This is pure politics, are the US and the UK better countries than China? Did China invade Iraq? or does China own Guwantanamo? was China involved in the rendition that was discovered to have taken place in some european cities recently? or does China take Unilateral actions against other countries as done by the United States in somalia, pakistan and other parts of the world recently? The west are trying very hard to demonized and disparage China just to score some cheap political points and take the attention of people off their own failings and direct it at China, China has little to do with what is going on in Sudan, even if China leaves today the vacuum will be filled by another western nation and the problem will continue to prevail. The west is just trying to cause problem where little or no problem exist. The price of oil has sky rocketed because of the west's(US and UK) foriegn policy fiasco in the middle east,  is that China's responsibility too? Abegi make we  hear word joh.

Misplaced priorities , what's wrong with these imbeciles?  their various constituencies should immediately begin a process of recalling these  shameless law makers for dereliction of duty.  Where they elected to mobilize funds for obama? is that the most pressing needs of the people in their various constituencies? these maniacs should all be sent to jail. The only way the can really support obama is by applying some of his visions into their political agendas and not by stealing from the public in the name of donating to the obama course, under the US constitution only the citizens of the United states are eligible to contribute to the presidentail campaign of any US presidentail candidate so i don't know what they are going to do with the contributed funds since they can't send it to the obama campaign directly.

A person's location on nairaland has nothing to do with his/her actual location this might be real and might be a fraud but to base it on the premise that his location is different from the number he has given is ridiculous i have been living in England for over 6months now but my location still remains Finnland, i know a lot of people here who live in the USA but who's location reads lagos, abuja , ajegule or anyother place, as i aforementioned this might be real at the same time it might be a scam but discarding it soley cos of the location is unwise and laughable.

This pesky issue has been reiterated time with out number but we just dont know what to do about it. we all know that we have a very very big problem but our unwillingness to tackle it is what is really mind boggling. The white people are not our problem ,we are the problem the white people are just taking advantage of what we have made available to them and i don't really blame them much for their actions,if others can get it right i see no reason why we should'nt.

@ focused most of what you have written is correct , but christainity just like i'slam has enslaved more black people in the history of man kind, the bible clearly shows that black people are cursed(noah cursed his black son and said that he will live to serve his white son) , james smith the founder of the mormon church qouted some verses in the bible(i don't precisely know which ones) when declaring that slavery should not end in america because we the black people have been cursed by god and god himself said that we are supposed to be the slaves of the white people according to him. slavery has not been denouced or repudiated strongly in the bible, rather the good treatment of slaves by their masters was espoused in the new testament of bible, there was'nt much difference between the treatment of slaves in the old testament of the bible and the korran. we all know that most of the slaves during the medieval days were blacks. the bottom line is that both religions support slavery and both religions vaguely depict the black race as an inferior, evil and caursed race little wonder why most of the  early european slave traders were priest, pastors and other christain religious leaders who preached christianity and their way of life and took away people into slavery.

Focused, you're quite correct and factual in your submissions, only that You failed to explain why we don't have so many "African Arabians" who are descendants of African slaves captured by the Arabs, You know, just like we have African Americans,  Research has proved indisputably that the simple reason is that, while the western slave traders allowed their African slaves to at least marry and procreate, the Arabs made sure they castrated their African slaves! Thereby adding to the other evils of slavery, the anguish of loss of manhood and hope of a family life.

Black slaves have been castarated and treated in worse ways too in the hands of the white christains so i don't know what you are talking about, some of the black slave women were baby making machines, because the white people at that time prefered the brown slaves(mixed race slaves) working in their houses instead of working on the plantation because the believed they were cleaner and more presentable, the brown slaves were more presentable hence they kept impregnating their slaves to produce more slaves and save them selves money, most of the slave owners thought it was better to impregnate their slaves and get more slaves than use money in buying more. Put in mind that it was just in 1965 that interracial marriage was made legal in the USA.

