Blackhacker:That God is Good All The Time. |
MadamVanessa:As seemingly defensive as this is, it is quite demonic. You may need to go for deliverance or simply rededicate your life to Christ. They may not possess you sexually, but for collecting their gifts with ulterior motives, you're indebted to them. Jezebel spirit is real. I don't know if that's the actually spirit behind what you described, but take it serious. Try to stop and live a clean life for some months. If you can't then there's a spirit in control that needs to be cast out of you. I hope this doesn't scare you but brings you to repentance. I believe you're going to be useful in God's kingdom, winning souls of men and women by God's Grace and some of your experience. |
Animegirl:Technically.,that's actually true. Sex can be with anyone. but it's different with someone you actually have feelings for. Sex is physical, love-making is soulish/emotional/mental. And usually leads to soul-ties. But whether sex or love-making, all should be done within the confines of marriage. The easiest way to ruin a godly relationship is to get sexually involved before marriage. |
tctrills:These are very Profound questions. God is set to reveal Himself to you. 1. You know God by seeking Him in sincerity and humility. By asking the right questions like you're doing now and being open-hearted. He reveals himself in various ways, the Bible is a documented book inspired by His Spirit. So clearly it helps a lot. Studying the bible without the Spirit of God teaching you makes it head-knowledge which is not productive but destructive. 2. What does it mean to be a Christian? A Christian is not a title but a nature. One who has known Christ and now talks, walks and works like Him. One who bears the gifts and fruit of the Spirit. 3. By studying the Word of God to Know and Do His Will. Not for ulterior motives or arguments. |
SweetBuns:Say no more... I'm your soec. ![]() Surprised you didn't add broke men. Typo/Oversight? Lol |
Antoeni:As right as you are that Christians ought to know their boundaries, especially when it comes to profession, you have to also understand the place of compassion. A believer is meant to be compassionate. So she might have been in a situation where she was torn between her spiritual obligation and professional obligation. There are grey areas to this story hence why it may be a bit too early to judge her until we hear her side of the story. Her deportation should however not be seen as the end of the world. God does not waste his ministers where they are not valued, I believe this will end in praise and God's name will be glorified. |
money121:With this attitude, na only your mama go dey patronize you last last. |
money121:Must everyone patronize you? Must someone patronize you before you are nice to them? If you had handled it well, that was a potential customer and may have been a loyal one. Wisdom is profitable to direct. |
Ballotelle:First realize that most disappointments are but blessings in disguise. Many people are stuck in jobs they do not like but pays their bills. You've been forced out of that pool. What will you have launched into if you had not lost your job but you decided to resign? Do not limit yourself. Is your wife supportive? Is she working? If no, you may need to be under-employed to foot your bills. If yes, take your time to pray for direction. Some times you need some time to decide what you will do. Most importantly, every thing starts with getting God right. |
Chingyyy878:You must be willing to choose between them. If she is indeed as you perceive, God's plan for you, then that friendship is worth sacrificing. A good friend if indeed he knows the ex is a good person should not deprive both of you of happiness, if he has moved on. |
agulion:It's difficult not to like this man. Even though I have my personal reasons not to like him, I can't deny his excellent spirit. He is a blessing to Abia state and the East. And hopefully to Nigeria some day. |
Rossikk:Our education institutions are nothing to write home about. Most schools don't have the facilities to well-equip students. Most students we churn out can't adequately defend their course certificates. Corruption is insidious... it affects every thing directly and indirectly. |
Lamanii22:Every thing has it's Pros and Cons. They're both single/divorced for a reason. They both have to allow themselves to heal first other wise.. fry pan to fire. But if they've learnt the necessary lessons from previous relationship and healed, they're going to be able to understand and support each other better. Most importantly, they should please put God first. |
IAMBOSS1990:It has been normalised o. Only God can deliver this generation from decadence. |
