RomanceRe: Do Women Really Love Tall Guys? by moremi2008(m): 7:24pm On Dec 24, 2011
All other things being equal, girls prefer tall guys. However, a girl won't chose a tall guy with an ugly face over a handsome medium-height guy. Most guys above 5' 7" should have no trouble wooing girls. A guy that's too tall (say, above 6' 5"wink might actually find himself struggling to find chicks. Above all, we should remember that men come in packages. A short guy might have an abundance of other desirable factors. One of my best friends is only 5' 4" and is married to a stunning woman from a rich family. But then, he works for Goldman Sachs and is the nicest husband I have ever seen (consequently, his wife is the happiest woman I know). There's a man or woman out there for everybody. Just be the best you can be; the right woman will come along.

It's not a matter of who dey fear who, it's a matter of decency and respect.

Even if you don't fear me, you could as well respect the couple.

It's a marriage between a man and a woman, not man and man or man and animal.

Just make sure you get the best when you wants to marry, leave others with theirs.

Thank you my brother,  or is it sister?  grin
Egbawa! What is this crazy Aunty yarning? How are your comments related to this post? Are you ok?

Music/RadioRe: Jamaican Reggae Star, Luciano, Stoned In Port Harcourt by moremi2008(m): 7:29pm On Dec 23, 2011
Stupid Nigerians again! Seeking record-breaking performance from foreign artistes but only willing to pay a tenth of what their peers in developed countries pay to see those acts. So the barbarians in Port Harcourt were expecting Jay-Z when they paid N1,500 to see Luciano? Bloody Fools!
Nairaland GeneralRe: Fellow Nairalanders:is Police Truely Our Friend? by moremi2008(m): 7:20pm On Dec 23, 2011
Absolutely NO! The Nigerian Police is your worst enemy. When you see them, run if you can! They will either try to extort money from you or rob you!
FamilyRe: How To Mend A Marriage After An Affair. by moremi2008(m): 6:00pm On Dec 22, 2011
You will need to provide more details to get any meaningful advice. Are you a guy? Who cheated? You or your spouse? Was it a one-night stand or was it a full-blown several-month affair? There is no panacea for every situation. It all depends.

PoliticsRe: Facts On Lekki Toll & The Tinubu Connection by moremi2008(m): 6:51am On Dec 21, 2011
abbey621:
I for one believe the poster and his supporters are smoking crack! Agree, Fashola and Tinubu are probably exploiting their positions but by no means are they sucking the Lagos population dry, in fact, out of all the states in Nigeria, Lagos still remains the most developed and most lucrative for businesses. The sad truth is that most Lagosians don't pay their fair share of tax, including most of you here on Nairaland. Apart from taxes, most Lagosians are fond of blaming the government when they themselves are the ones spoiling the states, imagine the government spent billions on drainage systems only for it to be cluttered by people dumping trash and waste into drains. You claim that the government is not doing anything but you would rather spend the little you make on beer and party than to save for rainy days. The government is not the solution to all problems and should not be relied upon to do everything, what ACN has done in Lagos should not be underestimated and never taken for granted, sure TINUBU and FASHOLA embezzle money but at the same time they've helped developed Lagos and are a lot better than PDP, who would have embezzled just as much with nothing to show for it.
You do realize that Lagos State levies a huge state tax on businesses and employees, right? You also do realize that a lot of his so-called improvements are funded with HUGE amounts of public debt? Are you also aware that his so-called PPP projects are just hand-outs to Tinubu and his boys? If you call this progress, then you must be out of your mind. When governors in other states are looting the public treasury, most people look away because it's Federal allocation money, but when you are taxing people's daily bread, tolling their means of livelihoods and then stealing the proceeds, then you are a bastard that isn't worthy of life. God will judge Fashola and Tinubu (and all their children and descendants) according to the works of their hands. They have stolen from poor widows and orphans but God sits in heaven and laughs because their end will not be good. Shelah.

Wow! No wonder my Mum, a Lagos resident, refused to fall for all the showmanship of Fashola's beautification projects, she kept telling me that nothing is really being achieved and that all the so-called improvements are just surface make-up and that there has been no real progress with Lagos. Now I fully understand. I think we all fell for his propaganda machine. I pray God judges him according to the works of his hands.

