This is good...put the administration on alert.. It is good for us all emkz: |
Lol coming from a man who ruled Nigeria for 8yrs and spent $16 billion on Electricity with nothing to show for it...and VP that ran an SPV. Indeed it is not difficult to rule lol Kuginzi: |
I still don't understand why the Govt cannot stop these illegalities...all you need is a drone with thermal sensor...the heat generated from these illegal refineries will point all of them out...then you go into the forest and bring down the forests for roads that can make patrols easier moving forward. Every inch of this country should be easily accessible...that is how you reduce illegalities ManirBK: |
Someone is bracing up to be the next Diana. The Brother has to deal with following status quo...I would prefer to be Harry for now lol. Bestmanfornow: |
Still waiting for Peter Obi to release a statement .... let us start counting by the days and hours. ijustdey: |
Wrong...since most of you didnt know...Ukraine is not innocent here. They allowed US to train within their country next to Russia. Till today, there is an embargo on a country for allowing or contemplating Russia missiles close to US territory. Ukraine was also trying to join NATO which means Ukraine can attack Russia and all NATO members would join in. Russia see Ukraine as US proxy and by the way US has funded the war, it is clear Russia is fighting for its survival not the other way around....this is why Russia interest aligns with the Palestinian people...most of you don't follow the news or study anything. Russia was Soviet Union...the same Western Nation destroyed that due to the threat they felt it posed to them...Putin lived through Soviet Union collapse...he knows if he dies today, Russia might collapse. Read Putin's autobiography Emeskhalifa: |
Family affair...Gov is Labour Party. Labour Party's office is inside NLC's Headquarters. They have even declared that NLC owes Labour Party so this is all a family affair. 7 months salary lol.. blamingthedevil: |
This is why I believe all Govs must finish all the projects they start...it should be the LAW. On the flip side, Gov Adeleke is now commissioning projects that the former Gov started and the former Gov's name wont be on the plaque lol. Best Strategy in my opinion - Year 1 - First 3 months _ pick our team, Next 6 months - vision and come up with the plan including funding and all, next 3 months implementation Year 2 and Year 3 - Projects done Year 4 - campaigning and seeing that you meet small small needs of the people. Projects should not go into Year 4....everybody will be too busy to do it well, and it will look like a campaign stunt. Small delay, and the whole project in Year 4 becomes an abandoned project. chisomkachy: |
Glad she went to Jamaican Invitational...Some athletes will honor European Invitational and not Carribean ones ... like they are still colonized mentally. robosky02: |
The story of Grace to Grass is typical of a lot of people...look for someone aged that is not doing well and ask for his or her story. This is my conclusion about life.. Money is a spirit...Treat it and respect it and more will come. Everyone will get one break at least...some will get many breaks...don't abuse the opportunity Life is a cycle...Even Joseph and Egypt was not spared from famine. When you are doing ok, prepare for the time things will swing. Every 10yrs, everyone gets a break, an opportunity, a cycle or setback...or even more setback...because a major event always happen at least once in 10yrs. This might be another break for him and I pray he manages it well. Rapmoney: |
Did anyone use seatbelts? Did the child use a car seat? We need to find these out so we can learn from our negligence if none were used ....condolences to the Family...so sad Celestialsword: |