Truths9ja:Age is such a great snare to so many especially Nigerians. We practically idolize age. Age is not the determinant for seniority or honor. Seniority is determined by a whole lot of factors, age is simply one of them. Glory is the determining factor. Who has achieved what you desire? In honesty and humility, who is more successful than you? What do you glory in? Is it Age? Is it Money Is it Education? Is it Spirituality? is it Connection? is it Beauty? Is it Marriage? Is it Children? Is it Talent/Skill? is it Certificates? Is it Followers on Social Media? All these are the factors that can determine who is a senior to you. And to each their own. But in Nigeria our culture happens to glory in Age and Money and Spirituality the most. Hence why we are so reactive against her calling Davido who is clearly her Elder in the music industry, in money, in pedigree, in so many things she just like most people desire. Most importantly, scripturally, if we must glory in any thing, we should glory in our knowledge of God, our faithfulness to Him and that our names are written in heaven. |
Kukutenla:Like I said, it is not for the carnally minded. Stick to what you understand. Your little foetal mind might get fried trying to even understand it. |
Odin13:Some things cannot be judged casually/carnally/naturally. There are people you don't cross. Akeredolu was not totally in support of Tinubu, and I suspect he must have been working on an agenda against him. I don't even think Tinubu did any thing to attack him. He is being judged for what he knows he did. I suspect it has a lot to do with the Yoruba Nation Agenda. Tinubu was not in support of the agenda. |
FOURSQUARE GOSPEL CHURCH TODAY'S MESSAGE (26TH NOVEMBER 2023). THEME: Rest on Every Side (I Kgs.5:4; Matt.11:28) TOPIC: Preparing for Your Eternal Rest (Heb.4:9,11; Rev.21:1-7) MESSAGE BY: REVEREND TOPE ONI Definition of Rest – Rest is defined as: peace, quietness, cessation of painful and stressful labour, safety and security, and freedom from oppression. It involves two broad dimensions. The first dimension of all-round rest is: victory in our various needs, challenges and battles in life (I Kgs.5:4; II Chron.20:29-30). The second dimension is: spiritual rest, joy in the Lord, calmness and peace in our hearts, regardless of what we are going through, and irrespective of whatever is happening in our environment (Matt.11:28-30; Phil.4:4-7). CONDITIONS FOR ENJOYING GOD'S ALL-ROUND REST Joshua Selman emphasized that though the God of grace has made rest available to all human beings that will come to Him, it is not a free gift that all will enjoy. Not all human beings, and even not all church-goers will enjoy all-round rest in this life. This is because there are things to know and to do, for us to constantly enjoy all-round rest in this life (Heb.3:7-11). Quoting Ps.34:19 & Jn.16:33, Joshua Selman emphasized that all people that came to this life have faced and will face problems, challenges and adversities such as financial hardship, sickness, conflicts in the home, delayed marriage or fruit of the womb, physical attacks, depression and emotional illness and various forms of demonic attacks. He however emphasized that Christians increase the adversities, challenges and problems in their lives through: disobeying the principles and commandments of God; not having a right understanding and discernment of the way, will and mind of God; ignorance and not walking in wisdom; dishonouring people we should honour (pastors, parents, elders, and leaders) and demonic attacks. Almost all the ministers in the Convention emphasized that challenges will be highly reduced and we will overcome almost all life challenges through: foundational encounter with God at the new birth; continuous life-long encounter with God and being spiritually deep in the knowledge of the word of God; praying without ceasing; regular fasting; intimacy with God and with the Holy Spirit; and hearing clearly from God and following His leading and His voice, and walking in divine wisdom. Joshua Selman emphasized that not all church-goers know God and are spiritually minded, even though they sing, dance, and speak in tongues (Rom.8:1- . He also emphasized passionate worship with knowledge, understanding, depth and passion, as an instrument for receiving God’s blessings and all-round rest (Ps.47:7). If we follow all the above principles, adversities and unrest will be avoided, highly reduced and will be overcome 90 to 95% of the time, sooner or later. In the few cases of unmet needs, we will still have rest, with faith, patience, and longsuffering, in our relationship with God, particularly as we constantly remind ourselves that we are strangers in this world and that we will soon enter our perfect eternal rest.PREPARING YOURSELF