To be honest! Nigeria is one of the most cheapest country to live...

If not for the common basic amenities we lack like

Security
Electricity
Unemployment...

Nigeria would have been one of the best country to live and start a family...

We could hav Recived couple of foreigner coming in to retire in our country... but the government are selfish set of people..
Nigeria is not cheap sir. What is our minimum wage?

We have to look for daily bread in a good manner. That’s how we all can have a better country and enjoy it. Where some are trying to be smarter or trying to outsmart others, there would be chaos. You don’t need to circumvent any system to get what you want.

Average citizens have always been the ones that are impatient and they have always been the one that suffer most.
If we say this river o, nobody should and fish on a Saturday o, someone mustn’t be trying to be smart or trying to outsmart us and then go to the river on a Saturday to fish after we have all agreed not to fish.

What we want government to correct for us were scattered by average citizens.
Ordinary lane discipline, we can’t maintain it when we are driving and we blame government for holdups.

You want to do common NIN, you already know how May ogas you have called ahead just to get there and get yours done while those you met there are still waiting.
My brother, the list is endless. It is when we choose to do the right thing, that’s when Nigeria will be better.
what's your point sir? The govt policy brought about hardship, and you're here blaming people. Who floated currency? Who removed subsidy? Nawao.

Thomas Hobbes said "man by nature is cruel, brutish and nasty in the state of nature", this is why we all surrendered our rights to indiscipline to the govt to administer the state. You think Americans don't like stealing? They do. It's the society and law that will catch-up with them. So stop blaming Nigerians blame the govt for failing to manage the system well

It won’t. It requires just pairing, which is done by computer and the rate is determined by market forces.

If you are trading on a pair of currencies, you may not even know what’s happening to another pair of currencies until you are interested in it. It’s as simple as that.

All countries shouldn’t have allowed their currencies to be dominated by a few currencies.

If we can follow this New World Order, there would be lesser poorer countries, because every country exporting anything, no matter how little, would be relevant.
it is not as easy as you see it.

Can you haters stop talking nonsense? Diaspora remittance is a major source of forex earning for Nigeria and sadly, it has been dwindling over the years. Under Buhari, Emefiele even started offering Nigerians in diaspora extra N5 for every dollar remitted yet, the response wasn’t so good. People in recent times preferred sending money to relatives at home through crypto and fintechs outside banking control.

Now that there is significant improvement, it means confidence is returning to the system. It is a good indication that the reforms are working. Only senseless and irredeemable haters will attribute this to suffering. People remit money home from all over the world. It has nothing to do with the high cost of living all over the world.
people are sending money because it's cheaper for them to do so now. Since our currency has lost its relevance, people abroad find it cheaper to send crumbs back home, afterall, it won't dig deep into their pocket.

so let me get you right. so buhari/emefiele were printing money for 8years and yet the inflation during those 8years didnt skyrocket the way it happened in a few months under Tinubu.

pls explain how did Buhari printing money for 8years didnt cause inflation when the money was being printed but caused inflation after the printing of money stopped
u dey mind them. Tinubu by himself introduced draconian policies that led to inflation, and he's on the other hand blaming buhari M for Tinubu's policies.

I am trying to wrap my head round this. A business took a loan from a bank to facilitate a contract it has been awarded.
Is this not a credit facility? This doesn't seem like news, is it because the CEOs of both organizations are related?

A business is an entity, seperate from the owners. News reporting is cut and join over here, just creating sensationalism.
God bless you.

There is no issue here.

If Craneburg has delivered the project, then Abia state government should pay up. And Craneburg will fulfil their obligations to a Access Bank in turn.

The facility was given to the corporate entity- Craneburg and not Chizoba Wigwe.

Sowore and his gossip mill should STFU.
I'm surprised people commenting above are not being fair to the names mentioned. Whr is the wrong in act? Saharareporters just wasted our time.

There is nothing so special here until we are privy to the Memorandum of Understanding between Abia State Government & Cranburg Construction. That is the document that will list all the roads to be constructed with the money. There is no law forbidding a private organization, such as Cranburg to approach its bankers for facility to execute a contract. If Access Bank finds her customer, Cranburg Construction credit worthy, then public opinion holds no sway
Sahara reporters are just confused with this publication. What's the aim actually?

