u need to let her know how naive she is being. the pastor is nobody to determine ur union. if she wants to use the christian angle, does she want to tell me that the pastor is her God? so, what if the pastor does not permit ur union, is she going to agree wit d pastor and dump u? she can pray on her own and get wateva response she wants from God. unless her pastor is God himself. if not, then i fink you need to give her a reality check

thats why i laugh wen i see all these men here that just travelled recently and landed one oyibo . cos being here, i no how awfully most of them complain about how they cant wait to get their papers and go back home and remarry. its not that i like to hear them utter such nonsense though

the society never shapes me. i choose a right part to life an i abide by it. that being said, i cant be seen as a woman because i will give birth to someone's child oneday. anyone that sees me as a child manufacturing machine, may that person be blinded with that very eye. 

its unfortunate that many Nigerian marriages(esp, the older generation) are bound by this child bearing factor. love is very far from their reason for union.

ALL the Nigerian girls i know always buy gift for their hubby or bf. even thinking about it now, i am yet to think of anyone of them that doesn't do presents and gifts.  i dont know where you people keep getting all these your statistics and generalization from. stop wit all these persistent complaints! its really getting old.  if you dont like Nigerian women (cos dey dont buy gifts), no one will force you to do other wise!! anyways, pregnancy before marriage is not a big deal from my own point of view. having a child depends more on if someone is capable of taking care of the child. most married couple with 10kids and no financial means to take care of the children cannot be better than a single man or a single woman who have all the means and loving environment to support a child. only in backwards societies will it still be a crime to be pregnant b4 marriage
