I used to have 'talk full' day at work, but today I noticed after ZUHR I automatically went on standby (quiet). Speak of low battery. But all in all it was interesting

Islam for Muslims / Re: Thread For Muslim Reverts by Maisuya1: 9:37pm On Jul 08, 2013
Wa alaikum bro Leo, I was reading a verse in sura rum (Romans) that Christian and Jews who believe in Muhammad saw (ie are Muslims) will get their rewards doubled (this is a special offer to only reverts I think)
Another verse in sura furqan talks about those who have erred in the past but have repented will have all their wrongs converted to good rewards (now that's a special offer)
So best wishes on ur new path

Nairaland / General / Re: Who Is Musiwa? by Maisuya1: 9:02am On Jul 07, 2013
This was how some one described him

Sequestered deep in his missile-proof bunker beneath the eastern foothills of the Canadian Rockies, the Alaafin of Canada, Satellite Image Analyst Extraordinaire, Electricity Engineer Dr. Becomerich Musiwa Nigeria1, of the Benin Republic fame, summoned his Overhead Imagery staff for an urgent meeting.

“Our ability to bombard the Nairaland server with gigabyte-sized dumps of satellite images once enabled us to slow that website down to a crawl, back in our glorious heyday,” Map MeisterMusiwa announced with nostalgic pride, “but, regrettably, that has all changed now, and for the worse.”

Unbuckling the flap of his side-arm holster for emphasis, he added “ Now we are lucky to post even a single image before getting banned, AGAIN, by forces loyal to President Osewa. This is unacceptable, and I must now request the resignation of all senior satellite engineering staff with immediate effect. This meeting is OVER."

Swivelling back round in his chair to face wall-sized banks of flickering video monitors, while idly tapping the ultra-zoom button that would task his closest surveillance satellite to acquire a high-resolution view of weekend sunbathers at the French Riviera’s infamous clothing-optional St. Tropez Beach, Musiwa paid little attention to the white-coated research scientists filing solemnly out of the control center, into the elevator whose floor would drop out to deliver the riders to a roiling pool of massive hungry crocodiles moments later. It was all in a day’s work for the Alaafin, and there could be no room for humanitarian sentiments.

kan someone explain. Ss3 in simple terms.
am nt amuslim but find. This. Piece ok .I belive its a spiritual principle it cuts across.
i hope this helps...
when muslims prostrate during prayer (and put their faces on the ground - a sign of humility to their creator)they are in the best position to supplicat to their lord. now imagine suplicating at a time when prayers are not rejected (between call to prayers and actual start of the prayers), now thats an ace.
U r praying in the best posture and best timing. (double barel)

Politics / Re: Is Amnesty The Solution To Insecurity, Terrorism & Boko-Haram Crises? by Maisuya1: 5:47pm On Apr 08, 2013
trying to draw parallel or comparing and contrasting between BH and militancy to me is a nobrainer. what should be our focus is the root of this hydra headed monster that manifest its self in differnt forms - the root is good governance and curruption. do u know there is even a greater and more serious threat brewing in the background, this threat has become so profound that auxilary crime sindicates are already growing out of it, and yet that threat is not yet manifest. (the threat is unemployed, energetic and frustrated graduates) we might not see it as a threat now but by the time it explodes on all our faces we will all be scrambling for solutions.

Islam for Muslims / Re: My Question To All Muslims. by Maisuya1: 3:09pm On Apr 02, 2013
u cant look at the sun (a creation of God)with ur n.aked eye, yet you want to look at the Almighty (the creator Himself).

seeing Him is a gift which only worthy eyes will recieve on the last day.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Allah And Israel by Maisuya1: 2:40pm On Apr 02, 2013
i am in the office so i cant give u a detailed answer but i will try.

