hybridblood07: Bro, it was never a rape. I believe they had an affair together and probably he promised to marry her but he ended up with another woman. If truly she was raped, there's no how her parents would keep such issue and not report to the law. I guess you think this is oyibo man's country. In Nigeria, even the c cumbersome and clumsiness of the justice system is enough to let you know "there is no justice. It's just us". I wonder why you think sex with a minor, under-eighteen is not rape? I guess you don't what stigma is or what it can force people/victims to do. If you know, you know. |

festacman: From Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo's response and body language, one can conclude that this case is just starting and it is likely to be a 'marathon' of legal acrobatic displays up to Supreme Court.
If you recall how Nigerian court system works, then it is safe to predict that the day this case would finally finally end, Busola Dakolo would be a grey-haired grandmother and Pastor Biodun would be a suspender-wearing elderly dude supported to the Supreme Court by doting grandchildren. With this, and all the delays that go with it, one can not be wrong to maintain that Nigerian judicial system is a perfect definition injustice. Really heartaching that the so-called Church system does not have a way to query into issues like this and come with useful information/findings that can help preserve the system as a place of holiness and righteousness. |

Oby got it wrong yet, the ever incompetent federal government should not ride on that to sermonize like they are taking responsibility or making any difference. Bigger blame lies with the government that is proud to have worsened the lives of her people. |

Even when you hear Boko Haram killed people, you will still see Nigerians coming to the same thread the killing is being discussed to make a joke of it, unless it affects them personally. |

If care isn't taking, it might lead to revolution Nigerians really need to be brutally dealt with if that is what it takes for them to wake them from their docility and slumber, get their acts right and move forward for once. There is no dignity in being a big brother that is so backward, a bad example not good to inspire the others to grow. |

ornicus: It is not about shutting down.please understand that security is an illusion. All you need is a small breakdown in law and order. So you lock your shop what does 8t take to break in? Time. Time is a problem for a single thief afraid of getting caught.for a mob of thieves, no big deal.
The sad thing is that it is people from the same community who were employed at shoprite Tha facilitated these robberies. Also food for thought. These are your drivers, housemaids and Mai guards.mostbof them.just waiting for the right moment to rob and murder you. Not far from truth. But at least doing the possible best is not all that out of place. |

Who are maiming and killing Nigerians ? Who will pay the insurance compensation? If MTN Networks is shut down who will suffer for it? Both sides will suffer it is the unfortunate truth. Though not the way to go, the people were forced into this by Nigerian government lacklustre disposition and indecisiveness in dealing with the attacks on Nigerians in South Africa. We pray things don't escalate beyond control as both sides will lose what they don't wish to. |

South Africans Government would have fished out all the perpetrators by now, and are still begging him to compromise Buhari is not being intimidated. Nigeria really needs technocrats to replace all these recycled old illiterates and thieves ruling the country since second republic But the impoverished masses aren't done with them. In those recycled old illiterates do they find their Messiahs even as they remain busy with their petty tribal quarrels every now and them. And the South African brothers, killing our people, provided no one close to us is affected, it is perfect to laugh and joke about it. That is the reality of our situation. |

VisioDirect: If the life of an average Nigerian is valued by the Nigeria government, the xenophobia killing should not have gotten to this stage before South Africa government is sanctioned. How many more Nigerians need to be killed before the Nigeria government will say enough is enough No surprises at all. It has always being a fact that there is no genuine government in Nigeria. Reason the people are frustrated and running away to other countries to seek greener pastures. It is common belief going by how our country is run, that life of an average Nigerian is worthless. |

As things stand now there isn't even any flicker of hope that things are beginning to improve. |
