FERNANDEZISBACK:It's also good for other men to learn from this post. Apart from the humble bragging, I got something out of it. Funny enough this woman was actually quite special: she refunded everything to him since he was (in her eyes) being a dumbass. Something for other women to learn from. |
All the money to be given to the UK in terms of visa processing, airplane tickets, and first few months living expenses... is it not from this Nigeria these people got the money? Just think: about 3000 pounds for all the above X 1000 people per month. 3 million pounds 3000 pounds to japa, then complain that tomatoes dey cost. No wahala na. |
Buhari ground Nigeria to a halt in 1984. IBB borrowed our way into SAP. Abacha muted our voice. OBJ came and started unwinding this mess, Yaradua and Jonathan tried to expand on it, but Buhari is taking us back to 1984. We tell Nigerians to be wise, but I'm sure if IBB wanted to contest in 2023, mumus will still vote for him. |
Chyma231:Like you've not heard of all these cases (and these are the few that made the news): https://thenationonlineng.net/hard-lessons-learnt-nanny-subjected-slavery-us-nigerian-couple/amp/ https://royalnews.com.ng/nanny-slavery-uk-court-finds-the-adewakuns-guilty/ https://rollingout.com/2016/02/10/wealthy-nigerian-couple-in-texas-trick-and-enslave-woman-as-nanny/ https://www.cbsnews.com/news/couple-sentenced-for-making-nigerian-nanny-essentially-a-slave/ Just a warning to the wise... people are looking for free childcare because it's hella expensive. For the cost of visa and flight (about 2 months of full time paid nanny), you get a desperate girl nanny for 5 years living with you. |
What I'm hearing is uncle is looking for cheap in-house nanny that won't get paid anything. All he needs to is put up a ticket, and give you a room. Then mumu you will come and spend 10 years being nanny, no independence, no income, and no chance to meet anyone else. Please stay in your nursing school, and apply on your own to anywhere in the world. This nanny happened to get restitution from the courts, but I can imagine hundreds who suffered in silence for years. https://www.nairaland.com/4273063/nigerian-nanny-gets-121000-pay https://www.mcall.com/news/local/easton/mc-palmer-couple-nigerian-nanny-20161115-story.html |
Albert0011:How u take know? Of course it's refurbished ww2 aircraft. You think those armed forces chiefs will use the money to actually buy better planes? Half the money for their pockets; 1/4 for terrorists and their sponsors; then maybe 1/4 for aircraft. Nor be naija we dey? ![]() |
Is he being arrested for helping somebody recover, or for being a bandit? Health workers should not be arrested for treating anybody, including criminals. It's this kind of attitude that causes hospitals to refuse innocent gunshot victims. |
That's all I have to say after hearing the audio... |
I see another big apology loading. I'm not going to join the bandwagon so I will continue to doubt her story until we hear more from both sides. Anybody can photoshop accusations anyhow... it doesn't take much to just add Bae U's profile and name in a chat. Let's wait and see how this plays out. Remember those two girls who accused Davido of impregnating one of them? Real looking video and everything. |
She's right... a correct babe will come with her own damn refreshments. ![]() In fact, I will tell u to collect something from Aboki down the road before reaching my place. All this: "you must buy this", or " I can't date a man unless"... olosho dey disguise. ![]() |
Please let Sowore just go and find one corner to chill, sip origin, and watch football, abeg. This guy just likes insulting people up and down, yet at the end of the day, could not garner up to 34 thousand votes - barely bigger than the population of LASU. Meaning student body leaders have more pull than this guy. Osinbajo is one of the few leaders I can see has great potential. You want him to do what? He can only go along with his principal (Buhari), because that's the position of VP. If he becomes president, he can chart his own course and has shown he can govern well in the times Buhari was away. Heads and shoulders above noise making Sowore. |
Tzar:And how do women get these STDs? |
You know if this stuff worked, oyinbo would have been using it... oh wait, they do. It's called spanish fly. Which also doesn't do anything (except maybe introduce you to some toxins). |
helinues:Stocks - although they can be overvalued by irrational investors - represent an actual thing: a company with real products, serving a real market. Cryptos are gambling: there's no intrinsic value and the only reason it goes up is because people think it will. There have been enough trade-freezes on Bitcoin to make you realize that ultimately, you're not in control of it (as in, you can't sell it because the exchanges aren't exchanging). All the arguments in attempts to legitimize cryptos are just bunkum, in my opinion. 1. It's "independent of government"; but governments can ban trading in it, and/or ban the mining of it. Everytime there's some announcement about tightening controls, it falls. It's nearly 45% off it's high in November. What kind of independent coin is this? 2. It will replace currency. So I could buy three camry's for 1 bitcoin in November, but only two in January? What kind of nonsense currency is that? 3. It's a great asset that will continue climbing: The best of bitcoin has happened. At the very best it may hit $100k, or crash to $6k. One never knows. Treat it as a gamble, like the risky thing it is. |
obembet:NO problem, just don't forget that's how MMM was doing all kinds of notices and customer care emails... |
For ndi be anyi who want to keep building in Abuja... please reposition your investments to Igboland in SE and SS. I know Abuja is lucrative now, but places like Anambra are about to take off like a rocket. Aku luo uno. Nobody will suddenly dispossess you of your hard work in Igboland. |
AYNL:I think the color of the text does not matter. B has been assigned to blue. The question does not even ask about the color "blue", it asks which variable is assigned the text blue. B would still be correct even if the color of all text was yellow. |
In Abuja... one fine geh like that hired car to come to the spot to meet with me... she told me she had settled the guy and he took us around to several spots that night. Later now, as we drop her off at a street near home (she didn't want me coming to her house because she said her parents, blah blah). Just as she rushed out of sight, taxi guy said, my guy, your bill na 14k. Not that it's a big amount, but mumu me didn't have too much cash on me - because I'd spent it on our evening. It was later I realized that she was in a bit of a hurry to leave once the night was over. Later I thought she and the guy must have planned this, but because you no know who dey craze for Naija, I begged the guy to let me pay him the next day. Of course I paid... you don't want to be owing somebody and then they chook you bottle. Till today, I've not seen bae again. |
