Corrinthians:Heavenly Father please forgive me from my years of blind foolishness. It's really sad to watch young intelligent counterparts exhibit such confident ignorance and continue to commit the great offence of dishonoring people who should be esteemed simply for conflicting ideologies and tribal/political/religious differences. While Professor Soyinka does not deserve this undue attacks and dishonor simply for sharing his informed view about the elections, and exercising his democratic right and especially for his renown in the Academia and Politics, I however perceive this may simoly be the price he has to pay for being a traditionalist. Yet I fear I may have also simply expressed my own religious inclination. However without the barrage of attacks associated with this generation of uncouth and emotionally low quotient youth who have failed to heal from their various dysfunctions, DJ Switch, Aisha Yesufu, Rinu would actually make great activists but for lack of understanding of the Principle of Honor. |
Evolutionism:You do realise that staying on the phone when you're on a date/meeting is rude, right? If you have to, you have to excuse yourself. This is basic social etiquette. Our body language some times speaks louder than words. However there are better ways of handling it. 1. He could have done the same to check her reaction. 2. He could casually address it with a joke. 3. He could also be firm if she persists. But after all is said and done, different strokes for different folks. |
UselessBuharist:What would you say is her destiny? She reminds me of Joseph in the bible or David or the early apostles. Persecution is a part of the journey. A little good news out of it all is that they married her and not rpe her. They seem to be honorable even in their misguided vision. And now she's being trained a medical practitioner on the field. Destiny doesn't always look rosy but the end justifies the means. My heart goes out to her parents. No parent can bear this except if they have found comfort in God. I pray this ends in testimony and salvation of so many souls and unity of Islam and Christianity as we come to understand that truly we both serve the God of Abraham (Ibrahim), Isaac (Isaka) and Jacob (Yakub) and Jesus Christ the Word of God, is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. |
SAMBARRY:Worded. Wisdom no go kee you. ![]() |
eepeepook:The first question to ask is, what is prayer? Then why do you have to pray. Then you will certainly desire to learn how to pray? And make praying a daily endeavor, not out of compulsion or manipulation but understanding and worship. |
TheRareGem1:You were too good for Nigeria. God definitely honors His Word and his faithfulness to His faithful servants/ministers. You made our generation realise the possibility of a god-fearing Christian to partake and succeed in Nigerian Politics without having his garment stained by corruption and mud-slingers. God bless all that you do and your lineage for ever sir. |
adecz:This is the truth. LASG has created a transport system that encourages extortionists viz LASTMA and Touts/Louts. Until Lagos state decides to sanitise its own home, thus hydra-headed menace cannot stop. I believe with Tinubu at the helm of power now, he has no choice but to put this too an end. Also the Ports are overcongested. Every Tom, Dick and Chukwudi is into Importing and Exporting business. The capacity of the NPA and the road system is being super-saturated and they are overwhelmed. The necessary authorities need to also sanitize that business and make importing less attractive and exporting more lucrative. This are some of the factors that contribute to our Naira devaluation against other currencies esp Dollar and Pounds and expensive consequently increased and unbearable cost of goods and service and living. I pray all of us play our parts accordingly- Leaders and followers. Because every one of us is the Governmemt of Nigeria, at least under Democracy. |
otipoju:Every thing is not important until it is what will exonerate you in a court case. Dey play. This is instructive. I love people who know their history and don't deny the truth. |
SAMBARRY:E come dey pain me say I no study law. ![]() When God remember you, e don remember you brotherly. Na season for better lawyers to cash'out. Na their time. This is what happens when tenant talk say him wan evict him landlord. O wrong now. |
DynamicWriter:This reminds me of the story of Asahel and Abner in the bible. Abner kept urging Asahel to stop pursuing him other wise he would have to kill him. But Asahel would not listen, he was hell-bent on murdering Abner who was a better warrior than him. He did not listen to reason until Abner had no choice but to stab him and he died. Some people will never hear word until they destroy themselves. Atiku will only learn the hard way. |

E be like he get money to waste. Well, how lawyers wan take chop. Every thing is working together for someone's good. ![]() |
saphiere:What Pastor Bakara said is the Truth, nothing else but the Truth. Mohbad was living double life. You're either for God or for Satan. Mohbad unfortunately chose Satan (money, worldliness) over Jesus (his calling). It's not easy to say considering the pain everyone feels about it. Worse still, we do not know the challenges of life that induced his decision. But no matter how much we like him or love his music, he made the wrong choice. Listened to his mother's interview with TVC, where she said a prophet(ess) was sent to her when she was pregnant with him. That he would be a Prophet of God. The mom was always reminding him of his calling but he did not take it seriously. |
MightySparrow:Truly looks are very important. However, as a believer we do not judge by sight alone but by the Spirit the person carries. Romans 8 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. The Jews missed Jesus Christ because they were judging him by sight. They had an expectation of the "proper look" and "proper background" he should have. John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. However, the conditions/guidelines for being a Pastor/Bishop are also enumerated; 1 Timothy 3: 1-7 This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; 4 one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence 5 (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. Based on this, we have to take our time to test his spirit and not be quick to judge by his looks. |
MightySparrow:I'll wait for you to correct the name of the wife of Moses before I address your point. It's important to get our information right. Any error distorts/corrupts our knowledge and invariably our understanding and interpretation of scriptures. |
KanwuliaExtra:Time, as always will tell. Just exercise a little patience, Thursday is just a couple of hours away. |
jawalis:How they speak. Then how they address/treat people. |
jawalis:Their demeanor. |
Gafferde:Certainly. But a woman can still be any of this and still be god-fearing. It's only a truly god-fearing man or woman that won't cheat. |
LillyandDaisy:This reminds me of his song, I don't remember the title, "iya mi baba won bi mi da. emi gangan mo tun tun rabi, loruko mi se njakin." |
