Politics / Re: Kwara CAN Accuses Governor AbdulRazaq Of Marginalising Christians by middlebelter(m): 9:02pm On Apr 12, 2020
Empiree:
Kwara government MUST ignore this terrorist group called CAN. It is their trick to gain ground. We know them well. We urge muslims in the region to clamp down all these religious extremists, CAN of worms. We will eventually sue them for their christian manifesto that was published in the 90s which called for religious chaos in the country. We must do everything we can to eradicate CAN from Nigerian. Itis a christian terrorist group. Kwaran govt must not give them any attempt in any govt position.

Look at current Ogun state govt. He has christian logos in his state office. They invited White christians for prayers in govt office. Kwara MUST rebuke this religious lunatic and kick them out of Kwara. They always cry out while they engage in unruly behavior. I urge everyone reading my post to please read CAN manifesto that was published in 1994 which called for killings of muslim leaders in nigeria and around the world. It called for death of muslim leaders and destruction of Holy Kaaba. It called for death of then King of Saudi Arabia and called prophet muhammad HIV/gonorrhea positive. We will eventually sue CAN.

I urge every meaningful nigerians to rebuke this evil organisation. This is how they cry out in order to gain ground. Once they gain ground they become demons. Kwara is the last stronghold for muslims in yorubalnad. Therefore, muslims must checkmate Christian Association Of Nigeria by any means necessary. If you need the manifesto holla at me. We must spread their evil documents. It was published in Ibadan by CAN which was headed by oloribu RCCG, JW and Kumuyi church.

With people like you in Government, Kwara state is already on fire. You are talking as if you area dictator.Your comment is not only provocative it is completely immature for a publics space of this nature.

I doubt if the document you are talking about on killing of muslims exist, and if it does, the probability it was cooked by muslims to blackmail the christians is very high.Everyone in this country knows and with due respect to my muslim friends that the members of muslims organizations are more prone to violence like you are suggesting than christians. Imagine you saying christian organization should be routed out of Kwara state. Can you stand a reverse of such comment from a christian without resulting into violence. The unfortunate thing is if Kwara should burst into violence, only Mr Governor will be blamed and bad advisers like you will escape.
What exactly is the Muslim vs Christians Population in Kwara state that a Governor will be giving appointments as if the Christians does not exist.

Your mindset and understanding of politics is dangerous for democracy.

Let CAN register its own political party instead of hiding behind the Church to play politics

That is not an intelligent response. Did you reflect on this comment before you make it at all? If we have Christians party and Muslim Party what do you think will follow? it is noting other than religious war?

I sincerely pray this Governor will take the path of wisdom by addressing the marginalization issue before it degenerates further. No country has ever won a religious war.Beside, this man will just make it easy for Bukola Saraki's candidate to win easily. When the aggrieved Muslims and Christians unite against his Government, it will be easy to vote him out.

Gregyboy or greg whatever you choose as monicker, you need to know that at this age and time people can discern politically induced writers from writers with sound research background. Whether you like it or not, the historical relationship between the Yorubas and the Edo people have come to stay and you should perhaps be worried about more serious issues of economic stability and political manipulations.

Although some of us are in middlebelt, we indeed wish to be in South West, not because SW has all but chances of rapid development is higher in the region in the events of reversal back to Regional Federation system destroyed by Aguyi Ironsi and Ben Akabueze. Indeed, there's no reason to worry about if Yorubas were united before colonial administration or not. Even within the same nuclear family has every member of the family been agreeing all the time. Are you saying the entire Northern Nigeria of even South East are united? Please don't distract yourself.

We have deceived for too long by GMB. Imagine Chadian soldiers are the one freeing our army in captivity? Why will that not happen because even the BH caught are being released after they have wasted the lives of many Nigerian Soldiers? What is the worth of the life a Nigerian soldier to our Government?
Thank you President Idris Derby. Please if you can, help us completely route the BH. As you can see, we are helpless and we shall appreciate anything you can do to help us stop BH from killing our soldiers moving forward. God bless Chad!

Any member of NMA on this platform should kindly assist in mobilising the Medical Doctor and other Medical Professionals Bodies in Nigeria against this move. It may either be a way to embezzle funds while inadvertently giving room for the Chinese to effectively execute their evil agenda. Chinese shouldn't be trusted.

Your type of opinion can only lead to self distraction if you are not healed in good time.

The Hon Minister should direct LASG to provide Nigerians more information on the spread of the pandemic within Lagos. It is just not enough to say 81 cases confirmed in Lagos, we need information on the spatial spread within the state either by LGA/LCDA or by Ward. The information on spread should not be kept secret. It will help highlight the need for people to stay indoor and not be playing football on the street on gathering in groups on the street to chat when there maybe an infected person in the group unknown to others.

I there say the enforcement is weak at local level. Even on Ikorodu Road around Ketu popular bus stop you see Dando drivers carrying passengers, on your way to Ikorodu I understand there was traffic this pm and police were unable to stop them because of their usual habits..

Chineke.