(1) Okra soup (aka ila alasepo)

Okra soup is simply a stewed okra soup recipe. It is a very popular delicacy among the Yoruba ethnic group of western Nigeria. It is also known as Ila Alasepo by the Yorubas. This Nigerian Okra soup recipe can be replicated with or without Palm oil. It is also by far the cheapest soup one could prepare in the country.

N200 – Okro
N150 – Grounded Pepper
N200 – Palm Oil
N300 – Ponmo
You will even be left with a change of N200
so no Maggi, salt, onion, crayfish, fish? And you call this soup?

O man, your understanding is just damn- too low,not to know the impact of Macro and Microeconomics impacts on the Nation's Economy?
Then you should go back to your School and learn.
Are you aware of that ' if the foundations is destroyed '?
- Can you build a Two Storey- just with only Sands- without any use of 16' or 20 'inch Rod- wire on the Pillars!
Well, you are in Trading and Selling business and that has brought us to where,we are- because there is no real Productive economy,we have been Stealing ,even the Oil Money!
I was expecting to see the thorough understanding of macro and micro economics in your supposition but alas you deviated. You couldn't even show me you understand better what you accuse me of having zero knowledge about.

Now for macro economics that deals with the generality of the country's GDP, inflation, production, unemployment and the general performance of the economy, certain configurations must be put in place. Tinubu's policies on FX and fuel subsidy are major macro economic policies which to me weren't well thought-out. They were done too hurriedly without considering the negative implications or fallout of such policies.

First, you don't go floating your currency when you barely produce anything. This will directly increase the cost of importation, cheap raw materials and machineries coming from outside, as witnessed today. 90% of basics essentials you have in Nigeria today are imported. Before you dish out such policies, you must ensure you shift your economy from basically Consumption oriented to production oriented. High FX only benefits an export oriented economy, as it will spur producers to produce more and make more profit when they export.

Secondly, the govt removed fuel subsidy which is another major crash on the economy. Power is relatively zero or highly comatose in Nigeria, businesses rely on cheap crude to power their businesses. The govt on first day removed fuel subsidy thereby inflating the cost of production. A litre of diesel is #1700 today, how do you expect businesses to thrive in such an unfriendly economic environment? Have you considered the implication of high petrol price on the barbershop near you?

Kindly school me on your understanding of macro and Micro economics sir.

Everybody knows that buhari is incompetent. Especially when it comes to the issue of economy.

He relies solely on whatever advice given to him by his economic team of which emiefele is among.
He gives go ahead on whatever they tell him they want to do.

Practically, emiefele and Co were the one in charge of the country's economy during buhari's administration.

Even if you invite him today for questionings, he wont be able to give a clue about whatever questions thrown at him.

Las Las, he will refer to emiefele and the co, because they are the one in charge.

Bubu is just a figure head.
but that's actually the meaning of governance. This is why u av advisers in almost all facets of life. The president is expected to have just a foundational knowledge and not an expert knowledge. Do you think Biden knows everything about America or thinks through major policies before dishing them out.

Buhari did not think all his policies through according to you, but did way better than this govt in his first 1yr in office. Today you and I are told to suffer now and eat tomorrow. No be ahọ survive go chop?

you understand macro and micro economics sir. What use is this to the nation when the CBN cum FG policies are making life unbearable for Nigerians? Emefiele was the thief yet Nigeria was better, today you and I can't even buy garri cheaply. Don't be a fan of propaganda.

Under Buhari food was cheaper, power was better, businesses never suffered huge losses. In less than one year into this govt, MTN declared billions in losses, Nigeria breweries declared losses, other major businesses declaring losses. Yet you're telling me you understand macro and micro economics. What is the essence of macro and Micro economics if not ensuring maximum prosperity for businesses and citizens?

A hopelessly useless place. When there was no refinery, they were importing refined products using scarce forex. Now that Dangote claims he has built refinery, the same scarce forex is to be used in importing crude that flows freely under our subsoil. Something is certainly wrong with this country, a jungle for criminals. So drilling crude oil is now a rocket science as electricity generation and distribution has been. What is even working in Nigeria?
Nigeria is not a serious country. For more than 5yrs now, the dangote refinery has been in the horizon waiting to happen, yet the govt cannot create special drilling facility to cater for this.