PinkNature:Considering the current situation of things clearly it's not looking good. However, considering the short term and long term effect of his policies, things should be picking up by next year and amazingly before the end of this tenure. I will gladly forecast that majority of Nigerians will willingly and joyfully vote Tinubu for second term come 2027 elections. The KPIs will speak for themselves and it will not be theory only but practical reflection in major sectors of the economy and our livelihood. |
Herkim:Respect is reciprocal. If he has dishonored his old age then he is no longer deserving of honor. However for conscience sake and due to our tradition, handle with care lest people find you dishonorable. As one of the comments rightly advised, see if you can get another elder to talk to him and caution him. If it is a matter than involves escalation officially, religiously or to police station, you can also do the needful. Old age is an immunity badge only for those who respect their old age and respect others. |
DrGoodman:He is of commendable virtues. However, no one is "too clean". Those who have dirt on him have been threatened by his rascal/violent obidient followers. The kind of crime he committed are not serious but criminal all the same. His major undoing is his followership and how he can/does not manage/address their excesses. Under normal circumstances, he would make a fine president, but unfortunately in this time and period, he may not be able to handle and confront the challenges President Tinubu is grappling with. |
JasonNOTStatham:Like every other thing- by the Word and leading of the Holy Spirit. There is no one size fits all for a believer. However, the primary disposition is the way of peace. Blessed are the Peace makers for the shall be called Sons of God. |
Little21:Well said. Most times, the babes/wives that fall for redpillers usually deserve it or put them selves in that position, which is why my primary concern is really for the innocent kids. |
God works in mysterious ways. Who can know His thoughts? Who has known His Mind? Can that which is made decide for his maker what and how it should be made? Can the clay dictate to the potter the shape or design it should be moulded? Does God seek the counsel of man before executing His plan? But by the Spirit of the LORD, God does as He wills and reveals to His prophets and friends the intents and thoughts of His Mind. A lot of aspersions have been cast concerning the election of Jimmy Odukoya as the successor of his dad at Fountain of Life church. I too was skeptical about it. But after listening to this message, I was not only cut in the heart, I wept. The Grace of God on this man is not the type to cheat ourselves of. The effulgence of the Presence and Power of God was heavily manifest in this service as He addressed His election by God's Grace and He ministered to the spiritual needs of the church effortlessly with a Grace that is only Given by God. This particular Ministration has won my heart and I pray it also does what God intends it to do in the lives of every one who listens and watches with an open heart. The culmination of a Good Ministration is that God is glorified through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, evident in the Power of the Word unto salvation of souls and the edification of the church. Hallelujah! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLxJYzSg-Dk&pp=ygUXZm91bnRhaW4gb2YgbGlmZSBjaHVyY2g%3D |
Discovery According to Wikipedia, victim mentality is an acquired personality trait in which a person tends to recognize or consider themselves a victim of the negative actions of others, and to behave as if this were the case in the face of contrary evidence of such circumstances. Victim mentality depends on clear thought processes and attribution. In some cases, those with a victim mentality have in fact been the victim of wrongdoing by others or have otherwise suffered misfortune through no fault of their own. However, such misfortune does not necessarily imply that one will respond by developing a pervasive and universal victim mentality where one frequently or constantly perceives oneself to be a victim. Accorsing to WebMD, we all have our ups and downs in life. Bad things might happen to you or people you know on a daily basis. But there are some people who claim it is never their fault. They argue that they have no control over the tough situations and problems they encounter. It is simply always happening to them. Victimhood can become a part of a person's identity, but it is a learned behavior and can be changed. It often evolves as a defense mechanism to cope with adverse life events. People who constantly blame other people or situations for the events in their lives have a victim mentality. "It’s not my fault." Someone who acts from a place of victimhood claims things that happen to them are the fault of someone or something other than themselves. It might be the fault of their partner, family, co-worker, friend, or "the way the world is." They frequently complain about the bad things that happen in their lives. They are reluctant to take personal responsibility, asserting that the circumstances aren’t in their control. Some reasons and benefits to why people play the victim; 1. They don't have to take responsibility or be held accountable. 2. They get sympathy and access to favours. 3. They don't get to be subjected to the same conditions or pressures of others. Recovery 1. Acknowledge the issue and allow yourself to seek help and healing. 2. Start taking responsibility. 3 Educate yourself to know the Truth and how to overcome your challenges appropriately. 4. Surround yourself with people who take responsibility and are succeeding. Avoid people with victim mentality. 5. Give yourself time to properly heal. |
Little21:He does not know that sex is not casual for women. He thinks his touch was what set the tone. He has no idea that she was the one who seduced him and he fell for her game plan. Whatever she wants to get out of it, I hope his kids will be spared. On the spiritual side, he has just open more doors for spiritual attack in his home. Mr Redpiller is about to choke on his own red pill. While being a simp isn't a good thing cos babes keep taking advantage of simps. Being a redpiller is definitely not the solution. All I can say is to find the balance between being a "simp" and being manly. Because simping is a part of true manliness. And the intention should never be to become evil towards women by being misogynistic but to guard yourself from the evil women- karishikas and "feminists". When you meet a good woman, it will be foolish to treat her wrong but with respect and love. |
PapaHadum:I was replying some else's comment. Tinubu's lawyers did not mention "irreparable damage". Atiku is the one boasting that whatever he has on Tinuhu will cause irreparable damage. Tinubu's lawyers simoly applied for a delay to allow them prove some fallacies in Atiku's case |
PapaHadum:Atiku is the one claiming "irreparable damages". The only thing here will be his irreparable humiliation. |
Chingyyy878:Not all adults are adults (matured), even parents. |
