer is the break down of the family unit; kids having kids and parents not caring to bring up their kids with those age-old values that'll see them through life as positive members of society.@pelezico From single parenting, abortion, relativism, government interference in parental responsibilities, fathers abdicating the highly important role they have in raising children, from anti-family groups trying to rewrite what family is, from the lobbying of man-loving-men and lady-loving-ladies trying to rewrite legislatively what family is, Indecency addiction, church folks not willing to be light and salt, music, tv etc etc has all helped to create this problem. The above is why not just only London that would burn, but eventually most of western Europe! This is the short an long summary. Its called "COMPLETE FAMILY BREAKDOWN"! Some people think "Child Support (money!,money!!, money!!!) <=> Fatherhood"! WRONG, dead wrong! The "greed" of years gone-by, has come home to roost! On a lighter note, can the Police play the Music of "Asa" (Fire on the Mountain) for these youths and let them have a ball at the square, with some booze of course! Drunk people are known to fall asleep quicker! |
What would make a woman kill their children, just to show her ex-husband, how much she loathes him? Should the children be punished for whatever happened between the adults? Would any excuse provided afterwards, justify such evil and completely wicked act? Read on; Mother Guilty Of Smothering Kids To Hurt Ex http://uk.news.yahoo.com/mother-guilty-smothering-kids-hurt-ex-151113498.html A mother has been found guilty of smothering her young children and hiding them in the boot of her car in an attempt to hurt her ex-partner. Fiona Donnison killed three-year-old Harry and Elise, two, to punish their father, Paul Donnison, a court heard. She has been sentenced to serve a minimum of 32 years in prison. The prosecution claimed she stashed her children's bodies in her Nissan in order to lie in wait for her ex armed with two knives, but he never arrived as he was staying with his new girlfriend. Donnison, 45, who adopted her partner's name by deed poll without telling him, walked into Heathfield police station on January 27 to tell officers she had killed Harry and Elise. She had superficial cuts to her wrists and had taken a number of Nytol sleeping tablets when she arrived at the station but would not tell the police where the bodies were. A search revealed the children had been placed in separate holdalls in the boot. The day before the murders Donnison went to court to try and force her ex partner to move out of the family home, but was told this could take time. The defence said she was not in her right mind when she killed the pair, as she had been severely depressed, and argued the charge should be reduced to manslaughter. But one clinical psychologist said Donnison was "100% likely to be feigning" her mental health problems. She was also described as controlling and narcissistic. The prosecution said the level of planning involved warranted a murder conviction and a jury at Lewes Crown Court unanimously agreed. Mr Donnison, 47, broke down in tears in court as he described the last time he saw his children. "Harry was in his pyjamas and he came over and wrapped his little arms around me and we hugged and I gave him the toy and I was kneeling down. "He had his arms around my shoulders and my neck and I was cuddling him. "And Fiona was standing two or three feet away with a look of absolute hatred and evil on her face. Harry was then shooed back into his bedroom. "That was the last time I saw him alive," he told the court. "I then went to Elise's bedroom and she was peacefully asleep. I gave her a peck on the cheek, she just wiggled her nose. She didn't wake. And that was the last time I saw Elise," he added.