When I was growing up, we had very competitive local young clubs that used to play at secondary school fields like Loyola, Ikolaba, Lagelu and so on...I've always wondered what happened to all these clubs. Our youths had something to do after school...some went to lessons, some went for training or competition...while I think the Govt shouldn't be heavily involved in sports (another avenue to siphon funds), they should encourage top people in the society to take ownership of these young clubs if they still exist so we can raise a new generation of athletes that won't need to come from Europe or the America's. naptu2: |
Not true...unfortunately we have trust deficits and deniers so while we don't want to make things public...and allow perception to cloud people's judgment...it's best to go public than work harder to neutralize negative assumptions ..everyone to its own. I run an NGO...some like to be anonymous but others don't mind their names on plaques...transparency is the key papyjaypaul: |
I am a guy...and I agree that while couples should have some sort of separate investments. There is wisdom in joint ownership, but even if your name is on the paper...if the family feels you had a hand in his demise, it would still be hard to claim such property in Nigeria. So couples can contribute 25% each on joint investment, 25% separate investment, 20% savings and 30% joint bill payments. If you don't have any joint investments at all, both parties wont know about the other's investments at all...which is just as bad and will be inherited by other family members. JB0707: |
No be the area Gov Makinde dey live at? Interesting ....at least we thank him. He should focus on other inner roads and state roads as well. spagettiluv: |
Very commendable but base soil should have been rocks and sharp sand. The clay soil might shift and crack the asphalt. It will depend on maintenance culture though. If they can keep fixing the small cracks, it will last at least 5 - 10 yrs, but if they don't, it might not last that long if heavy duty trucks drive on it. fastseo: |
Lol I have not heard an adult say someone is sounding like a kid. I keep forgetting NairaLand has people with low Intelligent Quotient. I won't drag issues with you. When a man or woman needs to insult to get a point across without debating objectively, it shows the inferiority complex. Online does allow idiots to form sensible humans. Some of those that insult online cannot even pick the crumbs of those they insult not to talk of share food with them. Learn to argue with maturity. You English typing on here is not worthy of a HS Graduate not to talk of a college grad. Have a blessed day. Winnin009: |
By the way, what I am saying Peter Obi can do is what I am already making plans to do...lease a land, get our local plumber to run a series of sprinkler system by running pipes underground from an overhead tank before planting...then release to the community so they can maintain and harvest as they see fit. I do not believe in talking about something, one must actually do it and lead by example. Peter Obi knows how to import...I have no clue how he can turn the country to a producing nation that will be exporting. Followers just follow blindly like Fela said...Mister Follow Follow cucumbar: |
I feel so sad that this is your level of intellect. I did not say that Peter Obi is the President. He has donated upward of close to N100million if not more...my point is...that was not very productive, and he preached from consumption to production...giving money only helps with more consumption. I know its hard to understand the logic of my reasoning. A man that tell you that he can build you a mansion must be able to show you at least that he can build a hut. cucumbar: |
I have spent years listening to Peter Obi...One thing I notice...he says a lot without offering comprehensive solutions to anything. From consumption to production is an example...produce what? with what? By who? The fact is Nigeria's issues are complex. If you don't float, we will run out of money and go bankrupt. Increasing the Naira-Dollar means foreign countries will make less from the Naira they make, and if they pay employees in dollars, they will spend more Naira, which explains why some left. If you want us to produce agriculture massively, we need forex to buy equipment as a Government. The solution I see ...should not be domiciled in the Govt. Peter Obi can start an NGO to expand the irrigation system, rent agricultural tools to farmers, build storage centers, and show how scaling these things can create jobs and feed the nation. He prefers, however, to donate money. He said we need economic policies...which policies? nairalandkachy1: |

Just a practice round for new recruit into IPOB/ESN ... makes you wonder how these got into the school and how they made it this far. NairaOcean: |
He should travel down to Nigeria to speak with the Govt...Lol Blaze14k: |
First, there are no drainages... Two, they can easily maintain this by drilling and adding concrete. If this was asphalt, it would be worse. Third, in Nigeria, we don't have load limit roads. Some of these roads are not meant for heavy duty trucks...he get why. You will need a certain level of depth and different types of reinforcement. That is why certain trucks are banned on certain roads in the West. Four, maintenance culture...you still have to maintain these roads by inspecting them all the time...something we are not great at. Yes concrete can fail and do fail, but Asphalt is worse than concrete...harder to maintain, you have to remove everything and Bitumen is imported for now. Still they could have coated the top with asphalt, then maintain the asphalt. Anyways, I would not condemn all of these...I will be curious about the base soils used and the reinforced rods. That would be your issue here..shifting base. FatherOfJesus: |

You cannot tackle all those without investing in infrastructures that raise the values of land and bring in investments that will give jobs to Nigerians. Disney World alone is the highest employer of labor in Florida. While I understand the sentiment around Landmark, it is not Disney, and we can produce many Landmarks with this Coastal Road. My guess...Tinubu Govt hired consultants who told them what needed to be done ASAP to transform the country, and this must have been one of them. The pace they are going with this road is unprecedented. I know they also plan to move stuff from the PH refinery along this road, and with the rail, they can transport Petroleum products. It is also a great alternative, so they can divert traffic to the new road to repair the old ones. One of our problems in Nigeria is trying to repair roads still in use. We need alternate routes if we plan to be like the West. yawehoverall: |
Keep us posted and email me if you want this to get on a National Newspaper...Police will act when they go viral...but the reporter will want to know if police took steps and if he is being charged. If yes, he might tell you to wait to see if you get justice before publishing the story. Either way, connect with me Beeb1e: |