TO ENTER GOD'S PERFECT REST IN HEAVEN Our perfect rest is not in this world, but in heaven. Even when our personal problems are solved in this world – some level of anxiety is still inevitable on various issues that may not directly have to do with you: issues with spouses, children and family members; wickedness of neighbours, human beings and political leaders; sin, ignorance, hypocrisies and contradictions in the Church, minor accidents; forgetting some things etc; all of which will still cause us some pain, sorrows, groanings and displeasure. Rest on every side does not also stop people from persecuting us for belonging to Christ, and for preaching holiness and righteousness. It is only heaven that we will eternally enjoy God’s Perfect Rest, without any pain or displeasure at all. In heaven, there is no sorrow, no sin, no wickedness, no unmet needs. The joy and pleasure of heaven is beyond description. We will have a new body. Heavenly Kindgom is completely different from the Kingdom of this world; it is a Kingdom of perfection in all realms (Rom.2:9-10; Is.65:17-19; Rev.21:1-5). If what Joshua Selman said is true, that though God’s all-round rest is available to all people in this world, but that enjoying it is not automatic and that not all people will enjoy it, it is all the more so, in respect of entering to our eternal rest in heaven. Making heaven is like making 1st Class in the University. It does not happen by chance, by luck, unprepared or expectedly. You must greatly desire it above all things, work hard with God by drawing from His infinite grace, and be willing to pay all necessary price and sacrifices, before you can make it (Matt.7:13-14, 21-23; Lk.12:32-40; 13:23-28; 21:34-36; I Cor.9:24-27). The following are some of the key tips for entering God’s eternal rest 1. Our divine encounter must continue all the time, through your deep intimacy with God, in praying without ceasing, in fasting, in loving fellowship with the brethren, in eating the Word of God daily, and studying other helpful materials – Is.40:29-31; Jer.29:13. 2. You must love the total truth of God, without being selective. Your heart must be totally open to the whole Word and truth of God – II Tim.4:1-5 3. Run away from sin and live a holy life. Believe that holiness and freedom from sin is possible in this world. Give God no rest until He gives you the gift of sanctification and total freedom from sin – Heb.12:14; I Pet.1:15-16; I Jn.3:8-9; 5:18 4. You must be willing to know your weaknesses, what is lacking in your life, and you must be willing to take correction, counsel and discipline, without argument, and without pride – Ps.139:23-24; Prov.9:8; I Cor.11:31-32; II Cor.13:5; Heb.12:5-11. 5. Knowing that God has two sides, that God is terrible and dangerous, though loving and merciful, you must be sober, watchful, and take the side of caution, moderation and self-denial in all things – Ps.2:11; Heb.12:28-29; I Thes.5:22; Lk.21:34-36; I Cor.9:24-27 6. You must pray for grace to make heaven every day, after you must have taken care of all the above – I Thes.5:17; Lk.21:36 7. Finally, you must have definite scriptures you are standing on, and have the faith that having done all, the grace of God will help you to make heaven – Lk.12:32; Jn.10:27-30; 14:1-3; Phil.1:6; Heb.7:25; I Thes.5:23-24. CONCLUSION If we take time to digest all the above points and seek God’s face to do them and walk in the light of God’s word, it will be easier to walk in all-round victory and enjoy the peace and rest of God. If there are few areas where the challenge appears persistent and our prayers are not yet answered, we will continue to walk with God in faith, patience, and longsuffering, with the determination that our love for God and faith in God is unconditional. Most importantly, our deep hunger and thirst must be making heaven. This must be our greatest desire and driving force, as we set our affection on the things above (Col.3:1-4; I Pet.2:11). This grace alone will make us to have rest here on earth, regardless of what we may be passing through, knowing that our stay here on earth is for a very short time, and that God’s perfect, eternal rest is waiting for us in heaven, if we continue to walk with God steadfastly, in holiness, righteousness, total obedience, passionate worship, with faith and patience (I Pet.1:3-9). |
Jewessgratitud3:Well said. Marriage is for matured people who can handle responsibilities. And most importantly who put God first. |
