Farid24224:I actually didn't read it but he still suffered the consequences of fornication/adultery. When we understand that God's commandments are to save us from the consequences of Disobedience, we will love the law. And pray for the Holy spirit that can make us live above the law. |
maasoap:I actually didn't. Cos it's sad to continue to read repeat patterns really. The story and players/characters might be different but the moral is the same. |
michlins:Igbos are the most difficult people to lead/manage. I guarantee you that even if Nnamdi Kanu becomes their governor, they will still frustrate him till he can't perform. A whole Charles Soludo and Alex Otti who are perhaps the most cerebral Igbos of this generation are presently incumbents in Anambra and Abia respectively, yet their citizens do not value them. Any way Obiano has done his bid, let's hope Prof Charles Soludo will perform even more astronomically. If they do not value him, he is very welcome under Tinubu's camp or better off abroad where he will be valued like NOI. |
frenzy48:I just smile when I calculate how much Nigerian lawyers amd the judiciary system is making and stands to make frok these people. Labour Party should get a badge for really helping to enrich Nigerian legal system. |
Maize247:Any one who still takes dem serious seriously doesn't need to be taken serious. |
Kingosytex:People need to know that SM is a double edged sword. Learn to control it or it will ruin and destroy you. But if God wants to punish disobedient children, na so matter dey be. |
mariahAngel:Asun for sure. |
Righthussle:Not all ministers are called to the Pulpit. Pulpit ministry can be likened to Bishops or Pastors that head a church. Some are missionaries that are sent to the field. Most people run from field work which is where the real soul-winning and power is. Because it is exposed to spiritual attacks and confrontations and also not about money but preaching the gospel to establish God's kingdom. |
Calabar1stSon:The major problem with Jumia are the Quality Assurance and Control team. Integrity is a rarity. If you have honest staff treasure them. Nigerians will humble you. I really don't blame companies that have strict sanctions on their staff. Some times that's the only language Nigerian staff understand and respond to. I listened to the speech of AfDB president, Akinwunmi recently and he said it all. Never compromise on Integrity. |
seunmsg:Truly behind (or beside) a successful man is a strong/virtuous woman. I am so enamored by this woman's personality I can't even begin to shower accolades and encomiums on her for fear of DSS picking me up for crushing on the President's wife. God continue to bless and uplift her and fulfill his promises in her and through her and all around her and their lineage together in Jesus name. Amen |
Nasri100:It is a very painful but true reality. Some parents may not even know they carry that spirit until situation/circumstances brings it out of them. Honestly you don't know who you are or what you're capable of until you find yourself in the situation/circumstances. Which is why a wise person says God-willing or By God's Grace when addressing the future. |
Caaz:There's nothing new under the sun. If it was an intentional deceut on the part of the man, then that was not fair. She definitely should feel cheated. But could be the man was ashamed. However there are solutions to this. They simply need to go for marriage counselling. Test-running is inexcusable both for man and woman especially if you're a believer. For a believer, whatever comes your way is for your good as long as you love God. It is for God's glory. Cos God has a reason for it that will end in a testimony. Interestingly a similar scenario played out in a conversation with a colleague. A couple decided to be celibate till after wedding only for the wife to find husband is micropenial after. She felt so cheated. God eventually helped her when she opened up to a colleague at work who introduced her to a solution and she and her husband now have a satisfactory sexual life. I didn't really get the details of the solution but some thing herbal I guess. The challenge is when we don't truly and fully trust God. The things God can and will do for those who truly trust him, eyes have not seen and ears have not heard them. That's really what births the Miraculous moves of God. May God not give us tests/trials/temptations beyond what our trust/faith can handle. |
Jessyjeff:Majority are not shady but quite a number are. Because in present Nigerian politics, to drive the needed change, it requires a synergy some experienced hands from the past government and the unsoiled hands of the new breeds. It's a wisdom only God could have pieced together. That's why I don't believe for a second that it is Tinubu that's ruling Nigeria. It is God Himself that his giving him the divine wisdom and grace with which he is getting things right. I know ascribing God's grace to Tinubu might be offensive to some, but imagine how early Christians felt when Paul the murderer of Christians became a convert and started to preach to them? God's thoughts are not our thoughts, neither can His ways be likened to ours. Like the heavens from the earth so far is His wisdom and ways from ours. What man can search or understand it? Except by the Spirit of God Himself. Selah. |
nabiz:Are you not evil? |
Racoon:Be more concerned about what's happening in your own state. Let Lagosians worry about Lagos. Lagos is growing/developing/progressing. Can you say the same for your own state? |