ALLAH (pronounced Alla)is HIS unique name. in hebrew ELI (pronounced ELa). I am not a linguist, eitmologist or morphologist, but i know that pronounciation of same words change accross different dialects (take the arabic salaam and in hebrew sholom both of which means peace)

That said Allah/God/Soko/Olowun/Eli/Chineke sent prophets and messengers to all nations at various times in history, these prophets carried one single theme - the worship of one true God and shuning idolatory in all forms. Moses preached the worship of one true God/creator, David did so too, so did Abraham, isaac, Muhammad and even Jesus (Peace be upon All of them). and so did many other prophets and messengers whose names and stories have faded away from memory and recollection. Now the big question is what is His Name?

Permit me to quote the quran here; 'CALL (HIM) ALLAH OR CALL (HIM) AR-RAHMAN, WHICH EVER YOU CHOOSE, TO HIM BELONGS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OF NAMES...' (Chapter:The Night Journey)

We use to have this imam we called the "diving imam" as soon as he dives into Fatiha in salat the only thing u hear is the first ayah and when he resurfaces at 'walad daaleen. Amin' classic guy he was.

Islam for Muslims / Best Times To Get Your Prayers Accepted by Maisuya1: 11:00am On Mar 29, 2013
Hi guys I just feel like sharing these treasures today. Before I get into the special secrete (open secrete to some) times for ASA (accelerated supplication acceptance). I will like to state a few things before hand.

According to our dear prophet (SAW) supplication is the sword of the believer , he (SAW) also told us that Allah is as u think of HIM (so make dua always and over everythin, coz Allah unlike us is pleased when u supplicate to Him, and ask with humility and with such conviction that Allah will answer u ), having two of this at the back of ur mind will put u in the best of mood for supplications.

SS 1(secrete sauce 1)

U know there are 3 set of special people that Allah stated that there are no barrier between Him and them when they make dua. In fact the prophet actually told us to fear the dua of one of them, as such duas are guaranteed to be accepted - that person is none other than the wronged soul ( a person oppressed, cheated etc). So when next u are oppressed (eg someone stole something very dear from u) rather than waste ur golden opportunity on cursing ur oppressor (even though Allah will deal with oppressors with or without ur dua, in this life, the next or both) I use mine to ask Allah for some pressing needs (I supplicatie so much during these kind of times that I often wonder how long does this golden window last smiley. )

SS 2

I once read a Hadith that when u pray for ur brother/sister (in Islam) angels ask for the same for you. (And u know between ur dua and that of angels which one has the most assurance of qubul? ). So when next u need a promotion or anything in life, look around for anyone in such need pray for him that Allah grants him that (he needs not know) and let the exalted angels who are closer to Allah than any of us ask Allah on ur behalf for that which ur heart desire.

SS 3

This one I call double barrel. The most loved to all of us (SAW) said that '...and when in sujud (during salat) strive to make dua, for u are most befitting to be answered', he (SAW) also said duas made between adhaan and iqaamah (call to prayer and standing for prayer resp.) are not rejected. So here is the recipe, between adhaan and start of prayer try to squeeze in some nawafil, and in ur sujud ask and ask and ask (until u hear the footstep of the imam entering the mosque) grin

SS 4 to infinity

When u r traveling, it is good time to make dua
When u have a guest/traveller he can make dua for u
Ur parents dua for u are very potent
Supplication when it's raining (for the rain is a form of Allah's mercy descending)

Pls feel free to add more if u have.

Finally note the etiquette of dua.
This was the dua of Yusuf/Joseph AS, after a fulfilled life in office in Egypt

“My Lord! Thou hast given me of the kingdom and taught me of the interpretation of sayings: Originator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my guardian in this world and the hereafter; make me die a muslim and join me with the righteous " Q 12:101

And this was Yunus/Jonah AS in the belly of the whale

“There is no god but Thou: glory to Thee: I was indeed wrong!”

Note in this two instances these two great prophets made dua to Allah for particular needs, but rather than asking directly they glorified Allah and praised Him first and the tabled their requests.

Salaam