^^^^ What about "woman-lover-woman"? Equation will always balance except that some are always looking for the easy way out! ![]() On a more serious note, l would rather NOT a law be passed than manufacture laws that cannot be enforced, even if the will is there! Someone has asked but let me re-enforce the question: Since there are 36 states in Nigeria, with a"federal System of governance & Constitution", if some guy and lady "made it" somewhere between Shagamu and Lagos Toll-gate, which law would govern the "abandonment"? ![]() Now, imagine you ask someone who just came on "Police Training" in Lagos and decides to "shine" that babe who is also silly enough not to insist on Condom or take her "afterwards" Pills. Well, she wan marry officer but before BRF could alert his Prison guards to action, my guy has left for Sokoto! Can BRF force him to come down to Lagos to serve his abandonment jail time? ![]() What if the guy is a complete NOBODY and disappears into "thin air"? With A Nigeria that has no central database! Before you know it, "fine gaals" in Lagos will begin to notice that guys are avoiding them like a plague or worse still view them with a kind of "u wan trap me with pregnancy" suspicious look! ![]() By the way, I notice a lot of women are "clapping for this law" but let me ask (and you're free to swear at me this time!), does it appear to us that women are always looking for a "cheap slice of bread", when it comes to their dealings with men? Are women really falling for this inferiority complex, to men? What if the guy contacts V.D. during the intercourse, l bet the woman will be compelled to pay his Hospital Bills too! ![]() We should stop making ourselves the butt of ridiculous jokes, amongst other nations. BRF can do better than this (l respect his acumen at times), even Tinubu with his Toronto degree can do better than this how much more a As a mater of fact, after sending the "father of your child" to jail, l hope the lot of "Lagos women" are prepared to give the child a "good explanation", when the child begins to ask for "My Daddy"! The explanation could read like: Fashola made me imprison him so that "I" WOULD NOT SUFFER ABANDONMENT! Child: And What am l suffering now? Hmmmmm! Some Daddy's take a while to "come around" from the "shock of fatherhood" but end up being (becoming) very adoring to the little tot All the same, l know a lot of Nigerian men cherish their "loved' women and their unborn child, to even give a hoot about BRF's ill-conceived abandonment law. |
I will NOT pass judgement on this law but l will EXAMINE IT properly! For avoidance of doubt, Law says: Jail a man who IMPREGNATES AND DESERTS A WOMAN! Thus, we have to go through a few steps, before the guy actually end-up in jail: 1.) Prove that he actually impregnated the woman. HOW? DNA test would only work after the child is born (or near term of birth) thus, if the guys says, l do not own that pregnancy, NOTHING the law (as it is) can do to the guy! 2.) By the time child is born, it is now "A CHILD" and since this law is about jailing one who impregnates and abandon a PREGNANT WOMAN, the woman is no longer PREGNANT and the guy cannot be jailed! Again, a second "failure point"!. 3.) Desertion: Not "staying with someone"! Now, if the guy does not even have a house, how will he stay with the woman (in her fathers house?). What if the guy says "pack into my room and stay with me all day" but does not provide money or food (maybe you open your legs for a jobless man, and they are the ones that have the time to "knackson woman pass" ), as far as "desertion" is concerned, he has NOT deserted her and therefore cannot be jailed but what he has not done is "Provide for her financially" which is not what the law is addressing! Again, the guy walks free! The only issue (which is how it is done in climates where people "think before signing any bill into law" , is that the man should "support his child" financially! You cant even force him to "associate with the Child", talk less of the mother! It could have been just a "one-night" fling! And how can he support a non-existent child, if you dont make this law kick-in after birth? There is a whole world of difference between a "foetus" and a "child"! Its called nine-months! ![]() Thus, can we say this law is well-thought out (lets think straight and remove the emotions + sentiments)? What is the purpose of having a law that is DoD (Dead on Arrival) since you cant enforce it, legally! Some have said the law is for "Moral responsibility on the part of men!" Now this is very ignorant! First, if a man brings his pants down and produce that dangerous flesh, must you also bring your own pant down too? (Aside a situation of "violation" which is criminal, and different) Again, is it not even more stewpid (apologies) on the part of a woman, in this 21st century, to engage in unprotected sex and if that is not criminal enough, TO NOW CARRY THE "UNWANTED" PREGNANCY! If a man has rejected a pregnancy, what kind of love do you even think that kind of child, if brought to this wicked world, will have in future? I am fully for the right of women to "choose" when they want to be pregnant or whether to carry a pregnancy, anytime! I am not for some silly law that we all know is full of loopholes and cannot be "legally enforced" in court. Teach women how to not only close their legs but also how to open it without carrying any excess baggage! Spend the money that would otherwise be wasted on doing DNA test, on educating some of these women! If every time of "education and awareness" fails, TEACH them how not to bring an unwanted child to this world! I would hate to be one of those kind of children, and Thank God l wasn't! I for commit die, walahi! ![]() BTW: Even in advance countries, the financial support is conditioned on "affordability and income"! If the man is jobless and does not earn any income, you're on your own! But we must also understand that those countries provide a form of "Social Welfare payments" to the unemployed! I hope Fashola can "copy that also" or is it only the "bad things or those that earn more money for government purse", that our govt like to copy from abroad? ![]() |