Isokotolopia:Y'all keep getting this narrative wrong. GEJ practically ran/escaped from the pressure of governing a failed economy that he had reduced Nigeria to. He took Nigeria way backwards compared to where Obasanjo and Yar Adua had managed to drive the economy to because he allowed a free flow of Corruption since he lacked the power and prowess to rule the country. Like IconR said, he was simply a figure head, a stooge and puppet of both his wife and the Cabal. Him stepping down for Buhari was simply an easy route, get-out-of-jail-free card for him that helped him save face. He would have been the most hated president second only to Buhari. Those who are in the know such as Ngozi Okonjo Eweala, Lamido Sanusi etc know this. |
richie240:The serpent took advantage of the naivity and vulnerability of Eve. Samson disobeyed God by going against the covenant. And Yes, you've said it all, the average Eve is evil- pun intended.lol Just as the average Adam is adamantly evil. You need an Adam or Eve who fears God and loves Christ more than she loves you. This is like wise the condition that can really make help a man stay faithful to a woman just as Job. There's a reason everyone seeks God-fearing husband/wife. It's the genuine fear of God- not religion, that can make one stay faithful and assist love their husband and wife like Joseph. Outside the bible- there are several examples of God-fearing husbands/wives who have been faithful to their spouse. There are even simply moral people who simply chose to be faithful to their spouse because by providence they just "get it." Such may not get other aspects of the marriage right but they get the fidelity/trust right. For the complete buffet/package both husband and wife need to be God-fearing, with Christ as the head if the marriage. |
TONYE001:Women who are wise know there's a difference. Though adultery snd fornication is not the way out. Polygamy is not a sin. Its just not for bishops and deacons. But it's wisdom to marry one wife and be faithful to her. A woman can really go all out for a man who has every thing it takes to have every woman but chooses to remain faithful and loyal to her. |
ppogba:Some may even be kidnap/abduction victims. Yes Nigeria has failed many but that excuse is not tenable in the court otherwise we would all be committing crime. I lost hope in most youths when they started defending Evans the Kidnapper. It simply depicts that level of wrought of our morality as a nation. The question ergo becomes who do we really blame for this level of degeneration in our morality? Family? Religion? Nigerian institutions? Youths themselves? Or all of the above? |
Queenttoast01:Nigeria has been at war all this while. It is more of a social media war. Just as US, Russia, North Korea, and China have been having cyber wars. These wars however can degenerate from social media and cyber wars to actual physical wars like we see between Russia and USA (in the guise of Ukraine). Wars and signs of wars are signs of the end time as prophesied by Christ. Any one who is still casual about their lives and still doubting whether heaven and hell is real will have themselves to blame. Grace and Mercy multiplied to you and us all. |
BossGerald:It is a complicated situation. And you can discern the difference if you're being honest. As per OBJ, his explanation here seems honorable as he claims it was in defense of the Governor. However his execution was flawed. There are better and wiser and honorable ways he could have handled the situation. He can't escape his come-uppance unless he seeks their forgiveness. |
MrsTwrite:She reminds me of Abigail in the bible. Obasanjo behaved like Nabal. |
mrvitalis:Watch this detailed analysis of the presidential election by Fashola. You'll realise Prof WS is simply speaking without bias. At least these are 2 people that we should still respect their opinions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOBwPkHOI8M&pp=ygUaZmFzaG9sYSBvbiBwb2xpdGljcyB0b2RheSA%3D |
Kingosytex:What do you do when you can't kill them? Cos that's why Mohbad is no more. |
Gratefullheart:It is the root cause. God help them. |
Overnow:Most dysfunctionalities we suffer are by-products of our homes. We are simply products of our environments/backgrounds- family, religion, school, neighborhood, friends. Parenting is not easy and we really have to forgive our parents- a lot of them were victims of their own inherited battles too. Bible calls it generational curses. #LifeIsABattle #Imole #Justice4Mohbad May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and for ever. Amen. |
WhisperedNoise:Some times, some one has to become a scape goat for others to learn. Unfortunately it had to be him. Let's hope everyone that needs to learn from this learn and make adjustments accordingly. May God not make us bad example (proverb) in Jesus name. Amen |
Racoon:This is the major issue with one-man churches. It becomes a family affair. However, it does not negate the Grace of God on Jimmy, if indeed He has also received and confirned the calling. Grace and Mercy multiplied to us all. |
AntiChristian:Sadly some church-goers have chosen to be cojoined with tares and have become sons of perdition rather than sons of God. But God knows how to save His own, and He simply wants them and His labourers to be pure. |
yewit37486:Ok sir. |
obawinner:Who are they? Yes, tribalism is not necessairily bad as long as it has the interest of others at heart as well which is what cosmopolitanism is. |