Words fail me.

But some tenants can be so wicked, you didn't pay, you don't want them to disconnect your light.

You want to keep enjoying where you did not sow.

Is that not wickedness.

See what you caused yourself.

When you get well, try and pay before you pack out.

That a tenant is not paying bill is not a reason for any landlord to brutalize the tenant . Perhaps you didn't examine the extent of the injury inflicted on her. She will eventually pay the bill but can the injury by reversed. The landlord's wife is probably a ritualistic for her to be inflict this type of injury on fellow human being.

Will you allow/ support any landlord to inflict this type on wound on any of your brother or sister for owing bill. This type of evil should not be supported by normal human being.

Crime / Series Of Bomb Explosion In The South West - Coincidence? by middlebelter(m): 12:32pm On Mar 30, 2020
Although the attention of majority of Nigerians and by extension mankind is on Covid-19, but we must not take for granted matters of serious security importance that are capable of wrecking much havoc as the pandemic.
It started with Okeisha Old Secretariat area of Ekiti State in Ado-Ekiti, then Lagos pipe line accident /explosion and now Owo road in Akure all of them within a space of less than 3 months with unconvincing explanation of the actual causes and damages that are monumental.
It will amount to asking too much if we tell Mr President to address the Nation on this issues, indeed his political followers may start calling you names, but if the people in South West fails to ask questions and demand adequate investigation and feedback on this matter we may be sleeping under a house with burning roof.

Why am I curious? The display of rejection of Amotekun by Myeti Allah group notwithstanding the security implications of allowing the Cattle Herdsmen to ravage the farmlands of the subsistence farmers tells me there is an agenda I may be wrong but we can't ere on the side of caution.

I therefore call on all the social cultural organisations in SW to engage the Nigeria Police on a thorough investigations of the trend in bomb blast /explosions until a satisfactory report is produced.

Thank you for the insult, I appeal to you to do a cost/benefit analysis of not shutdown then you will agree that there is wisdom in shutting down. As I respond to your insult, UK has just taking the decision to shut down for three weeks after loosing many souls to the dreaded pandemic. There progress assessment shows that if they didn't shutdown the loss of lives and properties will not only continue but their economy will continue to plug down into recession.

I wonder why it took the FGN 22 solid days to see what I saw on March 2 that made me open this thread. A total luckdown of the social system with the exception of the essential services required to combat the pandemic is the sacrifice this Covi-19 is demanding.

I knew the likes of Atiku Abubakar's son are many in this country and will never faithfully self isolate. Now only God knows how far the wicked guy has spread the merciless virus.A governor is self quarantined because of his indiscretion. If I feel disappointed in Atiku's son what about the Nairaland Moderators that did not see the reason to hyelp us drum the need for total shutdown to prevent monumental loss? The fact is the FGN must also direct all the nonne essential private sector firms to shutdown. 14 days shutdown will not kill us. it will be cheaper than been confronted with full- blown Covid-19 outbreak that we are not in anyway prepared to fight. Yes, we are not prepared. We don't have the financial resources, we don't have adequate manpower, we don\'t have the tools to fight and do you know what? The Western countries have their own battle with Coronavirus and will not be available to offer any aid.

We you close schools and tell teachers to keep reporting for work, it doesn't work that way. The Nigerian Stock Exchange is still opearting the trading floor with more than 50 traders on daily bases and nobody id=s telling the DG to shutdown the floor and enforce strict remote trading. It looks as if we did not know the enormity of the issue we have in our hands.

Madam, I agree with you. Please tell GMB to kindly make the declaration. 14 days sacrifice may save thousands of lives in Nigeria. We have no resources to handle outbreak. Madam please tell the president to direct private sector to also shutdown except their services or products are essential services needed to support the fight against the pandemic.

Mr Governor should te Nigerian Stock Exchange and all Capital Trading Points in Lagos to either shut down or be restricted to remote trading from their offices.

Also in as much as majority of the private sector and Federal Staff are still moving around going for work in Lagos, we are NOT serious about curtailing the monster.
Close your eye and shut down all none essential business for 14 days. The financial loss will not be as monumental as not shutting down. I pray they listen.

Is the Federal Government aware that this money is not for Government? The money belongs to RSA holders. FGN might have being paying for FG staff but as soon the money has been credited into the RSA of the various beneficiaries, it ceases to be FG money. There is no law that empowers Government to take what does not belong to her and it without the permission of the owners.

Perhaps there are things I don't understand about this plan anyway.

I wish LASG come down heavily on such people contravening and law. They should be made to pay huge penalties. This is because if their actions leads to the spread of the pandemic, the consequences may not only cost huge sums of money but lives.

Let them be, Coronavirus has not respect for political class. I fact it appears Covid-19 has penchant for big men. Many parliamentary members have been infested in Iran, the wife of the Canada Prime Minister has been infected while the husband is on self quarantine.
Key words is obedience to safety precautions, avoiding crowds etc. If they choose to test the strength of Covid-19, the consequences of their indiscretions will be on their heads.