Truths9ja:I don't know how to react to this. This is exactly what Apostle Paul exhorted us not to do. The essence of speaking in tongues is for evangelism and edification of this church. How can the prayer edify this audience when they do not understand it and no one to interprete? They didn't even know when to say Amen. It's okay if he actually can't speak their language but since he can, he should have prayed in the language they understand. However God works in mysterious ways, it probably won't have made news if he hadn't prayed in Yoruba. So it would seem it achieved the purpose of evangelism and promoting the gospel. May God's will always be done and His name gloried in Jesus name. Amen. |
mycar:You did not read the reason or you missed it. They kept exceeding their admission limit for the course. |
Chygoz01:The most important day in a person's life is the day he begins to accept his/her blame and stop blaming others. The next is knowing when you have been defeated and accepting your defeat. Most igbos tend to blame others for their misfortunes but take the glory for their fortunes even when they were helped. When igbos finally accept that every one that partook in the civil war had a portion of their blame, igbos will be delivered from their anti-Nigeria agenda. The funniest part is that most igbos till date still do not accept that they were defeated in the war instead they have their own narrative of the war. That's the height of Pride and self-deceit and stubborness. The igbos have not healed and I hope they allow themselves to heal by telling them selves thr truth. |
adaperry25:Build friendship with her. For some, that takes time. |
Akano5:You're most welcome. Now another distraction is money. Don't chase money. Chase the things that money chases. Make yourself valuable. Put God first, building yourself spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. There's no limit to what God will make out of you. God bless you bro. |
adaperry25:There are 3 things involved. She's either in another relationship and you're the back-up or she is simply not so used to this relationship thing or she needs time. Communication is every thing. Have you asked her if she is in a relationship? Have you asked her the time convenient for you both to talk? Seems you have given yourself a deadline to marry as most Nigerians do. Patience is a virtue. Build a friendship with her and see how it goes from there. Your communication will naturally improve when she begins to like you. |
jkpbestseries:But the reason was clearly stated. Try dey read. No be every thing you go be reactor. |
jeromestarks:Whorever population. ![]() |
Teepresh2:This is what ensues when you jump on other people's lanes without knowing your own lane. She was seeking attention and signed a deal with the devil. Dear believer, that desire/lust for attention, let it die. The real work is in the field. Nigeria and the rest of the world needs missionaries. If not for missionaries, the gospel may not have gotten to Nigeria by now because we were knee-deep in idolatry. There are still so may nations still wallowing in idolatry and hell-bound. Please, if the gospel of Jesus Christ has indeed worked for you, there's a billion others who need to hear this gospel because they're still under bondage. God help us all. |
Coolsat:Obedience is better than sacrifice. Where does one even start from, as it is she obviously won't abort the baby cos she's scared of barrenness. He clearly is self-centered and wayward to make a responsible father. They both need to repent. God knows how to uncomplicate even the most complicated situations. God help them and us all. |
Akano5:Please don't tow this path cos it's just a matter of time before married women start coming for you. More importantly, sex is a major distraction in a person's life- male and female. If you can ask God to deliver you from that lusting spirit, you will realise how much productive time, money and other resources you spend on sex and getting sex. How much of your productive thoughts are wasted on sex and sexual activities. You sound young, you have a whole lot of years ahead of you to enjoy a healthy sex life in marriage. Spend this time making yourself successful. When you're broke and worried, even the thought of sex will turn you off. But when you both have peace of mind, even seeing yourselves alone will turn you on.| |
Newdawn30:God is trying his best to deliver you from this night life spirit, but na you no gree. What is wrong in spending that time with your loved ones and creating good memories together? What is wrong with spending that time to learn some thing productive? What is wrong in spending that time studying your Bible? Every man is created to be the Head of his home, you better start realising that your children will emulate you unless God delivers them from your hands willingly or unwillingly. |
pansophist:This is deep. I hope most get this. |
.
and I agreed totally.
That was how one lied that lovemaking is different from fornication when we're not even married.
