@ BUTONEDAY How long does it last? |
Oga Olofofo Happy birthday to you and wishing you many more fruitful and successful years ahead. |
@ Toxnaija Thanks for your response, honourable enitan has given me another option. alancruise:do some tweaking and adjusting, it requires much patience, right now I'm receiving sirius4 and W3A on onee-90cm dish except for TV Miramar which i have not succeeded to track even pointing on 1-sat alone. i receive MBC1&2, STV1, 2STV, TV Zimbo, Go Africa, TPAI, Vox Africa, LMTV, TV Malagasy, MTA, RTS1, & about 6 feeds (4 on W3A, 2 on Sirius4) |
majekky:Few members receive this bird just ask for the strongest frequency to use for tracking, also remember it's a difficult bird, even for the seasoned hobbyist/trackers to hit green. All the same get the strongest TP, LNB skew, angle and direction then it becomes easier. enitan2002:You don't just patch for patching sake, only use a patch when you know it can improve you stb or clear some channels. There are times that a previous patch works. Right now etv is on N3 and there is no fix for it yet even in europe and usa, talkless of africa. MyTV Africa was FTA for promo reasons, it was never hacked. |
@ All There are three categories of patches. 1. released by the stb manufacturer through forums. What's wrong with this patches practically nothing except that when a box had been massively pirated/cloned. Then the manufacturer coders include a malicious script to knock out the clone boxes while the originals are not affected. e.g. Gemini for dreambox receivers, etc 2. by third party/hobby coders - These type of patches are provided by hobby programmers, they may contain glitches or work perfectly when it's good works on all boxes (fake or original) 3. either 1 or 2 modified by PayTv coders to become malicious. last but not the least comes from PayTV coders who inject a malicious software that either when you unzip hijacks your computer or when you update you receiver knocks it out (atimes these software may affect just the original box or both original and fake) |

Sir, please if you can assist me let me know by responding to this post. He is in london. zenus:See attached file with diagram but no pictures. I had to split and attach two pages except the last one (i.e. pages 1&2, 3&4, , 11-13) due to the file size limit (200kb) First attachment pages 1 & 2 |
@all Strong Technologies l.l.c., operator of the My TV / Muvi TV - 19.10.2009 Dubai - Strong Technologies l.l.c., operator of the My TV DTH pay TV service for sub-Sahara Africa, was surprised by reports of announcements having appeared in the Zambian press regarding warnings made by the Zambian Government to My TV over the illegal nature of its alleged carriage of Muvi TV, a Zambian TV station with only regional broadcasting rights. Strong Technologies hereby declares that Muvi TV: - is not and never was part of, or hosted by, the My TV service - is hosted on an independent platform, with no association whatsoever to My TV Actually I heard in a previous Muvi TV news broadcast of the channel added to MY TV. But it seems My TV had changed its mind seeing the pressure as usual from our so called African leaders http://www.mytvafrica.tv/Press.aspx?id=-1 |
segunfms:Please, don't post the frequency, others have been using it (we should always try to control our exitement). just tell people to blindscan their receivers may be you can give them the time (or alternatively send the TP through sms or email to people you know) |
@Butoneday Thanks for the call. |
@Butoneday Please call Pito ASAP, he needs to communicate with you urgently. |
Butoneday contact George_D, I don't have you mail or number |
George_D I sent something to your YM offline for forwarding to appropriate member concerned. Note: It's for testing purposes only |
George_D:Click on my profile and view my last post for clarification between quad and quattro lnbs i don't know why my posts are being deleted quattro is used with a multiswitch |
@ George I posted something about the quattro before and it was deleted. here is a summarised version A quattro LNB has to be used in conjuction with a multiswitch as it has for seperate outputs H and V / Lo and High band. A quad lnb is all four of these from one output and are switched by voltages or a 22khz tone sent from the Set top. So a quattro will be of no use to you unless you are intending to run it through a multiswitch and feed multiple set tops via one dish. Unless you wish to watch just one of the four broadcasted frequencies. you can click on my "username" and click on "show last posts of this person to view it." Thanks |
@George D & obijack George, I think what he needs is a quad, not a quattro. Reason being that a quad outputs 4 IF signals for 4 seperate receivers while a quattro is used in combination with a multiswitch. True quattro lnbs have four seperate outputs permanently 1. Low Band Vertical 2. Low Band Horizontal 3. High Band Vertical 4. High Band Horizontal If you want to put a satellite receiver in up to four rooms you use a quad lnb, running a separate cable to each receiver. If you want to distribute to say every room in your house, you use a quattro, feeding all four cables into a multiswitch which then distributes down a single cable to each room. As far as any connected receiver is concerned, it effectively sees a single LNB. An advantage is that you can also feed terrestrial tv (and sometimes radio) into the multiswitch and so only need a single coax to each room for both satellite and terrestrial (fitting a mulitple wall-plate to extract the differnt signal). The multiswitch handles feeding the correct hi/lo/hor/vert signal to any of the receivers. Octo Lnbs are probably a cheaper alternative (though requiring more cables). If you need a terrestrial distribution amp to feed your tv signals around the house, then a quattro, via a multiswitch would proably be a better bet - though you MIGHT need to replace the coax to each room with proper double-screened satellite coax. |
cantell:I'm am always occupied from morning till 6pm, it can only be possible after 6pm or Sunday this weekend 18-Oct |

@George_D & Butoneday Thanks for your responses. I think i will try blindscan during live events on the sat to see what will come up. |