I wonder how much Fashola is paying Eko Ile to maintain his internet propaganda! Eko Ile, you are not a credible source; please stop spreading falsehoods and foolishness. Can somebody that's on the ground provide a true progress report? Is Fashola a master propagandist, a hollow Tinubu puppet or is he truly moving Lagos forward?
Foreign AffairsRe: Crying Feast: Can Nigerians Mourn Their Leaders Like The Koreans? (video) by moremi2008(m): 3:32pm On Dec 20, 2011
I won't lie, that video made me laugh out loud for like a full minute! Orchestrated foolishness! I guess Nigerians would cry too under gunpoint or if induced by bags of rice. I mean, didn't we have Nigerians carrying supporting signs for IBB a few years ago?
Foreign AffairsRe: North Korean Leader Kim Jong II, 69, Has Died by moremi2008(m): 12:33pm On Dec 19, 2011
Some Nigerians are truly brain-dead. I came in here hoping I wouldn't find some knuckle-heads defending Kim Jong Il and mourning his death but low and behold, it was too much to expect this. I am sure there are some Nigerians that regret that the slave trade ended.
PoliticsRe: Happy Birthday To Muhammadu Buhari by moremi2008(m): 9:08pm On Dec 18, 2011
Where are all these crazy sycophants coming from? When did GENERAL Buhari become this innocent, upstanding citizen? Why are we trying to white-wash a dirty, stinking pig? Buhari needs to leave Nigeria alone. We have spoken twice that we don't want him. What else does the old thieving fool want?
PoliticsRe: 25 Year Old Missing Nigerian Found Dead In Usa by moremi2008(m): 5:53am On Dec 18, 2011
Why are Nigerians so patently delusional? What about the news we have heard from credible sources suggests an homicide besides the vain and confused hopes of grieving friends and family? So somebody threw her off the bridge? I am not even sure who is doing more harm. Those that have concluded that is is certainly dead and the fools that keep insisting it's an homicide?
RomanceRe: Desperate To Find A Husband,is It Normal To Feel This Way? by moremi2008(m): 7:39pm On Dec 17, 2011
Most girls that claim to be desperate for love have no idea what they are talking about and aren't ready for love in the first place. I dated a girl like that. To the entire world, she was a paragon of virtue and wanted to get married so badly. It wasn't until I started dating her that I realized she was a carnal, gold-digging, selfish, emotional mess! There was no way I was going to marry that one for house oh! I know better now, I always avoid all those holier-than-thou desperadoes! The desperation is always a cover for an inner deficiency they are looking for a man to feel but that only God can fill.
Christianity EtcRe: Slaps Giving! By Bishop David Oyedepo by moremi2008(m): 7:08pm On Dec 17, 2011
This thread is full of all manner of dead works. The same people that will slap their children, girlfriends, housegirls/houseboys, drivers etc. are coming on here to suddenly declare a slap as abuse. Go and read your Bibles well: Jesus Christ drove buyers and sellers from the temple with whips. That woman came to the house of God to blaspheme. She did it on purpose and with a mission. She'll remember the slap next time she wants to come out and associate Jesus Christ with witchcraft and sorcery.

I don't know y the insult but thanks for the advice any ways,
I think you should be grateful for the insults because that's how anybody with good intentions for you will react. I hope the insults give you a clearer idea of just how dangerous and serious the situation could be to a child of God. It appears, though, that you aren't too bothered by the situation. Good luck with everything and don't forget to let us know how it goes.
RomanceRe: Dating A Nigerian Capone by moremi2008(m): 5:37am On Dec 16, 2011
Your life and happiness is clearly of little value to you. You think attending church on Sundays and keeping a Bible in the house means he's a different man? Are you yourself a spirit-filled Christian? If no, then there's nothing on here that will convince you from leaving that man. If yes, then you need to go on your knees in fasting and prayer; no sane woman will go into a relationship like this with eyes wide open. Good luck! I am so happy you're not a family member.

At least we no longer have homosexuals! I'll take that over electricity anyday. Our forefathers didn't have any electricity and they built morally upstanding civilisations. This might actually be a blessing in disguise. Now everybody will go to church instead of watching TV.
Nairaland GeneralRe: How Can We Overcome Feelings Of Rejection? by moremi2008(m): 3:40pm On Dec 14, 2011
Romantic disappointments are hard to overcome quickly. The best remedy is to prayerfully focus your disappointment/anger on some life-improving activity. With time, the sting lessens and before you know it, you're over it. Good luck!

Nigerians are enemies of progress sha! Where were all these protesters when the roads were being built? They want free road, abi? The can protest all they want, nothing will happen. Tolls will be collected on that road per agreement otherwise, all hopes of further PPP developments in Lagos will be crushed and all Lagos people will be on the losing end.