The irony of a pastor cursing other people for deceiving people and taking their money. Can somebody tell me the difference between pastor* and yahoo? Both prey on people's hope and desperation, get paid by their *Not all pastors, please put away the sticks. Just an overwhelming majority of them sha. |
See this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qcaggEL1z8 In this video, Niniola secretely stashes some of her man's newfound wealth, which she later brings out when he's broke. In other words, please advise your friend to apply wisdom. 1. She should not withdraw anything, because kasala go burst. 2. She should sit with her husband and discuss how to split the money: family money, and then his play money for entertainment and gambling. 3. If guy is not willing to listen - after all he's a married man now - leave him. I'm a man and I stand behind this. Society will say she should stay with her man through thick and thin, but guy is forgetting his own vows to take care of family. Gambling, like any other thing, is best done in moderation, after you've taken care of what you need to take care of. If you have extra 5k/month for beer or betting, no wahala. But if a man is gambling his family's future, all your friend will have is more heartbreak. |
Nonexisting:From a practical standpoint, it doesn't make sense to create lesser quality cars to compete in a market that is already being served by the huge used-car market. Just like the ordinary people cannot buy a new Toyota or Subaru, new Innoson vehicles are also not affordable. Folks just have to wait 5-8 years for there to be enough used Innoson vehicles. When it becomes cheap and affordable for companies to build cars in Nigeria (cheap electricity, cheap and plentiful flat steel, tubular steel, rubber, and other things that go into making cars), we can discuss affordable cars. I wish I can afford it, but for now, all I can do is admire and encourage. I even would like to take a 3-month internship with Innoson in Nnewi to study. I am very happy to hear this news about Gov Soludo's plan to use Innoson vehicles. |
Number1benue:Fuel costs more, as do the milling machines, as well as the salaries of everybody involved. Even police and road touts have raised their prices. Time, crops, and lives are also being lost to kidnappers, herdsmen, and others. Servicing your truck, buying tires for it, fixing ball socket joint due to bad roads, etc, cost more. The price of land to farm is more expensive - especially for all these newer farmers. The cost to import needed equipment has doubled in Naira terms since a few years ago. Even the bag to package the rice has added cost. My brother, please do not blame those who are trying. We're all feeling the effects of change. |
chatinent:You no know? Everybody (at least in Lagos) is a boiling pot of rage inside... just waiting to unleash on the unfortunate person. |
But your parents already gave you a lot of their wealth: you live well, got a good education, didn't have to hawk in the streets, 3 square meals and some snacks, the occasional outing, good health services, and you saw a side of life many don't ever get to experience. That's enough. Use the benefits of all the time and money they spent on you to gather your own wealth. You have been given a great advantage over many. You likely have a good network of people through your parents. What else again? I think it's a great idea for parents to reinforce in their children the need to work hard on their own. Otherwise you end up with many (not all), but many children of wealth who are a nuisance to themselves and everyone else. |
As a kid I remember when the elevators at 1004 were working, and I was so afraid to look down from the top floor. Ordinary 14 floors or so. Now imagine 93 stories? Chai, humans are brave sha... imagine being part of the construction crew!!!! |
Build house, build rental property, buy assets. They won't hear. Later they will be asking us to contribute for one health issue or another, wondering why they were "abandoned". Make hay while the sun shines - there's a reason for this proverb. |
Good development..... Enough of smells everywhere for our darling nation. Enough of the below.....
You know how to stop people from open defacating? Clean, well maintained, affordable public toilets, with running water, easy access to bleach, and paid staff. It's not by signing mandate and having police arrest people. Provide facilities. What we should be hearing is of how to seed toilets everywhere: markets, bus stations, etc. and how they will partner with private sector to make it profitable for them. We have examples of this in malls, banks, and filling stations. BTW, till now, do you know the streets of Paris still smell of piss? Look it up. |
slivertongue:You took the words right out of my mouth, my brother. Makes me wish for some things, but I don't want to cause wahala, so we just keep shining, showing the way. As always, we have haters on this thread bashing left and right. Just simple appreciate what is on ground, no, you want to remind me that my glass is half empty, meanwhile my glass is filling up. Jealousy kee una ![]() |
Eyaah... taking style to brag. ![]() I was going to just scroll to the the comments, but I saw this beautiful dark skin. I say make I use data, play video because she fine sha. How I wish she showed us what was causing the distraction, so I could judge for myself ![]() No wahala... enjoy your time young maiden. The day will come when nobody will be distracted by your bumbum. |
But how will anybody choose to play that kind of song at a wedding? Lady no wise: usually women hide their real intentions till after you don marry, don born. Why she come loose guard like this? |
Abegi... more likely Umahi paid some people to put these posters up. Even me sef, with my small change I can put posters on some streets. It doesn't mean shi shi. I'm not saying the guy is not qualified, I'm just very doubtful that any Northern youths will be campaigning for him. |
Nobody will run a single term in Nigeria. Na future impossible tense. So can these people stop telling us boldfaced lies. We no want Atiku, or Tinubu, or anybody from that generation abeg. We need people who understand technology, cryptos, manufacturing, basic science, economics. We need people with basic empathy and love for their fellow country people. We don't need people with expertise in stealing, borrowing loans, and chopping life. |
