It was even invented before they went electronic by sending text messages and emails purporting to be from the bank.

This trick only affect, the very less educated in the public or elderly and most of them are not on social media.

In this day and age, hardly will anyone with even a below average education will give their ATM card to someone to assist them, when they are at the machine, talkless of allowing some strangers to be as close as 30 feets away.

Something similar happened to me, did an online inter-bank transfer....the transaction failed, but they have collected their N52 stamp duty and N50 maintenance charge.

After a few hours, the N52 was reversed but not the N50 and it’s more than a week now.

Though, am not calling or complains to them, it will cost me more N50 to pursue the complaint, it’s a waste of my time....but imagine how many people ends up in my shoes each year and the money these bank are illegally raking in...

It depends on your credit score, income and credit history....you can’t walk into a bank and ask for $1m loan...even if your credit score is 830/830 without a history and income to support the about you are asking for.

You are also wrong to assume that, if the ‘car is park in Nigeria, the owner don chop well’ Nigerians especially supposed ‘big boys’ also approach banks for loan and deviate the money to support their lavish lifestyles.

Unlike in most cases Nigeria, in the US the Banks employs Actuary to under the risk associated with these loans and usually they are right and people who don’t pay back either run into financial issues down the road or they manipulated the process.

Am talking about motives and not culpability.

You are wrong if you think accusations regarding Cosby & Weinstein just surfaced.

These women did not keep silence for decades, they spoke out...if you go back and read their stories, they did....but no one took them serious and some got settlements and contracts plus payoffs to buy their silence decades ago.

What helped ‘Cosby’ conviction and Weinstein’s downfall was the ‘me too movement’ in the US that was heightened by Trump’s Hollywood tape linked in 2016 and not because these ladies were silence and didn’t share their stories before now.

And it was because, these ladies spoke up decades ago that helped their case against Cosby, because the court allowed the settlement case in the 1990s between Cosby and some the ladies to be in evidence plus Cosby admissions in the sealed settlements.

You don’t have fingerprints and dna in every crime scene....forget those CSI movies.

Having them is the dream come true, for any prosecutor, but it does not mean that without them someone can’t be convicted.

So called ‘eye witness’ testimony is still valuable and can be enough even for death penalty cases in the USA. In the USA ‘eye witness’ testimonies have been found to be fallible, but they are still been used, because you can’t just toss a case because there are no bio-evidence linking the accused to the crime....it is the job of the defense attorney to cross examine the ‘eye witness’ and tear a hole into their testimony and recollections.

The sad thing is that, most of these cases are handled by public defenders, who are under staffed, under paid and over worked and as a result don’t have the time to adequately prepare and execute your defense.

Ladies! If someone rape you; out with it immediately, if for some reason you cannot...at least one upto three years after the event is okay...don’t wait till after a decade....most people will not believe you.

Most people will view you in negative light, that you are after the alleged abuser’s career or jealous of his/her success and want to put a dent on it. Your motives of coming out after a decade will be questionable as in, you are not coming out because of the alleged crime committed but because of other ulterior motives.

For God’s sake! If the person is truly a rapists as you are alleging, do you know how lives you will safe by coming out early?
