CelebritiesRe: Logan Williams Died Of Fentanyl Overdose At The Age Of 16 by Mryacks: 10:46pm On May 19, 2020
Babatunde40:
Some Nigerians think only cocaine is a hard drug. There are many

The Fentanyl that killed this guy is a very bad drug. It is a pain reliever. If you have heard of morphine, this Fentanyl is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine

Morphine is C₁₇H₁₉NO₃

Fentanyl is C22H28N2O. That is "die well"

2mg of Fentanyl can do what 1000mg of tramadol cannot do.

Since Fentanyl is for severe pain relief, it instantly blocks the pain receptors of the brain. If you are on Fentanyl and you are involved in an accident, you will not feel anything. You will just bleed to death unknowingly
Wow....even reading this shivers me.

HealthRe: Covid 19 - The Difference Between Medication And Vaccination by Mryacks: 8:47pm On May 13, 2020
IBNgemini:
It seems even the woke and enlighten Nigerians goof when it comes to differentiating between a vaccine and a drug. I was on the Madagascar trend on twitter earlier today, I saw so many tweets from the so called INFLUENCERS saying we already have a cure in Madagascar organics, we don't need a vaccine. The Madagascar cure might be effective, but there are clinical and scientific backup on how it cures CoVid 19. The bedrock of modern medicine is MECHANISM, well the crux of this article is not on the Madagascar cure, it is to enlighten people on the difference between a vaccine and a drug.

What are vaccines?
In simple term vaccines are altered, inactive or killed microorganisms that are injected into the body system in order to elicit an immune response without disease manifestation. What this means is that a vaccine contains that particular virus or microbe(microorganism) responsible for a disease, e.g Smallpox virus is responsible for causing smallpox, the vaccine for smallpox will contain either a killed Smallpox virus or an altered Smallpox virus which has been weakened or ripped off its pathogenicity(ability to cause disease) to still capable of inciting an immune response.

The goal behind vaccination is not to treat you against the disease, but to prime your immune system in a way that when it encounters the real virus, the immune system will quickly ward off the virus because it is not a new thing to the system. Just picture this as "ONCE BITTEN TWICE SHY SCENARIO," but in actual sense we were never beaten, because our first exposure to the virus which was the vaccine which did not lead to disease manifestation, unlike a natural kind of immunity where you fall sick during the first exposure to the virus, but after recovery(if you are lucky) your body will be primed against the virus, and any subsequent exposure your body already knows what it is dealing with and fight it off quickly.

So, how does this differ from medication?
By medication I mean therapeutic drugs, organics(herbs) etc. What a drug does it to cure you after you have been infected or probably diseased, it assists your immune system in fighting the virus, different kinds of drugs have different mechanisms by which they help in curing a particular disease. Some drugs are specific in the disease they treat, some have wide range, but in whatever a drug does it is not in its place to prevent from encountering the disease.

Clearly we can see the difference vaccines prevent you from falling sick, while drugs help you manage or get you back up after you have falling sick. A vaccine is useless to someone who is already sick, because there is nothing to prevent, but a drug will come in handy to salvage the situation. A healthy person has no business talking a drug hoping it is will be prevent them from having the disease, rather the person should be vaccinated so he/she won't fall sick when he/she encounters the real virus.

We can see the ultimate goal to fight this pandemic is to prevent its spread via vaccination. PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.

Thank You.
Thanks for the clarification...
FamilyRe: Who Do We Blame For A Child's Failure? by Mryacks: 12:40pm On May 13, 2020
EdEdEddy:
Who really is responsible for the failure of a child in the society?

Just here to learn, the child itself is not an option here.

While growing up these are the common factors, that can make or destroy a child.

But really who do we blame, for the childs failure?

Family
Religion
Environment
Teachers
A combination of all the factors who listed, but mostly I would say family and environment.

The family because it is the first area of socialization and so it influences the mind and behaviour of the child at an early stage. Ofcouse there are exeception to this when some children are being trained well at home but still get influenced by external forces. This is where the second factor comes in (environment/society). The child gets influence further by what is obtainable in those climes and the people (other children, adults, and core values) that is such a child..

You need not bother yourself what people think about your marital status. We all run our different races in this life.

Never mind anybody telling you about life expectancy and stuff like that. No man can tell who'll die before who. Death has proven to be a respecter of no age! In fact, many men have even met their untimely deaths by getting married to some kind of women.

So bro, take your time and do things at your own pace.

This is what showoff does. It breeds envy and bring you unnecessary problems.

Man will do many things to get himself loved; he will do all things to get himself envied ~ Mark Twain

Envy is a weed that should never be watered.

While on my routine evening walk, I saw him driving one of his Rolls Rolls Phantom (with no number plate) inside Omole Phase 2 about 2weeks ago. Driving up & down (as if strolling with the car).

Never be so foolish as to believe that you're stirring up admiration by flaunting the qualities that raise you above others.

By making others aware of their inferior position, you are only stirring up "Unhappy Admiration" or envy.

And when people envy you, they will work against you insidiously.

It is now that people will want to know his source of income. People who never cared to know how much he suffered in the past.

Why? Simply because he brought it upon himself through his unnecessary showoffs.

People hate those who make them feel their own inferiority ~ Lord Chesterfield

The fool dares the gods envy by flaunting his victories.

I've thought of it, and I'm starting to think that there's nothing unusual about the recent deaths in the north.
Maybe that's how people usually die in the north, but just like most other stuff that goes on there, the deaths are under reported.
With the high mortality rate in the north and how quickly people are buried there, it's quite difficult to keep an accurate tab on the death rate there.
But with covid-19, every death now raises more suspicion and probing, hence more coverage. lipsrsealed

Whenever I see pictures of suffering children in large numbers, Michael Jackson's song starts playing in my mind:

Heal the world,
Make it a better place,
For you and for me, and the entire human race,
There are people dying,
If you care enough for the living,
Make a better place for you and for me.

I wish i had the money, I will take them all in, and raise them to be the great champions of tomorrow that will keep passing the torch to make the world a better place! Jesus said if you have 2 jackets and you see your neighbor has none, standing in the cold freezing winds, give him a jackets. Jesus said we should feed the hungry, we should give shelter to the homeless,we should support the widow, Jesus said we should be nice to strangers, we should love our neighbors as we love ourselves. If only everyone will obey Jesus, then the world will truly be a better place. But everybody don kolo, even me sef grin. May God have mercy on us all and give us the grace to obey him grin