African religion was formed by the personal interest of some people who discover some naturer science. It was based on the idea of protecting theri discovery. For example if any one discover a particular leave for a perticular purpose, he will demonise the process behind the stuff and call it a religion.

For example, my grandfather told me about a discovery and he has an imale that protect the idea because he was the only one that knows the secrete of the solution to the problem of blindness.

Now I will tell you what he told me before he died. One day while he was in the bush hunting, he discovered a parrot nest, it is natural that no one should see parrot eggs with naked eyes, so to know if the nest contain eggs or hatched you will us fresh palm leaves to test. If the fresh leave got burnt when you put is in the nest then the egg is not yet hashed. So you will wait till it is hatched.

Then you will now blind all the offspring of the parrot and watch what the mother bird will do. So it will go get a particlar leave which will be used to get the baby birds to see again.

You can then trace the leave and it will be used as the major agent for any blindness solution.

My grand father now has an oro masquerade that anyone who need this help will have to swear by this demon called oro before he will provide whatever help on the person. The oro has their worshiper along with his own ifa group.

When last where you in Nigeria? Contrary to your fantasies, family plannning is permeating most nooks and crannies at least of southern Nigeria including among the poor and downtrodden. Point is - if dad is a mechanic or panel beater and mum sells pure water at the market and they have only two [2] kids, what kind of life do you think those 2 kids will have? Do you have any idea just how tough things are for those at the bottom of the heap in Nigeria today? Do you think the parent's combined income is enough for them not to send the kids out to hawk?

here's a hint. Whenever the labour unions call a general strike e.g. over fuel price hikes, by the evening of the first day, you'll see vulcanizers, pure water sellers, yam sellers etc coming out to trade. they support the strike - after all fuel price affects them too but they need that daily sales to survive. too many families in nigeria literally live from hand to mouth. what they eat is what they sold or earned in that day. if they don't sell or earn, they starve until the next day.

people send their kids out to hawk knowing the risk. but they have few or no options. they are not blind or stupid - they know what can happen to their kids. but they can't see what else to do.

In that Chicago southside where you are, black American women are having 10 kids and living on welfare. the govt. complains. the whites complain on fox news. but no govt. in america will dare cancel food stamps or medicare just because some people are abusing it. that is a caring society with responsible leaders not like the thieves who rule nigeria

What you have said is very true but people have to give birth to kids they can take care of, so many people are yet to realize this in nigeria, it will go a long way in helping to reduce the hard situation people find them selves in, over 70 percent of the problem lies on the governments callousness and despicable apathy.

Thats what happens when you believe too much in the unknown (religion or what ever you will like to call it) haba what have these innocent children done? poverty is really a disease. Nigeria is dying because of religion, any thing that man needs to do has to be done by man him self. It's really very hard to run against a movement, Mark Penn(Hillary's campaign director) made that decleration. Obama has a movement behind him and he is really giving the clintons a run for their money,The clintons have been working hard for this for over 8years besides the very strong machine they have assembled but they just don't know how to deal with obama, all the dirt and mud they have thrown at him just is'nt sticking,so they are very confuse at the moment. he just raised $32 million in january alone mosltly from his supporters(over 650,000 of them) and he raised about $5million after super tuesday while clinton is going out of money, lol this is really getting very interesting lets see how everything winds up, its really hard and difficult to run against a movement.

That's bologna. I am not even an Obama or Clinton person myself and I know quite well that the clintons are not the one's making it a race issue. The Blacks are doing that all on their own and it is killing obama. Black Radio and Black people on tv making it a RACE issue. Get your facts right it seems you are not really paying close attention to the race, every political pundit and analyst is blaming the clintons for injecting race into the campaign and you are here saying its the black people .

Marriage is good because it is the foundation of every society, take a look at the african american society and you will see the importance of marriage, the AA society is in ruins because of lack of marriage. Marriage is not a necessity but it is very important because family forms the building units of the larger society.

I haven't started out anywhere with that as my aim - and your troubled heart needs a peaceful resolve which you can only find in Christ. To attack others in the insane manner you have attempted does not make you a better person, did you ever think of that?
